Interview:
Pro Wrestling Riot promoter Carlzilla welcomes everyone to the inaugural event. He
announces that all matches tonight are tag team matches, and since the roster was
full of great tag teams that this should be a very strong show. He then announces
that by the end of the night, there will be PW-Riot Tag Team champions. "Tag team wrestling is a lost art..."

Interview:
Carlzilla once again makes his way out to the ring. He encourages everyone to support
the wrestlers by picking up some merchandise during this intermission. After the
intermission he says the 5 teams who won their matches tonight would face each other
in a pinfall or submission only tag team battle royal to determine the first PW-Riot
Tag Team Champions.

10-Man Tag Team Battle Royal:
Ricky Reyes and Rocky Romero won a 5-team Battle Royal:
x Aries defeated Delirious (partner: Hallowicked) after the 450 Splash
in 0:03:50
x S. Lost defeated Icarus (partner: Gran Akuma) after the Vertebreaker
in 0:10:08
x Aries defeated S. Lost (partner: Chris Bosh) after a top-rope DDT in
0:12:01
x R. Romero defeated Aries (partner: Roderick Strong) after the
Romero Special #2 in 0:21:01

(The Havana Pitbulls won the PW-Riot Tag Team Titles.)

Interview:
PW-Riot promoter Carlzilla brings out the PW-Riot Tag Team Titles and presents them to
Reyes and Romero. He then explains the 3 point system, where a team needs three consecutive
victories to challenge for the titles. There is no penalty for the champions not defending against
a team who challenges them if they have less than 3 points, however they may not deny a team
with 3 points a title shot.

Match observations:
Well it's our inaugural event here in PW-Riot. Held at the Heights Community Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
This maybe the first time Albuquerque has seen wrestling like this. It was announced right off the bat that all the
action tonight would be tag team action, and it would end with the crowning of the first PW-Riot Tag Team Champs.

Our first match saw Scott Lost and Chris Bosh defeat Eddie Kingston and Ruckus. Lost and Bosh just have the edge
as far as tag team wrestling is concerned. I'd be surprised if they Arrogance didn't rack up 3 victories rather quickly
and challenge for the titles.

Team F.I.S.T. gave more than M-Dogg 20 and Quackenbush where able to handle. Akuma and Icarus are
undoubtedly some of the best tag team wrestlers in the US right now, and it showed tonight with their excellent
double teamwork. The fans seem to love to hate them though...

Next up was Austin Aries and Roderick Strong battling Necro Butcher and Colt Cabana. The team of Cabana and
Butcher didn't seem to gel very well and it allowed another of the worlds top tag teams to slip their way into the finals.

Hallowicked and Delirious stepped into the ring against El Generico and Jigsaw in the next bout. Both teams worked
very well together, but in the end it was the unorthodox tactics of Delirious that put his team into the finals. It's
just hard to prepare for a match against a mad-man.

Our final match before intermission say Ricky Reyes and Rocky Romero face off against the unanimous favorites
KENTA and Low-Ki. This match was stiff as hell, with all 4 men taking a beating. In what many would call a huge
upset, Reyes and Romero where able to defeat KENTA and Low-Ki to move onto the final round. This was without
question, the match of the night.

After intermission and some short words from Carlzilla explaining the final match, we where treated to a great
tag team battle royal. This was really about two teams, Aries and Strong, and The Havana Pitbulls. The other
teams managed to last for about half the match, leaving the four finalists to battle it out for the second half.
In the end, the team that scored the win over the odds on favorites took home the gold. Congratulations to
Reyes and Romero on their win.

After the final match the titles where presented to the champions, and Carlzilla explained the rules for defending
and challenging.

That's all for us, we hope to see you at the next event.

.....nice card, no BS and straight to the action - I like the emphasis on tag teams - I plan on having alot of tag teams in my league as well.....
CarlzillaPosted on 11/21/06 at 05:48:21

I'm going for the small indy feel. No TV angles or anything. The first two cards are going to be pretty light on the story line as they are crowning my tag team and secondary singles champions.
phudjiePosted on 11/21/06 at 06:13:58

.....that's cool.....

Chikara 3-point rule system, huh? Interesting.. strange pairing with Necro and Colt, though... and definetely an upset with the Pitbulls both defeating Low Ki and KENTA and going all the way.

Booked or unbooked?

And yay to more indy-circuits.
CarlzillaPosted on 11/21/06 at 13:07:05

I like the CHIKARA system, so I ripped it off...I'm shameless :-P

Pretty much every circuit I do is a combination of booked and unbooked stuff. I like the randomness of unbooked circuits, but I like to have long title reigns and cohesive stories when I do have them.

Necro and Colt just didn't have partners...almost my entire roster is tag teams...and they seemed to fit together better than pairing them with the other two guys who didn't have an obvious partner (Quackenbush and M-Dogg 20).

This entire thing was unbooked, so I was super suprised to see Reyes and Romero pull it out. I really like Ricky Reyes though...so I'm not unhappy with the results.
