He then tells the crowd that he will win the title and show the world why he is the "king of the mountain".

TNA Circuit Update

Week one was not that bad, Suprised that A1 came out on top and that Jarrett lasted only 4 minutes into the Battle Royal. The Aj Styles. Chris Daniels/ Team Canada match was pure junk. Mark "Slick" Johnson the referee in that match called it way to fast.

Rating wise the card got ** 3/4 stars not bad for what we got. TV ratings were solid with a 3.1. Attendance was a low with only 9,050 taking in the show. For the night we brought in just over $23,600 dollars, not bad but it costed $48,100 dollars to produce the show. Needless to say we lost over $23,608 dollars. Goes without saying that if this continues, TNA will be off the air by Christmas. Next week show looks promising, early ticket sales has management smiling.
Murphy42782Posted on 07/09/06 at 15:48:45

Eric Young is a member of team canada, so david young looks out of place. Especially since Simon Diamond is on the roster. They combine to make 2/3 of diamonds in the rough. But overall good card, little disappointed with A1 as world champ. Also weird inclusion of bull buchanan. But ill see where you are goin before i rush to judgement on your circuit. Im pumped for the X-Division Title tourney.

Smiley was dead series when he stepped into the ring and maybe at first the champ underestimated his competition. Match for the vacant NWA World Tag Team Titles
Team 3d (Brother Ray/Brother Devon) vs. America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris/James Storm)

This was for the gold and both teams were ready to battle. Referee Andrew Thomas had his hands full this entire match as it seemed both teams threw out the rule book. If team 3D were not doing illegal tags and chokes, AMW's Gail Kim was interfering by jumping on the apron or attacking the wrestlers when they got near her. Late in the match Brother Devon entered the ring without a tag and helped Ray attack Storm in the corner, This brought in Harris as all 4 were in the ring, Thomas was able to get two of them out when Ray went for the Brother bomb. On Harris then went for the pin, Gail Kim reaches up and puts Harris' foot on the rope. That was all Thomas could take and disqualified both teams.

TNA Cicuit Update

The Numbers

One thing I will say is that the card ratings have been consistant this weeks rating was ** 3/4. After last weeks impressive 4.15 TV Rating they slipped back to normal with a 3.25. I guess last week everyone wanted to see what the X-division was going to be about. Attendance was just over 9050 with TV Revenue of $11,000. Merchendise was up with $5,430 in sales, I guess the new Norman Smiley "Can you smell what the smile is cooking" shirts are hot. Probably not. The gate was just over $7,055.  Making tonights take $23,485. Production cost was around $35,500 so again TNA posted a loss of $12,065. Good News is Last week after we revised or numbers we made a profit of just over $1,675 but in 3 weeks of operation TNA has lost almost $34,892.

Injury Update

"Big Papa Pump" Scott Steiner pulled a back muscle durring his match with sting and will be out atlest a mimimum of 3 weeks. Doctors will re evaluate im at that time

Commings and Goings
