Pre-Game Show Match
"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles/"American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs. "Primetime" Elix Skipper/Low-Ki
Our pre-game show match was a tag team match that has some bad blood behind it with AJ Styles teaming with his new partner, "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson taking on "Primetime" Elix Skipper and Low-Ki. In a match with Skipper back in July, Paul London, Styles' old partner, suffered a severe back injury which has caused the young star to retire. That was bad enough, but Skipper was actually BRAGGING about it, which angered Styles and Low-Ki alike. Ki helped Skipper though because they are partners, which prompted Danielson to make his debut to save Styles. Danielson and London are old friends, having trained together at Shawn Michaels' Texas Wrestling Academy. Danielson and Styles have a history too, and they were willing to put past differences aside for this common cause.

The crowd was a little slow to warm up to AmDrag, but once they saw what he could do in the ring, they came around. AmDrag and the Phenomenal One worked exceptionally well together, whereas Skipper and Low-Ki seemed a little off their game. Reports are that Low-Ki is not pleased with Skipper's recent attitude, but they still are former World Tag Team champions. Ki was wrestling this match cleanly, using his high impact martial arts background to wear down his opponents, while Skipper was more prone to using underhanded tactics. Ki reprimanded Skipper for it, to which Skipper said he would stop. And he did, until late in the match while referee JD Sanders wasn't looking, Primetime smashed Styles in the head with what appeared to be brass knuckles! Low-Ki was oblivious to this fact as he picked Styles up and hit the Ki Krusher to put this match away.

Elix Skipper and Low-Ki defeated AJ Styles and Bryan Danielson when Low-Ki pinned Styles with the Ki Krusher in 0:10:45.
Rating: **** 1/4

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Charlotte Coliseum was filled to capacity as Global Championship Wrestling presented Summer Sizzler, it's 17th pay-per-view event! We were in Charlotte, North Carolina, a city rich with wrestling history, and we were looking to make a little more with the GCW's first ever Elimination Chamber match! Brock Lesnar walks in the World Heavyweight champion, but with Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Randy Orton, John Bradshaw Layfield, and Eddie Guerrero joining him, would he walk out the champion? Three other titles are on the line, with a total of 8 action-packed matches! Let's go to the ring!

Match #1
"Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels/Booker T/Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. The Prophecy (w/ Daffney)
On paper, Daniels, Booker, and Mysterio make an odd team. Daniels and Mysterio had an epic feud late last year that included many brutal matches, so everyone was wondering how on Earth they would be able to coexist in this match. Never underestimate how having a common enemy can bring alliances together. The fact team worked well together, seeming to stay a step ahead of the Prophecy contingent, which had a lot to do with the fact that once again, CM Punk refused to do any of his own dirty work. Late in the match when O'Haire and Goldust had slowed Daniels down, Punk demanded to be tagged into the match to get the fall. However, the Fallen Angel showed he was playing possum and hit the Last Rites out of nowhere! Booker and Mysterio cut off the save and this one was over!

Booker T, Christopher Daniels and Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated The Prophecy (CM Punk, Goldust and Sean O'Haire) when C. Daniels pinned Punk with the Last Rites in 0:10:03.
Rating: ****

Just that quickly this match was over and Daniels had won the first real battle with CM Punk, but this war is far from over. Early reports indicate that GCW officials are working on signing another Daniels vs. Punk match that could take place at our next pay-per-view event, Retribution.

WHO IS ERIC ANGLE'S PARTNER?
Our World Tag Team Title match would be next, but first Mario Riviera was backstage with Eric Angle. Riviera asked Angle to spill the beans on who is partner was going to be, but Eric stood firm, telling Riviera he would know when everybody else knows. But he did guarantee one thing, and that was Team Angle would suffer a huge blow tonight because he and his partner would become the NEW World Tag Team champions.

