3CW Bring It On 9-2-06

JustinPosted on 08/20/06 at 04:03:29

A short highlight video of last week's main event is shown to open the show. After the video the camera cuts quickly to the backstage area where we see Samoa Joe being restrained by security & agents as he tries to attack Matt Bentley. 3CW Commissioner: Jake Roberts finally gets on the scene.
JR: That's enough!Bentley, you better not be starting anything you can't handle. You already have to face Kurt Angle in one match tonight. Don't make me add another immediately after. (Bentley backs off instantly but Joe still tries to go after him) And you! (points at security & Samoa Joe) Get him out of here! I don't want you (still pointing at Joe) screwing up that #1 contender match later. I have enough to deal with without you tryiong to kill someone.
If you want him bad enough, you'll just have to wait & see if he can earn another shot at your title. Until then concider yourself off for the night. (security drags Joe away)

After the match:
CM Punk grabs his 3CW TV Title belt & the ring announcer's microphone.
CP: Once again, I have shown that there is no one that truly desreves a shot at MY 3CW Television Title. I am the most dominant wrestler in this company. I have held this title for 4 months and no one has come close to taking it away from me. (the crowd starts to chant for The Hurricane) Go ahead & chant his name. Beg & plead for him to come out. I said it last week, he had his shot. There will be no rematch, and that's final. And there is nothing anyone can do about it. (Jake Roberts' music plays as the 3CW commissioner steps onto the runway to the cheers of the fans)
JR: I beg to differ, my man. You see, I think that someone can do something about it. And that that someone is me! Now, while I won't be granting The Hurricane an immediate rematch, I do think that he desrves the chance to earn one. So to boost the spirit of competition in 3CW, next week there will be a battle royal to figure out just who your next challenge will come from. And the first name on the list of participants will be: The Hurricane! (The announcement infuriates Punk, who throws a tantrum in the ring as Jake turns to leave)

Ken Kennedy & Veronica Caine come to the ring. Caine gets the ring announcer's microphone & hands it to Kennedy.
KK: Over the past month, no one has amassed a winning streak like I have, but, due to politics, other men have been pushed up to the main events. Matt Bentley showed up out of nowhere & got a shot at Samoa Joe. Kurt Angle won 1 match & is already being concidered for the #1 contender spot. While I haven't had a shot at the title since Steven Richards held it last spring. Well, no more. I deserve to be in the main event & I challenge anyone from the back to come out here to prove me wrong. Just come on out & face the 242 pound, Green Bay, Wisconsin native: mmmmmMMMMMMMISTEEEEEERRRRRR KENNEDYYYYYY........ (gets on the second turnbuckle) Kennedy.
Brent Albright's music plays as "The SHooter" steps out with a mic of his own.
BA: So no one's had a winning streak like yours, huh? Well, I'm gonna have to beg to differ with you there. You see, I've won more matches than you, & I've been winning bigger matches than you. Last week I beat Edge, & for the weeks proceding  that, I've won 3 back to back battle royals. One of which you were in. So if you want to call someone out, I'm your man. Beacuse, the only way you're gonna prove to me that you belong near the main event is by going through me to get there. (Albright drops the mic & charges the ring)

Backstage: Edge & Lita walk into Jake Roberts' office. Jake is talking on the phone & from the tone of his voice, it's not a good call.
JR: (on the phone) Well, you hired me to do a job, and I'm doing it. No matter what it takes. I've done everything you wanted the last guy you had here to do, and more. I've actually got people watching the product & liking it. Now, you want to pull this crap? That's fine. I'll finish out my contract, but, you be sure to realize that hell will be unleashed by my hand before it's over. Trust me! (Jake slams the reciever down, then looks at Edge & Lita) Now what the hell do you 2 want?
E: Well Jake, I uhh hate to bother you after such an intense phone call, but, I have a request.
JR: Like I said, what the hell do you want?
E: Well, I know that you've seen how I've been on a bit of a losing streak lately. And growing up, you were always the gy that was more intimidating, more intense, & more intelligent than anyone else out there. And what I was hoping was that maybe you could help me regain my "edge",so to speak.
JR: (scoffs) So what you want is for me to teach you to be more like me. My man, you don't know what it is that you are asking for.
E: (looks at Lita dejected) I told you that your idea wouldn't work. (Jake perks up upon hearing it was Lita's idea)
JR: (to LIta) So you were the one that wanted this? (smiling) Well now, I've never been one to deny a lady any request. (looks back to Edge) I'll tell you what, my man. Since this was Lita's idea, and since the board of directors for 3CW have decided not to renew my contract after the next 3 weeks, I'll help you out. I promised them that I would unleash hell. And by letting you into my world, I think I've found just the way to do it. But, there are afew ground rules. First, you have to do whatever task I jave for you, no questions asked.
E: Done. What else?
JR: Other than that, all you have to do is trust me. I'll lead you to the promise land but the journey will not be pretty. You think you can handle that?
E: (smiling) Jake, this is one thing that I can handle more than you know. You won't regret this, I promise.
JR: (smiling) I know I won't. (scibbles something on a post it & hands it to Edge) Meet me here next week & we'll begin. And just remeber: Trust me. (laughs)

