WRESTLING RAGE X

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Shannon Moore pinned Jack Evans after a flying legdrop in 0:04:30.
Rating: * 1/2

This match featured a high risk move being countered wisely by Shannon Moore that would lead to the end result. Jack Evans had Shannon Moore setup for a Moonsault. When he tried to land it, though, Shannon Moore got his knees up. Jack Evans immediately clutched his ribs as a result and you could tell he was in some pain. Shannon Moore quickly rebounded to the top rope and hit a flying legdrop. Shannon Moore went for the pin and used the ropes as leverage out of the referee's vision to gain the three count.

After the match, Shannon Moore got on the microphone and told the fans that there is only room for one punk in WRX. That man isn't CM Punk, it's "The Prince of Punk" Shannon Moore. The Prince of Punk talks about there is a lot of fanfare for the arrival of CM Punk. Shannon Moore doesn't think a true punk would advertise himself the way CM Punk does. In fact, Shannon Moore goes as far as to call CM Punk a "sell-out." The WRX Arena fans chant "YOU'RE A POSER" to Shannon Moore as he leaves the ring.

Interview:
Los Guapos VIP are shown partying at a club after their victory last week with Cibernetico against La Parka, Octagon, and Charly Manson. Alan Stone and Intocable bask in the glory of having gorgeous women all around them. Alan Stone tells Intocable that this is great but it shouldn't be a surprise since they are Guapos and the women just flock to them like seagulls to bread crumbs. Intocable says that they are the best tag team in WRX. He wonders if there are even any other tag teams besides them, that's how good they are. Alan Stone agrees and throws out a challenge to any tag team to face them in a match next week. Alan Stone and Intocable go back to paying attention to all the gorgeous ladies they've met at the club they're at.

Octagon made Charly Manson submit to the La Escalera in 0:10:45.
Rating: ** 3/4

Like the previous match, a missed moonsault would play a role in the outcome of the match. The WRX Arena fans were very much into the lucha libre action between two of Mexico's best luchadors. The fans in particular were firmly behind Octagon throughout the match. This was one of those matches where it lasted a little more than ten minutes, but the action was so exciting that the time went by quicker than that it seemed. Charly Manson had Octagon setup for a moonsault, but he hesitated for a moment to do his taunt. When Charly Manson went for the moonsault, Octagon was playing possum and rolled out of the way. Octagon whipped a dazed Charly Manson off the ropes and met him with a shoulderblock. Octagon didn't waste anymore time as he applied his submission hold, La Escalera. Charly Manson had nowhere to go as the hold was locked on in the middle of the ring and he would quickly submit.

After the match, Octagon is attacked by Cibernetico's latest ally in his war against La Parka, Chessman! Cibernetico joins Chessman and Charly Manson in beating down on the defenseless Octagon until La Parka runs down to the ring to help his friend. Even though La Parka is a formidable wrestler, even he was defenseless against the 3 on 2 advantage of Cibernetico's group. Chessman  brings a table into the ring for Cibernetico to attempt a Ciberbomb on La Parka through the table. This would not happen because Vampiro ran to the ring to even the odds. With the odds even, La Parka, Octagon, and Vampiro were able to make Cibernetico, Chessman, and Charly Manson leave the ring.

Interview:
Another CM Punk promo is shown hyping his debut for Wrestling Rage X.

After the promo, Lacey is shown standing by with Slykk Wagner Brown and his girlfriend, April Hunter. Lacey asks why Slyk Wagner Brown helped Syxx-Pac by costing Tommy Dreamer the match. Slykk says it wasn't anything personal, he just had to make an impact against someone. It just so happened it was against Tommy Dreamer. Slyk Wagner Brown warns Tommy Dreamer to not think about getting payback against him because he'll just end up putting his career in jeopardy.

Justin Credible pinned The Sandman with the That's Incredible in 0:06:58.
Rating: ***

Syxx-Pac would play a role in the outcome of this match which isn't much of a surprise considering his ability to be that annoying since the beginning of WRX. When The Sandman was near the ropes and Justin Credible was distracting the referee, Syxx-Pac grabbed The Sandman's cane and hit him with it. While the singapore cane didn't phase The Sandman too much, it did distract him from Justin Credible who was waiting behind him. When The Sandman turned around, Justin Credible kicked him in the stomach and executed That's Incredible to get the three count.

Interview:
WSX Commissioner K-Fed announces the second signing he promised two weeks ago. K-Fed says that while he is happy to be announcing this wrestler's signing with WRX, they are not a bigger star than Johnny Nitro. K-Fed announces that he has signed "Mr. Number One" Sonny Siaki! The WRX crowd booed Sonny Siaki, perhaps expecting a past ECW star or an even bigger name. Sonny Siaki smirks at the crowd's response but it doesn't seem to phase him. K-Fed looks to shake the hand of Sonny Siaki, but instead of a handshake, Sonny Siaki grabs the microphone from him. Sonny Siaki notes that he did sign two big stars in the world of professional wrestling. K-Fed even made mention that he is indeed "Mr. Number One." However, the mistake K-Fed made was saying that Johnny Nitro is a bigger star than Sonny Siaki. Siaki continued by stating that he will not be a stooge to K-Fed like Johnny Nitro and Melina. Sonny Siaki, being "Mr. Number One," looks out for himself and no one else. Sonny Siaki adds that from what Sonny Siaki knows of Melina, it wouldn't be too far fetched to think Melina might get K-Fed in trouble with Britney because she likes to get a-head.

