GLWF Action TV: 11/26/05...

Welcome to GLWF Action TV!  We're coming to you live from beautiful Mount Pleasant, Michigan in Central Michigan University's Student Activity Center, home of the Central Michigan Chippewas for whats sure to be a great night of wrestling.  Tonight we'll see Alex Shelley make his first Television title defense against the man that cut his celebration short 4 weeks ago Harry Smith and Ron Killings will face off against Mr. Kennedy once again, but first lets get down to the ring for our opening match.

"The Showstopper" H.B. Cade vs. "Public Enemy #1" Shannon Moore

Shannon Moore has voiced his opinion about the new nickname that he's been given by Cornette and the fans.  Who told Clara Michaels to announce Shannon as "Public Enemy #1" though is a mystery, but Josh Abercrombie would probably be a fair guess.  Moore was not happy and didn't wrestle a pretty match.  He was all business and brawling.  Taking things to the outside to gain any advantage possible against the larger Cade.  Who was holding his own, but seemed to be struggling a little as he couldn't seem to get the fans behind him.  It was more that they didn't like Moore than they liked Cade.  The Showstopper did manage to hit the Superkick on the outside, but after rolling Shannon in only got a two.  Shannon managed to take the victory after running into the ropes and hitting a sleeperhold reverse mat slam with a generous amount of tight grab-age.

Shannon Moore pinned H.B. Cade after a sleeperhold reverse mat slam in 0:08:45.

Tank Toland is seen in a back part of the building talking on a cell phone.  Obviously only one side of the conversation can be heard, but Toland states that he doesn't need Lashley and he's bound and determined to show his former partner and everyone else that.  He continues on to try and convince whoever it is on the other end to come to GLWF and be his partner.  Adding things like "It'll be ok, I'm telling you it'll be ok," "You have nothing to worry about" and several other reassuring cliches.  It finally sounds like he's got the person convinced to come in and be his new tag team partner when he mentions "Oh... and by the way I've already managed to get us a match for next week, it's a handicap match against all three members of Los Corazones Negros."  To which he immediately has to go back into reassuring mode.  Toland walks away still trying to reconvince them to come.  Hopefully for Toland's sake he can talk whoever that was into coming down otherwise it's going to be a 3-on-1 instead of just a 3-on-2!

We're shown the locker room area where Shannon Moore is sitting on a bench.  Jim Cornette comes up behind him and doesn't look pleased.  He starts right in on Shannon, reprimanding him for how he beat Roadkill last week and saying how that didn't do any favors for his case of innocence.  Not to mention the fact that he defeated Cade tonight with a hand full of tights.  Moore tries to proclaim his innocence but Cornette still isn't buying what Moore is selling.  Moore tries to name some names at a feeble attempt to get Cornette off his case, like how it could've been Samoa Joe, he did kidnap Traci Brooks after all, or maybe it was Delirious, he's a freakin' not job, or maybe it was Abercrombie trying to frame him, but Cornette brushes all aside and looks Moore dead in the eye saying "I'm going to get you, you little GCW reject.  Someway, somehow you're going to hang for this."  Cornette leaves and Moore follows him, almost begging Cornette to believe that he's an innocent man.

Ron Killings vs. Mr. Kennedy

Ron Killings was extremely upset with the way that he won two weeks ago.  A blatant chair shot from Kennedy got him the win by DQ.  Killings was so upset that he attacked Kennedy from behind right after he emerged from the curtain.  Killings had a leg up and didn't want to give it away for anything.  They stayed on the outside of the ring and battled around a little before Kennedy tried to get away and catch a breath in the ring and the match was officially started.  Kennedy tried to beg off but Killings wasn't going to be swayed from making Kennedy pay that easily.  Kennedy gained some modicum of control after a well placed eye gouge followed by a hotshot, but even then he seemed to be having trouble keeping up with Killings' enraged pace.  Killings tried for the Consequence, but Kennedy blocked it.  Before he could do anything though Killings booted him in the gut and tried for the Ax Kick, but Kennedy moved out of the way at the last second.  Kennedy picked Killings up for a back suplex, but threw him down into a reverse powerbomb, setting Killings up for the Kenton Bomb and a very close win for Kennedy.

Mr. Kennedy pinned Ron Killings after the Kenton Bomb in 0:15:10.