Footage is shown of the rivalry between Bobby Roode & Steven Richards, including last week's turn of Lance Storm. Backstage, Melissa Martinez is with Booby Roode, Scott D'Amore & Lance Storm.
MM: Lanc Storm, last week you chose to team with Steven Richards to take on Team Canada nly to turn on him after the match. That left fans all over wondering, "why?".
SD'A: Lance Storm has finnaly seen the error of his ways & has now.....
LS: Let me handle this Scott. Ever since I arrived here in 3CW, I've had the fans support, but, my record has been less than spectacular. And to a man such as myself, who thrives on winning, that was completely unacceptable. So I had to rid myself of what was holding me back, that being the fans. I came to that conclusion afew weeks ago when I was the receipiant of a shot from a hockey stick by Coach D'Amore. This was an awkening of sorts for me. It was a shining light of hope on what was the darkening of my career. Now as an unofficial member of Team Canada, I am redeticating my focus to what is most important in this business: winning. If Steven Richards cannot respect that on his own, then he will have to be taught the true meaning of respect by this Canadian Superstar.

Kurt Angle is with Melissa Martinez.
MM: Kurt, up next you go one on one with Matt Bentley, who lastweek pinned Samoa Joe in your triple threat match. How does this effect your approach to facing him?
KA: Not at all. Matt Bentley got lucky last week. First he had to attack me with a chair, which almost kept me from competing. Then while I was already hurt & down outside the ring, he pinned Samoa Joe after a lucky shot with his superkick. Matt likes to complain that he deserves another title match because he never officially submitted to Joe, & now because he pinned Joe last week. Well, he & I both have been in this business for nearly 7 years now. And if you look at our individual careers, there is no comparison. In nearly 7 years I have been a 5 time World Champion, a tag team champion, Intercontinental Champion, US Champion, and even Hardcore Champion. You show me anyone in the first 7 years of their carrer that has accomplished all that I have. You won't be able to do it. Not to mention that before I became a pro wrestler, I won Olympic Gold with a broken neck. Matt Bentley may have been in the business as long as I have, and he may have a famous family member, but he's not in my league. And Samoa Joe, while you may have danced at the Olympics, I competed there & walked out with something that shows I'm the best in the world. You may be tough, and you may never have submitted before, but I have beaten bigger & better en than you will ever be. And I will be the one man that will make you tap & take your title. Oh it's true, it's damn true.

Roberts has made a battle royal for next with the winner gaurenteed a 3CW TV Title shot in the near future. Not only that but, Roberts named The Hurricane as the 1st participant in the battle royal. How many more will be added? Find out next week.

Ken Kennedy & Brent Albright haven't been in thering together since the end of February at Last Man Standing's Elimination Chamber. Tonight, they showed why they both should be concidered for a shot at the 3CW Heavyweight Title. But first, Kennedy has demanded a rematch for next week, but, this time each man will get to pick a partner of his choice.

Jake Roberts was informed by telephone tonight that the 3CW Board of Directors will not renew his contract after it expires in 3 weeks. Roberts was not afraid to inform them that he will "unleash hell" upon 3CW for their decision. Then, as opportunistic as ever, Edge asked "The Snake" to tutor him on how to regain the fire that made the "Rated R Superstar" a World Champion. Jake agreed to help out but Edge would have to put al his trust in Roberts for the help to work. Next week, we will witness the first step for Edge to get back to the top & the first step of Roberts' plan to plunge 3CW to the depths of hell.

Lance Storm answered up to why he turned on Steven Richards last week, stating it was the fans fault for holding him back. Now, while not a member of Team Canada, he will help mentor Coach D'Amore's group to get them to the top.

Once again The Enterprise walked out with their 3CW Tag Team Title intact. The question comes up after every defense: Is there a team out there that can take the gold from Veronica Caine's championship duo?

Kurt Angle is now the #1 contender to Samoa Joe's 3CW Heavyweight Title. How will the battle of these 2 submission specialists go? Well, the fans won't have to wait long as it has already been signed as next week's main event.

Next week:

One on One:
Val Venis vs Bobby Roode

Ken Kennedy & Brent Albright will each get to choose a partner when they square off in a tag team match.

The Hurricane will join 10 other men in a battle royal in which the winner will get a shot at the 3CW TV Title.

Jake Roberts will reveal his first step to Edge & Lita in his plan to help the "Rated R Superstar" get back to the top.

And of course, for the first time ever: "The Extreme Wrestling Machine" Kurt Angle will try to take the 3CW Heavyweight Title from "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe
