Eric Young pinned Johnny Devine after a small package in 0:03:11.
Rating: ** 1/2

Paranoia seems to run rampant around TNA. Eric Young has convinced himself that he will eventually be fired. While that is most certainly not the case, especially with the overwhelming support he has from the fans, his fellow TNA wrestlers have fun convincing him that there is definitely a chance he will be fired sooner than later. Jim Cornette made this match to not only show Eric Young that he will not be fired, but also gave him a showcase to a pay per view audience to show what he is all about.

At first, Eric Young was reluctant to face his former Team Canada friend Johnny Devine. However, Johnny Devine certainly could care less about Eric Young as he tricked Eric Young into a handshake that he turned into a short arm clothesline. Johnny Devine turned to the crowd and mocked Eric Young's "we're on the same level" gesture and laughed. However, Eric Young didn't think it was very funny as he surprised Johnny Devine with a rollup that managed to get the three count! Eric Young will not be fired as he did exactly what Jim Cornette wanted and that was to win the match against Johnny Devine on pay per view.

Interview:
Jeremy Borash interviewed Christian Cage who will be in Sting's corner in tonight's NWA World Heavyweight Title Match. Christian says he is proud to be on Sting's side tonight and that he is excited to have a front row seat to the end of Jeff Jarrett's title reign, if not the end of his TNA career. Christian warns Scott Steiner against trying anything to help Jeff Jarrett either because if that should happen, he has a plan to thwart that from happening. Jeremy Borash tries to get Christian to expand on that last statement but Christian just ignores him and leaves the interview set.

Abyss defeated Brother Runt by countout in 0:07:15.
Rating: *

When Team 3D decided to take a break to refocus themselves on coming back and winning the NWA World Tag Team Titles, they told Brother Runt not to get into any trouble because they wouldn't be there to help him. Instead of taking their advice, Brother Runt has caused havoc since then, notably to of all people, Abyss. Brother Runt has not been afraid of Abyss at all, which has to surprise Abyss considering he's intimidated quite a few competitors in his time in TNA.

While Abyss does have the size and power advantage over Brother Runt, you can't put a value on the determination and heart of Brother Runt either. He didn't back down at all in this match against Abyss and it seem to frustrate the big man throughout. It frustrated Abyss so much that he decided to do a throwback to when Brother Runt was in an extreme promotion. Abyss picked Brother Runt up and proceeded to toss him into the crowd! The crowd wasn't ready for this and instead of landing in the arms of the fans to guide him back to the ramp, he landed hard to the concrete floor. The referee made the ten count and considering how he landed and from where he was thrown, Brother Runt wasn't going to get back up before the ten count. Abyss wins this match via countout. However, you have to wonder how much of a win this was for Abyss or if it was more of a win for Brother Runt as Abyss did not get a pinfall victory over him.

Interview:
AJ Styles walks into Christopher Daniels' locker room and finds him lying on the concrete floor out cold from an apparent attack. Obviously, this has to be the actions of the Latin American Exchange trying to gain an advantage going into their match against the NWA World Tag Team Champions, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels.

Number-One-Contenders-Four Corners Match:
The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) defeated America's Most Wanted
(James Storm and Chris Harris), The James Gang (B.G. James and Kip James) and
Better Than You (Michael Shane and Kazarian) when C. Stevens pinned C. Harris
after the the Natural Disaster in 0:28:55.
Rating: *** 1/2
[Traci interfered against Kip James.]
[Gail Kim interfered against Michael Shane.]

Lately, there has been some disagreement between America's Most Wanted, one of, if not the greatest tag teams in TNA history. Gail Kim has tried her best to keep these two together, if not to keep a great tag team together at the very least to keep her investment in them that has made her a very rich woman.

The other teams in this match, The James Gang, The Naturals, and Michael Shane and Kazarian all have had some kind of momentum going into this match. Of note, Matt Bentley has once again changed his name to Michael Shane, and according to him, he is staying with it regardless of what some out of shape, lousy tag team wrestler has to say about it. As for the Naturals, the training from Shane Douglas, who has branded them the Franchised Naturals, has really paid off as they have looked impressive ever since. The James Gang, of course, are former World Tag Team Champions in another promotion and are still looking to win the titles here in TNA. This match provided them with the opportunity; all they needed to do was take the opportunity with a victory tonight.

