GLWF Action TV: 11/12/05...

americamamushiPosted on 08/10/06 at 08:43:38

Welcome to GLWF Action TV!  We're coming to you live from the GLWF Facilities in Kalamazoo, Michigan for a great night of wrestling action!  We start off the program tonight with some good news.  Samoa Joe has held true to his promise of returning Traci Brooks and just a little while earlier we caught their reunion on tape.

Michael Shane is standing in the GLWF parking lot as a cab drives up and out steps Traci Brooks who doesn't look any worse for wear.  Her and Shane embrace and he seems genuinely relieved to have her back and safe.  He asks if she's ok and what that monster Joe did to her.  Traci says that she's fine and Joe took good care of her.  Michael Shane doesn't believe it for a second and starts to go off on a tirade of how he and the Age of Shane are going to make Samoa Joe pay, retire him and so on and so forth.  Traci tries to calm Shane down saying that Joe really did treat her well and that its ok.  Shane eventually calms down, though you can tell he's still got the thoughts of what to do to Joe on his mind.  She asks Shane that if during he and Nigel's tag team match tonight if he can keep Austin Aries and Chris Masters from interfering so that the fight is fair.  Shane can't believe what she just asked, but doesn't seem to want to argue about it and complies, saying whatever, he's just glad she's home and safe, but adds that he doesn't want her out there tonight either.  She just got back and he doesn't want to risk losing her again.

"The Cat" Ernest Miller vs. Josh Abercrombie

Ernest Miller and Josh Abercrombie started tonight off with a nice little match.  Or at least it was for a little while.  A few good exchanges back and forth, nothing ground breaking or fast-paced, but passable to say the least.  Until Delirious came down with his bucket of glitter and started prancing around the ring, tossing glitter playfully into the air, and shouting something which did not sound unlike the micro machine man order a big mac on a constant loop.  Abercrombie was obviously still miffed at Delirious as once Josh noticed him, he exited the ring quickly and chased Delirious around the ring in what can be described only as amusing.  Eventually the chase led them to the back and Ernest Miller picked up the victory by count out, though he celebrated like he won the nobel prize.

Ernest Miller defeated Josh Abercrombie by count out in 0:05:01.

Before Clara Michaels can make the announcement for the next match she's interrupted by Mr. Kennedy.  Kennedy tells her to hold it for just one second.  He knows what she's going to do.  She's going to announce Ron Killings first, but that ain't gonna happen tonight.  He'll handle the introduction and show her how it's done.  "Tonight... I weigh in at an astonishing... 242lbs... I hail... from GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN!  I am the man who has single handedly changed the way all you Kalamazoo bums spend your Saturday nights... and I'm announced first because I am so... damn... awesome.... MISTER...... KENNEDY!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEN-NED-DY!!!  And my opponent.. he hails from it doesn't matter and weighs in at who gives a crap... Ron... 'The Truth is your about to lose to Mr. Kennedy' Killings."  This brings out Ron Killings who was not happy with Mr. Kennedy before and that introduction sure didn't do anything to improve Kennedy's standing with Killings.

Ron Killings vs. Mr. Kennedy

Ron Killings was all business and went right in on the attack.  Killings was trying to gain a footing in the match, but Ron was all over him like stink on a monkey.  Kennedy gained that footing a few times, but Killings had the fire in his eyes and quickly gained it back.  Finally, seemingly out of desperation though I'm sure he'd never admit it Mr. Kennedy got out of the ring and grabbed a chair, clocking Killings hard when he came to to continue his assault. Kennedy didn't seem to care that it was going to get him DQed because he clocked Killings knowing full well he was in plain view of the referee, who DQed him on the spot.  Mr. Kennedy seemed very proud of himself and Killings seemed very out of and had a trickle of blood from the vicious shot.

Ron Killings defeated Mr. Kennedy by disqualification in 0:08:13.

After Clara Michaels' announce Ron Killings as the winner by DQ Kennedy exits the ring and snatches the microphone away from her. "I'm sorry sweetheart you're mistaken because the real winner of this match is me.... MISTER..... KENNEDY!!!!!!!" Kennedy quickly jukes his head forward, startling Clara and smiles "KEN.... NEH....DY!!!!!!"

