My WWE Fed

wicked_rexPosted on 01/05/07 at 17:19:52

Hey everyone! I'm brand new to the forums, but I've been checking them out for a while now. I've been a huge fan of TNM for a few years now, but I've always jumped from running one fed to another and never focused on one particular one. I enjoy reading the other posts from people who have their own TNM feds, and I thought I would join. I should have my first card up in a couple days (whenever I find time to finish running/writing it). I hope that when I put it up, everyone enjoys reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Thanks, Rick. Hopefully I can keep everyone posted.

Monday Night Raw
January 1, 2007
American Airlines Arena
Miami, Florida

["To Be Loved" by Papa Roach begins to play as the opening of the Monday Night Raw video shows on-camera. After a few moments, the video ends and the camera goes inside the darkened American Airlines Arena, where the crowd is going crazy! Pyrotechnics and fireworks shoot from the stage, illuminating the arena in multi-colored light. As the explosions come to an end, the lights come back on; the smoke clearing to the ceiling. The camera pans around the arena, as the audience members scream and yell, hoping to get on television. After panning the arena, the camera goes down to the broadcast table, where Jim Ross and Jerry "the King" Lawler begin the show...]

Jim Ross: "What a way to start off the New Year! World Wrestling Entertainment is making it's debut here on the USA Network. We are live at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. I'm Jim Ross, alongside Jerry "the King" Lawler! Tonight, we are scheduled to crown the first-ever WWE Champion as eight of today's biggest stars enter this ring to determine who is the best. King, I'm looking forward to a very enjoyable evening."

Jerry "the King" Lawler: "I am too, JR! I know these people in Miami have been waiting for this day for quite some time! But, as you said, tonight's tournament should answer a lot of questions coming into the New Year... and the start of the new WWE! Tonight is going to be amazing!"

[The Rock's entrance music begins to play as the crowd in Miami goes insane, cheering for the hometown boy. The Rock makes his way onto the stage, where he stops to flex his muscles before heading down the ramp. As he reaches the ring, he walks across the apron, where he stands on the outside turnbuckle and raises his right arm in the air while closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. Cameras flash all around the American Airlines Arena as The Rock gets off the turnbuckle and enters the ring. He walks over to the opposite side turnbuckle and mimics his actions there; getting the same result. After a moment, he gets off the turnbuckle and awaits his opponent... Johnny Nitro is introduced as his music begins to play. He appears on-stage in full-length, fur coat and wearing sunglasses. The crowd begins to boo as he makes his way down the ramp, taunting the crowd at ringside. Nitro slides under the bottom rope, stopping in the center of the ring, where he makes the motion of humping the air, towards the camera. Getting to his feet, Nitro takes off the fur coat as his music dies down. The referee starts the match...]

The Rock pinned Johnny Nitro with the Rock Bottom in 13:43.
Rating: ** 3/4

[... the crowd goes crazy as The Rock is announced the winner. The referee raises his arm as he takes another deep breath and closes his eyes; camera flashes once again filling the inside of the American Airlines Arena. The Rock leaves the ring as Nitro slowly gets to his feet...]

JR: "What an impressive victory for The Rock, tonight, King! Johnny Nitro showed some promise, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to get past the "Brahma Bull"."

King: "So, now The Rock moves on to the second round. Good for him, JR."

[Lance Cade is introduced to the crowd as his music begins to play. The crowd in Miami watches in shock as the San Antonio "hick" makes his way onto the stage in a white cowboy hat and black leather trench coat covering his white pants. Cade walks down the ramp, paying no attention to the crowd's reaction, and enters the ring where he stands in the corner, taunting the crowd. He takes off his hat and coat as he waits for his opponent... Funaki is introduced. The crowd begins to cheer as he walks on-stage. In the ring, Lance Cade smiles and begins to chuckle to himself as Funaki walks down the ramp...]

King: "JR, I can tell you right now that this match is not going to end well for Funaki. He's at a huge disadvantage just walking to the ring!"

JR: "I agree with you, King. Funaki is giving up about 90 pounds to Lance Cade, but I've seen Funaki pull off some amazing matches with unbelievable results. I know, tonight, he's hoping he can have another one of those matches tonight."

[...now in the ring, Funaki stares at Cade across the ring as the referee starts the match...]

