Wasteland Championship Wrestling, November 23, 2006

Jaime Noble pinned Ken Doane after a flying legdrop in 0:09:18.
Rating: **

- this was a very back & forth contest for the first few minutes until Noble hit a dragon screw to take over.
- Noble worked over Doane's leg, not letting him off of the mat for very long.
- Doane battled back however and caught Noble with his head down, hitting a swinging neck breaker to turn the tide. Doane continued the attack, hitting a bodyslam and a clothesline from the second turnbuckle.
- It was too little too late, Noble countered a backdrop suplex with one of his own, following up with a legdrop from the second turnbuckle and then a legdrop from the top turnbuckle to finish.

The Outlanders (Dustin Rhodes & Trevor Murdoch) defeated Doug Basham and Bobby Roode when
Dustin pinned Roode with the Bulldog in 0:13:40.
Rating: ** ¾

- Dustin & Trevor started quickly, taking the fight to Basham and Roode, ruling the ring and sending Doug and Bobby fleeing.
- Things settled down and both teams returned to the ring, and the match started properly; both teams displayed better than expected cohesion.
- Basham and Roode always seemed to have a counter (legal or otherwise) for whatever Murdoch or Rhodes attempted.
- Neither team really had an extended period of offense until Dustin strung together a pair of armdrags, a vertical suplex and a spinebuster leading up to his Bulldog for the win.

RO-Z pinned Shawn Hernandez with the Samoan Drop in 0:07:13.
Rating: ** 1/4

- RO-Z dominated almost from bell to bell, Hernandez did manage to land a vicious lariat to turn the match in his favor, he followed up with a Big Boot and a Power Bomb!
- RO-Z recovered from the Power Bomb and finished the match shortly afterwards following a ring shaking Samoan Drop.

William Regal and Fit Finlay defeated Lance Cade and Chris Harris when Finlay
pinned Harris with the Celtic Cross in 0:13:22.
Rating: ** 1/4

- Regal & Harris had a tremendous series to start the match until Harris tagged in Cade, who promptly went to town on Regal.
- Finlay managed to tag in and he a Finlay used every dirty trick in the book and numerous illegal double teams to hold Cade in check.
- Harris got the hot tag, but even that didn't slow down Finlay & Regal for long.
- Great teamwork from Finlay & Regal softened Harris up allowing Finlay to hit the Celtic Cross for the victory.

Jay Lethal pinned Yoshihiro Tajiri with the Diving Dynamite in 0:18:20.
Rating: **** ½

- WOW - these two really tore the house down.

[-The Main Event-]: No-Countout-No-DQ-Four Corners Match:
Matt Bloom defeated Dave Batista, Dallas Page and Abyss:
x DDP beat Abyss via the Diamond Cutter in 0:17:34
x Batista beat DDP via the Sit Out Power Bomb in 0:25:34
x Bloom beat Batista via the Derailer in 0:32:58
Rating: *** 1/4

- Even though it was a 4 - corners match, it seemed like two different matches - Abyss vs. DDP and Batista vs. Bloom
- During the first half of the match, either DDP or Abyss was in the match the entire time, frequently against each other.
- After Abyss was eliminated, Bloom & Batista worked effectively as a team to dominate and eliminate DDP. After the elimination, Bloom's second, Tyson Tomko attacked DDP. Tomko & Page brawled to the back with Tomko dominating until DDP hit a Diamond Cutter out of nowhere and left him laying.
- Bloom scored the win after Tomko attempted to attack Batista, which Batista easily repelled and countered with a Spinebuster Slam, Bloom however used this to attack Batista from behind and then put him away with the Derailer.

Card rating: ** 1/2

.....this one is going to be a little barebones until I get this thing more established concerning roles and rivalries etc......
.....also - I'm going to shoot for posting my cards on Thursdays, however - I am moving this week - so that's why i did this one early - and perhaps the next one will be late - but probably not :).....

Any fed that puts Lethal over the buzzsaw is awesome in my eyes.
CarlzillaPosted on 11/22/06 at 05:56:28

I enjoyed this. I'm a much bigger Tajiri fan than I am a Jay Lethal fan, but with a match that good neither of them probably lost any respect in the eyes of the fans.

I can't tell if you're going for a televised fed or not...but I'm sure it'll eventually be evident.

Booked or unbooked?
phudjiePosted on 11/22/06 at 06:56:13

.....I'll eventually fill it out as a tv program - but I wanted to start off right away - after we fill out the rosters and get eveyrbody on the same page I'll try to build a television format.....
.....As far as the matches go - I booked 3 out of 6 matches in this episode, and the 3 out of 6 matches for next weeks episode.....
