SMWA: Monday Night Massacre 01/02/06

Overcompensators Anonymous (The California Kid and Wally B.) defeated
The Philadelphia X-Treme Machine (Slash Battle and Crash Burnz) when Wally
pinned S. Battle after the Overcompensator Decapitator in 0:10:34.
Rating: ***

The clueless high-flying west-coast wiggers bested the hardcore warriors from philly in what turned out to be an even contest. Wally B got the hot tag and cleared house, knocking Crash Burnz outside and worked with the California Kid to hit their Tag Finisher.
(Crash Burnz -2, Slash Battle -2, The California Kid +2, Wally B. +2)

Clone pinned Teknos with the Copycat Move in 0:08:33.
Rating: ** 3/4

Clone showed his aggressive side for most of the match. Going above and beyond the need for brutality by repeatedly hitting Teknos with a chair after the ref was bumped, then powerbombing Teknos onto that chair. Clone then woke up the ref and hit the Teknospinner (albeit badly) for the win.
(Teknos -2, Clone +2)

Rick Clark pinned The Great Oni with the Sky-Driver in 0:12:26.
Rating: ***

"Tricky" Rick Clark went for about 10 consecutive pinfall attempts in the opening minute. Oni calmly kicked out everytime and eventually took over with a slow methodical offense. Clark stayed in the match though and hit the Sky-Driver out of nowhere for a quick pin with a handful of thights. Clark then ran off celebrating, while Oni stayed in the ring and stared down the departing Clark with an icy stare.
(Rick Clark +2, The Great Oni -2)

Fujin defeated West Bronco via pinfall in 0:08:28.
Rating: *** 3/4
(Fujin won the SMWA North American Title.)

Izanami (Baki Mono's manager) announced that Baki Mono would be formally taking over the SMWA by winning every title! It would start tonight with Fujin bringing home the North American Title! West Bronco was in control most of the match, but after one too many of Fujin's devasting kicks he rolled outside to regroup. Izanami snuck up on him touched his forehead and muttered a command and West Bronco collapsed to the ground. Fujin rolled him in and got the pin. Baki Mono are up to their dark arts again!
(Fujin +4, West Bronco -4)

The Flying Scotsman defeated Paul Milo when Paul Milo passed out in
a choke sleeper in 0:08:04.
Rating: *** 1/4

The Flying Scotsman surprised everyone by not going with his usual brawling style and instead he mat wrestled Paul Milo and actual got the better of most of the exchanges. When Paul Milo went for a fisherman's suplex, Scotsman reversed it into a choke sleeper and Milo didn't stand a chance.
(The Flying Scotsman +1, Paul Milo -1)

Rokuru and Spoon Man defeated Simply the Best (Jerry Kent and Ron Grayson) when
Rokuru made R. Grayson submit to an abdominal stretch in 0:16:33.
Rating: **** 1/4

Rokuru & Spoon Man just pulled off a huge upset by defeating 2 members of Simply the Best. But they also just made themselves huge enemies. Grayson had missed an Asai moonsault on Rokuru outside the ring and ended landing rib-first on the guardrail. Rokuru slapped on an abdominal stretch to get the win, but this was more than a fluke victory. Kent & Grayson were seriously out-wrestled. What will StB's response to this be?
(Spoon Man +2, Rokuru +3, Grayson -3, Jerry Kent -2)

The Dark Brand defeated Angus Wallace by countout in 0:09:19.
Rating: *** 3/4

Dark Brand took control about halfway through this match and started dropping Angus with repeated tiger drivers, DVDs, and vicious European uppercuts. Angus decides to quit while he's behind and leaves the ring for the countout loss, leaving Dark Brand looking quite annoyed.
(The Dark Brand +1, Angus Wallace -1)

Main Event:
Alexander "The Grater" pinned Skarzz with the Doomsday Tornado in 0:05:55.
Rating: ***
(Alexander "The Grater" won the SMWA World Heavyweight Title.)
[Saul Masters interfered against Alexander "The Grater".]

