GAHHHH!

My old HD died about a week or so ago, and me being one of those people who kept saying it'll never happen to me, never backed it up. Luckly it's not my mp3 drive...it did however have the not often updated diary of my fictional wrestling career and my Gran Lucha circuit on it. So if anyone was wondering why I haven't updated that is why.

I do have another circuit kinda in the works...we'll see if I post it though.

thumb drives are our friends.  I have learned from the rest of y'all (and from the BCW debacle on my old laptop) to back up all my tnm stuff about once a month just in case something bad happens.  And with the price of removeable thumb drives, it's insane NOT to have one just for TNM.

I actually do have one...which, ironicly, I back up my TNM stuff on. Unfortunatly, I failed to back up those feds before the drive died.

so then at least you have the "archives" available.  That's better than most when they lose an entire circuit.

question on this. If I make a backup of my fed and just save the backup file to a drive. Then if my HD dies and I lose all my stuff. If I download a new TNM and then just put the backup file in the program will it bring back my fed? I want to run my TNM off a flash drive, but with songs and media it's like a huge file.

I wouldn't save the songs/media/videos when doing a thumb backup.  But I would save the entire TNM program, otherwise a backup file alone, as far as I can remember, is worthless.

Basically you should backup all that you have space for but don't backup the "non-essentials" that don't matter to TNM if you have them or not.