Lance Cade defeated Funaki by disqualification in 7:44.
Rating: *

[... the bell rings, signaling the end of the match. The crowd begins to boo as Lance Cade is announced the winner. Mike Chioda, the referee, holds the back of his neck as he raises Cade's arm into the air. Funaki walks over and begins to argue with the referee and the crowd begins to boo him for his actions, which ultimately led to him losing...]

JR: "This is uncalled for! Funaki knows damn well what he did, and he knows that's why he lost! I cant' believe he's trying to plead his case!"

[... as Funaki turns around, Cade - who hadn't left the ring yet - nails him with a vicious clothesline, knocking him down to the canvas. The crowd begins to boo once again as Cade leaves the ring, leaving Funaki lying in the center of the ring...]

King: "Well, there's your problem solver, JR! Cade got the victory AND the last word, tonight! I'm sure it won't be anytime soon that Funaki forgets this match."

[...Cade makes his way up the ramp as the camera goes backstage...]

[...backstage, Maria Kanellis is standing by with The Rock...]

MK: "Rock, earlier tonight, you defeated Johnny Nitro to advance into the next round of the WWE Title tournament. After watching what just happened with your opponent, how do you feel going into the next round?"

Rock: "Maria, The Rock knows that a lot of people weren't expecting to see The Rock back in the WWE for quite some time. But, as The Rock has always said from Day One; The Rock's heart will always be in the WWE! Now, to get away from that point, The Rock will say this about his opponent - Lance Cade."

"Lance Cade, The Rock says that you got away with that victory only on the basis of Funaki's misunderstanding of the rules! Now, Lance Cade, you need to realize that The Rock isn't going to make that same mistake, because The Rock knows what's at stake! The Rock knows that someone, later tonight, is going to be crowned the WWE Champion, and there's only one person that the title belongs to... and you're damn wrong if you think it's anyone other than The Rock! Lance Cade, The Rock hasn't been inside a wrestling ring for a long time, but as you could clearly see tonight, he still knows how to beat the hell out of some jabroni named Johnny Nitro! It's just a matter of fact that you, Lance Cade, are the next name on the list that The Rock has to take down before he can once again be on top of the WWE! So, Lance Cade, The Rock hopes you can gets some much needed rest before our match, because when The Rock steps into that ring, he's goin' beat the hell out of your rooty-poo candy ass! If you smell... what The Rock... is cookin'."

[... the crowd in the arena cheers as The Rock raises the "People's Eyebrow" and walks off-screen. Maria looks on in awe as Raw goes to commercials...]

[...as Raw returns back from commercials, the camera shows the arena floor. Gene Snitsky is introduced. The crowd looks on in awe as he walks on-stage, with a large goatee tied into a straight line, hanging from his chin. He walks down the ramp as the crowd murmurs, having never seen this man before. He enters the ring and waits for his opponent... Eugene is introduced. The crowd is surprised to see William Regal accompanying him to the ring, as the two men make their way down the ramp. Eugene, who seems to be a little handicapped, enters the ring and begins to run around, his arms spread apart - like an airplane. The crowd watches in shock as he finishes and takes off his jacket. The referee starts the match...]

Eugene pinned Gene Snitsky with the German Suplex in 7:43.
Rating: ***

[...the bell sounds as Eugene slides out of the ring, jumping up and down in celebration of his victory. The crowd, just like Snitsky, look on in shock as Eugene is announced the winner...]

King: "I can't believe it, JR! Eugene is moving on to the next round! Could it be possible that... well, he could be the new  WWE Champion?"

JR: "It's damn well possible, King! But, it's really hard to say after only his first match! We know there are two other very gifted Superstars moving on to the second round. So, just as it was when Raw started this evening, this tournament could still be won by anyone!"

[...Eugene and William Regal make their way up the ramp as Snitsky slowly gets to his feet, holding the back of his head. The camera goes backstage, once again where Maria is standing by with Lance Cade...]

Maria: "Lance Cade, moments ago, your opponent in the second round - The Rock - made some comments about your upcoming match in the second round of the tournament..."

