GLWF Action TV: 9/10/05...

americamamushiPosted on 07/25/06 at 02:53:12

Welcome to GLWF Action TV!  We're coming to you live for the first time from the Birch Run Expo Center in Birch Run, Michigan!  Let's get down to the ring and down to the action!

Battle Royal to determine the #1 Contender for the GLWF Television Title: Ernest Miller, Harry Smith, Josh Abercrombie, Rene Dupree, Ron Killings, Shannon Moore, Shocker, & Siaki

We start things off tonight with a quick elimination after only 8 seconds of action.  Not only that, but it was by accident.  Ernest Miller threw his arms up in the air taunting someone on the other side of the ring and whacked Dupree in the face.  Abercrombie saw an opportunity and pulled down the top-rope causing Dupree to fall out of the ring as he stumbled backwards.Miller couldn't believe it.  He and Dupree argued with the referee standing outside the ring as everyone fought on paying them little attention in the opening moments of the match.  Exactly a minute and 40 seconds later Abercrombie clotheslined Miller over the top rope and unto Dupree as they were still arguing with the ref that Dupree's elimination didn't count.  Killings got on quite a roll and started becoming a dominant force in the match.  He sent Siaki to the outside after a flying dropkick and then shortly after caused Shocker to fall out of the ring after hitting him with a spin kick.  Shocker was furious, but looked as if he was going to go to the back peacefully, until he slid under the ring while the referee turned his attention back to the action inside the ring.  Killings managed to stay on top of things as the match had already been whittled down to 4 people, Killings, Smith, Moore and Abercrombie.  Abercrombie and Moore hadn't fought with eachother at all during the match and no one was sure if they were going to start now.  They haven't exactly been getting along lately, but they have been partners on a few occasions.  They started arguing and shoving eachother and eventually things broke down into a brawl as on the otherside of the ring Smith had just barely escaped elimination.  Killings hit the Consequence on Smith and it looked like he was going to make another attempt to throw him out, but suddenly something grabbed Killings' foot!  It's Shocker!  Shocker crawled back out and grabbed Killings' foot.  Killings mistakenly turned his attention to Shocker and jawed with him a little bit.  Just enough time for Smith to muster up the energy to dump Killings over the top.  Killings and Shocker brawled all the way to the back as Smith took a breather and watched Abercrombie and Moore's fist fight.  It seemed that Abercrombie and Moore had forgotten all about Smith and were just concerned with eachother.  Abercrombie got Moore down on the ground and went up top, but Smith had caught his breath now and darted over, knocking Abercrombie from the top-rope to the outside.  He and Moore began duking it out.  Both men were giving it all they had left in their tanks as Moore is still trying to prove something to the GCW and Harry Smith has been waiting to make an impact his father could be proud of ever since he came to the GLWF.  High risk paid off for Moore as he hit a flying armdrag, but the second time he went to the well it went dry.  He came off the top for a flying crossbody block, but Smith caught him, tossed him up on his shoulder and hit the Running Powerslam!  It was then just elementary as Smith sent Moore over the top-rope, winning the battle royal and becoming the #1 Contender for the TV title!

Clara Michaels introduces H.B. Cade and Bryan Danielson and begins to introduce the new, debuting wrestler when she is rudely interrupted by the words "Hold it right there you high class whore!  I'll handle my introduction!  This next match is scheduled for ONE FALL! I weight in tonight at an astonishing 242 pounds... I hail... from Green Bay, Wisconsiiiiiin!  *He appears through the curtain* Mmmmmmmmmmmmmisteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrr..... Kennedyyyyyyyyyyyy!!"  He drops the microphone he came through the curtain with, walks down the aisle, enters the ring, rudely snatches Clara Michaels' microphone from her hands and stares her dead in the eyes, "KEN-NE-DYYYYY!"  He acts like he's going to hand her the microphone back but when she reaches for it he drops it.

"The Showstopper" H.B. Cade vs. "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs. Mr. Kennedy

