[Jose Maximo interfered against Spanky.]

("Medal" plays to the start the show as Kurt Angle walks down the aisle, North American Title belt around his waist. The fans chant "You suck" along with the music, and Angle yells at them, threatening to hit a couple. Eventually, he reaches the ring and steps through the ropes. He does the Olympic Skip and gets a mic.)

KA: I just want to welcome all of you to this GWA show. Later tonight, you're going to see that disgusting, plodding brawler Taz lose to a true wrestler in Chris Jericho. That's because there are basic rules in this world of ours: you can't eat before swimming, look both ways before you cross the street, never get involved in a land war in Asia, and most importantly, a good fighter will NEVER beat a good wrestler. Oh, it's true. And that's all you are Taz. A fighter. You use punches, you use forearms, you use illegal choke holds. But you don't wrestle. Suplexes won't make you better than me. All the dirty tricks you have will not make you better than an Olympic gold medallist.

(The crowd boos. Angle shrugs it off.)

KA: It doesn't matter whether you people like it or not. There's a reason why a man like me is the GWA North American champion. And that's because I am the pinnacle of wrestling. I can take any man and bring them down to the mat and make them squeal like a pig. You want proof Taz? Look at what I did to the Rock. I took all his punches, I took his flashy moves...but I won. I won by taking his brute force and turning it into my favor. And that's exactly what I'm going to do with you. But I'll show you just what you're in for. I'll put out an open challenge to anyone in the back that I have never faced in the GWA for this belt. But you shouldn't think of this as an opportunity. No, you should just think of this as a beating.

(Angle takes off the belt and hands it to the attendant as he waits for his opponent. "Daylight" by Aesop Rock plays as Chavo Guerrero Jr. runs down the aisle. He's had some success since knocking his uncle Eddie out of the GWA, but this is certainly the biggest match of his career. Chavo slides under the ropes and the match is on.)

[Kurt Angle vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr.]

Angle immediately charges at Chavo, who takes him down with a drop-toe hold and clobbers him with some forearms to the back. Angle though lifts him up and slams him to the mat. He hits a series of swinging punches to the head as Chavo tries to cover up. Angle brings Chavo up and then uses a double-leg takedown to send Chavo face-first to the mat. He rubs Chavo's face into the mat, but the ref makes him break it up quickly. He argues a little, then brings Chavo back up. Chavo rolls Angle up for a near fall. Both men pop up and Chavo catches Angle with a knee to the stomach to knock him down. He puts him in a headlock, but Angle quickly gets out of it and applies a hammerlock. Both men rise to their feet and Angle runs into the corner, making Chavo hit hard chest-first. Angle lets go of the hold and then pops Chavo with a lariat to the back of the head. Chavo crumples in the corner and Angle grabs him by the waist. He then lifts him out with a release German suplex! Chavo's out of it and Angle takes down his straps. He goes for the Ankle Lock, but Chavo manages to kick him away. Chavo gets to his feet and fires a couple punches to rock Angle and runs into the ropes. He comes back and scores with a flying clothesline. He makes the cover, but Angle kicks out at two. Chavo brings Angle up and keels him over with a kick to the midsection. He hits a kick to the head and follows with a lariat, but Angle ducks under it and grabs him from behind. He lifts him up and hits a German suplex, but keeps his hands locked. He brings Chavo up one more time and hits another German suplex, releasing it this time. He stomps Chavo in the head and then lifts him up, grabbing him around the waist. He hits a waistlock suplex, almost dropping Chavo on his head. He then walks over and applies the Ankle Lock. Chavo is just barely conscious and doesn't respond as the ref lifts his arm three times.

Kurt Angle defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr. when Chavo Jr. passed out in the Ankle Lock in 0:07:30.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Kurt Angle retained the GWA North American Title.)

Chavo tried his hardest, but he was just no match for the Olympic champion on this night. Angle looks pleased at his handiwork and leaves the ring to get his title back from the attendant. He raises it in the air and lets out a big "WHOO" as he grabs a microphone.

KA: All right Taz, let's see you try and beat that!

He puts the mic down and then heads to the back, raising his arms the entire time.

(After that, the camera cuts to the SAT's locker room. Both Maximos are just hanging out with Red.)

Joel: Are you sure you're all right? That was a crazy move you pulled last week.

Jose: I know. Red Star Pressing CIMA on top of a bunch of chairs?

Red: I'm fine. And more importantly, I showed CIMA that he's not just going to get away with doing whatever he wants anymore. Rey can't defend himself now, so I have to do it for him and all the other Cruiserweights he's tried to take out.

Jose: Think you're ready for the match at Fallout?

Red: I think so. I've taken on everyone I could so far, and I've only lost once: to Angle, and I took him to the limit. CIMA's a good wrestler, but I think I can handle him.

Voice: And why wouldn't you, you completely stole my move.

Joel: What?

(Liquid Sticks walk into the frame. Deranged's hair is not combed at all and Spanky stands a little behind him.)

Deranged: You heard me. The Code Red? Pssh. That's just the Blueprint with a crappy name.

Red: Whatever man.

Deranged: You say you take on everybody, but you're ducking the two of us. Just like your friends back there are ducking us.

Jose: Bring it on you two. Any time, any place.

Joel: We've been waiting to get our hands on you.

Spanky: We've got better things to do than to smoke you two.
Deranged: I see what you did there. Well done sir.
Spanky: Why thank you.

Joel: Better like what?

Deranged: Better like that. *points to the Cruiserweight Title*

Red: You want a shot at me?

Deranged: Of course. Who knows, maybe when you wrestle me, you'll see another move you want to completely rip off. But I'm pretty sure you'll just be looking at the lights.

Red: I'll accept for next week, but only because I'm looking forward to shutting you up. But don't think that just because you have the shot, that you're coming anywhere close to winning.

(Red takes the belt and walks out of the room. The SAT and Liquid Sticks have a staredown for a couple seconds before Deranged gives them the finger and they leave the room too. The camera follows Red, who walks down a hallway and turns...hitting CIMA in the chest.)

Red: Come to threaten me too?

(CIMA shakes his head no, but then makes the "that belt is mine" motion. He looks like he's about to say something when someone streaks in and tackles him! The man hits him with a repeated number of punches and the camera moves in to show that it's Jerry Lynn! Red looks as though he's thinking about interfering in this, but decides to walk away. Lynn punches away at CIMA some more before GWA officials break things up. As they're leading Lynn away, the camera cuts back to CIMA, who has a huge smile on his face.)

(The camera cuts back to the ring where "Paint it Black" by the Tea Party plays as AJ Styles walks out to the entryway. Both Styles and Christian will be in singles matches tonight against the Tag Team Champions, Chris Benoit and Ken Shamrock, with the rest of the Dynasty barred from ringside. Styles hops over the top rope and taunts the fans. He stretches on the ropes as he waits for his opponent.

"Them Bones" by Alice in Chains then plays to bring out Ken Shamrock. Shamrock intently walks down the aisle, periodically hitting himself in the face with forearms. He's had his share of trouble with the Dynasty, including losing to Christian in the North American Title Tournament. Now he's looking to get some measure of revenge.)

[AJ Styles vs. Ken Shamrock]

They lock up, but Shamrock lifts Styles up and takes him down to the mat. He gets on top of Styles and pummels him for a little bit until Styles brings his foot up to kick Shamrock in the back of the head. Styles gets to his feet and whips Shamrock into the ropes. He drops to the mat as Shamrock runs back over him, then pops up and hits a backflip dropkick. Shamrock hits the mat hard and Styles covers for two. He brings Shamrock up and whips him into the corner. He follows in with a lariat and hits a couple forearms to the chest. Shamrock wakes up though and grabs Styles and throws him into the corner. He pelts him with a series of kicks to the stomach and the thigh along with some forearms to the head. He eventually pulls Styles out and hits him with a kneelift. Styles crumples to the mat and Shamrock makes the cover for a near fall. Styles tries to escape the ring, but Shamrock grabs his foot and pulls him back. He goes for the Ankle Lock, but Styles rolls forward to break it. Both men get up and Styles hits him with a series of punches to the head, but Shamrock hits a kneesmash to break Styles's momentum. He runs into the ropes and goes for a Yakuza kick, but Styles ducks underneath. Shamrock turns around into a discus clothesline from Styles. AJ immediately runs into the ropes and jumps on him with a somersault splash. He hooks the far leg, but Shamrock gets a shoulder up. He grabs Styles's arms and rolls back to get him in pinning position with a crucifix, but Styles kicks out at two. Styles quickly gets up, but Shamrock sweeps his legs out from under him and then jumps on him. He grinds Styles's face into the mat and drops a knee into his back. He brings Styles to his feet and pops him with a European uppercut that knocks him back to the ropes. Shamrock hits Styles with a clothesline to knock him over the top rope, but Styles manages to land on his feet and pull out Shamrock's legs from under him. Styles hops on the apron and then jumps onto Shamrock with a slingshot splash. He makes the cover, but Shamrock's too close to the ropes. Styles brings Shamrock up and hits him with a couple chops and goes for a spin kick, but Shamrock blocks it. He grabs Styles and takes him to the mat with a belly-to-belly suplex. He makes the cover, but Styles kicks out for the near fall. He brings Styles back up and whips him into the ropes. He jumps for a Frankensteiner, but Styles holds onto the ropes, making Shamrock crash to the mat. Styles rolls Shamrock up, but then lifts him, putting him in position for the Styles Clash. Shamrock fights it as best he can, but Styles falls forward to drop him with the Clash. He then rolls him over for the three.

AJ Styles pinned Ken Shamrock with the Styles Clash in 0:08:49.
Rating: *** 1/2

Styles was one step ahead of Shamrock in this match and it got him the win. Christian will be looking to have a similar result against Chris Benoit later in the show. The match for the GWA Tag Team Titles has certainly gotten more interesting as Shamrock will be looking to have revenge.

(The camera cuts to the back where Taz is standing by.)

Taz: Chris Jericho, last week you made the biggest mistake of your life. Because that's when you and Rhyno decided to jump me and try and take me out of my match at Fallout. I don't take kindly to that sort of thing. The way I was brought up, if someone tried to mug you from behind, you took them out so that it would never happen again. And that's exactly what I'm going to do tonight Chris Jericho. Because tonight, we have a match. Tonight, I have the go-ahead from the government, from the GWA, and from society at large to do whatever the **** I want to you. If you end up with a broken leg, people will say: "It was wrestling. It happens." If I break your neck, people will say that it comes with the territory. You may think that you control your own destiny, but that's not the case. I control your fate Jericho. I control your life. It is up to me and me alone whether you die right here in Denver or you live past tonight. And I'm not feeling all that nice right now. So beat me if you can Jericho...but survive ONLY if I let you.

(The camera cuts from Taz's face to Chris Benoit and Ken Shmarock's dressing room where Shamrock is throwing the chairs around.)

KS: Goddammit!

CB: Relax Ken. So you lost the match. It doesn't mean we can't bounce back at Fallout. And we'll get another chance to get our hands on Styles and Christian.

KS: Yeah, that's a good point. I'll get another chance to use their eyes for jelly, their toes for toothpicks, their...

(Benoit is looking at Shamrock strangely.)

KS: Why do you always look at me like that?

CB: Never mind. Tonight, we each have a singles match against one of them. You lost your by a slim margin. All that means is that I have to win mine and tie things up. And I know I can do that.

KS: Definitely. But watch out for Christian swinging a chair.

CB: Yeah, I'll look for that. But I know these guys. Even though there can't be any interference during the match, something will probably happen after, so I need you to have my back, all right?

KS: No problem. I'll be more than happy to snap whatever's in front of us.

(The camera fades from there to the ring where "Destiny is Dead" by Anathema plays as Tajiri walks down the aisle with his ribs taped up. He claps along with the fans as he walks down the aisle. A video package airs of Mexico's Most Wanted brutally attacking him, Quiet Storm and Trinity last week. Tajiri managed to escape with just bruised ribs, but Storm and Trinity will be out at least a couple weeks. Some mystery man's challenged Tajiri to a match though, which is why he's out here. He steps through the ropes and waits for his opponent.

After a few seconds, "Drought" by Pelican begins playing. The announcers are wondering who this could be when Kanyon steps through the curtain! He left the GWA over concerns of his safety after CIMA attacked him in a parking lot a couple months ago, but apparently he's come to terms with that. He has a mic in his hand and talks as he walks down the aisle.)

Kanyon: That's right everybody. Kanyon has returned to the GWA! But as I looked forward to reteaming with my tag partner, Quiet Storm, and then take the tag division by...well...storm, I watch last week and see him repeatedly hit in the head and face with metal objects by a guy in a pumpkin suit. So I say to myself, Tajiri isn't up to the task. I say that not only does the GWA need me, not only do the fans need to see Kanyon, but my buddy, Quiet Storm does. Cause after all, who betta than Kanyon?

(Tajiri furrows his brow and scratches chin for a few seconds, seeming deep in thought. He then leans over to Kanyon's mic and says...)

Tajiri: ...everybody?

Kanyon: No! No! Goddammit!

(Kanyon stomps over to the ropes and tosses the mic out of the ring. Just like that, the bell rings.)

[Tajiri vs. Kanyon]

Tajiri has a puzzled look as Kanyon walks toward him. Kanyon pops him with a forearm and then hits him with a couple knees to the stomach. He whips him into the ropes and catches him with a lariat. Tajiri gets up slowly, but Kanyon kicks him in the stomach and drives him down with a sitdown faceslam. He makes the cover, but Tajiri kicks out. Kanyon brings Tajiri up and starts to whip him into the ropes, but Tajiri reverses it and kicks Kanyon across the knees as he comes back. Kanyon falls on his face and Tajiri immediately follows it with a huge stomp to the head. He rolls Kanyon over and sits him up before popping him with a soccer kick that leaves Kanyon writhing in pain. Kanyon gets to his feet, but Tajiri rocks him with chops. Kanyon gets to the corner, but that allows Tajiri to hit him with a series of kicks to the stomach. Kanyon manages to stop this with a poke to the eyes. Tajiri staggers back and Kanyon lifts him onto his shoulders before spinning him with a flapjack to send him crashing to the mat. Kanyon makes the cover, but Tajiri kicks out again. Kanyon brings Tajiri up and brings him down with a vertical suplex. He hooks the leg, but Tajiri kicks out at two. Tajiri slowly reaches his feet and Kanyon pops him in the face a couple times before whipping him into the ropes. Tajiri manages to bounce off and score with a handspring elbow though. He's too out of it to capitalize though, allowing Kanyon to knock him down with a kick to the head. Tajiri gets to his feet, but Kanyon puts him in position for a power bomb. He lifts him up, but Tajiri slides down his back to get free. Kanyon turns around and Tajiri pops him with a savate kick. Kanyon goes down immediately and Tajiri covers, hooking the leg to get the three.

Tajiri pinned Kanyon after a savate kick in 0:07:12.
Rating: *** 1/4

Tajiri gets up after the match and raises his arms in the air as Kanyon slowly gets up. He stares at Tajiri for a few seconds then extends his hand. Tajiri decides to bow instead and it looks like Kanyon's about to return the bow when his eyes go wide and he quickly slides out of the ring. Tajiri looks at him puzzled as Kanyon leaves through the crowd, so he doesn't see Damien 666 blast him from behind with a lariat. Halloween and Jake Roberts follow and enter into a three-on-one beating. They bring Tajiri up and Damien hits an inverted atomic drop as Halloween bounces off the ropes and catches him with a kick to the face. Tajiri goes down in a heap and Halloween immediately brings him up and puts him in a pendulum. Damien climbs to the top rope and jumps off with a flying elbowdrop, completing the Armed Robbery. Halloween drops Tajiri to the mat as Roberts gets a mic.

JR: It still seems we get no respect. No matter how many teams we leave broken in our wake, no matter what we do, you people still see us as freaks. You still call us a painted sideshow act. You still call us a man in a pumpkin suit. You still call us a drunk. But honestly, what you think of us doesn't matter. Because our actions will continue regardless. We will still march through the ranks. We will still cause wanton destruction and there is absolutely nothing that anyone can do to stop us.

The JumboTron 5056 then shows Commissioner Tully Blanchard's face on the screen. He's sitting in his office.

TB: Wait just a second Jake. I've gotten a little tired of all the intrference in the tag division, not just by Mexico's Most Wanted, but by generally all of the teams. So at Fallout, I've decided to have the first ever Scramble match in the GWA pitting four teams against each other: Liquid Sticks, the Havana Pitbulls, the Spanish Announce Team, and the Young Lions. Now Jake, I know you're wondering where Mexico's Most Wanted fits in. Well, your boys already have a match at Fallout. Because after your attack last week, Quiet Storm and Tajiri have both wanted a match with you two. And they're going to get it.

JR: Well boys, what do you think about that?

Halloween and Damien look at each other, then start stomping away at Tajiri again.

TB: Oh, and in case I forgot, you two have a match starting right now.

("Bulls on Parade" by Rage Against the Machine plays as the Havana Pitbulls run down the aisle and hit the ring. Roberts quickly moves out of the ring, while the ref tries to get Tajiri out of the ring. The Havana Pitbulls came extremely close to winning the Tag Team Titles last week and they're looking to build on that tonight.)

[Mexico's Most Wanted vs. The Havana Pitbulls]

Reyes and Romero immediately go after Mexico's Most Wanted and start a four-man brawl. Romero pelts Damien with kicks to the thigh, but Damien gets in a kneesmash to stop that and hammers him in the back. Reyes and Halloween trade forearms and eventually spill out of the ring. Damien clubs Romero with forearms to the back to force Romero to the mat. He hits a series of stomps to the head and makes the cover, but only gets two. He brings Romero to his feet and whips him into the corner. He charges in, but Romero sticks a foot in his face. Damien staggers back and Romero knocks him down with a high knee. Damien gets to his feet quickly, but Romero immediately picks him up and slams him to the mat. He runs into the ropes and hits a kneedrop, covering for two. He tags in Reyes, who comes in and kicks Damien hard in the stomach to double him over. Romero hits a kneelift to knock him down and then leaves the ring. Reyes makes the cover and Damien kicks out again. Both men get up and Damien rocks Reyes with a hard right hand. Reyes tries to fight back, but Damien knocks him to the mat with a headbutt. He tags in Halloween, who climbs to the top rope. Damien slams Reyes to the mat as Halloween comes off with a flying legdrop. He hits Reyes hard and makes the cover, but Romero manages to make the save. The ref tries to get Romero out of the ring, allowing Halloween and Damien to both choke away at Reyes. Romero tries to save him, but the ref is still forcing him out. Eventually, they stop and the illegal men leave the ring. Halloween brings Reyes up, but Reyes hits a few forearms and goes behind Halloween, dropping him on his head with a belly-to-back suplex. Halloween rolls over and Reyes makes the cover, but Halloween gets his shoulder up just in time. Reyes whips Halloween into the ropes, and Damien tags in Halloween as he passes. Reyes doesn't see the tag and picks Halloween up and hits him with a backbreaker. He holds him for Romero, who is on the top rope and jumps off to hit the Cuban Missile Crisis! Halloween goes down hard, but Damien immediately grabs Romero and throws him over the top rope and to the floor. Reyes spins Damien around and hits him with a series of forearms. He grabs Damien for a waistlock suplex, but Damien gets out of his grasp with a headbutt. Reyes drops to a knee, holding his face and Damien immediately grabs him and drops him to the mat with a DDT! He rolls him over and hooks both legs to get the three count.

Mexico's Most Wanted defeated the Havana Pitbulls when Damien pinned Reyes after a DDT in 0:08:15.
Rating: ***

Roberts pulls Halloween out of the ring and heads to the back laughing. Damien meets him on the ramp and heads to the back as well. It was a little harder than they're used to, but Mexico's Most Wanted did manage to pull out the win, but the Havana Pitbulls certainly have nothing to be ashamed of. Romero rolls back in the ring and checks on Reyes. Both of these teams have important matches coming up at Fallout. It will certainly be interesting to see how the first Scramble match in the GWA turns out. Also, what shape will Quiet Storm and Tajiri be in when they face Mexico's Most Wanted. They are certainly not a team that you would to face at anything less than 100%.

(We then go to the back where Christopher Daniels is standing by.)

CD: All week long, GWA staffers and random people on the street have been asking me why I'm challenging Edge. Why, with my match against Elix Skipper so close, would I put in the large amount of effort needed to win a title. And the answer is quite simple. Let me give you all a history lesson. Since the GWA's inception, Elix Skipper really had one job in Triple X: beat Edge and get the T.V. Title. And that is something that he just could not do. Time and time again he tried. He tried to get in Edge's head. He tried to beat him up. He tried to take it from in the ring. All these attempts bore no fruit.

But this is where I show where I, the Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels, am superior to you Elix. This is where I prove that I didn't...I don't need you or Low Ki. Because when I face Edge in the middle of the ring, I'll bring him down and I'll beat him just with my own skill and the Last Rites. And in doing so, I will exorcise the taint that your failures have brought me. And as an added bonus, I will be the GWA T.V. champion.

(The camera then cuts to Adam Bramledge, who has the members of the Dynasty for an interview.)

AB: Ladies and gentlemen, I am here with the Dynasty, who have promised to take the GWA by storm. To try and do that, Chris Jericho and Rhyno jumped Taz from behind to try and take him out of the match for the North American Title at Fallout.

CJ: Whoa Jeeves. Jumped is such an ugly word. I prefer the word "persuaded". We attempted to persuade Spaz through the spoken word to give up his match for Fallout so that it could be filled by someone who deserved it, namely me.

AB: Even if your version is true...

CJ: And furthermore Jeeves, I'm thinking that Spaz took things a little too personally, though this is not surprising considering his name.

AB: But his name's Taz. And mine is Adam, not Jeeves.

CJ: *blank stare* ...whatever Jeeves. But it seems like Spaz is too stupid to listen to reason, so I'm just going to have to show him the difference between us in the ring tonight. Because that's where the Dynasty is making our living. Sure we branch out. I've got music and TV deals. AJ and Christian are looking into movies. I hear Rhyno's getting into the venture capital industry. But where it starts is the ring. And after I beat Spaz tonight, I'll catapult myself to the very top of the rankings, which is exactly where I should be. Then, I'll just be one step away from the North American Title and changing the GWA and the world at large forever.

AB: ...okay. So A...

CJ: But that's enough about me. Let's talk about AJ Styles and Christian.

Christian: What an excellent idea. I don't know if the world at large realizes this or not, but you are looking at the next GWA Tag Team champions. I know the naysayers...the internet journalists may write that we've faced Benoit and Shamrock before and lost, but they don't look at circumstances. Do they AJ?

AS: Of course not. Because the first time, it was at the end of the Tag Team Title Tournament. They got cupcakes on their side of the bracket while we went through the real competition, so they got lucky and beat us.

Christian: Exactly. And then in the rematch, they received what may be the luckiest break of all time.

AS: Plus we felt sorry for Benoit because of his concussion.

Christian: Of course. We're not animals, are we? But the fact remains that they had to have the luck of the gods on their sides twice in order to win. And luck? Luck runs out all the time. So AJ, let me ask you a question.

AS: Shoot.

Christian: Who do you think deserves the Tag Team Titles more? A gap-toothed Canadian and a perpetually punch-drunk fighter or the best pure athlete in wrestling and the most charismatic man in the business?

AS: My pick would be the second team.

CJ: As would mine.

Christian: That's right. We deserve those titles and at Fallout, we will be getting what's ours. Because that is how we roll.

AB: Interesting. And Rhy...

CJ: Well, Rhyno, do you have anything to say to Edge?

Rhyno: Edge, time and time again, you've weaseled your way out of fighting me. I know you're scared of me. The whole world knows it. And last week, I reminded you why. You won your match. You were feeling good about yourself. And then...GORE GORE GORE! Just like that, you were nothing but a stain on the canvas. And at Fallout, I'm going to destroy you one more time and I'll take the T.V. Title that should have already been mine. Because when we meet, I'll do what I'm here in the Dynasty to do: beat people up until they just can't move anymore.

AB: I'm not even going to bother trying to ask a question this time.

CJ: What the hell are you getting paid for then? Get out of here!

(Jericho points offscreen and Bramledge shakes his head before leaving the shot.)

CJ: At Fallout, the Dynasty is going to begin the takeover of the wrestling world. And trust me when I say, that nothing will never...ever...be the same...again.

(The lights dim as "O Fortuna" by Therion plays. Spotlights roam through the crowd before stopping on the entryway as the King of Old School Steve Corino steps through the curtain. The spotlight follows him as he jogs down the ramp and gets on the apron, staring at the fans before stepping through the ropes. Corino has had a lot of success thus far in the GWA and he's looking to continue that tonight.

The lights come back on and "Final Resistance" by Dark Tranquillity plays to bring out Jerry Lynn. Lynn's come back to the GWA focused on taking out CIMA, and even turned down a match last week for the Cruiserweight Title because "Red wasn't CIMA". Ironically, that led to Red and the SAT facing CIMA and Liquid Sticks. Lynn is facing Corino because Tully Blanchard has told him that he won't give him any favors unless he fulfills all his commitments.)

[Steve Corino vs. Jerry Lynn]

They start to lock up, but Corino quickly gets in an eye poke to stagger Lynn. He picks Lynn up and slams him to the mat and follows it up with a few stomps to the head. He brings Lynn to his feet, but Lynn breaks free of his grasp and takes him to the mat with a hiptoss. He quickly hits a legdrop and covers for two. Both men get up and Lynn hits a couple chops to stun Corino. He whips him into the ropes and knocks him down with a shoulderblock. He runs into the ropes and goes for a huge elbowdrop, but Corino rolls out of the way. Lynn writhes in pain and Corino grabs him by the head and smashes him with a few knees to the head. Lynn slowly gets up and Corino bounces off the ropes before taking him down with a swinging neckbreaker. Lynn holds his neck and Corino covers, but Lynn kicks out at two. Both men get up and Corino punches Lynn in the face, but Lynn responds with a forearm smash. He hits a couple more and then whips him into the ropes. He takes Corino down with a spinning backbreaker, then props him up and dropkicks him in the back of the head. Corino holds his head, but Lynn brings him up and runs into the corner with him. He manages to drop Corino with a swinging bulldog and quickly makes the cover, but Corino gets a foot on the ropes. Lynn slams Corino to the mat and climbs to the top rope. He jumps off the top with a legdrop, but Corino moves out of the way! Lynn lands hard and holds his hip while Corino regains his bearings. Lynn gets up slowly and Corino pops him with a superkick to lay him out. He makes the cover, but Lynn gets his shoulder up just in time. He brings Lynn up and whips him into the ropes, connecting with a leg lariat. Lynn doesn't stay down, but Corino grabs him for a fisherman suplex. Lynn blocks it and rolls him up in a small package for a near fall. Both men get up and Lynn clobbers Corino with a lariat. He brings Corino to his feet and brings him down with a tornado DDT. He makes the cover, but Corino gets his shoulder up for the near fall. Lynn argues with the ref for a little, then signals for the Cradle Piledriver. As he turns however, he notices that CIMA is standing at the top of the ramp. He yells at CIMA and gestures for him to come to the ring. CIMA stares at the ring impassively, but then points behind Lynn. Lynn turns around and is immediately nailed with a lariat from Corino. Corino makes the cover and hooks the leg for three.

Steve Corino pinned Jerry Lynn after a lariat in 0:08:17.

Corino gets to his feet and has his hand raised by the referee. He notices that CIMA's making his way down the aisle though and quickly makes his exit. CIMA climbs to the top rope and jumps off, nailing Lynn in the chest with a flying double foot stomp! Lynn gasps for air as CIMA crouches over him. He lifts Lynn's head up by the hair and then slams it down to the mat. The crowd then cheers as Red runs down the aisle and slides into the ropes to make the save. CIMA impassively looks at Red, then calmly steps out through the ropes. He walks to the back, wagging his finger at Red as he does so.

(We cut to the back where Lance Storm bursts into Tully Blanchard's office.)

LS: I want a match with Chris Jericho at Fallout.

TB: Still haven't had enough, eh?

LS: I know I can beat him. And when we get in the ring, that's exactly what I'll do.

TB: Fine. But in exchange, I don't want you to touch Chris Jericho next week. Just like with Angle and Taz, I want your next physical confrontation to be at Fallout.

LS: And if I decide to attack him anyway?

TB: Nothing will happen. Just consider this me asking you a favor.

LS: I'll think about it then. But I make no guarantees.

(Storm leaves and Blanchard shakes his head before leaning back in his chair. The camera then cuts to the ring where "God Hates a Coward" by Tomahawk plays as Christian walks to the ring. He winks at some fans as he walks down the aisle. He steps through the ropes and stretches on the ropes. AJ Styles managed to defeat Ken Shamrock earlier in the program. The challengers can get a major momentum boost if they can beat both of the Tag champions in singles matches this close to Fallout.

"Whatever" by Our Lady Peace then plays as Chris Benoit walks out with his half of the GWA Tag Team Titles wrapped around his waist. Benoit's had issues with pretty much all the members of the Dynasty since the GWA began. This match as well as the tag defense at Fallout can go a long way into ending the feud. Benoit stretches his wrists as he steps through the ropes. He takes off his belt and hands it to the ref before warming up for the match.)