Match #2
World Tag Team Title Match
The World's Greatest Tag Team (c) vs. Eric Angle/???
Before the match began, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin got on the microphone and told everyone that Eric Angle probably didn't even have a partner because, "His own family hates him. Why would he have any friends?" Eric Angle came out by himself, which seemed to prove to the WGTT that their suspicions were right and Eric had nobody. That would be the furthest from the truth as he grabbed the microphone from ring announcer William Buck. "Ladies and gentlemen, my tag team partner... "THE WHOLE F'N SHOW" ROB VAN DAM!" The roof nearly came out the building as Rob Van Dam was back! he look on Benjamin's face told the story. If you'll remember back, it was during a match with Benjamin that RVD suffered the neck injury that would cause him to miss over one full year of action with a neck injury. Well, he's back down, and Haas and Benjamin didn't know what to do about it. RVD wasn't tentative at all in the ring despite his surgically repaired neck, and though he had a bit of ring rust, he is definitely back. Haas and Benjamin tried everything they could, but Eric Angle and RVD were firing on all cylinders. In the final stages of this match, Eric Angle was the legal man with Benjamin. Haas grabbed a steel chair from outside the ring and came in with the intentions of getting disqualified, but RVD cut him off with the Van Daminator! meanwhile Angle hit the Angle Slam and got the 1-2-3! We have new World Tag Team champions!

Eric Angle and Rob Van Dam defeated The World's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) when E. Angle pinned S. Benjamin with the Angle Slam in 0:08:08.
Rating: ** 1/2
(Eric Angle and Rob Van Dam won the GCW World Tag Team Titles.)

Eric Angle and Rob Van Dam celebrated as they were handed their titles, much to the approval of the Charlotte Coliseum. Eric Angle made a guarantee, and with the help of RVD, cashed in and ended the highly impressive title reign of the World's Greatest Tag Team. Haas and Benjamin are already asking for their rematch, but for now, the night belongs to Eric Angle and the Whole F'N Show.

Match #3
Falls-Count-Anywhere Match
Abyss vs. Steve Bradley
Abyss and Steve Bradley have been going at each other for weeks now, and it finally culminated in this match, which would prove to be a mat classic. Counter after counter, and... ah, who am I kidding? This was an all out brawl. These guys have been fighting with great intensity and hatred for the past few weeks, but they found a way to step it up even more. Though falls counted anywhere, there weren't to many pin attempts as if one of these two got a pinfall, in their minds, they wouldn't be able to fight as long. They used all of the standard weapons around ring side, like the ring bell and chairs, but late in the match, Abyss amped it up a notch when he pulled a bag out from under the ring. We weren't sure what was going on, but when he opened it up and dumped it all over the ring, we knew we were about to see something disgusting because the bag was filled with THUMBTACKS! Abyss through Bradley to the ropes for the Black Hole Slam, but Bradley hooked the ropes and went to the outside. Abyss was pissed and went after him, only to be caught in the stomach with a shot from Mofo, Bradley's black baseball bat. Bradley got back in the ring and was looking for a power bomb onto the tacks, but Abyss fell down Bradley's back, picked him up and hit the Black Hole Slam on the tacks! Bradley rolled around in the tacks out of sheer pain, several of them sticking into his back and shining in the lights. Abyss made the pin and won this awesome war!

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Abyss pinned Steve Bradley with the Black Hole Slam in 0:09:38.
Rating: **** 1/4

Even in a losing effort, Steve Bradley has nothing to be ashamed of as both he and Abyss had an awesome match. Bradley is an unpopular guy, but the fans in Charlotte respect what he did and gave he and Abyss a huge standing ovation. Abyss' roll continues with this victory.

COMING SOON TO GCW...
A blank screen is shown which is soon illuminated by many flash bulbs, showing a very attractive woman in a short skirt and the name "MELINA" flashes across the bottom of the screen. More flash bulbs go off and a man wearing a fur coat appears and the name "JOHNNY NITRO" flashes across the bottom. Yet more flash bulbs and another man dressed in a similar fashion to the first appears, the name "JOEY MERCURY" flashing across the bottom. "MNM... coming soon to Global Championship Wrestling."

Match #4
Cruiserweight Title Match
Frankie "The Future" Kazarian (c) vs. "The Amazing" Red vs. Petey Williams vs. "The Notorious K.I.D." Kid Kash
Frankie Kazarian talked himself into this match. After walking out for a countout in a title defense against Red and causing a double countout in the number-one-contenders match between Petey Williams and Kid Kash, Kazarian thought he had pulled off a great coo. Unfortunately for the Future, Tommy Dreamer didn't see it that way and ordered him to defend against all three men in a Fatal Fourway. This was not under elimination rules, so the championship advantage was completely eliminated. If Kazarian anted to keep the title, he was going to have to score a pinfall or a submission. The match was held under tornado rules, so all four men were in the ring at the same time, and if you're a fan of Kid Kash, that was bad news. As has been the theme of his GCW career so far, every one ganged up on the ultra irritating Kash right away, triple teaming him and essentially taking him out of the match for the first half of it. Kazarian, Red, and Petey would all go at it from there, but every time Kash would try to get back involved, it would be as if they all stopped what they were doing to put him out of it again. The end of this match wasn't going to come until someone caught a lucky break, and it was Kazarian who got that break when Petey Williams was wiped out by a huge dive to the floor by Red (who also jumped on Kash). Kazarian had been down in the ring thanks to the Canadian Destroyer from Petey, but he had time to recover and roll out of the way of the InfraRed. Kazarian quickly hit the Wave of the Future and the Cruiserweight Title as still his.

Four Corners Match:
Frankie Kazarian defeated Kid Kash, Petey Williams and Red when Kazarian pinned Red with the Wave of the Future in 0:16:02.
Rating: *****
(Frankie Kazarian retained the GCW Cruiserweight Title.)

A great match, and a great escape by the Future to retain his title. The challengers aren't going to stop coming though so he had better be prepared.

BROCK LESNAR IS READY THE THE ELIMINATION CHAMBER
We had an interview with World Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, and he was confident going into his unprecedented title defense in the Elimination Chamber. The Monster From Minnesota said that he has fought too long and too hard to let the World Title escape his grasp this soon. He put over his 5 opponents, but said that when the smoke cleared, he would still be the World Heavyweight champion. John Bradshaw Layfield joined him and told the champ that he was going to regret not striking a deal with JBL, because HE would be the World Heavyweight champion when this night came to a close.

Match #5
North American Title Match
"The Alpha Male" Monty Brown (c) vs. Rhyno
We still are not quite sure why Rhyno came back from his injury a few weeks ago to attack Monty Brown, but I don't think the Alpha Male cared much about the reasoning. All he knew is that someone was challenging his territory, and they were in for a fight. This match was bowling shoe ugly, but that's what happens sometimes when you get two huge men who don't like each other wrestling. Like two wild animals, these two grappled and jockeyed for the advantage, but neither being too successful at it. That was until the fight spilled to the floor, where they continued to slug it out. Rhyno temporarily slowed Brown down with an eye rake, and then surprised everyone when he smashed him with a steel chair, leading to a blatant disqualification.

Monty Brown defeated Rhyno by disqualification in 0:06:25.
Rating: * 3/4
(Monty Brown retained the GCW North American Title.)

No one could understand why Rhyno so blatantly got himself disqualified. He had a great opportunity to take the North American Title from the long standing champion, but he nailed Brown with a chair in plain sight of the referee. It was as if Rhyno didn't even want to win the prestigious North American Title. Rhyno didn't leave ringside without hitting Brown one more time with that chair, leaving the champion completely wiped out.

Match #6
Matt Hardy/Mickie James vs. "The Rated R Superstar" Edge (Television champion)/Lita
We have never seen Mickie James in the ring before, but from what we've seen of her, she is a tough cookie. Edge and Lita were not at all pleased with having to wrestle this match. For as upset as they were, Hardy and James were an equal amount of excited. Edge and Lita seemed to be wrestling this match on the defensive with a mentality of wrestling to not lose as opposed to wrestling to win. There were a couple interesting scenarios when Matt Hardy was in the match with Lita, but Lita would promptly run and tag out to Edge. Lita's experience helped her when she was in the ring with Mickie James though, and it looked like she had her put away after she hit the Twist of Fate and was going up top for the Moonsault. Matt Hardy caught her eye though and the two started jawing back and forth. Hardy then taunted Edge and got him to come into the ring, where referee Antonio Santangelo cut him off. During that distraction, Hardy shoved Lita off the top rope and caused her to bump hard on the match. A moment later, Mickie James hit a wicked Tornado DDT and this one was emphatically over.

Mickie James and Matt Hardy defeated Edge and Lita when Mickie pinned Lita with the Tornado DDT in 0:08:42.
Rating: ***

What a great debut for Mickie James as she got the pin on a more experienced competitor in Lita. Edge looked like he wanted to fight some more, but when Matt Hardy got in a stance to get it on, the Television champion reconsidered and got Lita out of the ring and went to the back, taunting Hardy about the fact that he's still the TV champ. I have a good feeling that another match is on the horizon for these two.

LANCE STORM SAYS THE BEST IS YET TO COME
Before Lance Storm's match with Chris Jericho, he was stopped by Mario Riviera who asked Storm about his new attitude. Storm said just because some people don't like it doesn't mean it's a "bad" attitude. He said that it was a winning attitude, and he was going to prove it by defeating Jericho tonight. He concluded the brief interview with, "And Mario, the best is yet to come."

Match #7
"Y2J" Chris Jericho vs. Lance Storm
Despite Lance Storm's decree of victory in the pre-match interview, Chris Jericho had other plans as these two went at it in a rematch of Storm's "retirement" match from Chaos Reigns. Storm said that the best is yet to come, but he was finding defeating Y2J to be far more difficult than he originally predicted. These two had a great match a month ago, but with the added influence of aggression and revenge involved, it had that extra spark to it to make it a fantastic match. These two know each other very well, and it led to a great display of counter wrestling. Storm took control of much of this match like the ring general he is, which is really saying something as not many can say that they can keep up with Chris Jericho on the mat. Jericho fought back though, hitting the Breakdown and the sleeper mat slam for nearfalls. Jericho kept building up the offense and went to clothesline Storm, but the Calgary native low bridged and sent Y2J to the floor. Storm went for a slingshot plancha, but Jericho got out of the way and Storm hit the floor. Storm immediately clutched his knee in serious pain, which brought referee JD Sanders out to check on him while Jericho got back in the ring. Storm grabbed a hold of Sanders, which was strange, but we soon figured out why when two men jumped the railing and were in the ring. Jericho turned around and the two men nailed him with a double flapjack! We got a better look at the men and saw that they were DOUG WILLIAMS and PAUL BURCHILL! Burchill picked Jericho up and hit him with a backflip Soviet suplex that he calls the C4 which got a big "Oooooh!" from the crowd. Just as quickly as they got in the ring, they got out, and lo and behold, Lance Storm's knee was miraculously better. Storm jumped in the ring and put Y2J in the Maple Leaf, which Jericho had no choice but to tap out to.

Lance Storm made Chris Jericho submit to the Maple Leaf in 0:15:34.
Rating: **** 1/4

Williams and Burchill jumped in the ring and celebrated with Lance Storm. I guess this is what he meant by bigger and better things. Jericho got up slowly and had a look of pure hate on his face as he watched Storm, Williams, and Burchill celebrate up the aisle.

TOMMY DREAMER HAS SOME WORDS WITH KEN DOANE
Ken Doane was in Commissioner Tommy Dreamer's office, and he made the mistake of coming in like he had far more important places to be. Dreamer, who is an old school wrestler himself, gave the Teen Phenom a bit of a lecture, telling him that he has a plethora of talent, but he has had a very bad attitude since day one and it's costing him. Doane didn't want to listen until Dreamer told him he was being pulled from the singles division for awhile and put in the tag team division. Doane argued that the tag division was below him and he deserved to be wrestling for championships, not in "useless tag team matches." Dreamer said that was exactly what he was talking about, and why this new tag team partner would be good for him. Doane inquired as to who it was that would be his partner. Dreamer's response? "You'll know tomorrow when you're wrestling the Bashams."