Once again, though, miscommunication lead to a loss for America's Most Wanted. James Storm held Andy Douglas for a chairshot attempt by Chris Harris behind the referee's back, who had his attention on The James Gang and Kazarian and Michael Shane on the outside of the ring. When Chris Harris went for the chairshot, Andy Douglas moved out of the way and the chair hit James Storm instead, knocking him out of the ring. The Naturals took advantage of the situation by hitting Chris Harris with the Natural Disaster for the win! After the match, Shane Douglas shook hands with The Naturals but reminded them that they haven't won anything yet. When they defeat whoever the NWA World Tag Team Champions are, then and only then will Shane Douglas be satisfied with them.

Interview:
Jeremy Borash is with the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett and his cornerman tonight, Scott Steiner. Jeff Jarrett says that tonight Sting will get a wakeup call that you can't just get rid of him as easy as Sting thinks he can. Look at his cornerman, its Scott Steiner, Big Poppa Pump. Compare the Genetic Freak to Christian Cage and then you'll see why Jeff Jarrett isn't  worried in the slightest about that aspect of the match. At this point, Jeff Jarrett's only concern is with what Christian said earlier about having a plan against Scott Steiner. Scott Steiner assures him that nobody from Mexico North could be that smart to find someone that can help him against Big Poppa Pump.

Kevin Nash pinned Chris Sabin with the Jackknife Power Bomb in 0:10:23.
Rating: **

Kevin Nash has made a mockery of the X Division since returning to TNA, along with fellow Paparazzi Productions members Alex Shelley and Johnny Devine. However, instead of continually mocking the division with words alone, Kevin Nash has decided the best way to embarrass the division would be to become its champion! Throughout the past several weeks, Jerry Lynn, Chris Sabin's mentor, has been helping him train for this match and to defend the honor of the X Division. In this match, Jerry Lynn stood in the corner of Chris Sabin to cancel out Alex Shelley on the other side of the ring.

Chris Sabin used his quickness in this match to avoid being overpowered by the much taller Kevin Nash. Sabin even went for dropkicks to Nash's knees, which haven't exactly been free from injury in his career. It seemed that Chris Sabin was getting somewhat of an ego here as he was faring quite well against Kevin Nash. Chris' ego got the better of him when he inexplicable attempted to hit the Cradle Shock on a seven foot tall Kevin Nash. The cameras could pick up Jerry Lynn yelling at him to not try that move but he did anyways and it backfired. Kevin Nash pounded on Chris Sabin until he had to let go of the attempt. Kevin Nash whipped him off the ropes and met him with a big boot. From there, Kevin Nash hit the Jackknife Power Bomb for the three count.

After the match, while Alex Shelley celebrated Kevin Nash's victory to become the number one contender for the X Division Title, Jerry Lynn could be seen on the other side of the ring shaking his head at Chris Sabin in disappointment.

Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Samoa Joe defeated Rhino and Monty Brown when Joe made M. Brown submit to the
Kokina Clutch in 0:07:57.
Rating: *** 1/4

After the brawl these three had on the last episode of Impact, it was evident that this match tonight at the pay per view would be nothing less than full mayhem. That's exactly what it was here at Hard Justice. These three brawled all throughout the arena but eventually made their way back out through the ramp. Eventually, Rhino was able to set a table up against the entranceway, similar to a few weeks ago on Impact. Rhino placed Monty Brown against the table and then put Samoa Joe in front of him. Rhino then attempted the Gore, but Samoa Joe had been playing possum and moved out of the way at the last second and Rhino hit the Gore on Monty Brown through the table.