Grater does something that very few superstars in SMWA can do and that is go toe-to-toe with the monster Skarzz. Skarzz made a big mistake when he introduced a table into the match, he tried to put Grater through it, but Grater blocked the chokeslam! Instead Grater sent Skarzz through the table with an inverted powerbomb! He followed it up with the Doomsday Tornado! And that's it! New World Champ! Scorpion and the rest of Major Force aren't going to be happy.
(Alexander "The Grater" +4, Skarzz -4)

Saturday Night Slam Masters - 01/07/06

Martin Riley defeated Grant Redstone when G. Redstone passed out in an armbar submission in 0:06:55.
Rating: ***

Australian Grant Redstone is bigger and stronger than Martin Riley, but big and strong doesn't always get you a victory. Riley dillegently works over Redstone with submission moves whenever Redstone isn't suplexing him over and over again. Redstone brought a trash can lid to the match, but Riley dodges the blow and ends up kicking the lid into Redstone's face, he slaps on an armbar and Redstone is out cold.
(Martin Riley +3, Grant Redstone -3)

Fuerza Dragon (Dragon de Actor and Dragon de Fuego) defeated V.2 Raiders (BC-2000 and Ultimate Spider) when Fuego pinned U. Spider after a Northern Lights suplex in 0:11:25.
Rating: ** 3/4

Great high-flying moves from both teams as they try to one-up each other with every exchange. Both cruiserweight teams are young and hungry for future title shots. They have a long way to go though.
(Dragon de Fuego +2, Dragon de Actor +1, Ultimate Spider -2, BC-2000 -1)

Rokuru pinned Andrew Marshall with the Roku-Driver in 0:09:47.
Rating: **** 1/4
(Rokuru won the SMWA Television Title.)

In what would have to be described as an upset, perennial fan favorite Rokuru defeated Andrew Marshall for the SMWA Television Title! Rokuru used speed and quick counters to his advantage and Marshall never was able to get this match under control. Rokuru hugs his Teddy Bear and his new belt in celebration.
(Rokuru +5, Andrew Marshall -5)

Jerry Kent made Spoon Man submit to an abdominal stretch in 0:04:33.
Rating: *** 1/4

Jerry Kent delivers a good old-fashioned ass whooping on Spoon Man for embarrassing his stable. More bad news for Spoon Man... I don't think StB is done yet.
(Jerry Kent +1, Spoon Man -1)

The Flying Scotsman pinned The Dark Brand after a brain buster in 0:06:01.
Rating: **** 1/4

The Dark Brand may have been disapointed in Angus Wallace's in-ring performance, but the Flying Scotsman pushed Dark Brand to the limit and past it. Scotsman countered just about everything Brand could muster, and then Scotsman had Brand reeling from pillar to post.
(The Flying Scotsman +1, The Dark Brand -1)

Zangief pinned Rick Clark with the Siberian Bear Crusher in 0:10:00.
Rating: *** 1/2

Rick Clark may have sneaked a victory past the Great Oni, but Zangief was in a pissed-off mood tonight for some reason and Clark ended up on the receiving end of some punishing moves. Clark did what he could, but tonight, it wasn't enough.
(Zangief +2, Rick Clark -2)

Luck of the Draw:
Deadline pinned Enrico Ferdinand after a figure-four leglock in 0:04:32.
Rating: ** 3/4

The Luck of the Draw match is a SNSM tradition. It can sometimes yield great match-ups, but tonight it featured the massive 320lbs Deadline against the 180lbs jobber "The Spanish Flash" Enrico Ferdinand. Ferdinand stayed out of the slower Deadline's hands for a little bit. But a Yakuza Kick put him down, and after a bit of thrashing, a figure-four leglock ended it.
(Deadline +1, Enrico Ferdinand -1)

Main Event:
Baki Mono (Amatsu Mikaboshi and Zuzanow) defeated Johnny Proton and Tim Redbury when Zuzanow defeated T. Redbury by countout in 0:02:29.
Rating: **

Wow.. Baki Mono sends a message to the rest of SMWA by taking out the biggest man in SMWA. "Titan" Tim Redbury, standing at 7'7" was knocked unconcious as Zuzanow hit a spinning leg kick to the face as Redbury's head was resting against the ring post. Redbury was busted open and required medical attention. The ref had no choice but to countout Redbury as he was loaded onto a stretcher.
(Amatsu Mikaboshi +1, Zuzanow +1, Johny Proton -1, Tim Redbury -1)

Just for reference, the Luck of the Draw Match?  Totally stolen from my old GLW Wild Card matches. :)

I know, I remember. I always dug your old Great Lakes Wrestling feds. Even though sometimes it took me a card or two before realizing it had restarted. The one with Gran Hamada (I think?) as your champ was my favorite.