Match #8
MAIN EVENT
Elimination Chamber for the World Heavyweight Title
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Kurt Angle vs. "The Crippler" Chris Benoit vs. Randy Orton (w/ Bob Orton Jr.) vs. John Bradshaw Layfield (w/ Lamont) vs. "Latino Heat" Eddie Guerrero
The crowd was buzzing as the Elimination Chamber was lowered around the ring and all six competitors were introduced. The order of entry in a match like this is extremely important, and Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit got the short end of that stick. However, they are known for having a ton of stamina, so if anyone could last until the end of a match like this, it's these two former World champions. Considering they were the first two, it was a little shocking at first that they came out so aggressively. But then their plans became more obvious. Both Angle and Benoit knew they'd have to be in the match for a long time, and they were hoping to eliminate the first man right away before the first 5 minute period was over and they had to deal with two other men. There were many nearfalls in the first 5 minute period with both Angle and the Crippler using a lot of great mat moves to get pin attempts. However after the first period was over, things got progressing worse for Benoit as John Bradshaw Layfield's chamber opened up.

It looked like JBL and Angle had worked out a deal as Beniot was double teamed the second JBL got into the match. Benoit is a ruthless competitor and did well for himself against the odds, catching JBL with a German suplex right out of the chamber onto the steel! JBL was temporarily put out of commission as Benoit went back at Angle, hitting him with a trifecta of German suplexes. The Crippler went up top and hit a diving headbutt on Angle and then went back out to get JBL, but JBL caught him off guard with the Stock Market Crash out of nowhere! JBL picked Benoit up and with a fallaway slam, through the Rabid Wolverine back into the ring where he was able to pin him, making Benoit our first elimination of the match.

JBL and Angle didn't have to worry about fighting each other yet as the next chamber opened to release "Latino Heat" Eddie Guerrero, who came out with a lot of fire and held his own well against JBL and the now more abused Kurt Angle. JBL and Angle were still working together, but the match degenerated a bit more when at the 15 minute mark, the third chamber opened to bring Randy Orton into the match, which means Brock Lesnar got the "dream draw" if you will. As the ring was filling up and everyone was destroying themselves to make eliminations, the JBL/Angle alliance soon degenerated. Angle had reversed an R.K.O. attempt by Orton and had him in the Ankle Lock, having Orton in danger of being eliminated after only two minutes in the match. JBL saw this opportunity though and after giving Orton a couple of stomps, he nailed Angle with the Stock Market Crash! JBL made the quick pin and Kurt Angle was out of this match!

JBL was exhausted, but so far he had eliminated two competitors and looked to be in good shape, but Brock Lesnar was about to enter the match and he was fresh. Finally the 5 minute period was up and the World Heavyweight champion entered the match, but he found it difficult as all 3 men immediately jumped him, knowing he was the biggest remaining threat. Lesnar was getting beaten down until he raged up and starting hitting everything that moves, even almost punching Jimmy Appleseed before he realized who it was. Eddie ran at Lesnar but was met with a huge backdrop to the steel. Randy Orton met a huge clothesline, and JBL took the brunt of an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. A couple of minutes later, Guerrero took the advantage after a well placed low blow on the champ, and followed up with a flying dropkick. Guerrero got a little cocky and grabbed Lesnar in a rear waistlock for a German suplex attempt, but Lesnar showed how capable he is on the mat when he reversed it with a standing switch and brought Guerrero down with a reverse cradle that got him the 3 and eliminating Latino Heat! Guerrero was pissed, getting into Appleseed's face and complaining about a fast count. Guerrero then turned his attention to Lesnar, blindsiding him with a pair of brass knuckles that he had hidden in his tights! What a sour loser. Guerrero thought he was having a bad night, but not nearly as bad as it was going to get as we were all surprised to see MICK FOLEY run out from the back and level Guerrero with a clothesline! Foley apparently has had enough of Eddie's taunts and what he did to Chuck Palumbo a week ago crossed the line. Guerrero had been asking for this, but he seemed to be reconsidering as the Hardcore Legend was kicking the crap out of him. The crowd chanted Foley's name as he dropped Guerrero with a double underhook DDT on the ramp. Foley was picking Guerrero up for more damage, but Latino Heat hit a quick low blow and stumbled away to the back. Foley gave chase, but the GCW Official Brigade slowed him up.

