Bobby Eaton pinned Ricky Morton with the Alabama Jam in 0:04:59.
Rating: * 3/4

One half of The Midnight Express gets retribution over one half of The Rock 'N' Roll Express for last week's first round loss in the NWA World Tag Team Title Tournament. This match really could've gone either way, but the match turned in Bobby Eaton's favor when he countered a swinging neckbreaker attempt into a side suplex. From there, Bobby Eaton hit Ricky Morton with a superplex and finished the match off with the Alabama Jam for the three count.

Terry Funk defeated Thunderbolt Patterson when Thunderbolt Patterson passed out in the Spinning Toe Hold in 0:11:09.
Rating: * 3/4

Thunderbolt Patterson continues a pattern of losing since Ole Anderson turned his back on him weeks ago. Terry Funk caught Thunderbolt in the Spinning Toe Hold and passed out due to the pain and not submitting.

The Powers of Pain (The Barbarian and Warlord) defeated Billy Jack Haynes and Wahoo McDaniel when Barbarian pinned Wahoo after a piledriver in 0:05:44.
Rating: -* 3/4

Billy Jack Haynes and Wahoo McDaniel issued an open challenge to any tag team in the world to face them this week. They wanted to prove that they deserve to be in top contention for the NWA World Tag Team Titles. In a best case of "being careful what you wish for, you just might get it", the challenge was answered by The Powers of Pain, The Barbarian and Warlord! The Powers of Pain showcased that they will be a team to take mighty seriously here in the National Wrestling Alliance. Tonight, they defeated one heck of a good team in Billy Jack Haynes and Wahoo McDaniel.

Manny Fernandez defeated Ron Bass by disqualification in 0:06:56.
Rating: 1/2*

Ron Bass got himself disqualified for pushing referee Steven Gregory in the way in front of a charging Manny Fernandez. That didn't matter to Ron Bass, who continued to stomp away at Manny Fernandez. He was joined by his tag team partner Terry Funk and the two proceeded to beat Manny Fernandez down with a 2 to 1 advantage. This didn't last for long as a limping Thunderbolt Patterson came down to the ring holding a chair. However, as Thunderbolt went to swing the chair, Terry Funk hit him across his injured ankle with the branding iron! Terry Funk picked the chair up and slammed it against a charging Manny Fernandez, who had just overpowered Ron Bass. The two Texans stand in the ring tall, with Terry Funk holding the chair high in the air in a sign of victory as the crowd boos.

Dusty Rhodes pinned Tully Blanchard with the Bionic Elbowdrop in 0:02:00.
Rating: **

What an embarassing way for Tully Blanchard to lose to Dusty Rhodes. Tully Blanchard arrogantly tried to execute the Slingshot Suplex on Dusty Rhodes, but The American Dream countered the attempt into a suplex. From there, Dusty Rhodes quickly followed up with the Bionic Elbow for the three count!

After the match, a laughing Ric Flair pointed to Tully Blanchard and kept laughing. Ric Flair got on the house microphone and made fun of Tully Blanchard's loss and told him that he might not like Dusty, but at least he can last more than two minutes in the ring. Ric Flair told Tully Blanchard to watch his match carefully with Magnum T.A. later on to see how a real man and wrestler performs his craft. Tully looked furious in the ring, not only at his loss but for Ric Flair's insulting comments.

Nikita Koloff pinned George South with the Russian Sickle in 0:02:51.
Rating: *

Nikita Koloff rebounded quite nicely after last week's upset loss with his uncle, Ivan Koloff, against Billy Jack Haynes and Wahoo McDaniel in the NWA World Tag Team Title Tournament. Nikita Koloff dominated this match in the little amount of time that it lasted from bell to bell. Nikita Koloff effectively put the NWA on notice that The Russians are still a force to be reckoned with.

Ric Flair defeated Magnum T.A. when Magnum T.A. passed out in the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:17:49.
Rating: ** 1/4

Magnum T.A. took Ric Flair to the limit here, but it wasn't enough to overcome Ric Flair and his patented submission hold, the Figure Four Leglock. To Magnum T.A.'s credit, he did not submit to the hold, he passed out. This victory gives Ric Flair even more material to rub in Tully Blanchard's face in what has become a somewhat mini-feud between the two. I doubt Tully Blanchard will continue to sit back and allow Ric Flair to insult him week
after week like tonight after his loss to Dusty Rhodes.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole Anderson and Arn Anderson) defeated The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) when Anderson defeated Hawk by countout in 0:03:39.
Rating: 1/2*
(The Minnesota Wrecking Crew retained the NWA World Tag Team Titles.)

The Road Warriors received a return match tonight against the NWA World Tag Team Champions, The Minnesota Wrecking Crew a week after losing to them in the finals of a tournament to crown new champions. It looked as if The Road Warriors would become the new champions because they looked so dominant against The Minnesota Wrecking Crew throughout the match. However, Ole Anderson threw Hawk on the outside of the ring and distracted the referee while Arn Anderson entered the ring and started to brawl with Animal. On the outside of the ring, Hawk was greeted by the Powers of Pain, who had just made their debut earlier in the show. The Powers of Pain proceeded to beatdown on Hawk to the point that he was out cold after they hit a Double Chokeslam on him. They left the ring area and conveniently Ole Anderson stopped distracting the referee. The referee spotted Hawk on the outside of the ring and start a ten count that would not be answered by Hawk. The Minnesota Wrecking Crew defended their NWA World Tag Team Titles due to a countout. The Minnesota Wrecking Crew grabbed their championship belts and quickly left the ring as The Powers of Pain entered the ring and attacked Animal. They also hit a Double Chokeslam on Animal. As the show came to an close, The Powers of Pain, with their manager Gary Hart celebrated in the ring.
