This was another "whatever" match as Smiley defeated Diamond when he decided he was not going to wrestle and just walked out the ring and back up the ramp. I'm sure Jim Cornette will have something to say about this.

Those fools from up north can play him if they want but when it time to fight there is going to be a 1-8-7.

Sabu and Dutt are making their debut as a team tonight as they face Buchanan and Brown in a tough tag match. The crowd seemed to take to Sabu and Dutt pretty well. He believes if it wasn't for AMW attack in round 1 They would be here fighting Team 3D for the titles instead of Team Canada.

Senshi vs Samoa Joe

This match was a rematch per say of the X -Division round 1 match up between these 2. The action was fast and furious as both men went at each other hard. Two out of 3 falls Tag Team Match:
AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels vs. America's Most Wanted (James Storm & Chris Harris)

Chris Harris and Matt Hardy had words as AMW made there way to the ring to one point Hardy had taken his head set off and started toward the ring. He decided not to and put the headset back on. Gail Kim had her boys regroup and focus on the 2nd match went to AMW when Storm got the pin with a flying forearm. The 3rd fall was a match to remember as I assume the 1st 2 were to feel each other out. A 25 minute match looked like it was going reach the time limit had both teams getting near falls. Late in the match Harris and Storm had Styles in a 2 on 1 situation and whipped Styles into the ropes going for a double clothesline, Styles ducked the move and hit both of them with a clothesline of his own. Storm leaves the ring. Styles go for the Styles Clash on Harris and hit it. The crowd is going wild and he goes for the pin but Storm makes the save. Steiner has stated that he would destroy Sting and that he would make sur this was Stings last night in TNA. Well the time for talk was over as both men stared at each other waiting on the bell to ring. Once the match started both men went at each other liked they owed each other money. 1st it was all Steiner, then it was all Sting, then all Steiner again then back to Sting. The crowd was in a frenzy Sting was in control when Steiner reversed a backbreaker and followed it up with a clothesline. Just like that the momentum was back in Steiner's corner. Steiner hits Sting with a huge backbreaker then a power slam then had sting tap with the Steiner Recliner.

2 weeks ago Team 3D interfered in a match that cost Team Canada the win and ever since then D'Amore had promised that Team 3D would pay with the titles. Tonight was put up or shut up time. Brother ray and Andrew Martin would start it off as the two would lock up. During the match the crowd would yell "Test sucks" or Say no to drugs" that seemed to get Martin off his game a little. He would stop the momentum to jaw back at the fans. Towards the late part of the match, Roode would hit Devon with a kick and then a standing wristlock. After a sit out Power bomb Ref Danny Fair counted to 3 and we had our 2nd title change of the night.

TNA circuit update

The Numbers

Victory Road had a card rating of *** 3/4 best of the promotion so far. Pulled in a buy rate of 2.57, with each point ruffly equal to 90,000 viewers more then 180,00 folks took in the show. Attendance at the Orlando Arena was 22,516. Merch sales were strong at $15,536. The gate pulled in $30,826 for a PPV total of $67,062. Production costs were $43,650 netting Victory Road a profit of $23,412. Needless to say management are all smiles.

Injuries

There were some major injuries reported after the PPV went off, the biggest was Scott Steiner who just came back from a bad back, will now be out for an undisclosed amount of time. He reportedly tore his calf muscle durring his match with Sting.

After his match with A1 Raven was attacked by Jeff Jarrett that will have the new NWA Champ on the sidelines for a least3 weeks. We understand he will be at iMPACT! this Thursday in Tallahassee but not sure if he will wrestle.

Comming and Goings

Nothing reported as of this typing

PPV Thoughts

As PPV goes this was not the greatest but all in all not a bad show by no means. Things picked up around the Konnan/Scotty 2 Hotty match and seemed to build from there. Team Canada picked up 2 belts but lost the big one to Raven. I'm sure even without the NWA World Title, Team Canada will be full of themselves to the highest levels.
Snabbit888Posted on 08/04/06 at 10:22:56

A pretty decent card all around.  A lot of new champions which isn't always a bad thing.  Like Petey as the X champion, and good to see Raven get that damn belt off of A1. :)  I like A1, but he's not a guy you build your promotion around.

One thing I might say though is that you have a lot of little typos in weird places that take me out of it.  I know it might not seem like a huge deal, but when you have typos like "Team Cananda" and "raven Effect" and "8 second ride" (the last two missing capitalization), it says to me that you don't care that much about your product.  You have decent enough stuff going on for your angles and such, but things like that need proofreading and polish.