Samoa Joe picked Rhino up and hit the Muscle Buster onto the ramp. Then, Samoa Joe grabbed Monty Brown and brought him down to the ring. Samoa Joe wanted the entire arena to see him defeat Monty Brown. Samoa Joe hit the Muscle Buster on Monty Brown and then applied the Kokina Clutch. Monty Brown, still conscious enough to feel the pain of being locked in that submission hold, quickly tapped out. With the victory, Samoa Joe continues to remain undefeated since entering TNA.

Interview:
Jeremy Borash is with the NWA World Tag Team Champions, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels, who has recovered enough to do this interview. Jeremy Borash wonders who attacked him and what Christopher Daniels' effectiveness will be going into their title defense against the LAX tonight. Christopher Daniels said he doesn't remember much obviously, but what he does remember is that the person who attacked him wasn't anyone in the Latin American Exchange and that the person was wearing a mask to conceal their identity. As for his condition, Christopher Daniels laughs that off and says that even a Christopher Daniels at 50% is better than anyone in the LAX at 120%.

Triangle Match:
Jay Lethal defeated Petey Williams and Senshi when Lethal pinned Senshi
with the Lethal Injection in 0:21:37.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Jay Lethal won the TNA X Division Title.)

Jay Lethal is the youngest athlete on the TNA roster. After this match, he is also the youngest X Division Champion! In a tremendous upset, Jay Lethal countered a Warrior's Way attempt by rolling out of the way and following it up by hitting Senshi with the Lethal Injection. As Jay Lethal went for the pin, Petey Williams was on the top turnbuckle, appearing like he would try to break the pin up with some high flying move, but instead he got down from the turnbuckle and watched as Jay Lethal got the three count. Petey Williams clapped as Jay Lethal was handed the X Division Championship.

After the match, Jay Lethal looked surprised at Petey Williams but nonetheless was very excited at becoming the X Division Champion. Why did Petey Williams, who is such a competitive athlete, allow Jay Lethal to win the match and the X Division Title?

Latin American Exchange (Homicide and Hernandez) defeated AJ Styles and
Christopher Daniels when Homicide pinned C. Daniels with the Gringo
Killa in 0:17:33.
Hernandez injured his right knee. He will be out for approximately 4 cards.
Rating: ****
(Latin American Exchange won the NWA World Tag Team Titles.)

AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels are a dream team when it comes to tag team wrestling. AJ Styles, a 3 time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, 5 time X Division Champion, and Christopher Daniels, a former 2 time X Division Champion, and 3 time NWA World Tag Team Champion with Triple X. It just made sense for these two to become a team and put their intense singles rivalry against each other behind them. As their opponents for tonight described them, they are the poster boys for what TNA is about.

On the other side of the ring stood the challengers, LAX, comprised of Homicide and Hernandez, and lead by Konnan. This team made a statement a few weeks ago on Impact when they viciously attacked AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. Not only did they almost break AJ Styles' neck, they signed the open contract the champions put out in Christopher Daniels' blood. The trio has continually said that they will take what they deserve and bring the NWA World Tag Team Championships back to the Latin people.

Christopher Daniels mentioned earlier that the person who attacked him was wearing a mask. A masked man appeared during this match and watched it along with Konnan on the outside of the ring. Homicide threw Christopher Daniels to the outside of the ring where this masked man was standing and started to distract the referee. Hernandez quickly entered the ring and attacked AJ Styles, while the referee was trying to separate the three of them. Meanwhile, when Christopher Daniels got back to his feet, he was met with a kick to the stomach and a power bomb from this masked man! The masked man threw Christopher Daniels back into the ring.

Hernandez and AJ Styles had taken their fight to the other side of the ring while Homicide had stopped distracting the referee. Homicide immediately went for the Gringo Killa to get the three count! The LAX are the new NWA World Tag Team Champions!

Konnan kicks Christopher Daniels out of the ring and celebrates with Homicide and Hernandez, along with the masked man that helped them. Konnan says that what everyone witnessed was the Latin Revolution with the LAX finally breaking the glass ceiling and becoming the NWA World Tag Team Champions over the poster boys of TNA. The man that helped the cause of the LAX tonight is a good friend of Konnan and believes in what LAX is trying to do here in TNA. Not only that, considering his stature, he could very well be the next X Division or even the next NWA World Heavyweight Champion. The masked man takes off his mask to reveal none other than one of AAA's rudo stars, Cibernetico! The fans don't know what to think of Cibernetico as he's primarily wrestled in Mexico in his career. However, they boo him nonetheless as he celebrates LAX's victory.

Interview:
Jeremy Borash is standing by with the former Enforcer for Team Canada, Bobby Roode. Roode says that he is the hottest free agent in all of professional wrestling. Every manager in professional wrestling and TNA has expressed interest in giving him their managerial services to take him to the very top of the sport. Roode says he intends to not only make himself rich, but whoever can guide his career to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, will also be guaranteed money and lots of it. Booby Roode says that next week on Impact, there will be an opportunity for every manager to prove their case to him about why they should be his manager.

Jeff Jarrett pinned Sting in 0:19:07.
Rating: ** 1/2
(Jeff Jarrett retained the NWA World Heavyweight Title.)
[Gail Kim and Christian Cage interfered against Sting.]

Ever since Sting stepped back into the six sided ring for TNA, it seems as if he has been at odds with Jeff Jarrett. Once he officially returned, he made it his goal to rid TNA of the "cancer," as he called it, of Jeff Jarrett. It would be the only way that TNA could continue its rise in professional wrestling. Of course, hearing this kind of talk has obviously made Jeff Jarrett paranoid of everyone around him and of TNA management, especially Jim Cornette.

Since his return, Sting befriended Christian Cage, the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion. The two have been close friends throughout; however, recently, Christian Cage has questioned Sting's motivation of whether he truly is here to rid TNA of Jeff Jarrett or to become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion again. The problems between Sting and Christian Cage were resolved when Cage apologized to Sting and offered to be in his corner at this pay per view to counter Scott Steiner who will be in Jeff Jarrett's corner. Sting agreed to Christian Cage's offer and it appeared that TNA would have a fair, one on one championship match in the main event of a pay per view, Hard Justice.

The two cornermen, Scott Steiner and Christian Cage brawled on the outside of the ring at one point. Samoa Joe then came out and took over for Christian and started to brawl with Scott Steiner. Samoa Joe got the advantage and hit a Muscle Buster onto the concrete floor, which gave Sting the advantage. Jeff Jarrett looked worried considering his insurance plan in Scott Steiner was unable to help him this time thanks to Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe nodded to Sting and left to go up the ramp backstage.

Inevitably, this match had a ref bump in the latter stages when Sting knocked into Rudy Charles. Jeff Jarrett took advantage of the situation by surprising Sting with the Stroke. However, as Jeff Jarrett taunted the crowd, behind Sting got back up to his feet. When Jeff Jarrett turned around, he was met with a muscle pose from Sting and punches. Sting hit the Scorpion Death Drop and thought about going for the pin but Christian Cage got up on the ring apron with a chair and yelled something to Sting about a Stinger Splash. Sting smiled and gave him the thumbs up. Sting whipped Jeff Jarrett into the corner of the ring and Christian held the chair over Jeff Jarrett, restraining him from even trying to get out of the move. However, as Sting was in the air to hit the Stinger Splash, Christian quickly moved the chair away from Jarrett and hit Sting in the head with it! What is going on here with Christian Cage? These two were supposed to be good friends?! With the referee still knocked down, Christian entered the ring. Sting laid motionless on the mat, out cold from the chairshot from Christian Cage. Jeff Jarrett had a wide smile on his face and Christian smiled back. Jeff Jarrett extended his hand and it looked like he was going to shake it, but instead he gave him a chairshot as well!

Christian Cage picked Sting up and executed the Unprettier onto the chair. Christian then put Jeff Jarrett on top of Sting for the cover and shook Rudy Charles onto he came to enough to make the three count.

After the match, Christian Cage stood on the outside of the ring with a blank expression on his face, no emotion at all, staring at Sting in the ring.

