Tag Team Gauntlet Round 1:

The Hardy Boys(Jeff & Matt Hardy) vs. AJ Styles & Chris Daniels

Round 1 of the Gauntlet pitted 2 of the top teams in TNA as the winner moves on to face America's Most Wanted. The match went as expected as both teams showed great team work. Late in the Match AMW came to ring side to get a closer look at their next opponent. Daniels and Harris badmouthed each other till it got to the point you knew one would attack the other. In the ring Jeff hardy and AJ Styles were battling it out when Jeff hit a jawbreaker on Styles. Styles rolled to his corner and made thee tag to Daniels. He came in and started to work on Jeff. Matt came into the ring and soon was back out as Daniels clears him out. Styles who was on the outside still shaking off the effect of the jawbreaker was pulled down from the ring by Harris as Kim commanded her guys to attack. Daniels noticed his partner taking a shot and went out the ring to help Jeff Hardy made his way back in the ring as the ref counted to 10 giving the win to the Hardy Boys. Storm slammed Daniels into the ring post and slid in the ring and started to go after Jeff. Round 2 was on it's way.

Tag Team Gauntlet Round 2:

The Hardy Boys (Jeff & Matt Hardy) vs. America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris & James Storm)

The action was non stop as soon as the 10 count was called in the last match; Storm slid into the ring and attacked Jeff to start the 2nd round. The arena was in buzz as Storm went after Jeff with repeated blows to the head and punishing back breakers and slams. Daniels and Styles were still at ring side now jawing again at Harris. Gail Kim kept her eyes on the two and tried to make sure Styles didn't try anything. Jeff was in need of a tag as the crowd was trying to urge him over to his corner Harris whipped Hardy into the ropes but he ducked out the way and hit a clothesline of his own. Both men were down as the ref counted to 10. Jeff slowly made his way to his corner and mad the tag. Storm went to make the tag but Harris wasn't there! He was on the side fighting off Daniels. Matt Hardy went to work on Storm. He then goes for a sit out Power Bomb and goes for the pin The ref counts to 3 and amazingly the Hardy survive round 2 and will face LAX when we return.

Tag Team Gauntlet Round 3:

The Hardy Boys (Jeff & Matt Hardy) vs. Latin American Exchange (Machete & Konnan)

We return with action already in the ring as the Hardy Boys have survived 2 incredible matches. TNA Security has cleared the area during the commercial but I'm sure the action is still going on back stage. Matt Hardy was in the ring as Jeff looked like he may have injured himself in the last match. Konan had Matt in an abdominal stretch trying to ware down the already tired Hardy. The crowd once again behind the Hardy Boys encouraged Matt to get to the ropes. Mat started to drive a couple of elbows into the ribs of Konnan and finally was able to break free. He made the tag to Jeff at the same time Konnan tagged in Machete. The two exchanged blows but after a big kick to the gut, Jeff hit a DDT and went for the pin. Konnan went for the save but Matt blocked him as the Hardy move on the the final match against Team Canada.

Roode overpowered Jeff who by this time showed a pronounced limp Roode tagged in the Mask Canadian who just manhandled Matt Hardy and hit a pump handle suplex for the finish picking up the 3 count.

Scott D'Amore jumps into the ring and raises the arms of his victorious team. He grabs a mic. He says that some folks thought that when Eric Young left that was the end of Team Canada. Well I'm sorry to report that the roumers of our demise are a little premature. Now I'll let our newest member fill you in on the details. In the ring was set up a table with 2 chairs ready for the contract signing between Raven and A1 for the Main event at next weeks Victory Road PPV. Jim Cornette makes his way down with a briefcase and calls out both men to come to the ring to sign the contract. Raven first came out to the wild reception from the crowd. He took a seat then A1, followed by Scott D'Amore. A1 stared at Raven and Raven stared back at A1. Cornette told both men to sit down. This is just a signing event. You 2 can go at each other next week. A1 took his seat as Cornette took the contract out of the case. First he had Raven sign on the line marked challenger. Before A1 signed he told raven to take a good look at the belt , this will be the closest he will ever get to it. Commings and Goings

Andrew Martin (Test) Has signed on with TNA . Details of the contract were not released.
americamamushiPosted on 07/29/06 at 10:01:45

Little sad to see Styles & Daniels fall to the Hardy Boys because I feel that they make a good tandem, but with the way they lost they definitely don't lose face.

After the first win I expected them to get the second.  Daniels & Styles were going to "do unto others"

Not surprised by their third win over LAX, but I was a little surprised to see them go all the way to the end and get beat.  I was thinking they'd take it.  Not bad surprised though.  :)  I'll be interested to see what you do with Andrew Martin.  He's not someone I can picture fitting into TNA well IRL at the moment.

Poor Konnan, doing double duty and all.  Surprised he lasted as long as he did against Joe considering he'd already wrestled once this evening.

Wow... a 4 minute win over Brown for Rhyno.  I'm not sure whether to think Rhyno kicked it up a notch or Brown has lost a step.  :)

A really quick win, but not a bad one for Homicide.

Good way to end the 4-way leading up to the PPV.  Gotta build the anticipation and all.  :)

Good showing old bean :)
