Bragg Memorial Stadium
Tallahassee, Fl
8/03/06

TNA Opens to a shot of Bragg Stadium and then to our announce team of Mike Tenay and Doug West.

Tenay welcomes everyone to Bragg Memorial Stadium on the campus of Florida A&M. The weather is nice and this sold out crowd are ready for tonight's show. Victory Road is in the books and if you missed it you missed one great show. All 3 major titles were on the line and all 3 titles changed ownership. Petey Williams defeated Homicide to take the X Division title, Team Canada took care of Team 3D for the NWA World Tag Team title and Raven kept his undefeated streak alive and won the NWA World Heavyweight title from A1.

The Music of Jeff Jarrett hits to a chorus of boos as he makes his way to the ring

Jarrett talks about how last week at Victory Road he destroyed Christian Cage and Raven in one night, now he understands that Raven is crying hurt. Jarrett says he's not buying it. He is the #1 contender and he's calling in his shot right here right now.

The Crowd is on its feet waiting for Raven to respond but Jim Cornette comes out instead.

He tells Jarrett first things first. Last week at Victory Road there was some controversy as to the legitimacy of your victory. We in Management looked over the tape and found that Referee Mark Johnson did apply a fast count. In order to make sure fair is fair, you will tonight take on Cage for the #1 Contenders spot. In a falls count anywhere match. You win you face Raven in 3 weeks at iMPACT! in Bermingham Alabama, If not Cage will face Raven. Jarrett was livid he told Cornette he has always had it out for him and now you SOB trying to take away his title shot. Cornette told Jarrett, that he's lucky he is even getting a second shot after what he pulled after the main event. Jarrett jaws with the crowd as he makes his way back stage as Cornette calls out Simon Diamond.

Diamond comes out looking like he really doesn't care to hear what Cornette has to say makes it to the ring

Cornette askes Diamond what the hell was he trying to pull last week at Victory Road with his lack of effort and then walking away from the ring? Diamond said he was tired of wrestling lame ducks and non talented hacks. He was a star in the making. Cornette was not amused with his response. He told Diamond that right here right now he needs to think about his stay in TNA. We will have that match between you and Smiley in a few minutes but here is where the fun starts. I don't care who you are or what you think you should be doing but no one walks off my show. After you walked out of Victory Road, I tore up your contract so basically you don't work for TNA. Your match with Smiley will be for your contract, you win we rehire you, you lose and bye bye Mr. Diamond. The Crowd went crazy over the news as Diamond looked like someone just kicked him in the stomach. When we return, Smiley vs. Simon Diamond if he loses he's gone.

Norman Smiley vs. Simon Diamond

Well folks you heard it, if Diamond loses he's gone from TNA. Needless to say Diamond had a new sense of focus and it showed as he was into this one. Diamond was in control till late in the match when Diamond whipped Smiley in to the corner and charged shoulder first into the turnbuckle when Norman moved out the way. Smiley hit a hammerlock then a huge power slam. After the Big Wiggle, Norman hit a Russian leg sweep and then the Norman Conquest getting Diamond to tap. The crowd went wild giving Norman a standing ovation as Diamond sat their in disbelief.

Norman Smiley made Simon Diamond submit to the Norman Conquest in 0:04:44.

We see Jarrett talking to someone but all we can see is Jarrett's back. He tells the unknown person to make sure they are in place at the right time. Tenay and West try to figure out who Jarrett was talking to as we get set for our next match.

Jeff Hardy came down to the Announcers booth to talk with the guys and support his brother during his match.

Matt Hardy vs. Monty Brown

The 2 locked up and this one was turning out to be a great match. The action went back and forth till late in the match Brown was in control and Matt by this time was busted open due to repeated shots to the head by Brown Jeff seeing enough got up from the announcers both and limped to ring side. Not sure what he was going to do with a busted leg and all. Brown seen Jeff coming to ringside and the 2 started jawing. The ref tried to get Jeff to back away but while his back was turned Brown Got a chiar from outside and started whacking on Matt. Each time the ref was about to turn around Jeff would grab him or get his attention. Brown tossed the chair outside and Jeff finaly let the ref go back to work. Brown executed the Pounce and got the 3 count. Jeff climbed into the ring and pushed Brown. He turned as if he was about to deck him when both men smiled. Tenay and West were as confused as anyone as they tried to get Borash to talk to Jeff Backstage. Borash stopped Hardy and asked him what the hell was going on? Jeff said for far to long he has been carrying the dead wait of his brother. 2 weeks ago during the Tag Team Gauntlet, Matt left me out 2 dry not once not twice but 3 times. When my knee was busted that Sob didn't even come to the hospital to check on me, then at Victory Road he had the nerve to say it was my fault we lost to Team Canada. That was it, it was now time to cut the fat and move on.

