AJ Styles vs. Chris Harris

This was a match that came about from last week when AMW defeated Styles and Daniels Whenever Mark Johnson is officiating a match you know there going to be trouble and on que there was. Late in the match Styles hit Harris with a DDT and went for the pin but Johnson wasn't there for the count he was to busy making eyes with Gail Kim who was doing a little dance. This gave Harris the break he needed and mounted a comeback. Harris climbed the ropes, but Styles knocked him off He then executes the Styles Clash and got the 3 count.

At Victory Road they will pay with their belts. Next week the newest member of Team Canada will team up with Roode and punch our ticket to Victory Road.

Bobby Roode vs. Norman Smiley

2 weeks ago Smiley hit A1 in the back with a chair that almost caused A1 to lose his title. Tonight Smiley was in the lion's den as he faced Roode in the ring and the rest of Team Canada out of the ring. Smiley put up a good fight but Roode was to much for him and got the win with a power bomb.

INTERVIEW

Jeremy Borash talks to Raven and asks him about his match tonight against Sting. Raven says that words are nothing if you can't back them up so he will do all his talking in the ring.

Christopher Daniels vs. James Storm

Round 1 went to Styles who took care of Harris now we see if Daniels will make it a sweep or will Storm make some noise. This was a surprisingly clean match even Kim stayed on the outside and let the two men go at it. One of the better matches of the night Daniels took control when Storm missed with a spinning kick. Daniels gave the sign for the Lat Rights and that was the end of Storm's night.

Christopher Daniels pinned James Storm with the Last Rites in 0:09:42.

We see Jeff Jarrett back stage once again jawing with Cage. These two have hated each other since day one. Words ended and pushing started as Jarrett and cage started going at each other. Sting came to help Cage and Steiner came to help Jarrett.

Cage then comes out with "Big Papa Pump" closely behind. All 4 men are using anything and everything on each other. Security comes down and tries to pull the 4 men apart but they are not having much success. We go to commercial.

A1 was beside himself as the sold out crowd showed their approval. Next week both men will be in the ring to sign the contract.

Sabu vs. Monty Brown

Both these men have been on a tear lately here in TNA and this match was intense and bloody. Brown opened up Sabu early in the match by ramming Sabu's head over and over onto the steel steps. TNA Circuit Update

The Numbers

The Card rating again was ** 3/4 with a TV rating of 4.15. Attendance was 8750. TV revenue was $29,200 Merch sales were $5,250 and gate was $6,125 for a total of $40,575. Our highest take of the seson so far. Production costs were $30,800 for a profit this week of $9,775.

Yes folks you read right TNA pulled a profit for a 2nd time.

The PPV is looking good as pre sales of tickets are what was expected. Pre Sales of tickets for Impacts first road show are also strong.

Injuries

No Injuries to report but Rob Van Dam was a no-show for his match against Steiner.

Commings and Goings

The new member of Team Canada will be unvailed next week and roumers have started back stage that yes he is Canadian and that he has some name recognition but he has a new look. Will just have to wait and see.
djmasterscooterPosted on 07/27/06 at 09:12:07

Hmmm..Raven going over Sting..yes it should happen...on TV though?  That could have been a money feud, although I do see the reasoning with Raven's undefeated streak.

Hope Cage comes out victorious.  A Raven/Cage feud is money in the bank.

Suprised about A-1's push.  Good to see you have faith in someone who isn't named Jeff Jarrett.

I'll be reading...keep up the good work.
Murphy42782Posted on 07/27/06 at 16:35:09

well I'll adapt the good, bad, ugly style of comments until I have alot to say.

The Good:
Raven getting the victory in the main event. I think Sting is past his prime and if pushed correctly, see Harm's NAWA, Raven can be an absolute monster.

The Bad:
Not that its bad, but if you are trying to further the feud of Styles/Daniels vs. AMW, you should've had atleast a cheap victory for one of AMW to keep things looking like it could go either way. A clean sweep makes the former champs look like chumps.

The Ugly:
A1 as champ, and the fact that the Hardys gotta win tag team turmoil just to get a shot at the team they beat tonight. They're getting screwed. Not to mention they gotta kick off the gauntlet against possibly the hottest team going in Styles/Daniels.

Keep up the good work,
Murph

I like A1. I always thought he'd make a great Lex Luger type for Jeff Jarrett's group with AMW. Of course, TNA isn't really pushing those three together anymore anyways.

What surprised me is that A1 is only 6'0. So he's a solid 257 pounds. I probably wouldn't have pushed him so fast, so soon. But that's not to say he's not a credible World Champion either. I'd probably start him off as the guy the heel manager of a Four Horsemen like group was grooming to be one of the top guys eventually.

Is your Impact 1 or 2 hours? Because the amount of time the matches were and the interview segments would lead me to believe 2 hours. Of course, there is nothing that says time restrictions need to be observed either. I've just been trying to do that with my Smackdown! and ECW circuits. It kind of helps as well because you can plan better and not feel everyone has to be on the show wrestling.

My guess for the Canadian wrestler is Edge. Of course, that's just me hoping for the best. It could be Chris Benoit though.