Match observations:

Here are some post show notes:

Cibernetico, who has been wrestling for the AAA lucha libre promotion, has signed a contract with TNA. The contract allows him to continue to wrestle for AAA, however, as far as American wrestling is concerned, he is exclusive to TNA. There are a few more lucha libre stars that TNA is currently in discussions with to join the promotion as well.

It can also be confirmed that Hernandez, one half of the new NWA World Tag Team Champions, LAX, does indeed have an injury to his right knee that he sustained in the match against AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. It's a relatively minor injury that should keep him out for a month. However, the titles will need to be defended within that time span. In fact, TNA Management Director Jim Cornette has already granted AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels a rematch for next week on Impact. It should be interesting to see how LAX regroups and responds to their first title defense against the former champions.

Christian Cage shocked the fans with his betrayl of Sting. His betrayl did not seem to be planned with Jeff Jarrett as he hit him with a chairshot before putting him on top of Sting for the cover. However, nonetheless, Christian Cage cost Sting his chance to become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. It also has ruined Sting's goal of getting rid of Jeff Jarrett from TNA. Christian Cage ignored all requests from TNA's website for comments. Hopefully, this week on Impact, Christian Cage will explain his actions from tonight's pay per view.

It can be confirmed that the managers hoping to acquire Bobby Roode as their client are Father James Mitchell, Simon Diamond, Shane Douglas, Traci Brooks, Scott D'More, and even Bobby Heenan. They will all be on Impact next Thursday to persuade Bobby Roode to choose them as his manager.

Apparently, Senshi, the former X Division Champion is livid. Not just because he lost the championship belt to Jay Lethal, but because Petey Williams did not attempt to break the pin when he had the chance.

A Latin Invasion?
By Ross Forman
August 14, 2006

Last night at the Hard Justice pay per view, the TNA fans witnessed the debut of Cibernetico. For American wrestling fans who have not had the opportunity to watch lucha libre, Cibernetico is probably an unknown to them. However, to those who are familiar with LAX's newest member, they will tell you that the LAX just got tremendously stronger.

"I've wrestled with Cibernetico and I've wrestled against Cibernetico," says Konnan. "He's exactly what his nickname says he is, The Main Man. For TNA and more importantly, for the LAX, to acquire his services is very important and continues the development of this promotion to showcase different styles of wrestling."

Cibernetico isn't the traditional high flying kind of luchador. He's more of a brawling, powerhouse type of wrestler. That style should suit him well in TNA's heavyweight division. One of AAA's biggest stars, Cibernetico should have no problem working his way up the standings. If not for his ability, at the very least for his confidence.

"I've been the Main Man wherever I have wrestled. Antonio Pena (the owner of the AAA lucha libre promotion in Mexico) tried holding me down, put obstacles in my way, and I took them all on and defeated them. I've wrestled and defeated some of the best luchadors that Mexico has to offer. I look at TNA's roster and while there are some decent competitors, none of them can match up with me. I'm just not impressed at all," Cibernetico said, which was interpreted through Moody Jack Melendez.

When asked whether Cibernetico is just the beginning of the Latin Invasion, Konnan wasn't very forthcoming.

"The Latin Invasion isn't the right way to describe the situation. I like to call it the Latin Revolution. The LAX put TNA on notice when we attacked their poster boys, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels, and accepted their open challenge for the NWA World Tag Team Titles. When Hernandez and Homicide defeated those gringos for the World Tag Team Championship, it hopefully served as a wakeup call to the rest of TNA that the LAX is for real and we are serious in our mission. As far as more luchadors joining our cause here in TNA? Well, let's just say that I have plenty of friends from Mexico who want to showcase their style to the American audience."

The facts about Cibernetico:

Height: 6'2"
Weight: 280
Age: 31
Hometown: Mexico City
Wrestling Debut: 1992
Trained by: Karloff Lagarde, Ray Mendoza and Ebano Ruiz
Accomplishments: WWA World Champion, National Champion, UWA World Champion, Rey de Reyes (King of Kings), GPCW World Champion
Rivals: La Parka, Octagon, Mascara Sagrada, Latin Lover