LC: "Yeah! I know that The Rock came back here and was runnin' his mouth, just like he used to do a few years ago. But, Rocky, what YOU need to understand is that... those days of runnin' your mouth are over! You wanna stand back here and make a mockery of my victory over Funaki? That's fine and well in my eyes. But, the fact is, you still have to get into that ring with me... and I won't let anything stand in my way of winning that WWE Championship! So, Rocky, you can bring whatever the hell you want to down that ramp: your "People's Eyebrow", the "People's Elbow"... nothing really matters! But, what will matter, Rock, is that when that bell rings and I'm announced the winner - and moving onto the next round - you will k now first-hand, that you just got beat by one pissed off Texas Redneck!"

[...Cade angrily leaves the set as Maria looks worried. The camera goes back to the arena floor...]

[...William Regal is introduced. The crowd looks on in confusion, as they just saw him accompanying Eugene to the ring during the last match...]

JR: "Are you serious?"

King: "What's going on here, JR?"

JR: "I have no idea! But, King, if William Regal wins this match, he's going to face Eugene in the next round!"

King: "This is great, JR!"

[...now in the ring, Regal uses the top rope to stretch his arms as he waits for his opponent... Val Venis is introduced as seductive music begins to blast through the American Airlines Arena. The women in the crowd begin to cheer as Venis appears on-stage, wearing a towel around his waist. Slowly, he walks down the ring, trying to find the most attractive women in the crowd near ringside. Getting into the ring, he unwraps the towel and spins it in the ring in front of him a couple times before throwing it to the outside of the ring. His music dies down while he stares at a busty brunette in the third rows of seats. Taking advantage of Venis' distraction, Regal starts the match with a huge forearm to the back. The referee starts the match...]

Val Venis pinned William Regal with the Money Shot in 14:56.
Rating: *** ¾

[...the bell sounds as Val Venis is announced the winner. The women in the audience begin to cheer as he leaves the ring, sweating profusely. He makes his way up the ramp as Regal slowly gets to his feet, holding his midsection. From the backstage area, runs Eugene, who slides into the ring and comes to the aide of Regal...]

King: "What is Eugene doing? He's got a match coming up, shortly, with the man who just beat his mentor!"

JR: "I think Eugene's just showing concern for a friend, King! I know that's a lost concept on you, but Eugene is just an overall nice person. Is that so hard for you to understand?"

King: "Yes!"

[... Eugene aides William Regal out of the ring and up the ramp as RAW goes to commercials...]

[...RAW returns, showing a graphic of how the tournament has played out in the first round. After the graphic leaves the screen, the camera shows the ring area...]

JR: "Folks, during the break the "King" and I were just given word that, due to some sort of controversy in the opening match between Johnny Nitro and The Rock, General Manager Jonathon Coachman has issued that this match be restarted! King, this match is going to happen again!"

King: "Well, I'm sure that the "Coach" has a good reason for doing so. I don't see this as a bad thing, JR."

JR: "You don't? King, The Rock already defeated Nitro earlier tonight. And, for some reason that we didn't see out here, Coachman has put it upon himself to restart the match! The only bad thing - and the biggest bad thing - is that Coachman is doing this to make sure The Rock doesn't win the WWE Title! For whatever reason he has, it's absolutely ridiculous!"

[Johnny Nitro is introduced, once again, as the crowd begins to boo. He makes his way on-stage, and down the ramp, where he enters the ring. However, this time around, he foregoes his regular entrance. This time, he stands in the corner and takes off his jacket; a seriously focused look covers his face... The Rock's music begins to blast through the PA System as he is introduced. The crowd goes crazy as he appears on-stage, but only or a moment. The Rock runs down the ramp, sliding into the ring as the referee starts the match...]

Johnny Nitro pinned The Rock after an enzuigiri to the face in 0:25.
Rating: *

[The bell sounds as Nitro's music begins to play...]

JR: "I can't believe this! You might not admit this, King, but The Rock just got screwed out of his chance to become WWE Champion! I hope Jonathon Coachman is getting a good laugh from this!"

King: "JR, The Rock had his chance, and he lost."

JR: "He most certainly did not! King, where in the hell have you been all evening? You know damn well The Rock beat Nitro earlier tonight. Nitro should be on his way back to the hotel right now!"

King: "But, JR, obviously is Coachman resigned this match, the one from earlier doesn't count."

JR: "And, you don't think anything is wrong with that?"

King: "How could I? JR, we have to go along with what "Coach" says, because he runs the show here on RAW."