We're now treated (and I use that term loosely) to a surprise visit from Great Lakes Heavyweight champion Michael Shane, who is accompanied by his girlfriend Traci Brooks.  Michael Shane starts off by talking about his upcoming title defense against Joe and makes sure that the fans remember that he's beaten Joe and retained the title on many occasions and says that next week will be no different other than the fact that he'll be climbing a ladder to retain the title as opposed to pinning him for a three count.  But something is amiss he says at which point he slowly turns and looks at Traci.  He says that she's been different since she came back.  A lot different.  She has actually told him to not interfere in matches with Joe and to keep things fair.  Shane says he knows exactly whats going on.  He did some reading on the internet and says he thinks Traci has Stockholm Syndrome.  Traci looks a little nervous, but Shane tells her not to worry because it'll be ok.  "Because you see Michael Shane knows how to treat a lady.  Michael Shane is a consummate gentleman and Michael Shane treats women with dignity and respect... that is... until the bitch gets in the way" at which point he kicks her in the stomach and hits a piledriver!  Michael Shane just hit Traci Brooks with a piledriver right in the middle of the damn ring!  That sadistic son of a bitch!  And here comes Samoa Joe to run Shane off!  Samoa Joe tends to Traci who seems to be hurt badly as Shane walks to the back, looking at the carnage he created in the ring with a sick smile on his face.

Main Event for the GLWF Television Title: "Bulldog" Harry Smith vs. Alex Shelley (c)

Tonight was not the first time these two men have been on opposite sides of the ring from eachother, though it has indeed been a while.  Alex Shelley was making his first title defense tonight since winning the belt four weeks ago from Austin Aries and Harry Smith was looking to make good on his resolution to start taking matters into his own hands and create opportunities.  He was off to a good start as he double crossed Alex Shelley during his victory celebration after winning the Television title, but could he follow it up with a win was the question.  Smith had the strength advantage and he was using it to it's fullest.  Shelley was trying to use his speed and agility as best he could which was pretty good, but Smith did a good job at stopping Shelley's offense before it became match threatening for him.  Smith looked like he was going to take the title home and make Shelley's title reign a short one as he picked Shelley up for the Running Powerslam, but Shelley managed to wiggle free from Smith's grib and swung himself off his shoulder landing in front of him... SHELL SHOCK OUT OF NO WHERE!  One... two... THREE!  Smith kicked out but it was a fraction of a second too late as Alex Shelley makes his first successful title defense!  Shelley gets himself out of the ring fast as Smith proceeds to throw a fit in the ring.  He threatens the ref, but the referee smartly heads for the hills as well.

[Main Event]:
Alex Shelley pinned Harry Smith with the Shell Shock in 0:16:38.

(Alex Shelley retained the GLWF Television title.)

What an evening it's been tonight in Mount Pleasant.  And if you thought tonight was something special wait until next week when the time has finally come for the long awaited ladder match between Samoa Joe and Michael Shane for the Great Lakes Heavyweight title!  And in related news we've gotten word that Traci Brooks is alright, her neck is hurt and she'll have to wear a neck brace for a little while just to be safe, but nothing is broken thank god and we're told that she will be at ring side during the main event next week... in Samoa Joe's corner!  That plus Roadkill faces Delirious, Josh Abercrombie faces "Savage" Siaki and a handicap match featuring Los Corazones Negros taking on Tank Toland and hopefully for Tank's sake the man he was on the phone with earlier this evening, otherwise the 2-time former tag team champion is in deep, deep trouble.  We'll see you next week back at our home in Kalamazoo for more Action TV!  Good night everybody!

I kinda like the name. Maybe Moore should play up more too it use it as motivation to kick some butt.

Wonder who Tank's new partner is? Hmmmmmm

Mrrrrrrrrr. Kennedy lives to tell another tale, Rollings must be pissed, I mean what does he have to do to get the win.?

That SOB Shane! I kinda figured Traci may have taken to Joe durring her time with him but to lay her out like that in the ring.

"Because you see Michael Shane knows how to treat a lady.  Michael Shane is a consummate gentleman and Michael Shane treats women with dignity and respect... that is... until the bitch gets in the way"

I'm sure that line will go down in history along with "A groin pull the likes you never seen"

Nice win for Shelley He's growing on me

Great card.