[Christian vs. Chris Benoit]

They circle each other before locking up. Christian quickly moves into a wristlock, leaving Benoit in a slightly compromising position. He lets go and hits a hard kick to Benoit's ribs to double him over and follows up with a forearm to the face. He whips him into the ropes, but Benoit comes back with a lariat to drag him down. Christian gets up and Benoit knocks him back down with a running elbowsmash. He makes the quick cover, but only gets two. Christian immediately scrambles out of the ring and Benoit stays inside to wait for him. Christian tries to calm down and turns to yell at some fans. When he faces the ring again, Benoit dives at him with a tope suicida! Christian is completely wiped out and Benoit is a little slow in getting up. He rolls Christian into the ring and follows him in. He's slow making the cover and Christian manages to kick out just in time. Benoit picks Christian up and slams him to the mat, then makes a cutthroat motion. He climbs to the top rope and jumps off with a flying headbutt, but Christian's able to move out of the way! Benoit hits the mat hard and rolls in pain. Christian gets up and brings Benoit to his feet. He goes for the Unprettier, but Benoit shoves him into the corner. Christian staggers back and Benoit grabs him for a German suplex, but Christian pops him with a couple elbows to knock him back down to the mat. Christian makes the cover and puts his feet on the ropes, but Benoit still gets out. Both men get up and Christian pops Benoit in the face to rock him. He bounces into the ropes and goes for a lariat, but Benoit ducks under and immediately takes him down for the Crippler Crossface! Christian scrambles to the ropes to get free. Both men get up and Christian hits Benoit with a forearm, but Benoit comes back with a couple chops. He whips Christian into the ropes and knocks him down again with a running elbowsmash. Benoit takes a second to pause from his repeated head traumas allowing Christian to get back up. Benoit walks toward him, but Christian rolls him up in a small package. Benoit kicks out at two and both men pop up. They both immediately run and hit each other with a clothesline. They lie on the mat for a few seconds, then Benoit rolls over and drapes an arm over Christian. The ref counts, but Christian gets his shoulder up at two. Benoit gets to his feet and tries to bring Christian up for a snap suplex, but Christian blocks it. Christian hits a few punches to the stomach to stagger Benoit and hits him with a DDT. He climbs to the top rope and jumps off with a frog splash, but Benoit gets his knees up. Christian rolls over in pain and Benoit quickly moves over and applies the Crippler Crossface! Christian immediately taps out.

Chris Benoit made Christian submit to the Crippler Crossface in 0:09:20.
Rating: **** 1/4

Christian decided to immediately tap out instead of risking hurting his chances to win the Tag Team Titles at Fallout. Benoit lets go of the hold and raises his arms in the air, but Christian clips him from behind! He stomps on him repeatedly as AJ Styles runs down the aisle to help out. Christian lifts Benoit up so Styles can get in a better shot, but Ken Shamrock races down the aisle and clears the ring. The Dynasty members laugh and taunt the champs as they walk up the ramp. Shamrock, meanwhile, checks on Benoit.

From there, we go to pre-taped comments from Edge.

Edge: Rhyno, I don't know who you're trying to fool, but it's not working. You knew you couldn't beat me on your own, so you joined the Dynasty to give that little extra push. But you know what? You still can't beat me. Because I've beaten every single person that I've stepped in the ring against in the GWA. There is not a man alive that can say that they beat me in a GWA ring. And at Fallout, I'm sure that you won't be able to either. So all your supposed mind-games...your sneak attacks, they don't work against me. They don't bring me down because all they do is remind me just how small and pathetic you really are. You've used all your trump cards Rhyno. You're out of excuses. And once I beat you at Fallout, I never want to see your face anywhere near my T.V. Title again.

And as for you Christopher Daniels, I see you want my title. But you're not going to get it. You see, me and the T.V. Title were completely made for each other. And I'm never giving it up. Not to you or to anyone else. If you have something to prove tonight, you just won't do it.

(The camera goes back to the ring where "Head Like a Hole" by Nine Inch Nails plays as Christopher Daniels walks to the entryway. He sticks his arms out, then quickly pushes the hood of his cloak off his head. He walks down the aisle and steps through the ropes, throwing his robe over the top rope and to the floor. He's challenged Edge, the T.V. champion, in order to show that he can beat him, something that Elix Skipper could not do over the course of a month. Plus, if he does win, he gets the added bonus of being T.V. champion.

"Ticks & Leeches" by Tool plays as Edge walks out and holds his title in the air. He runs down the aisle and slides underneath the ropes. He gets on the turnbuckle and smiles at the fans and holds the belt up in the air again. He drops back down and takes off his trenchcoat. Edge has held onto the T.V. Title for an extremely long time, sometimes taking extreme measures in order to keep it. He'll be facing Rhyno at Fallout, but if he overlooks Chris Daniels, he could end up losing the belt here.)

[Christopher Daniels vs. Edge]

They lock up and Edge immediately uses his size advantage to force Daniels into the corner. He rams into him with a series of shoulderblocks to the stomach, but Daniels manages to stop one with a kneelift. Edge backs away and Daniels knocks him to the mat with a leg lariat. He makes the cover, but Edge easily kicks out. Daniels brings Edge up and hits a European uppercut before grabbing him. He goes for an STO, but Edge blocks it with an elbowsmash to the head. Daniels lets go and Edge knocks him down with a lariat. Daniels pops back up and Edge whips him into the ropes, knocking him down with a dropkick. He covers and grabs some tights, but Daniels still manages to get free. Edge brings Daniels to his feet and hammers him in the back with a forearm. He whips him into the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but Daniels ducks under. Edge turns around though and misses with a kick to the head. Daniels stops and turns, firing off a series of punches to knock Edge backward. He then grabs Edge and hits an STO in one smooth motion. He makes the cover, but Edge gets his shoulder up just in time. Daniels brings Edge up and slams him to the mat. He runs over to the corner and hops up the turnbuckle, jumping backward with the Best Moonsault Ever! However, Edge manages to get his knees up, making Daniels roll around on the ground. He gets up slowly and Edge kicks him in the stomach and goes for the Edge-a-cution, but Daniels holds onto the ropes so Edge can't hit it. He hits Edge with a few forearms to the chest to stagger him and then lifts him up, bringing him down hard with a spinebuster. He covers, hooking the leg, but Edge gets his shoulder up. Daniels drops a knee on Edge to mess him up and runs into the ropes for a big move. However, Elix Skipper runs down the aisle and trips him! Daniels quickly gets back to his feet and tries to get at Skipper through the middle rope. Skipper though punches Daniels in the face, making him stagger backward. He turns around and Edge hits him with a spear! Edge then makes the cover for three.