JR: "For the love of God, King, get your head out of "Coach's" ass! I know there's not anything I can do about it, for fear of my job, but I know damn well that what Jonathon Coachman is doing is wrong on all levels!"

King: "Well, you said it yourself, JR. There's nothing you can do about it. I guess you just live and learn."

[In the ring, The Rock looks dumbfounded at his quick loss. Suddenly, his look turns to pure anger as he gets to his feet and leaves the ring, making his way to the backstage area...]

[Backstage, Val Venis is seen drinking a bottle of water, pouring some of it on his head as he tries to cool down in time for this second match of the evening...]

JR: "There we can see Val Venis, who defeated William Regal earlier tonight. I wonder who he's going to face in the next round, King."

King: "Don't look at me, JR. I have no idea! I'm sure "Coach" has everything under control."

JR: "I bet he does."

[The camera goes back to ringside as Lance Cade is introduced. He appears on-stage, wearing his ring attire and his white cowboy hat. The crowd boos him as he makes his way down the ramp, and enters the ring. He takes off his hat and waits in the corner for his opponent... Eugene is introduced as the crowd begins to cheer him, slightly. He makes his way down the ramp, waving to the crowd...]

JR: "I'm sure Eugene had no idea that he'd be facing the two biggest athletes in this company, in one single night! He was able to pull off a victory earlier over Gene Snitsky, but Lance Cade is going to be a must tougher opponent."

Lance Cade pinned Eugene after a vertical facebuster in 2:29.
Rating: ** ¾

[The crowd begins to boo as Cade is announced the winner. Cade celebrates the victory as he leaves the ring. Eugene slowly gets to his feet, disheartened by his loss. He makes his way up the ramp as RAW goes to commercials.]

[RAW returns showing the backstage area where The Rock is shown banging on Jonathon Coachman's door. The "Coach" cracks open the door, causing The Rock to stop...]

Rock: "Jonathon Coachman, you've made a huge mistake tonight! You know The Rock should be moving on to fight for the WWE Title tonight! The Rock wants to know what the hell is going through your mind right now! Get your candy ass out here and explain yourself!"

[Coachman closes the door, shutting The Rock out. Visibly upset, The Rock punches the door before turning around. As he turns, Johnny Nitro attacks him with a vicious clothesline, knocking The Rock to the concrete! The crowd in the arena boos at these actions as Nitro stands over Rock's body...]

JN: "You want a shot at me, Rock? You better just take a number, because when tonight is set and done, I'll be the new WWE Champion! But, don't worry Rock, I'm not going to hide anywhere. I'll be waiting for you, whenever you get the nerve to come find me."

[Nitro walks off, as the camera shows The Rock, lying on the concrete. The camera goes back to the arena floor....]

JR: "I can't believe the actions taken by Johnny Nitro! King, I seriously believe that Jonathon Coachman and Johnny Nitro have something up their sleeve for The Rock... and I really don't think it can go well."

King: "You're just a pessimist, JR! The Rock knew what he was getting into, and he's gotten exactly that! Johnny Nitro is doing everything he has to do ensure that he becomes the WWE Champion!"

JR: "Well, I hope his mind's in the right place, because he's still got a long night ahead of him."

[Val Venis is introduced to the crowd once again. The women in the crowd scream, just as they did with their first look of Venis earlier in the evening. He makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring. He stands in the corner and waits for his opponent... Johnny Nitro's music one again begins to play. The crowd boos loudly as he appears on-stage with a microphone in-hand...]

JN: "Val... before you get too excited and worked up over this, allow me to inform everyone here in Miami of something that's about to take place. Once again, thanks to the ruling of one - Jonathon Coachman - this next match is going to be for the vacant WWE Championship! So, all those people in the back that don't have the opportunity to face me in this ring... I hope you all watch carefully as I show you what a true champion looks like!"

[Nitro drops the microphone to the ground and makes his way down the ramp, and into the ring. Once he enters, the referee rings the bell.]

[WWE Title Match]

Nitro takes the belt and wraps it around his waist before jumping onto the turnbuckle and posing for the crowd. A few camera flashes go off, but the majority of the crowd can't believe that he just won the title. Nitro gets off the turnbuckle and leaves the ring, walking up the ramp to the backstage area. RAW goes off the air.]

