NAWA WrestleClash III Preview(Predictions Welcomed

MattHarmsPosted on 07/17/06 at 20:40:24

WrestleClash III, perhaps the biggest event in the two and a half year history of the NAWA. The culmination of several feuds that have been brewing for quite some time and several top line matches. The show is as follows.

Walk Through Hell Match:
Christopher Daniels vs Raven:

Daniels and Raven were allies in the past but now they are the most bitter of enemies. The genesis of their feud dates back to last year's WrestleClash when Raven lost the NAWA World Title belt to Harry Harris and then left for a few months to nurse some injuries, leaving his NAWA World Tag Team Championship partner Christopher Daniels high and dry and forcing Daniels to defend the titles alone until he lost them. Daniels never forgave Raven and struck back with a vengeance, costing Raven the NAWA World Title in a rematch against Harry Harris on Glory back last October. Daniels and Raven met several times since then on Pay Per View, first match was an inconclusive finish at Last Chance at Redemption. That was followed up by a Last Man Standing Match at StarClash with Daniels beating Raven thanks to the help of the newly formed Archangels of Anarchy. The feud laid dormant for a few months before blasting back open when Daniels beat Raven in the finals of the Gold Rush Tournament but that seemed to be the end as Raven joined the Archangels of Anarchy. However, it was all a ruse as Raven cost Daniels the NAWA World Title against Ron Waterman at Night of the Rogues. Not to be outdone, Daniels returned the favor, costing Raven his own title match against Waterman at Battlequest. This all lead to Commissioner New Jack making one final match between the two, under the most brutal stipulations in wrestling, Walk Through Hell. There will be a steel cage with no door, a roof, and extending all the way to the floor. The ropes will be taken down and replaced by razor sharp barbed wire. Various weapons will be scattered around the ringside area. This match will be no countout, no disqualification, no pinfall, no submission, no time limit. The match will only end when one wrestler is beaten so badly that he cannot continue. The feud will be settled this Sunday at WrestleClash but it remains to seen whether these two would be the same again.

Prediction:

NAWA World Title Match:
The Dark Warrior vs Ron Waterman(c)

Waterman is the most dominant NAWA World Champion in the history of the promotion, having successful title defenses against Miles Stylish, Tony Mamaluke, Christopher Daniels, Teddy Hart, Jerry Lynn, Raven, and many others. He has done it all and remained undefeated throughout his entire two year run in the NAWA but the one wrestler who he has never met in the ring would be the Dark Warrior. That will all change at WrestleClash III as the Dark Warrior will finally get a shot at the NAWA World Title against Ron Waterman. This war has gotten ugly over the past several weeks, including several times where the Warrior, along with his Triumvirate teammates, laid a beating on Ron Waterman and left him laying. Waterman is hoping to settle the score and the Warrior is hoping for one final run atop the wrestling world. This battle of the titans will be one to watch at WrestleClash III.

Prediction:

NAWA International Title Match:
Rapmaster Killings vs Miles Stylish(c)

This all started back in July when Killings made Stylish tap out but the referee didn't see it so Killings requested an NAWA International Title Shot which he will receive this Sunday at WrestleClash III. Stylish has waived off the challenge of Killings, calling him a great wrestler but not on the level of Miles Stylish. Stylish promised Killings that if he tried to take the International Title, Stylish would take out Killings just like he did Harry Harris and leave him on the injured reserve list. Killings wants to shut the mouth of Stylish once and for all, taking his International Title Belt. If anyone can shut up Stylish it would be one of the most charismatic stars in the NAWA in the Rapmaster but Stylish has had his back against the wall before and came out on top.

Prediction:

I Quit Match:
CM Punk vs AJ Styles

The feud between these two has been brewing for quite some time, since the NAWA International Title Tournament where Punk suffered a knee injury during a mistimed move from Styles. Punk returned, costing Styles the Cruiserweight Title against Teddy Hart and taunted AJ Styles for several months before Styles finally got a match with Punk at Battlequest. The match went to an inconclusive finish and later that night, Styles attacked Punk, putting him in a cross face submission hold and making Punk scream he gave up. That one move has given the NAWA an idea to put AJ Styles against CM Punk in an I-Quit Match. The first person to make their opponent say I-Quit on the microphone will be the winner. Styles has been chomping at the bit for months to get his revenge on Punk in the ring after all the trash talking and taunting Punk did but Punk is sure to have a trick or two up his sleeeve:

Prediction:

Career vs Cruiserweight Championship
Tony Mamaluke vs Teddy Hart(c)

Teddy Hart has been the man in the Cruiserweight division for over a year. It seems that no matter who Hart faces, he manages to come out on top. One of the men who he has crossed paths with is Tony Mamaluke. Back on Glory in May, Teddy Hart beat Mamaluke in a close championship match and if it wasn't for an exposed turnbuckle bolt, there are many that feel Mamaluke would have walked out that night with the Cruiserweight Title over his shoulder. Hart went on his way for a few more months, racking up some victories over top Cruiserweight talent and on the other side, Mamaluke came up on the short end of the stick in a feud with Miles Stylish over the International Title. This amused Teddy Hart who taunted Mamaluke until Mamaluke snapped and challenged Hart to a Cruiserweight Title Match. Hart agreed but only if Mamaluke agreed to never wrestle in the NAWA again should he fail to beat Hart for the championship. Last week on Glory, Mamaluke pinned Hart in the center of the ring but was soundly thrashed by the HFNG in a brutal parking lot attack. Mamaluke's leg is at less than one hundred percent after the number the HFNG did on it with a tire iron on Glory ten days ago.