Edge pinned Christopher Daniels after a spear in 0:08:18.

(Edge retained the GWA T.V. Title.)
[Elix Skipper interfered against Christopher Daniels.]

Elix Skipper has gotten one over on Christopher Daniels yet again, this time costing him the T.V. Title! Skipper gets in the ring and taunts the fallen Daniels, but Edge hunches in the corner and measures him. He gets Skipper's attention and then wipes him out with a spear! Obviously he hasn't forgotten the repeated interference that Skipper had in his matches a little while back. Edge stands over Skipper and raises the T.V. Title when Rhyno runs down the aisle! Rhyno slides in the ring ready to do damage, but Edge quickly slides out of the ring and heads out through the crowd. Rhyno yells at Edge to be a man and come back to the ring when we cut to the back of the arena where Taz is WALKING for the main event match. Kurt Angle cuts him off.

Taz: What do you want?

KA: I just wanted to wish you luck. Since after all, you're going to need it.

Taz: Your plan didn't work. Your hired help didn't do the job. I'm still standing and I'm still going to choke you out.

KA: I don't know about that. Your match against Jericho isn't over yet, is it? Something unfortunate could happen between now and then. Oh, it's true.

Angle walks off as Taz glares at him. Taz vs. Jericho is next!

*break*

("Jesus Christ Pose" by Soundgarden plays as Chris Jericho walks to the entryway. He turns around and sticks his arms out for a few seconds before walking down the aisle for what may be his most important match in the GWA. If he can beat Taz, he can make a real case for getting a shot at the North American Title. He steps through the ropes and pumps himself up.

"Medal" then plays as Kurt Angle walks out. He points at Jericho, who points back and smiles, and then goes to the announce booth and sits down, grabbing a headset. He says that he's extremely interested in how this match will go.

"Swamp Thing" by Juno Reactor then plays as Taz walks down the aisle with a towel over his head. Taz wants revenge for the Dynasty jumping him last week, plus the match will serve as a good tuneup for his match for the North American Title at Fallout. He steps through the ropes and throws the towel over the top rope. He glares at both Angle and then Jericho, then walks to the middle of the ring to get the match started.

The ref is about to ring the bell, but "Master of Puppets" by Metallica plays as Doug Williams walks out with a steel chair in hand. He walks over to the announce table and sets up the chair, sitting down in it. The announcers ask him why he's there and he says just sitting there to make sure that Angle doesn't do anything. Angle of course plays dumb. The ref waits a few seconds to see if anyone else is coming out, then he starts the match.)

[Chris Jericho vs. Taz]

Jericho taunts Taz at the beginning of the match. Taz laughs along, but then punches Jericho in the face. He hits a couple forearms to the chest and whips him into the ropes. Jericho holds onto the ropes however and ducks outside of the ring to take a breather. Taz follows him out, but Jericho immediately enters the ring. Taz tries to grab Jericho's legs and pull him out, but Jericho manages to kick him off. Jericho backs up and Taz rolls in the ring, but Jericho immediately charges and hits him with a baseball slide to send him skidding to the floor. Jericho then distracts the ref as the rest of the Dynasty runs down to the ring. AJ Styles and Rhyno stomp away at Taz while Christian directs, but the ref notices the commotion and turns around. Coming to the natural conclusion about what's happening, he sends the Dynasty to the back. They protest, but this allows Taz to get up. Rhyno sees him, but is too late to stop Taz from knocking him into the ringpost. Rhyno staggers back up the aisle, having been knocked a little loopy. Styles and Christian decide to join him and help him to the back. Taz starts to head after them, but realizes that he's being counted out and climbs to the apron. However, Jericho runs into the ropes and hits Taz with a backspring dropkick to send him crashing into the guardrail. Jericho quickly leaves the ring and rolls Taz back in. He makes the cover and puts his feet on the ropes, getting two until the referee notices. The ref yells at him, but Jericho ignores it and brings Taz to his feet. He whips him into the ropes and knocks him down with a lariat. He quickly makes the cover, but Taz gets a shoulder up. Jericho throws a tantrum, then runs into the ropes and jumps with a flying forearm, but Taz ducks underneath. Jericho gets up slowly, but Taz is already on him and throws him to the mat with a T-Bone Tazplex. Taz makes the cover, but Jericho kicks out for the near fall. Taz brings Jericho to his feet and whips him hard into the corner, making Jericho back out. He grabs him from behind and goes for a German suplex, but Jericho manages to block it and hits a couple elbows to the face. He spins around and hits an enzuigiri to drop Taz to the mat. He rolls Taz over and puts a foot on chest, but Taz gets a shoulder up at two.

