Results of [FFW] Thursday Fights [26/04/2007]:

Interview:
FFW Commisioner William Regal comes out and announces that FFW has arrived. He then goes onto announce that tonight's main event will be a 6-team battle royale for vacant Tag Team Titles. And the World Heavyweight Title will be decided in a 16-Man single elimination tournament to start next week. Finally, after all of that -- Regal announced that he was commisioning his own special title -- the European Title. And the first title holder would be decided, right here, right now -- WILLIAM REGAL, European Champion.

Opening Match
"Silent Assassin" Chris Benoit vs Brian Lawler(w/ Tyson Tomko)
Chris Benoit started this match in control and it stayed that way until Lawler went to the outside. Benoit tried to plancha out on to him, but Lawler's bodyguard, Tyson Tomko caught Benoit. WHile Lawler got back into the ring and distracted the referee, Tomko hit Benoit with a DDT on the outside. Lawler then got the countout victory.
Brian Lawler defeated Chris Benoit by countout in 0:04:42.

Interview:
Rene Dupree came to the ring waving the French flag and proclaiming it's greatness. This brought out the Patriot who immediately challenged Dupree to a match.

The Patriot vs Rene Dupree
This was a brief battle that ended whn the match spilled to the outside and both wrestlers couldn't be seperated. Eventually Dupree got control off the after match and choked The Patriot out with the US Flag. He left, but not before laying the Frech flag over the fallen Patriot.
Rene Dupree and The Patriot battled to a double countout in 0:05:00.

Interview:
Elijah Burke and John Cena crash into each other backstage. They have a staredown, before moving on.

CM Punk vs Harry Smith
These two put on a good display, that was spoiled by a double countout, when the referee was knocked out and they were attacked by two men wearing balaclavas. They were left laying on the ground outside the ring. One of the masked men shook the ref awake and hid under the ring. The referee had no choice but to count out the Punk and Smith.
Harry Smith and CM Punk battled to a double countout in 0:10:48.

Henry Godwinn vs "Mecca of Manhood" Shawn Stasiak(w/ Stacy Keibler)
A solid showing between these two. Godwinn commanded the majority of the match but a distraction by Stacy allowed Stasiak to take control of the match. A mistimed corner charge by Stasiak allowed Godwinn to re take control of the match, but Stacy jumped on the apron and hit Henry with her shoe in the elbow right in front of the referee leading to the DQ.
Henry Godwinn defeated Shawn Stasiak by disqualification in 0:04:02.
Henry Godwinn suffered an elbow injury. He will be out for approximately 1 card.

MAIN EVENT
6 Team Battle Royale
D'Lo Brown and Mark Henry vs The Daredevils[Luke Hawx & M-Dogg 20] vs X-Force[X-Pac & Xavier] vs The Dominators[Bobby Lashley & Ron Simmons] vs The Panthers[New Jack & Muhammad Hassan] vs The American Males[Chris Masters & Mark Jindrak]
All men started in the ring together. The referee had a hard time keeping the teams apart until everyone was assembled. Mark Henry was the first wrestler eliminated when he was suprised with a drop toe hold by Luke Hawx, as Henry crashed into the ropes Hawx and his partner, M-Dogg 20 pushed him over the top rope. Next to go were the Daredevils, when Luke tried to execute an apron assisted legdrop on New Jack as his head was layin under the bottom rope. New Jack moved, Luke missed and was gone from the match. We were down to three quickly when X-Pac punched Chris Masters over the top rope with an assist from his partner, Xaver who was crouched behind Masters. X-Pac was then caught unawares by Muhammad Hassan who picked him and just tossed him over the top rope. The last two teams: The Panthers and The Dominators battled back and forth with neither team really getting an advantage until Ron Simmons charged Hassan and nailed with a vicious lariat then sent him crashing backwards into the ropes. SImmons then hit Hassan with a second lariat and he went crashing over.
Bobby Lashley and Ron Simmons won a 6-team Battle Royal:

Nice mix of guys so far, interesting read