K-Fed is furious with Sonny Siaki as he did not envision him rebelling against him like this. He won't put up with someone like Sonny Siaki talking to him like about his wife like that nor will he allow him to talk about his A list friends that way either. K-Fed says that he had planned for Sonny Siaki to have his debut match tonight, but not anymore. As far as K-Fed is concerned, his night is over. As K-Fed is about to leave the ring, Sonny Siaki grabs him and executes the Siakalypse! The crowd that booed Sonny Siaki to start the segment, are now cheering him for laying out K-Fed in the middle of the ring. Johnny Nitro runs down to the ring but Sonny Siaki leaves the ring smirking before he can get to him as he has already proved his point to K-Fed.

Slyk Wagner Brown pinned Stevie Richards with the Haterbreaker in 0:06:18.
Rating: * 3/4

Last week, Slyk Wagner Brown made a huge impact when he cost Tommy Dreamer the match against Syxx-Pac after attacking him on the outside of the ring, even hitting the Haterbreaker on him. After that and his interview earlier in the show, it is easy to see that Slyk Wagner Brown is not short on confidence. The fact he has a beautiful, buxom valet with him probably doesn't make any less arrogant either. In this match, Stevie Richards offered some offense here and there, but the offense he managed to get didn't last long. Slyk Wagner Brown was just too much for "The King of Swing" Stevie Richards. Slyk Wagner Brown executed the Haterbreaker to get the three count.

Interview:
Kurt Angle, the WRX World Champion, is walking down the hallway when WRX Commissioner K-Fed greets him. K-Fed says WRX has the best champion in professional wrestling. Likewise, Kurt Angle says WRX has the best commissioner. His idea to make his match against Rob Van Dam two weeks ago a Ladder Match was brilliant. K-Fed thanks him and then asks him if he'll be watching Rob Van Dam taking on Sabu in a Number One Contender's Match. Kurt Angle says that not only will he be watching the match but he'll be giving guest color commentary for the match. K-Fed warns Kurt Angle not to disrupt the main event. Kurt Angle promises not to as K-Fed walks away but a smile envelopes across his face as the segment goes to a commercial break.

Sabu and Rob Van Dam battled to a draw in 0:20:00.
Rating: **** 1/4

Kurt Angle did provide guest color commentary for this match. He did a good job of that too, that is, if you count putting yourself over the entire time and talking about your accomplishments instead of the action in the ring as good commentating. Both Rob Van Dam and Sabu had a lot of energy going into this match as both knew the stakes that were on the line to the winner. The winner would become the number one contender to challenge Kurt Angle for the WRX World Title. Rob Van Dam especially looked motivated as he wants to get retribution for the lack of respect Kurt Angle showed him last week after offering to shake his hand. Unfortunately, neither Sabu or Rob Van Dam could claim to be the number one contender tonight because of Kurt Angle's interference. The referee had been knocked out cold in the match, which left Sabu and Rob Van Dam to fight as extreme as they wanted to. Kurt Angle noted to Joey Styles that there wasn't much time left in this match as the time limit was a few minutes from 20.

In the ring, Rob Van Dam had managed to hit the Five Star Frog Splash on Sabu but there was no referee to count, but he was starting to stir. It was at this time that Kurt Angle got up and grabbed the chair he had been sitting on and brought it into the ring. As Rob Van Dam turned around from checking on the referee he was met with a chairshot that knocked him to the mat. Kurt Angle picked Sabu up and hit the Angle Slam onto the chair. Kurt Angle threw the chair to the outside of the ring and shook the referee until he finally came to. Kurt Angle arrogantly left the ring and looked at his watch. The referee spotted both Sabu and Rob Van Dam down on the mat and started a ten count, but the time keeper rang the bell interupting the count signalling a time limit draw. The referee does have the ability to extend the match but since Rob Van Dam and Sabu were still out cold from the attack from Kurt
Angle, it made no sense to extend the time.

What does this result mean as far as who will face Kurt Angle for the WRX World Title? Because of this draw between Sabu and Rob Van Dam, there is no top contender to the World Title. Not only is Kurt Angle a great wrestler, but he's intelligent. Proving that his motto is not just a catchphrase, it's true. It's damn true.

Interesting show...

I can't stand Shannon Moore... but I guess that's the point, eh?  Moore and Punk should be interesting, so long as you can do something original and entertaining with it.

Can't get behind Los Guapos VIP... but I like open challenges.  Color me slightly interested.

I like the Slyk Wagner Brown character already.  Good way to bring him in by warning Dreamer not to seek retaliation.

Credible... Sandman... meh.

Great segment with Siaki.  That's a hard sell to bring him in as a face, so turning him on K-Fed is a smart way to do things.  I wouldn't have thought to do that.  Plus you have an interesting insta-feud between Nitro and Siaki.  (But the "a-head" joke... not so much :P)

Good main event too.  Kurt, RVD, and Sabu are a nice core to this group.  Triple threat match?  Or maybe a rematch next week.

Nice job!

Good opening match, and I really like Shannon Moore.  The Moore/Punk feud was something WWE should have explored more, but instead they did one short promo and Moore got squashed. *sigh*  Hopefully you do the feud some justice.

Those silly sex-crazed luchadores.

I like how you're trying to do some new things with bringing in a lot of luchadors and such, and I commend you for that.  So far though, I have trouble caring too much.  There are a lot of them you're bringing in, and I know the names but don't know most of the characters, so it's becoming a wash for me.  I'm also not your target audience, but yeah.

Waltman always makes me giggle.  Such a little crackwhore. :)  Helping Credible win I am okay with though, as meh to The Sandman.

Did not expect such a strong debut for Siaki, but it worked.  And K-Fed is amazingly awesome.  If WWE doesn't sign him fulltime, they're missing the boat on a GREAT heel.  And you have a Siaki vs. Nitro feud all ready to go, so woohoo.

I like Slyk, and Stevie makes such great fodder.

Angle makes a great champ, but his not wanting to fight either RVD or Sabu tactic is sure to backfire. :)
