ECCW Elite TV live form The ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pa ***SOLD-OUT***

Its 15 minutes to bell time and the ECW Arena is already rocking. Generic entrance music plays as Jim Ross walks down the ramp way to deafening cheers. Good Old JR grabs the mic and welcomes everyone to a new age of wrestling. There is a chance no one has ever seen a wrestling crowd this intense. JR Then finally announces the card for tonight, which includes 5 matches from the TV Title tournament and three form the Tag Team Titles tournament. Finally after weeks of anticipation he calls for the opening bell... HERE WE GO!

(TV Title Tournament opening round match)
Fit Finaly vs. Jon Dahmer

Well many people thought Raven and Sandman were going to kick off the show tonight, but JR obviously has faith in Dahmer and Finaly giving them the honor of the first match in ECCW history. Jon Dahmer is no slouch when it comes to wrestling especially with his brawling skills, but finaly is just as tough and proved it here tonight nonetheless Dahmer brought the fight to the Dublin native with several forms of High Impact moves and weaponry which included a power bomb off the apron on to the exposed concrete floor and a steel chair, but Finaly fought back and eventually subdued the CZW vet with his version of the tombstone piledriver. Finaly advances to the quarter finals after this wonderful opening round match to wrestle either Kensuke Sasaki or Brock Lesner.

Fit Finlay pinned Jon Dahmer with the Tombstone Piledriver in 0:12:22. Rating: *** 1/4

We see JR sitting in his office, when suddenly he gets a visit from Armando Alejandro Estrada and his lumbering Samoan Protégé, Umaga. Estarda then tries to coax JR in to just giving Umaga both the World and TV Titles claiming that by not doing so he is just delaying the inevitable. Estarda snaps at JR and personally promises Umaga wins both titles within 2 months. Feeling generous JR tells Estarda if Umaga wins the TV Title Tournament not only will he hold that gold but he will be entered at number 30 in ECCW Rockin Rumble, but only if he agrees that losing the Tournament will cement him a number 1 seed in latter rumble match. Estarda happily agrees to the condition, and then wishes JR good luck with the rest of the show for him and Umagas match is up next. I'll tell you one thing Estarda must have a lot of faith in Umaga.

(TV Title Tournament opening round match)
Umaga vs. Tommy Rogers

Tommy Rogers is a skilled vet of this fine sport and I would love to say this match wasn't decided before the bell rang, but Tommy charged Umaga before the bell for some reason and was caught with a devastating flapjack into a Samoan Drop. After that it was automatic. Umaga picked the 20 plus year vet apart in under two minutes, finishing him off with the Samoan Spike.

If Umaga can keep this up I don't know who can stop him.

Umaga pinned Tommy Rogers with the Samoan Spike in 0:01:48. Rating: **

(Tag Team Title Tournament quarter final match up)
Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney vs. A Mystery Team

Well, im sure Balls and Axl were expecting something a bit more challenging to them before the bell rang, especially from a team that demanded their indents kept secret until their first match, but when music right out of a Saturday night WCW show hit the crowd let out what seemed to be a slight giggle as DISORDERLY CONDUCT made their way to the ring. As one would expect Axl and Balls took turns roughing up the semi well known losers finishing them off with duel chair shots and each of their finishers in unison. An easy win for Balls and Axl

Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney defeated Disorderly Conduct (Tough Tom and Mean Mike) when A. Rotten pinned Mean Mike with the Severe Skull Trauma in 0:05:24. Rating: *

Snitsky and Funaki are shown backstage pretty much just frolicking like idiots. They talk of dreams of tag team gold and how they're pretty much a lock to win.

In another area of the arena we see Booker T walking with Queen Sharmell. They both are scared shitless when no other then Mikey Whipwreck pops out of the rest room. He runs over to Booker talking pretty much gibberish about how he admires Booker and would love to be at his services. Not knowing how to react to the very mentally unstable Whipwreck he tells him if for doing some minor tasks he can become Bookers "court jester" Mikey jumps on the offer by spitting into his hands and attempting to shine Bookers crown. Booker shudder as the three walk away Mikey bugging The King along the way. It brings the question of what other minor tasks Booker has for his Court Jester.

(Tag Team Title Tournament quarter final match up)
La Parka and Lizmark Jr. vs. Funaki and Snitsky

Funaki and Snitsky are far from untalented in the ring and as a surprise to many they really do make an excellent tag duo, but La Parka and Lizmark Jr. are just as good and proved it tonight. Funaki got isolated early on, being on the receiving end of many high flying moves by both La Parka and Lizmark but he was able to make the hot tag to Snitsky and the big man caught fire, giving power bombs to the house even Funaki was tossed over the top rope in Snitskys seemingly uncontrollable rage. That was the mistake the pretty much signaled the end of the match like a bull seeing red Snitsky charged Lizmark only to get caught with a kick directly to the groin followed by a beautiful Springboard Diamond Dust by La Parka helping the luchas get the pin and advance to round 2 of the Tag Title Tournament.

La Parka and Lizmark Jr. defeated Funaki and Snitsky when La Parka pinned Snitsky after a Springboard Diamond Dust in 0:10:18. Rating: **

Goldberg is the back getting completely pumped for his upcoming first round match against Gregory Helms he says "He will rise to the top of ECCW ladder and not let anyone step in his way." Just in the middle of his sentence King Booker appears with Sharmell and his newly acquired lackeys Mikey Whipwreck and Vader. He assures Goldberg that only he and all his followers can rise to the top of ECCW and offers him a spot in his court, but being as independent as he is Goldberg declines only to met with a slap Goldberg just channels his anger for his match and storms away, meanwhile Booker yells to him "You'll pay for this Goldberg!"