Wild Card/LotD matches are always fun to do though.
Snabbit888Posted on 12/29/05 at 03:55:09

I was dumb back then in that I'd always get too curious and start fucking with the files and end up crashing something.  I just wanted to know what made TNM tick, and fucked up a lot of circuits in the process.  And for some reason, back then if anything ever went wrong with my database or whatever, I'd HAVE to restart instead of just making a new circuit and picking up where I had been.  *sigh*  The ignorance of youth. :)

SMWA: Monday Night Massacre - 01/09/06

Teknos pinned Paul Milo with the Teknospinner in 0:13:13.
Rating: ** 3/4

Great win for Teknos here. Milo got on the mike before the match and berated Teknos for wrestling in a Halloween costume. Teknos kept his cool while Milo lost his and took advantage of some major mistakes and hit the Teknospinner for the win.
(Teknos +4, Paul Milo -4)

Clone pinned The Great Oni after the Toka in 0:01:52.
Rating: **

Clone came out dressed as Amatshu Mikaboshi usually does and immediately assaults Oni with some weapons. Oni bled after a guitar shot form Clone, guitar had Baki Mono's emblem on the back. Clone hits the Toka, a move that Baki Mono tends to use a lot, and gets the pin! Sure enough, the clues are add up and Baki Mono arrives. Oni disapears in a flash of light, but nobody seems concerned. Zists places a strange necklace around Clone's neck and lets him drink out of an ornate bowl. It looks like Clone has joined Baki Mono.
(Clone +2, The Great Oni -2)

Teioh pinned West Bronco after the Toka in 0:09:26.
Rating: **
[Zists interfered against West Bronco.]

West Bronco comes out during Clone & Baki Mono's celebration and demands a rematch for the North American Title. Zists said he'll think about it and in the meanwhile, he'll face Teioh tonight. Bronco is a rough-and-tumble cowboy, but the martial art skills of his opponent is just too much. Bronco can't even escape outside as Zists tries to do that head thing again. Teioh ends the match with... The Toka!
(Teioh +1, West Bronco -1)

Highland Hell (Angus Wallace and The Flying Scotsman) defeated Andrew Marshall and The Dark Brand when Scotsman defeated D. Brand when D. Brand passed out in the the Scottish Breaker in 0:09:17.
Rating: ****
[Monica interfered against Andrew Marshall.]

The Dark Brand's been having his issues with Highland Hell. Tonight he recruited Andrew Marshall to tag up with him. Unfortunately it wasn't enough as Scotsman still had his number and had him tapping out to the Scottish Breaker. Highland Hell do their highland dance over Brand as he rolls out of the ring.
(The Flying Scotsman +2, Angus Wallace +1, The Dark Brand -2, Andrew Marshall -1)

BC-2000 and Wally B. defeated The Philadelphia X-Treme Machine (Slash Battle and Crash Burnz) when Wally made C. Burnz submit to a sleeperhold in 0:14:43.
Rating: ***
(The California Kid no-showed.)

The California Kid was punked out earlier on in the show, Wally B. got ahold of BC-2000 to fill in. The California Kid's assailant was unknown, but Crash Burnz was wearing what looking like the Kid's hat, and Battle was wearing what looked like the Kid's gold chains. Wally B. and BC-2000 made a pretty good team, though, and Wally gets the win with a sleeperhold. Extinct looked pretty damn furious with his team.
(BC-2000 +1, Wally B. +1, Crash Burnz -1, Slash Battle -1)

King Rasta pinned Skarzz with the Dread Lock Drop in 0:06:12.
Rating: ** 1/4

The monster known as Skarzz dominated King Rasta for most of the match, but Rasta knows what to do when facing a larger, stronger opponent--cheat! Rasta chucks the ref over the ropes and takes Skarzz down with a Lou Thesz Head Chomp! A few chairshots and a Dread Lock Drop later, a second official counts the victory for Rasta.
(King Rasta +4, Skarzz -4)

Main Event:
Four Way Crash:

Simply the Best (Cody Simmons and Jerry Kent) defeated Major Force (Ghost and The Scorpion), Jack Slade and Mike Haggar and Baki Mono (Amatsu Mikaboshi and Zuzanow) when J. Kent pinned Scorpion with the Reb-driver in 0:16:38.
Rating: ****

An intense match-up as all 4 teams hate each other and are jockeying for position to try to become top contenders for Alexander "The Grater"'s World Title. Way too much action to transcribe here as chaos ruled supreme.  Scorpion had been battling Haggar the majority of the match, but circumstances allowed Kent to take over and hit the Reb-Driver for a quick three-count. I'm not sure if they were the legal men, but the ref was generally counting any pinfall attempt that happened in the ring.
(Jerry Kent +4, Cody Simmons +1, Ghost -1, The Scorpion -4)
