Kurt Angle is backstage with Melissa Martinez.
MM: Kurt, tonight, you will go one on one with Samoa Joe for the 3CW Title. And I have to admit, after your win last week, you seem very confident going into the main event.
KA: Well, Melissa, I'm always confident when I step into the ring. I am because no one in the world wrestles better than I do. And that's just what tonight is about: wrestling. It's about finding out just who the better man is. Now, we all know that Samoa Joe is one tough S.O.B. But, no one is tougher than I am. I won an Olympic Gold Medal with a broken freakin' neck for cryin' out loud. I've done more in my short professional career than Samoa Joe has done in his whole life. I've beaten the best in the world. The Rock, Kane, Big Show, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, & even the immortal Hulk Hogan have all tapped out in my ankle lock at one time or another. So I have no doubt in my mind that I can beat Samoa Joe,and take his 3CW Heavyweight Title. Oh it's true, it's damn true.

MM: Steven Richards, 2 weeks ago Lance Storm turned his back on you & the fans, & last week he blamed both of you for holding him back here in 3CW.
SR: What Lance Storm's problem is, is that he's got a bad case of "loser's lip". He'll blame everyone but himself for all his shortcomings. You see Lance, just because say you've turned your back on the fans, isn't going to make you anymore successful. Let's face it. You're boring & you suck. No amount of cheers or boos will ever change that. And tonight, after you taste a Stevie Kick & you're counting those lights from your back on the mat, you'll know you should have ever crossed "Big Stevie Cool".

A video is shown of Jake Roberts standing outside on a dark, deserted street full of condemed buildings. Edge & Lita approach him cautiously. The door where they stand says "Hell" in blood red letters.
E: Hey Jake, what's going on? Why are we here?
JR: Because this is my time & you asked me for help. I didn't come to you, you came to me.You see, to get back to top of this business, sometimes you ahve to go back to the beginning. To your roots, if you will. Now I know that you're from Toronto & all your history, but, I also know that when you first made it big you were something of a gothic mystery. And that, my man, is why we are here. You see, amongst the tattered ruins of this neighborhood, lies a small gathering place.A place where the people that frequent it aren't too keen on coming out in the light. Now I know you probably feel uneasy, maybe even alittle sick right now because this is the kind of place where it started for you. But take it easy now, & relax. Trust me. YOu told me that you wanted to get back to the top. You asked me. Now I'm showing you. Yeah this is the same kind of place where you started. Where you had to fight for your very life. That was the mistake, you fought it. You got to learn how to accept it. The dark side, the "Snake" side if you will. So my man, trust me, look at me when I tell you, I'm not gonna fight you for this. If you don't want it bad enough, I've got better things to do. Now, if you wanna learn, you'll go inside & accept it. Take that walk, you've got to walk it alone. Without Lita & without me. I can show you the path, but, I can't walk along & hold your hand. So if you're ready, as ugly as it seems, as bad as it may smell, open up your soul and let it in. Now go inside, go in, breathe through it. Breathe. You gotta go in, my man. Go for what you want. But if you want to learn about the darkness, you've got to remember where you came from. This is just the first piece of the puzzle. (Edge starts to turn to walk away) Come on. Where you goin' man? You think you can put that puzzle together by yourself, without doin' this? I know, I've been there. I've walked that line.If you want to get to Heaven you gotta go through Hell. And that's just where we are. Trust me, my friend. Trust me, and let me show you.
Edge enters the door & it slams hard behind him. As Jake & Lita stand outside all thatis heard from within is the sound of fighting & screaming. This continues while Jake looks at Lita.
JR: (smiling) It's the first piece of the puzzle. Just the first piece. And now you have to live with it. (Jake is actually holding the door shut as someone on the other side is trying to force it open.) Trust me. Quit fighting it. Let it in. Let the coolness creep upon you. Feel it. (The banging on the door stops as Lita looks on in horror) Maybe it's been long enough. (laughs) No, not yet. I don't think so. Not quite yet. I mean if you're gonna go for it, man, go all the way. Take it to the limit righ. (Silence comes from behind the door now) You don't want a piece of the pie, right? You want the whole damn thing. I think the fear is finally gone now. (Jake starts to open the door slowly) Let's see how you're feelin' now. (the camera shows Jake's face from the opposite angle) Oh! That's it right there. That's the look you need to have. It's in your eyes Edge. (the camera slowly pans around to show Edge covered in blood with a evil grin on his face)
Jake hands Lita another piece of paper.
JR: Have him cleaned up & then meet me here next week for puzzle piece number 2. (Jake laughs & walks off as the camera focuses on Edge's bloody face to a fade out.)

