3CW Meltdown 8-26-06

JustinPosted on 08/14/06 at 03:53:35

The show opens with a highlight video from last week. The video ends with footage of an unconcious Matt Bentley locked in Samoa Joe's Kokina Clutch. After the video, Bentley & Traci come to the ring.
MB: That video shows the truth right there. Samoa Joe did not make me tap out, he didn't pin me, he couldn't even beat me by a dq or countout. Therefore, I deserve a rematch tonight for the 3CW Heavyweight Title! I'm not waiting for an answer Joe. Get you fat ass out here & let's do this right now. You never made me submit. Come Joe, what are you waiting for? You know that no one in 3CW can make me tap out.... Trumpets blare as Kurt Angle's music plays as the "Extreme Wrestling Machine" makes his way to the ring.
MB: Kurt, this has nothing to do with you. So why don't you just got back to the locker room & relax.
KA: Oh it's real simple, why I don't do that. Did I just hear you say that no one in 3CW can make ou tap? Did you forget that I was here tonight? I mean that must be it, because, no man in his right mind would think to say such a thing with Kurt Angle in the building. Now, I know that you're upset about your big loss last week, and maybe you weren't thinking straight before you opened your mouth, but, make no mistake if we get in the ring together, I can & will make you tap!
MB: Easy Kurt, I don't wanna fight you. My beef is with Samoa Joe.
KA: That's the other thing that brought me out here. For a month all anyone heard was how you were going to be the man to dethrone Samoa Joe. All you would need is one shot to do it. Well, last week, you had your one shot. So, now it's time you step aside & let a new challenger take over.
MB: And you think that you deserve the shot? You just got here. It took you over 15 minutes to beat Lance Cade; a guy that everyone here has already beat. So how about this? Next week, you & I can face off to see just who is the real #1 contender.
Samoa Joe's music plays & the 3CW Heavyweight Champion steps onto the runway.
SJ: You know something boys? I don't care who the #1 contender is, be it you Kurt or you Matt. All that matters to me is holding on to this belt. So next week, you 2 can go ahead & have your little #1 contender match. But as for tonight, I'm not scheduled to defend my title, but, I'm itching for a match. So why don't the 3 of us settle some of the debate in a Triple Threat match tonight. Matt Bentley, you don't think I beat you bad enough last week? I'll be happy to kick your ass again. And Kurt Angle, I've been dreamin' of kicking yours for the past 6 years.
Joe drops the mic & walks off as Angle starts to climb through the ropes to give chase. Just as Angle steps part way through the ropes, Bentley attacks him, knocking him to the floor. Bentley then grabbed a chair from the audience & battered Angle's leg & back leaving him writhing in pain.

A pre-recorded interview with 3CW TV Champion: CM Punk airs.
CP: Last week, I gave The Hurricane a shot at my 3CW Television Title. And when he failed to take my belt away from me, he forfeited any rights to being #1 contender. I have proven time & again that I am a truly dominant champion. No challenger can defeat me, I don't care what so-called "super powers" they say they have. The Hurricane couldn't get the job done, so I'm moving on. For those of you too uneducated to understand, that means there will be no rematch for The Hurricane. I will not waste my time on someone that couldn't beat when they had the chance. It's time for a new challenger, and another victim for me to prove just how much I deserve this belt. Make no mistake, my nameis CM Punk & I will be around for a long time as champion.

3CW Newsline:

It's official! Next week Kurt Angle & Matt Bentley will face off to determone just who should be the #1 contender to the 3CW Heavyweight Title. By pinning Samoa Joe in the non-title Triple Threat match tonight, Matt Bentley seems to be the odds on favorite to get a chance at the gold.

CM Punk stated in a pre-taped interview that he will not grant The Hurricane a rematch for the 3CW TV Title anytime soon. Is this a smart move made by the champion to move on? Or a desperate cowardly act by a man that knows he has met his match?

Colt Cabana & Too Cold Scorpio will get their shot at the 3CW Tag Team Title next week. Will this be the team to finally break The Enterprise's stanglehold on the belts? Or will they be just another team to fall by the wayside thanks to the dominant champions?

Edge's losing streak continued on tonight as his temper got the better of him causing his dq against Brent Albright. Just what will it take to turn the luck of the "Rated R Superstar" around?

Is it true? Has Lance Storm has sided with Team Canada against Steven Richards? Next week, the Canadian Superstar will answer the question on the minds of fans everywhere: "Why?"

Next week:
The challenges have been thrown out & the answer that came back is :
Bring It On

#1 Contender Match:
"The Extreme Wrestling Machine" Kurt Angle vs "Maverick" Matt Bentley w/ Traci

For the 3CW Tag Team Title:
The Enterprise (Frankie Kazarian & Maven) (c ) w/ Veronica Caine vs Too Cold Scorpio & Colt Cabana

Lance Storm & Booby Roode w/ Scott D'Amore vs Steven Richards & Val Venis

plus more!
