DroppinTresSon | Posted on 03/23/06 at 09:18:55 Yeah guys, I'm starting a new circuit which I'm planning on posting on here, and I was wondering... Do u guys think it's better to start out with a PPV to get everything started, or is it better to start out with regular shows? |
j5eR | Posted on 03/23/06 at 22:16:13 It depends on what you're looking for. Personally, I like to start with about 2-4 cards first. (which in my timeframe is 2 weeks, with 2 shows a week). This way you can set up the PPV, and title tournaments you'll be having, or if there's a battle roayl for th title its a good change to set the contestants. Also it can give you a couple weeks to have some fueds begin, someone costnig someone a title shot at the PPV. I find its the best way to get the PPV lined up keeping the undercard still focused. Its your call afterall. LeVeRRe |
Rick Garrard | Posted on 03/24/06 at 04:46:43 I tend to run my circuits with about 5 cards (weeks) between PPVs. While I can't say that I've ever started with a PPV, I have had one roughly the second card then again on the eighth card, holding to my five cards between to build hype. That being said, I could easily have dropped the first card on a couple of my circuits and no one would have noticed, thusly starting with the "PPV" show first. |
Unright | Posted on 03/29/06 at 03:04:07 What I've found to be a big help sometimes in starting a circuit... Use the Matchmaker plugin and just sim about 5 cards. Look at the results of those 5 cards and you should be able to get a few storylines started. You can later delete them and wipe the rankings if you want. This way your first 'official' card has a little more backstory to it. Booking-wise I think it's easier to take over an existing fed than to cold start a new one. Especially if, like me, you've cold started so many that you've burned out a lot of your original ideas. |
