WWA PRIMETIME TV  9/13/05
ERIE, PA
ON THE FX CABLE NETWORK!!

The show starts off with Taz in CEO Arn Anderson's office discussing his match last week.

TAZ:  Arn, I don't know what more to say.  That wasn't me last week, it was just an off night.  Give me a rematch with Sabu tonight, and I promise, it'll be a different story.

AA: Taz,  you're a legend of this business.  I know what a great wrestler you are and I still think you have a little in the tank.  So here's what I'm going to do for you.  I'll give you a shot at Sabu tonight, but here's the catch.  I'm also putting Rob Van Dam in the match.  So tonight, its you, Sabu, and RVD, in a triple threat match. Oh by the way, Extreme Rules. Now excuse me I got to get to the ring.

The camera fades out and the show opening plays. It comes back to a shot of the sold out crowd at the arena in Erie Pa.  Anderson's music plays and he comes out to the ring to a standing ovation. Anderson's holding two sealed envelopes.

ANDERSON:  Thank you.  Last week I announced our WWA Lethal Lottery.  The first two rounds of the 16 team tournament will be held this Saturday Night, in a special event, to be broadcast on Fox Sports Net. Now I hold in my hand, two of the teams. Tonight, we're going to see a little exhibition match.   The first team will be  (Arn opens the first envelope)  Charlie Haas, and Christian Cage!!

Both Haas and Cage separately make there way to ringside.  They both enter the ring, confront each other face to face. They have some words and then back up.

ANDERSON: And the second team is Rene Dupree, and Lance Storm!!!

This brings out the music of The Impact Players and both Storm and Credible march to the ring.

CREDIBLE: This is bullcarp Arn.  We are a team.  You have no right to break us up.  The Impact Players are destined to dominate the WWA, we demand you let us enter this tournament together.

STORM: You know you are afraid of us. You don't want us to totally rule this division.  I admire you wanting to give everyone else a chance, but come on.  No other team here is our level.  We deserve to be the Tag Team Champions.

ANDERSON: If you remember back, you two signed individual contracts with the WWA.  You were not signed as a team.  So I can do what I want with each of you, and your lucky, I'm even letting you two compete in this tournament. Lance, you have a match now, Justin, you don't so why don't you go on back to the locker room.

Rene Dupree's theme then plays and he makes his way to the ring. He passes Credible who gives him a dirty stare on his way to the back. Dupree enters this ring. Storm points a finger at him and says "Don't screw this up."

CHARLIE HAAS AND CHRISTIAN CAGE VS LANCE STORM AND RENE DUPREE

Storm started the match off against Christian, and Christian's combination of quickness and technique got the better of Storm's mat attack.  Cage made the tag to Haas and they continued on the advantage.  Then Cage got tagged back in and Storm was able to make the tag to Dupree.  That's when the tides turned, thanks to a Dupree kick to Cage's crotch when the ref wasn't looking.  Then Dupree and Storm took control.  At one point Cage got thrown to the outside and Haas went to him, smacked him and told him to get things in gear.  Cage didn't appreciate it and countered his slap with a right hook. Cage and Storm started brawling on the floor and up the ramp as they got counted out.

Lance Storm and Rene Dupree defeated Charlie Haas and Christian Cage when
L. Storm defeated Cage by countout in 0:10:53.
Rating: * 1/4

That didn't stop the fight and Cage and Haas continued to brawl back up the ramp, through the locker room and even out the front door.  They are fighting each other in front of the area when a couple of Erie's finest tried to break things up.  Christian then made the mistake of swinging and hitting a cop. Big Mistake.  The rest of the cops quickly swarmed Christian handcuffing him and placing him under arrest.

Haas, being the genius that he is, took another shot at Christian while he was handcuffed.  This of course is a crime as well, and led to Haas being placed under arrest.  How will this affect their chances in the Lethal Lottery?  Probably not good.

TAZ VS SABU VS ROB VAN DAM

Taz started off this match a house of fire, eager to prove last week's loss was a fluke.  A couple suplexs to each, and Taz had the ring cleared.  However this was a long way from being over. The match went back and forth. Towards the end, RVD atomic dropped Taz over the guardrail, RVD then climbed the top rope and did a flying sidekick knocking Taz to the floor. Before RVD was able to celebrate, Sabu came back and clobbered RVD.  He set up RVD on the table, grabbed a chair and headed to the top rope for the Arabian Face Buster. However Taz climbed back over the guardrail, pulled Van Dam off the table sending Sabu crashing through the bare table.  Taz through RVD in the ring, hit a T-Bone Tazplex, followed it up with the Tazmission and got the win.

In the back, Justin Credible was still arguing with CEO Anderson.

ANDERSON: Look, I'm tired of hearing you two complain.  Tonight, you'll find out your partner as well, but you wont be a team, tonight you will be wrestling against your Lethal Lottery partner. Now get to the ring, your match is next.

