DCW - Crazy circuit idea

rey619Posted on 11/14/06 at 21:54:07

Well, booking a WWE-style fed didn't work out for me, so I guess I'll be going back to booking the indies. My first idea was to have a female circuit, but since nobdoy wants to read about that, I am trying something kinda crazy. Welcome to... Dodge City Wrestling!

This independent promotion is kayfabe within kayfabe. It's meant to be set in the western genre, with all of the wrestlers having western-related gimmicks. The shows all take place outdoors, in realistic western settings. Even if the show (again, Kayfabe) takes place in Dodge City, it really takes place in a studio in LA. Even the crowd gets an outfit that takes them back to another time.

Here's the teaser for the first double-shot, entitled "A Wild Western Extravaganza"

.....

Wrestling show, this Friday and Saturday in the central square of Dodge City! Mayor Rick Flehr and co-promotor, the rich businessman Ted DiBiase will be hosting a great show this weekend, one you will not miss! As you all know, law enforcers captured the dangerous Mexican desperado Nelson Cruz a few days ago, and in the great tradition of Dodge City, he will have his chance for freedom in the main event, where he will take on US Marshall Austin Starr, the man who apprehended Cruz on the border to Texas! This does not sit well with Dodge City Sheriff Davey Richards, who feels he is the only one capable of putting Cruz behind bars.

Co-promoter DiBiase's client, the Confederacy soldier BJ Whitmer will also be in action, taking on the piano player at the Ambrosia Inn, Tony Tornado! DiBiase has clearly stated in the past that negroes does not belong in the wrestling industry, and is out to make a point here.

In other grudge-matches, stagecoach driver "Shotgun" Arik Cannon will take on the perennial high-stakes gambler "Classic" Scott Colton over a dispute at the poker table, brothel owner Lexie Fyfe pits two of her girls, Sumie Sakai and Daizee Haze at each other throats, and the mysterious monks of the Red Rose Monastery takes on the no-good Webb Brothers in our second Jailtime Match! Matches for Saturday is still not in the books, and will be decided after Friday's event! Don't miss it!"

Talent signed for A Wild Western Extravaganza (editor's note, the name in the parantheses are the wrestler portraying the gimmick):

Jerelle Clark - DiBiase's negroe slave
Brother Senshi & Brother Dave from the Red Rose Monastery, led by the beautiful Sister Alyson (Brother Dave is David Young)
Sheriff Davey Richards
US Marshall Austin Starr
The Webb Brothers, Nate & Josh (Josh Abercrombie)
The Black & The Brave, two local youngsters (Tyler Black & Marek Brave)
"Shotgun" Arik Cannon
"the Native American" Tatanka and his beautiful daughter, Alere Little Feather
The Kings of Wrestling, a trio of European royalty (Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli and Conrad Kennedy III)
Daizee Haze, Sumie Sakai and Lexie Fyfe (whores at the Lonely Rancher Brothel)
"Classic" Scott Colton - gambler (Colt Cabana)
BJ Whitmer - confederacy soldier
Xavier - Bouncer at the Ambrosia Inn
Tony Tornado - Piano player at the Ambrosia Inn
Nelson Cruz - dangerous Mexican desperado (Homicide)
The Butcher - eh... he's a butcher (Necro Butcher)
Mike Quackenbush - traveller and author
.......

Just wanted to say in advance that any racial or bigot storylines and comments (e.g. negroe) does not in any way reflect my opinions on the matter, and is simply something that were issues back in the old days, and that is natural to play with in such a setting.

Hopefully, this can be fun. I'm also experimenting with a new writing style, so please let me know what you think of that. First card should be up in a day or so.

Sounds over the top, but interesting non-the-less.

Sounds interesting... but you need a"Doc" character.

Political correctness be damned but this should be an entertaining read considering everything else you've booked.

Sounds interesting... but you need a"Doc" character.
He needs a Hoss as well. Insert basically every tall wrestler from the late 90's WWE with no charisma or wrestling ability in this possible role.