Mistico vs. "Bulldozer" Bobby Lashley

This match was kind of like David vs. Goliath except in this case Goliath was the good guy.  Bobby Lashley is the one that Mistico pinned to win he and Hector Garza the Great Lakes Tag Team titles for Los Corazones Negros, though it was a tandem move that put Lashley away.  Mistico had the early advantage, staying one step ahead of Lashley with quickness and cunning.  Mistico was flying and dodging and Lashley was taking some good luchadore offense, before he finally sent Mistico to a screeching halt with a huge lariat that, had this been a cartoon, would most certainly have knocked Mistico's boots clean off and sent little birdies and stars spinning around his head.  Lashley threw Mistico around like a rag doll after that, but he didn't waste too much time milking the advantage as he threw Mistico backwards with a big release tiger suplex and hooked the leg for the pinfall.

Bobby Lashley pinned Mistico after a tiger suplex in 0:07:33.

Main Event: Samoa Joe & Gunner Scott vs. The Age of Shane ("The Essence of Excellence" Michael Shane & Nigel McGuinness)

The tension in this match was obvious.  Scott and Nigel have been at odds lately and Samoa Joe and Michael Shane have been going back and forth virtually since GLWF's debut.  The match was heated, but actually stayed pretty civil between the two teams as they actually tried to wrestle and not resort to underhanded trickeries.  Several times during the match an in ring confrontation between Samoa Joe and Michael Shane was teased, but Shane always managed to get himself out of the ring before Joe could get his hands on him.  Things were pretty even and the match could've gone either way... until the end of the match when Joe finally managed to get his hands on Michael Shane.  The two were duking it out on the outside like there was no tomorrow and neither man was letting up... they weren't the legal men, but the fans didn't care.  While that was going on Nigel was in the ring with the upper hand on Gunner Scott and had him locked in a cravate.  It seemed like Gunner was fading fast.  Masters and Aries came through the curtain and tried to make their way down to the ring to help out Michael Shane and put a hurtin' on Samoa Joe, but Traci Brooks ran out and stopped them.  They argued with Traci to let them by but she wouldn't.  Sure they could've physically gotten her out of the way, but the last thing they wanted especially right now was to get in hot water with the boss by shoving his girlfriend out of the way.  Shane and Joe continued to brawl on the outside as Gunner Scott was in the ring getting a second wind!  He fought his way out of the cravate and hit a couple forearms he ran into the ropes and came back, ducking a clothesline from Nigel and grabbing a waist lock while he was there... GERMAN SUPLEX!  And another!  And it's the trifecta!  One... two... three!  Masters and Aries finally force their way around Traci, but Joe and Gunner hit the bricks into the crowd to celebrate their win.  Shane, Aries, Masters and McGuinness are in the ring trying to goad Joe and Scott back into the ring, but they're smarter than that.

[Main Event]:
Samoa Joe and Gunner Scott defeated The Age of Shane (Michael Shane and Nigel McGuinness) when Gunner pinned N. McGuinness after a German suplex in 0:14:19.

What a night ladies and gentlemen.  Traci Brooks is back safe and sound and despite the loss here tonight, Michael Shane has to be happy with that as he looks forward to facing Samoa Joe once more in singles action for the Great Lakes Heavyweight title, this time in a ladder match three weeks from tonight.  As for next week however, we'll see Josh Abercrombie finally get his hands on Delirious, Tank Toland will face one half of the tag team champions in Hector Garza, Roadkill faces Shannon Moore, and apparently Michael Shane has arranged for a very special main event next week... it;ll be Samoa Joe... one on one... with the muscle of the Age of Shane, Chris Masters!  Masters has proven himself to be a useful asset since Shane brought him in and possessing great physical strength.  Joe is no red headed step child, but we've seen Chris Masters rip apart a steel cage with his bare hands.  Plus we'll hear from GLWF Television Champion Alex Shelley.  Thats all next week on GLWF Action TV!  We'll see you then!

If you ask me (and you didn't) I think Traci Brooks may have takin a likeing to one Samoa Joe. Why else would she not allow them to stump a hole in the man that kidnaped her Hmmmm? The main event was all that and then some, You gotta love Kennedy even in a loss he claims victory.

Good Show, me want more!

For pete's sake, a loss to Ernest Miller for Abercrombie! :-P

At least it was called for by the storyline. I'm really torn as to who I'd like to see come out on top of a Delirious vs. Abercrombie match...so you've got me there.

Don't really care for either Ron Killings or Ken Kennedy, I'm suprised by the ending of the match though...I hate the self announcing thing, is he still doing that in real life too?

I think Bobby Lashley is eh...and I dig Mistico, so I was not happy to see him loose, but it makes sense in this case.