(TV Title Tournament opening round match)
Goldberg vs. Gregory Helms

Goldberg was fired up before the match even started due to Bookers earlier actions and boy did it show. Helms seemed powerless getting hit with massive power moves for a good 95 percent of the match finally Goldberg det up and charged Helms with the spear but Helms threw the ref in front him. That's when Vader ran out of the crowd the two Goldberg stared the beast down but Vader wasn't here to fight only to distract him long enough for Helms to come completely and hit The Man with a victory roll allowing him to advance up a round in the tournament.

As soon as the bell rang the rest of The Court rushed the ring and began putting the boots to Goldberg but a savior arrived... Samoa Joe hit the ring, steel chair in hand he cleared house. After the dust settled the two shared a handshake. This could be a start of a monstrous friendship.

Gregory Helms pinned Goldberg after a Victory Roll in 0:07:24. Rating: **

(TV Title Tournament opening round match)
Samoa Joe vs. Chris Hero

Jim Ross knew Samoa Joe was in high danger of interference from Booker and company so before the match started he stated if any one of them came twenty feet from ringside Booker would lose his spot in the tournament.

Did I ever tell you Jim Ross is a great man because this match was nearly perfect? If the saying they left it all in the ring to tonight was ever suitable for a match it was in this one. Hero and Joe have wrestled each other before and it showed they seemed constantly a step ahead of one another in this truly classic match but when Hero went for the Heroes Welcome off the top Joe somehow found a way to reverse the beautiful move into one of his own, a top rope Michinoku Driver that devastated Hero and helped him pick up the win.

Samoa Joe pinned Chris Hero after a top-rope Michinoku Driver in 0:11:22. Rating: **** 1/4

(Tag Team Title Tournament quarter final match up)
The Highlanders vs. Atsushi Onita and Mitsuharu Misawa

Misawa and Onita are great wrestlers form the Far East both with a wonderful resume but its going to be hard for them to adjust from Puro and death matches to more Americanized wrestling. The Highlanders are nut jobs that fit in perfectly with this style and granted they both got kicked around by the oriental vets they eventually used their antics to their advantage by simply confusing the Onita long enough to hit him with a double team snake eyes and advancing to the next round.

Misawa looked disgusted by this match and his "translator" Joel Gertner stated that he blamed America for the horrible match and the fans show of blatant disrespect sickened the self proclaimed greatest wrestler on earth, with that Gertner, Misawa, and Onita left to the their well deserved boos and jeers.

The Highlanders (Robbie McAlister and Rory McAlister) defeated Atsushi Onita and Mitsuharu Misawa when Rory pinned Onita with the Hotscot Slingshot in 0:11:14. Rating: ** ¾
JR is seen in the back talking to Goldberg assuring him that he will get his shot at Booker and his court starting next week when Goldberg takes on Vader.

The camera also catches Mikey Whipwreck leaving Samoa Joes locker room when the camera peaks inside it sees a knocked out Samoa Joe.

MAIN EVENT
(TV Title Tournament opening round match)
Brock Lesnar vs. Kensuke Sasaki

For are main event this evening we have new of the leagues sure to be top stars Brock Lesnar and Kensuke Sasaki locked up in this first round rumble and rumble they did.

Brock started strong tossing around Sasaki until he was met with a wicked savate kick to the throat that's when Sasaki got his first chance to strike trying to dissect the monster limb by limb. He locked Lesnar in several holds including the Power Special and The Sharpshooter, but Brock fought on breaking out of both to nail Sasaki with his own offensive flurry which included his Powerbomb Combo and an F-5 that only got a two. That's when Sasaki sort of changed his techniques low blowing Brock stunning the crowd Sasaki has always shown honor in the ring this had Philadelphia confused. Sasaki then began hitting stronger moves for the rest of the match he hit Brock with a killer Dragon Suplex but only got a 2 count not knowing how to keep the big man down he charged in for a Lariat only to be caught with a desperation F-5 from Brock which led to a great finish to a great main event.

Brock Lesnar pinned Kensuke Sasaki with the F-5 in 0:18:21. Rating: ****

Lesnar Extended his hand to Sasaki after the match and as expected the honorable Sasaki excepted his offer, but then in an unheard of incident Sasaki backstabbed Brock hitting him with a echoing kick to the midsection followed by a Northern Lights Bomb, but that wasn't enough he locked in the Power Special and refused to break the hold until Jushin Liger hit the ring trying to talk to Kensuke. Sasaki eventually broke the hold only for Liger himself hit a Moonsault onto a fallen Brock Lesnar then like clockwork the rest of the Japanese roster aside form Funaki emerged to pound Lesnar. Joel Gertner grabbed the mic and began going on a tear of how this is what his group of Japanese hitmen will do to anyone on the ECCW roster... but as things looked there worst Enter Sandman hit the PA system as Raven and Sandman hit the ring Singapore canes in hand they ran off Foreigners grabbed the mic and said that Philly was there home and no one was going to talk to them or their fans like that, with that the camera fades to black ending a wonderful first show.

Card rating: ***