The match starts off with H.B. Cade and Mr. Kennedy.  Kennedy takes early control with a mix of chain wrestling and dirty tactics which seem to work for him as it kept him one step ahead of Cade.  Cade eventually managed to tag in Danielson which elicited a great response from the fans which Kennedy didn't seem to appreciate much.  The two chain wrestled and stayed evenly matches until finally Danielson was able to gain the upperhand and eventually hit a string of moves that sent Kennedy to the outside.  Danielson followed him out there, but ended up getting thrown into the corner post by Kennedy out of sheer desperation.  Cade came over and the three brawled on the outside until the ref almost made the count out, but Kennedy and Danielson got in just in the nick of time.  Kennedy quickly tagged in Cade, not wanting to deal with Danielson anymore.  Cade took control of Danielson at first since he had a bit more recent down time in the match, but Danielson managed to pull things back in his favor.  He had Cade reeling.  Cade went for a desperation Superkick, but Danielson ducked and hit a Rydeen Bomb, which he didn't hold onto for the pin attempt.  Danielson wasn't quite done with Cade... or so he thought.  Mr. Kennedy leaned in and far as he could and tagged himself in.  Danielson didn't even realize what had happened, but Kennedy darted into the ring, grabbed Danielson and unceremoniously chucked him to the floor, popped up top and hit the quick Kenton Bomb for the pinfall.  Danielson was none to pleased about what happened and tried to argue his case to the ref, but to no avail.

Triangle Match:
Mr. Kennedy defeated H.B. Cade and Bryan Danielson when Mr. Kennedy pinned H.B. Cade after the Kenton Bomb in 0:12:51.
Rating: *** 1/2

After the match Mr. Kennedy grabs the microphone away from Clara Michaels before she can announce the winner. "And the winner of this match... as a result of being so damn talented.... Mmmmmmmmiiiiiiisteeeeeeerrrrrr..... Kennedyyyyyyyyyyyy...."  He pauses, shushes Clara's mouth with his finger and stares her dead in the eye again, getting about half an inch from her face. "KEN-NE-DYYYYY!!!" drops the microphone infront of her instead of handing it to her again and leaves.

Main Event: Samoa Joe vs. Nigel McGuinness

Before the match even could get started the Age of Shane (Michael Shane, Austin Aries, Chris Masters and Traci Brooks) all appear at the entrance curtain with chairs and sit down to watch fellow member Nigel McGuinness wrestle Samoa Joe.  Joe was a little leery of them being out there, but tried not to let it distract him, which worked less and less for him as the match progressed.  For the most part Samoa Joe was in control as he held the power over McGuinness.  However when things came down to technical ability they were pretty evenly match, and McGuinness even used his European technical prowess to come out on top of Samoa Joe several times.  Michael Shane has obviously made quite a find for himself in McGuinness.  This is the second week in a row that McGuinness has held his own against a physically larger opponent thanks to his technical skills.  Eventually Michael Shane & Chris Masters made their way down closer to the ring.  Joe and the ref warned them about getting involved, but Shane kept stating that they was just down there to "get a closer look" and their intentions were purely innocent.  Yeah, if Michael Shane has an innocent intention in his body then Mae Young & The Great Moolah should do a lesbian pictorial for Hustler.  Samoa Joe tried to clothesline McGuinness to the outside, but Nigel low bridged him and Joe went tumbling to the floor.  McGuinness distracted the ref while Masters and Shane doubled teamed Samoa Joe and then rolled in back in.  Nigel quickly capitalized on the dazed Joe, hits a front-layout suplex onto the top-rope and follows it by hitting the Tower of London!  He puts his feet on the ropes for good measure and gets the three count.

[Main Event]:
Nigel McGuinness pinned Samoa Joe after the Tower of London in 0:16:27.
Rating: **** 1/4
[Michael Shane interfered against Samoa Joe.]

Samoa Joe has once again been taken down by the Age of Shane.  Joe is such a dominant wrestling force, but even he cannot seem to overcome the Age of Shane and their wolf pack mentality.  Next week we'll be back in Kalamazoo, Michigan at the GLWF Facilities and here's what we have in store for you: Gunner Scott will be in action against Nigel McGuinness, two teams who seem to be on the brink of breaking up will face eachother as Rene Dupree & Ernest Miller take on Shannon Moore and Josh Abercrombie, but can either team even co-exist long enough to wrestle their opponents?  Ron Killings will go one-on-one with Shocker, after what happened tonight Samoa Joe has been granted a #1 Contender's match against Raven and Michael Shane, Chris Masters and Tracie Brooks have been banned form the building, and Aries and McGuinness banned form ringside!  And in the main event Harry Smith will get his chance to capture the Television title as he faces Austin Aries.  Plus we'll hear from Bryan Danielson!  So be sure to tune in next week wrestling fans!  Same wrestling time, same wrestling channel!

You gotta love it. Kenedy invades the GLWF! in the words of a great man I hart him. :) Can't wait to see what he does

I'm kinda sad that Josh Abercrombie didn't win that battle royal...he's awesome, despite looking like a child molester.

What I was pretty stoked for was that Nigel McGuinness won over Samoa Joe, McGuinness is full of that easy to hate charisma, and he a great worker to boot.

Can't say that I cared about the other match, the only guy I'm familar with is Bryan Danielson, and he lost,  I'm assuming the other two are WWE workers.