WWE Smackdown!
January 5, 2007
Amway Arena
Orlando, Florida

The show began with Johnny Nitro coming out to the ring where he proclaimed that he is the "future" of the WWE. Coming off his title victory on Raw, he issued a challenge to anyone in the locker room. As if on cue, The Rock made his way down to the ring to accept the challenge. The Rock said it was obvious that Nitro and Raw's GM Jonathon Coachman were trying their best to keep "the Great One" away from the WWE title. The Rock said that since he was screwed Monday night, he was owed a shot at Nitro tonight! This brought out Lance Cade, which was a huge surprise to the audience in Orlando! Cade said that he felt betrayed Monday night, as well, having won his first round match but, not stepping foot inside the ring again that evening. He said if anyone deserved a chance at Nitro, it was him, because he had more to prove than The Rock. This brought out WWE Owner Vince McMahon who came to clear things up for everyone. Vince announced that there would be a four man tournament to determine the new Intercontinental Champion, and that anyone could possibly be apart of it. Then, he addressed the situation at hand, signing Nitro to a non-title match against an opponent who would be named at bell time. He also said that the situation between The Rock and Lance Cade would be settled tonight, as the two would face each other to name a number one contender. The winner will get his title match in two weeks in Birmingham, Alabama.

[Intercontinental Title Tournament - Semi-Final]
Chavo Guerrero pinned Shawn Michaels with the Brain Buster in 10:36.
Rating: ** 1/2

[Intercontinental Title Tournament - Semi Final]
Jerry Lawler pinned Johnny Nitro with the Piledriver in 9:11.
Rating: ** 1/4
[The Rock intefered against Johnny Nitro.]

McMahon pulled out all the stops in the IC Title tournament, naming Raw color-man, Jerry Lawler as a participant, as well as surprising WWE Champion Johnny Nitro with a spot in the tournament. Vince claimed that since Nitro sees himself as the future of the WWE, he should be able to take home both major titles in one week. Nitro said that he was Vince's man and wouldn't let him down. However, the crafty veteran that Lawler is took full advantage of Nitro, who was obviously thinking about his main event match later in the evening. Lawler picked him the victory in a match that was cheered more based on who was in it than actual action.

[Intercontinental Title Tournament - Final]
Jerry Lawler pinned Chavo Guerrero after a backslide in 0:16.
Rating: *
(Jerry Lawler won the Intercontinental Title.)

In the final, Lawler continued to use the skills he's learned over his years in the business by reversing the opening move of the match into a backslide to pick up the victory AND the Intercontinental Title! The King celebrated his victory by strutting around the ring, rubbing the victory into Guerrero's face.

Funaki pinned William Regal with the Leaping Tornado DDT in 17:24.
Rating: **

[Number One Contenders Match - WWE Title]
The Rock pinned Lance Cade with the Rock Bottom in 11:17.
Rating: ** 3/4

The crowd in Orlando was fully behind the home-state "boy" as The Rock picked up the victory over Lance Cade. Throughout the match, Rocky was cautious to go outside as he thought Johnny Nitro would retaliate for earlier in the evening. However, Nitro never showed as he was preparing for his main event with an opponent that had yet to be named. The Rock got a clean win, and earned himself a shot at Nitro on 1/19.

[Non-Title Match]
Iceberg pinned Johnny Nitro with the Ground Zero 2.0 in 2:51.
Rating: *** 1/4
[Jeff G. Bailey inferfered against Johnny Nitro.]

Nitro came into this match no knowing what or who to expect as his opponent had been kept a secret all night long. The look on his face when the 450-pound Iceberg was introduced will forever go down as one of the most memorable. Nitro could keep a since of salvation knowing that the title was not on the line in this matchup. That would ultimately be a good thing as the "No Pain Train" treated Nitro like a ragdoll, using his 3x weight advantaged to humiliate the WWE Champion. After the match, it was reported that Vince McMahon was very interested in signing Iceberg. As to what happens there, will be seen in the future.

OVERALL RATING: ** 1/2

Great read. Is the circuit unbooked?
wicked_rexPosted on 01/29/07 at 15:26:36

Thanks a lot, guys. I've actually started writing a new WWE circuit. I plan on keeping up with the "new" one pretty regularly. Hopefully you can enjoy that one, too.  :D