Prediction:

NAWA Television Title Match:
Scott Hall vs Jerry Lynn(c)

Back in the early days of the NAWA, Scott Hall won the first Gold Rush Tournament to become the first NAWA Television Champion and held that belt longer than anyone else in the company, some even declaring Hall the best champion the NAWA has ever seen. Jerry Lynn has taken exception to this and requested a match with Hall at WrestleClash III. Hall accepted the challenge, after all he had a bone to pick with Lynn after Lynn drove Hall's head into the concrete, costing him a chance to challenge for the NAWA World Title back at WrestleClash III. Can Hall become the two time NAWA Television Champion or will Jerry Lynn knock off another title challenger to build his dynasty like title reign?

Prediction:

#1 Contenders Match for the NAWA World Title:
Agony(w/the Chosen One) vs The Gambler

Norman Smiley, who is now known as Agony, and the Gambler used to be good friends, standing side by side, battling the threat of the Boogie Woogie Regime led by Disco Inferno. Of course all that changed when Norman Smiley was changed to Agony of the Archangels of Anarchy. Agony and the Chosen One attempted to recruit the Gambler into the Archangels but the Gambler refused and as a result, they attacked the Gambler, costing him the NAWA Television Title. As a result, the Gambler requested this match to be made and New Jack agreed, also tacking on a number one contendership stipulation in an attempt to pump some fresh blood into the NAWA World Title divsiion.

Prediction:

NAWA World Tag Team Title Match:
Juvi and Lenny vs Petey Williams and Johnny Devine(c)

Back at Battlequest last month, Juvi and Lenny became the #1 Contenders for the NAWA World Tag Team Titles, beating Bentley and Sabin thank to a little help from the Archangels of Anarchy which sets up this title match. Petey Williams and Johnny Devine have been fighting champions ever since they have won the belts but have never went up against anything quite like Lenny and Juvi. In fact, for a few weeks, Juvi and Lenny gained possession of the NAWA World Tag Team Title Belts, swiping them from underneath the noses of the challengers. Petey Williams and Johnny Devine stole the belts back, attacking Juvi and Lenny in the backstage area with a brutal beating just ten days ago on Glory. The NAWA World Tag Team Belts are on the line at WrestleClash III as the Hart Foundation, the Next Generation defend against Juvi and Lenny.

Prediction:

Sacrifice vs Shawn Stasiak:
Stasiak has struck out on his own recently after Mike Sanders left the NAWA due to a contract dispute and has a helluva a first opponent on Pay Per View, the monster of the Archangles of Anarcy, the 7'3" Sacrifice. This was set up when Stasiak was fighting Christopher Daniels and Sacrifice ran in, attacking Stasiak to save Daniels. Stasiak managed to hold his own before getting beaten down. Then a couple of weeks ago, Stasiak attacked Sacrifice with a chair but the big man did not go off of his feet at all. Stasiak is going to have to think of something impressive or he might not have a chance to be Sacrifice.

Prediction:

Armageddon and Destruction vs Matt Bentley and Chris Sabin:
Sabin and Bentley beat Armageddon and Destruction in tag team turmoil last month at Battlequest before losing to Lenny and Juvi in the finals after Armageddon and Destruction ran in, attacking them. These two teams have had many bouts in the past but this match is going to be the biggest of them all as it is on the biggest event in the NAWA history, WrestleClash III

Prediction:

Elix Skipper vs Alex Shelley vs Spanky:
This match is a tiebreaker in a round robin tournament where all three wrestlers who competed in said tournament each got a point a piece and was tied. The winner of this match will receive an NAWA Cruiserweight Title shot this Thursday night on Glory.

Prediction:

Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger vs Johnny Excalibur and Hi Tech:
Both these teams have been wrestling in Japan recently and during one of the shows on tour, Excalibur and Hi Tech beat Simon and Swinger in a tag team match, and this match has been signed because Simon wants a chance to even the score for what he feels is a humiliating defeat to a robot from the future and a knight from the past.

Prediction:

And Last but certainly not least....

The Winner Gets Custody of F.R.E.D:
Richard Ramos Ricardo vs Twizted Youth:

This match perhaps is the most antcipated match on the entire card, as both of these fine young athletes will be squaring off for the custody of the mexican sensation known as F.R.E.D. Truely this match will be a catch as can match as the evil, bastard lawyer Ricardo faces off against the leet favorite Twizted Youth. This match will be mindbending, breathtaking, death defying, spine tingling. Don't you dare miss this match as it will blow you away.