Melissa Martinez is with the 3CW Heavyweight Champion: Samoa Joe.
MM: Samoa Joe, up next you have what has to be the toughest title defense of your career, when you take on "The Extreme Wrestling Machine" Kurt Angle.
SJ: I heard what Kurt said earlier. The list of those that have fallen to his ankle lock is impressive. BUt, the list of those that fall before me grows longer everyday. While I may not have taken on the stars the magnitude of The Rock or Hulk Hogan, the men I've taken out have a hunger that those men haven't had in years. And that hunger is what makes those matches just as tough as anything that Kurt Angle can bring. I'm not saying that this match will be easy. But if Kurt thinks that winning Olympic gold with a broken neck was tough, just wait til he gets into the ring with Samoa Joe.

3CW Newsline:

With the 3CW Heavyweight Title almost within Kurt Angle's grasp, "Maverick" Matt Bentley made sure that no one other than him should have a chance to capture the precious gold strap. Neither Angle, nor Samoa Joe were happy with the outcome & next week they will put their differences aside as they team up to face Bentley and any man that is willing to team up with the young upstart.

CM Punk came out on top in a non-title match with Rey Mysterio, only to interject himself in the celebration of battle royal winner: The Hurricane. Punk, obviously unhappy that the self-proclaimed superhero has earned another shot at his 3CW TV Title, did the only thing he could to try & keep it from happening. He attacked the exhausted Hurricane with the title belt & then locked him in the Annaconda Vice until he passed out. When these 2 meet up in the ring again you can be sure that it woin't be a catch as catch can wrestling match... it'll be an all out war! Next week, Punk says he will have a special "hitman" make an appearance to face The Hurricane. Who would take the blood money to take out 3CW"s resident hero?

Since neither Val Venis nor Steven Richards fared well against the rspective opponents: Bobby Roode & Lance Storm, next week they will once again team up to take on the tough Canadian duo.

Ken Kennedy & Brent Albright didn't get anything settled in their tag match tonight. So next week, they will go at it in a No DQ, No Countout Match. Will Veronica Caine's top single's star be able to take down "The Shooter"?

Speaking of Ms. Caine, she now has a new addition to The Enterprise in the form of Lance Cade. Keeping the promise she made him before he teamed with Mr. Kennedy, Cade is now a full fledged member of Caine's elite team. Will her guidance help get him back on track & back to a title? Only time will tell.

Edge got his first taste of Jake Roberts' plan to get him back to Rated R status. By taking him to a "Vampire Club", Jake forced Edge to go back where he came from, so to speak. Edge emerged bloody, and with a sadistic smile on his face, much like the Edge of old. Next week, Jake will reveal to Edge & the world the second step of his master plan. What will it be? Will Edge be able to survive this test? Will the rest of 3CW survive if he does?

Next week:

Kurt Angle teams with Samoa Joe to take on Matt Bentley & a partner of his choice

Rey Mysterio gets a non title rematch with CM Punk

The Hurricane faces CM Punk's "hitman"

Steven Richards & Val Venis vs Lance Storm & Bobby Roode

No DQ, No Countout:
Brent Albright vs Ken Kennedy

For the 3CW Tag Team Title:
3CW Tag Team Champions: Frankie Kazarian & Maven put the gold on the line against new #1 contenders: AJ Styles & Air Paris: Air Raid

Due to his actions backstage, Jeff Jarrett has been released by 3CW. The 6 time NWA World Champion will no longer be appearing in 3CW effective immediately.