Taz starts to get to his feet, but Jericho kicks him hard in the head, bringing him down to one knee. Jericho climbs to the top rope and then jumps off with a flying dropkick, connecting with it and sending Taz flying backward. Jericho quickly gets up and runs into the ropes, jumping back with the Lionsault, but Taz gets his knees up! Jericho rolls around in pain as Taz slowly gets to his feet. Taz walks over, but Jericho responds with a forearm to the face. He hits another one and goes for a kick, but Taz catches the foot. He spins Jericho around a full turn and grabs him, snapping him down to the mat with a waistlock suplex. Jericho rolls over in pain and tries to crawl out of the ring, but Taz grabs him and pulls him up before hitting a release German suplex! He makes the cover, but Jericho gets his foot on the ropes. Undaunted, Taz brings Jericho up, but Jericho pokes him in the eye to take a breather. Jericho runs into the ropes and goes for another flying forearm, but Taz again ducks, leaving Jericho to hit the referee! Jericho gets up and backs into the corner as Taz checks on the ref. He gets up, but Jericho takes some steps forward and punts him in the crotch. Taz falls over like he's been shot, but the ref is still down. Jericho takes the opportunity to take the pad off a turnbuckle. Taz tries to reach his feet, but Jericho hits him with a stomp to the head. He brings Taz to his feet and whips him into the corner, but Taz reverses it. Jericho manages to stop his charge before he hits the exposed turnbuckle, but Taz charges in after him. Jericho sees him at the last second and moves out of the way so Taz hits the turnbuckle and falls to the mat. Jericho smirks and makes the cover, but the ref is still out. Jericho then brings Taz up and whips him into the opposite corner. Taz stumbles out and Jericho runs into the ropes, dropping him with a faceslam. Jericho does a war dance, but the crowd erupts as Lance Storm comes out of the crowd and enters the ring! Jericho runs into the ropes for the Lionsault, but he runs into Storm. He begs off and tries to back away, but Storm hits him with a series of punches to knock him down. Jericho gets up quickly and scrambles away, but runs right into Taz! Taz grabs him and snaps him down with a head-and-arm Tazplex. Storm leaves the ring and tries to wake up the referee as Taz slowly gets to his feet, fighting past the pain in his chest, and puts Jericho in the Tazmission! Jericho tries to reach the ropes, but Taz pulls back and wraps his legs around him. Storm finally gets the ref to look over at the two men in the ring, where he sees Jericho tapping furiously.

Taz made Chris Jericho submit to the Tazmission in 0:13:12.

[Lance Storm interfered against Chris Jericho.]
[AJ Styles interfered against Taz.]
[Rhyno interfered against Taz.]

The ref calls for the bell, but Taz keeps the Tazmission applied! Jericho starts fading as the referee tries to break it, but Taz finally lets go when Angle gets up from the announcer's table and walks toward the aisle. Doug Williams comes up from behind Angle, waiting for him to do anything. Storm immediately enters the ring and tries to get at Jericho, but the ref shields him. Taz points at Angle, who holds the North American Title up in the air. He points at the belt and then points at himself as the camera fades.

I always enjoy the "someone I've never faced before" angle, and Chavo certainly didn't embarrass himself at all, but no way Angle's losing the belt on the opening match of GWA TV.

A lot going on with the Cruiserweight Title stuff, and it was all high quality.  You have a very deep division right now and even if Red gets past CIMA, he's going to have plenty of challengers waiting for him.

Didn't expect Styles to beat Shamrock clean.  This leads me to believe that Benoit is winning later on.

Great promo from Taz.  I expect Jericho to be killed.

Not the best return in the world for Kanyon.  And I dunno if MMW is a team you wanna piss off, Tully Blanchard.

You do really great promos, by the way.  You do a great job at capturing the characters' voices, so kudos to you there.

Great match with Corino and Lynn, and you continue to build CIMA as an unstoppable force in the cruiserweight division.  I'm really looking forward to Red/CIMA.

Great match with Benoit and Christian as well, and I expected Benoit to get a win back from the champs.  I think that tag title match has the potential to be match of the night at Fallout.

Edge's reign as TV champion has been entertaining and dominant, and I hope he holds the title for awhile.  I don't see him losing the gold to Rhyno, but stranger things have happened.  And Skipper and Daniels really need to wrestle soon, before they interference each other to death. :)

A fantastic main event too that I had been looking forward to since your last show.  Taz needed to go over so I'm glad he did.  The match was hot, if not a tad overbooked.  But a lot of feuds were furthered and Fallout looks very good at this point.
americamamushiPosted on 08/06/06 at 22:34:37

Great way to open the show.  Angle may have talked some shit, but damned if he didn't back it up with that win over Chavito.

Good win by AJ Styles over one half of the tag team champions.  I'd have thought that Styles would come up short and Christian would edge out a win, but maybe both will

Haha, silly Tajiri :)  And he picks up the win too.  I like that.  Tajiri in my opinion is highly under utilized here on the boards

I knew after all that that MMW would pick up the win over the Havana Pitbulls, but it was still a good match and a good win for them.  And personally, I don't think the Pitbulls look bad going into their scramble match at Fallout after the loss tonight either.

Great meeting between Christian and Benoit and smart of Christian to tap right away to avoid further unneeded damage with a tag title match looking on the horizen.

Taz had to get the win here as to look as strong as possible for his match with Angle.

Good stuff.  Definitely looking forward to Fallout

Here's another new one for us.

Quick question, is there a world title of sorts in the GWA. The biggest title noted seems to be the North American title and since that was the opener, I'm guessing there's a bigger one that didn't come up this week. Angle seems pretty dominant though.

That's a helluva cruiserweight division there. And plenty more that didn't even crop up in that segment (the Lions, Ultimo etc).

Hahaha, Kanyon throwing a hissy fit when Tajiri got the "who betta than..." answer wrong was pretty funny. Tajiri getting the bejesus kicked out of him wasn't so, poor Tajiri.

Who'd doubt Chris Jericho and co. after all that. I'm assuming he's a big player here, ja?

Mind you, so is Benoit naturally. Good win for him here.

I'm sorry I glanced over this yesterday, the Taz/Jericho match was really good and knowing who was going to win it dampened things a tad.

And the mother of all questions - booked or unbooked?
AzraelPosted on 08/08/06 at 02:59:40

It's a booked circuit. Because I didn't really decide the scale of promotion I wanted starting things off, I made the North American Title the largest title. That could change soon though.

Jericho's the leader of the Dynasty, which is my biggest (and only) heel stable at the moment. So they've gotta get some press.  ;D