In the ring

Gail Kim and America's Most Wanted were in the ring talking about how easy it was to take out Daniels and Styles. They can't beat us. That fluke little pin Sunday in the best of 3 doesn't count for much when we have taken them out over and over again. I think we proven that were the best in the division and it's time to move on and head north to Canada. Storm said they wanted first crack at the new Champs. Styles and Daniels make there way out. Daniels tells Storms he doesn't know why he believes things have been settled between them. It aint over till we say it's over. Jim Cornette comes back out and tells the 4 that they will meet tonight in the main event and both will face Team Canada. This brought out Scott D'Amore and the Tag team Champions. He wanted to know what the Hell Cornette was smoking. Cornette continued that if Team Canada wins then they won't have to defend the title against either of the teams. If Team Canada losses then they will face the winning team Next week in a title match. Only team that seemed happy with the arrangement was Daniels and Styles. Tonight we have a Tag Team Triple threat Match featuring AMW, Styles and Daniels and the Champs Team Canada.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Tenay welcomes everyone back to the action and says if they are just turning in they have missed some great action. Simon Diamond is no longer in TNA as he lost his contract match to Norman Smiley. Petey Williams is in the ring with mic in hand. He tells the crowd that Cornette told him to wait in the ring and wait to see who his 1st title defense will be against. This is bull Cornette. I see how your treating Team Canada since we almost took sole control of TNA at Victory Road. Will play your game for now, so send out whoever you want, I'm still going to walk away X Division Champion. The Crowd roars as they see who is coming to the ring.

X Division Title Match:
Samoa Joe vs. Petey Williams (C)

Samoa Joe enters the ring and stares down Williams who smirks at him. He looks at the belt and hands it to the ref as we get on our way. The 2 went back and forth with noone taking the advantage until late in the match. Joe hits a Power Bomb then follows that up with a back drop. Rating: ** 3/4
(Petey Williams retained the TNA X Division Title.)

Our next match was another rematch from last week. Jim Cornette said that Jarrett's win at Victory Road plus his actions against Raven after the Main event, prompted the Management committee to have the #1 contenders match results voided and a rematch here tonight.

#1 Contenders Match:
Christian Cage vs. Jeff Jarrett

The excitement in the stadium was electrifying as these two men were set to go. This was a falls count anywhere so it didn't take long for the action to spill out the ring. They were all over Bragg Memorial; If it wasn't bolted down it was fair game in this one. Towards the end of the match the two were near a camera platform. Jarrett Slammed Cage into the scaffolding then into a speaker box. Cage pushed Jarrett and Jarrett fell back taking out referee Danny Fair. Cage went over to check on the ref when out of nowhere Rob Van Dam slams a chair on the back of Cage. RVD works on cage and cracks him over the head with another chair. He gets the camera cord and wraps it around cage's neck. With cage out, RVD climbs to the top of the camera platform and hits the Five Star Frog Splash. Jarrett who now is up and looks no worse for ware hits the stroke on Cage then goes over and revives Danny Fair. He slowly counts to 3 and Jarrett wins the match.

Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Jeff Jarrett pinned Christian Cage with the Stroke in 0:07:53.
Rating: **** 1/4

BACKSTAGE

Sabu and Dutt are in the locker rooms ready to leave for the night when Konnan and Machete comes in. The attack Sabu and Dutt and toss Dutt into the wall in the Shower. Machete then stomps on Dutt while Konnan puts Sabu in the Tequila Sunrise. Machete takes out some black spry paint and sprays LAX on the chest of Sabu. Konnan then lets Sabu out of the hold and kicks Dutt who is laid out in the shower. They spry paint LAX on his chest and forehead then turns on the shower letting the wet paint drip down his face.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Tenay welcomes everyone back to Impact and tells the folks that the ring physician has loaded cage in an ambulance and have taken Cage to a local hospital. We hope everything is ok and will get more information once available. Now it was Main Event time.

Triple Threat Match:
America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris & James Storm) vs. AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels vs. Team Canada (C) (Bobby Roode & Andrew Martin)

Well this match seemed to mean more to Styles and Daniels and AMW then to Team Canada. If Team Canada wins they won't have to defend the titles against AMW or Styles and Daniels. Storm, Styles and Roode stated things off. We all know the history with Styles and AMW so Roode let them to kill each other and stayed mostly in the back taking advantage when he could. Late in the match referee Mark Johnson lost control when D'Amore jumped up on the mat and took a swing at Storm with the Canadian flag. Daniels then cleared the ring with a series of clotheslines and body slam on D'Amore. Daniels then tags in Styles who hits the Styles Clash on Roode to pick up the win.

Triangle Match:
AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels defeated
America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm) and

Pretty good stuff, but I have to ask one question - if Samoa Joe was the one who got attacked, surely HE should have won the match by disqualification. But that's a minor niggle.
dabirdmanPosted on 08/06/06 at 18:54:05

Minor goof yea, but screams major problem. It has been changed.
91Posted on 08/06/06 at 19:07:43

Nice one. Anyway, I'll probably get a better graps of what's going on when I've seen the champion, Raven, make an appearance.

I noticed a few WWE guys slip in there, who have you got?
dabirdmanPosted on 08/06/06 at 19:29:14

The only WWE guys I have on contract are Rob Van Dam and Test aka Andrew Martin

The Rock came by for one show but that was it.
91Posted on 08/06/06 at 19:37:20

And you HAD Matt Hardy.
HugeRockStar760Posted on 08/06/06 at 20:05:46

There is also a result on there that has Monty Brown pinning Jeff Hardy when Matt Hardy was the one wrestling.

Are you not copying and pasting the results from TNM?