JUSTIN CREDIBLE VS MIKE KNOX W/ KELLY

Credible had a mixed reaction when Knox came out. A little upset at having to fight Knox tonight, but a little satisfied having such a big physical partner for the Lethal Lottery. Knox and Credible were having a good tough match, going back and forth, but Credible began getting the edge and was ready to set up Knox for the finish when Kelly came in and hit Credible with a chair, getting the DQ.

Justin Credible defeated Mike Knox by disqualification in 0:11:43.

Credible went back to the locker room, Knox and Kelly stayed in the ring and Knox gave Kelly, much like last week, quite a verbal bashing, blaming his loss all on her.  Kelly hid her face in her hands saying "I'm sorry" over and over again.

Next Carlito came to the ring got in the ring and jumped on the rink.

CARLITO:  Chris Masters. First you back out of our barbed wire match at the kickoff party.  That was not cool.  Then you run away from our match last week.  Once again, not cool. So basically Chris Masters, you are not cool. Come out here now so I can kick your ass.

Chris Masters comes out to the top of the ramp in street clothes.

MASTERS: Carlito, I'm not going to fight you tonight. I have nothing to prove by fighting you.  But since your in there and you seem ready for a fight, I'll let you wrestle my Lethal Lottery partner.

CARLITO:  I don't want to fight your partner.  I want to fight you, you chicken S@#&

While Carlito was focused on the Masterpiece, he was unaware of Jamie Noble sneaking up from behind and attacking Carlito.

CARLITO VS JAMIE NOBLE

Masters stayed at ringside watching his partner this weekend against his rival.  Noble held control for most of the match capitalizing on the sneak attack at the beginning.  Then Noble tried going to the top rope, Carlito recovered and ran into the ropes causing Noble to lose balance, Carlito then with a right hand sent Noble to the floor. At that point the Masterpiece decided it was time to get involved, jumping into the ring and cracking Carlito with a chair.

Carlito defeated Jamie Noble by disqualification in 0:10:05.

Masters and Noble then began a double team of Carlito until WWA officals came to the ring to clear them out.

MATT HARDY VS JEFF HARDY

Our next match had nothing to do with the upcoming Lethal Lottery, it was just the latest in a series of terrifically brutal matches between two brothers.  Having already had a Stretcher match, and First Blood match, tonight was a plain old-fashioned wrestling match. However we got some unexpected visitors show up.  Steve Corino and Tajiri, who will be a Lethal Lottery Team, and apparently facing Matt Hardy, came down and tried to do a number on Matt. It didn't stop Matt from getting the win, as Matt was able to hit a Twist of Fate to get the victory.

Matt Hardy pinned Jeff Hardy after the Twist of Fate in 0:12:22.

Corino and Tajiri were not satisfied yet.  After the match, they continued to attack Matt Hardy, working on his shoulder, slamming it against the ring post.  Meanwhile Jeff Hardy began walking back to the locker room.  He stood on top of the ramp, watching these two decimate his brother.  He looked conflicted standing there watching what was happening in the ring.  Then Jeff Hardy had enough. He grabbed a chair and sprinted back to the ring to clear out Corino and Tajiri, but the damage might have already been done.

SHAWN MICHAELS VS EDGE

They're not lethal lottery partners, but The Big Show, along with Lita was in Edge's corner tonight, as was Randy Orton by the side of Shawn Michaels. Of course they'd all get involved somehow.  HBK was getting all ready to hit Edge with Sweet Chin Music, but the Big Show grabbed Edge's legs and pulled him out of the ring.  Not wanting this to turn into a handicap match, Orton came over and started pounding on the big show.  Show came back and had Orton up for a chokeslam but somehow Orton turned it into an RKO.  Edge crawled back into the ring, Michaels still wanted to hit Sweet Chin Music, but as he was coming towards Edge, Edge made a great adjustment catching him with the spear. Edge made the cover, grabbed some tights and hooked his legs on the rope behind the refs back to get the pin and the win.

Edge pinned Shawn Michaels with the Spear in 0:09:14.

Some interesting stuff going on here.  I feel it might be a little early to be using the Lethal Lottery gimmick, but it's been fun so far.  Haas and Cage cannot coexist for the life of them, and now they're both in jail.  And I like the Impact Players frustration with being split up, but I hope it doesn't lead to a full fledge angle against Arn because those angles are a little done to death unless they can be made special.  I also don't like that Lethal Lottery is for the tag titles, but hey, we'll see what comes of it.

You may have revealed too many of the teams here tonight.  Part of the fun of Lethal Lottery is that you don't know who the teams are until the match begins.  I know Haas/Cage, Credible/Knox, Storm/Dupree, Masters/Noble... it takes a little of the sport out of it.  But still, it IS a gimmick I like, so it should be interesting to see how you handle it.

And Edge wins in the main event, which is something I cannot complain about.
