Tuesday Night Battlezone #1

[Dark Match]:
Harry Smith pinned Norman Smiley after a backslide in 8:12

[Dark Match]:
Edge and Lance Storm defeated Raven and Ken Shamrock when Edge pinned Raven with the Spear in 9:57

Interview:
The President and Owner of the NWF is in the middle of the ring and wants to welcome everyone to the first ever NWF event and television show, Tuesday Night Battlezone. He says that over the next few weeks, we will see the competitors battle it out and work towards winning one of the three titles in the NWF. Those titles are the World Title, World Tag Team Titles, and the Pure Spirit Title.

Prince Albert pinned Tank Abbott with the Gorilla Press Slam in 4:25
Rating: 3/4*
This match was a big brawl between two monsters. Abbott tried his shoot fighting skill to take on Albert, but just couldn't handle him

Pure Spirit Qualifying Four Corners Match:
Hardcore Holly defeated TAKA Michinoku, Justin Credible and Snitsky:
x Michinoku beat Snitsky via the Michinoku Driver in 2:19
x H. Holly beat Credible via the Alabama Slam in 11:14
x H. Holly beat Michinoku via the Alabama Slam in 16:14
Rating: 3/4*
Hardcore Holly surprised everyone getting the victory here. Not to many high action spots though.

The Pitbulls defeated The Nasty Boys when J. Noble pinned Sags after a flying legdrop in 5:23
Rating: 3/4*
The Pitbulls looked impressive over the more experienced Nasty Boys. I don't think things will settle to well with the Nasty Boys after the loss though.

Steve Blackman pinned Lodi with the Jumping Kick in 6:19
Rating: 1/4*
Blackman pretty much manhandled Lodi in this match. It would have been over alot sooner if Lodi wasn't trying to back down from Blackman the entire time.

Pure Spirit Qualifying Four Corners Match:
The Wall defeated Owen Hart, Rey Mysterio Jr. and Lance Hoyt:
x The Wall beat L. Hoyt via a powerslam in 1:14
x The Wall beat O. Hart via the Choke Slam in 14:54
x The Wall beat Mysterio Jr. via a powerslam in 17:55
Rating: * 1/2
A nice solid match here with The Wall being the dominant force he is by eliminating all 3 competitors. The fans sure did get their money's worth though as this match featured a lot of action.

NWF World Title Qualifying Elimination Match:
Cactus Jack, Vampiro, Abyss and Sabu beat
Lex Luger, Mr. Kennedy, Rhino and Johnny Nitro 4 falls to 1:
x Double Countout (Abyss and Rhino) in 7:08
x Cactus Jack beat Mr. Kennedy via a powerslam in 11:55
x Cactus Jack beat Luger via the Double Arm DDT in 21:08
x Cactus Jack beat Nitro via a flying clothesline in 23:43
Survivors: Cactus Jack, Vampiro, Sabu
Rating: 1/4*
The most anticipated match of the night turns out to be a complete let-down. After the double countout, Cactus Jack destroyed all other competitors not really allowing anyone else to tag in, and when he did, he would tag himself back in within a minute or so. It appeared that Cactus wanted to show everyone what he could do with his hardcore attitude.

TV Rating: 1.42

Show Comments:
Not quite the show everyone was hoping for, especially for a debut. However with the talent the NWF houses, things should start to pick up as the weeks move on.  The most exciting matches should be between the all of the Pure Spirit Title contenders, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Tuesday Night Battlezone #2

[Dark Match]:
Carlito pinned Ken Shamrock with the Backcracker in 8:37

[Dark Match]:
Harry Smith pinned Duke Droese with the Stampede Powerslam in 9:06

Interview:
Cactus Jack comes out to the ring with a huge grin on his face and giving "Bang Bang's!" to the crowd as they boo tremendously. Cactus talks about his excellent showing last week and that if it wasn't for the double countout, then he would have eliminated every member in the elimination match. Since Cactus seems confident, he challenges his other 3 teammates from last week to a four corners match because he knows he can eliminate all of them as well. After the comment, the other 3 guys appear on the entrance ramp and say that they accept.

Interview:
After the commercial break, the screen shows The Wall arriving. Shortly after arriving he is met by Hardcore Holly who proceeds to tell him that at the pay-per-view, he will not only destroy The Wall, but the other 2 men that qualify.  The Wall responds by offering a challenge to Holly later on in the night and Holly says he has no problem with it.

Cryme Tyme defeated The World's Greatest Tag Team when S. Gaspard pinned C. Haas with the Spinebuster Slam in 4:55
Rating: 3/4*
Cryme Tyme was really playing to the crowd in this match while TWGTT were all about business. However after a mishap by Haas, Shad was able to hit the SS and pick up the victory for Cryme Tyme.

Hardcore Holly pinned The Wall after a dropkick in 4:04
Rating: 1/4*
This match started in the back, ended in the ring, and then continued to the back. Nothing but a slugfest with Holly picking up the win after hitting a vicious dropkick to The Wall's face.

Rhino and Mr. Kennedy defeated Lex Luger and Johnny Nitro when Rhino pinned Nitro after a powerslam in 7:04
Rating: 1/4*
Just like last week when these members were a team, they still couldn't get along with each other. Rhino and Kennedy had the slight edge though because they knew if they could snag a win, it could possibly get them into the big show for a chance to win the World Title.

Pure Spirit Qualifying 6-Man Battle Royal:
Owen Hart won a 6-man Battle Royal:
x Credible defeated Snitsky after a chokehold in 2:39
x Credible defeated L. Hoyt after a piledriver in 3:45
x Michinoku defeated Jr. after the Michinoku Driver in 11:23
x O. Hart defeated Michinoku after a double underhook superplex in 11:42
        x O. Hart defeated Credible after a belly-to-belly suplex in 17:45
Rating: ** 3/4
The fans were on their feet the entire time for this one. Credible was able to pick up two quick eliminations and ultimately made it to the end unfortunately being pinned by Owen. Owen however played it smart the entire match trying to conserve as much energy as he could which paid off big as the win qualified him for a shot at the Pure Spirit Title at the pay-per-view against fellow opponents The Wall and Hardcore Holly.

Four Corners Match:
Vampiro defeated Cactus Jack, Abyss and Sabu:
x Cactus Jack beat Abyss via an inverted Swinging DDT in 5:42
x Cactus Jack beat Sabu via a DDT in 8:19
x Vampiro beat Cactus Jack after the Vampiro Spike in 15:37
Rating: * 1/4
Cactus Jack almost made his promise saying he could eliminate everyone. After some nasty DDT's eliminating Abyss and Sabu, he and Vampiro battled it out for another 7 minutes before Vampiro ultimately knocked Cactus out with the Vampiro Spike. The win for Vampiro qualified him for the World Title match at the pay-per-view.