Guerrero was out and the 3 remaining competitors were definitely worse for wear, but they all seemed to realize it was time to push it into overdrive as the next several minutes of the match were fantastic. Nearfall after nearfall came as Lesnar, Orton, and JBL were fighting through the pain to hit something that would put a man away. Orton was able to duck a Stock Market Crash attempt from JBL, and drop him with the R.K.O. He went for the cover, but was surprised when Lesnar scooped him by the leg and put him in the Brock Lock! Orton was begging for someone to help him, yelling at both Cowboy Bob and JBL to stop Lesnar, but Bob Orton Jr. was outside the chamber and JBL was floored still from the R.K.O. Despite Orton's bravado from the previous weeks about how nobody can make him tap out, he had nowhere to go as the muscular Lesnar wrenched back on the hold more and more and had to tap out, leaving just Lesnar and JBL!

Lesnar was on fire and JBL looked like he had been through a car crash, and once he got back to his feet, he realized what kind of dire straights he was in. JBL begged off as the Monster From Minnesota went in for the kill, only to be stopped in his tracks by a thumb to the eye. JBL beat away at Lesnar with huge clubbing forearms and punches that rocked the champ, before whipping him hard into the corner. JBL hit the far ropes and almost took Lesnar's head off with the Stock Market Crash! The crowd was in disbelief as JBL made the cover for the one... two... thr... KICKOUT! Lesnar kicked out! JBL couldn't believe it as he got in Appleseed's face as the fans in Charlotte exploded with cheers that Lesnar was still in it. JBL was stunned as he got in position to hit Lesnar with another one, but Lesnar ducked, picked JBL up, and brought him down with the F-5! Lesnar crawled over to JBL, made the cover, and retained the World Heavyweight Title!

Elimination Chamber Match:
Brock Lesnar won a 6-man Elimination Chamber Match:
x K. Angle and Benoit started out.
x John Bradshaw Layfield entered at 0:05:00
x JBL defeated Benoit after a fallaway slam in 0:08:22
x Eddie Guerrero entered at 0:10:00
x Randy Orton entered at 0:15:00
x JBL defeated K. Angle after the Stock Market Crash in 0:17:40
x Brock Lesnar entered at 0:20:00
x Lesnar defeated E. Guerrero after a reverse cradle in 0:25:52
x Lesnar defeated R. Orton after the Brock Lock in 0:36:33
x Lesnar defeated JBL after the F-5 in 0:39:33
Rating: *****
(Brock Lesnar retained the GCW World Heavyweight Title.)

The Elimination Chamber was everything we expected and more! Lesnar said he was willing to take on all comers, and he showed that he is highly capable of overcoming the odds to keep the title around his waist. Lesnar is a spectacular athlete, and it is going to take someone special to get the championship off of him any time soon. That's not to say he won't have stiff competition, and the challengers are not going to go away. What a night! Thanks for joining us everybody!

MatteusPosted on 07/04/06 at 01:20:51

Great opening match, I think I'll like the team of Styles and AmDragon. Love the Ki/Skipper stuff too.

Oh man... Daniels/Punk. That's gonna be sooo awesome. Why must you make me wait?!

RVD!!! Wow, I almost forgot he was around and injured. Eric Angle's a champion! Wow, my night's already made and we're... what, two matches in?

MNM!!!!!!! Hahaha, okay I'll say it. MNM rules... so hard. You just couldn't resist for long ;)

I actually would have picked Petey to win this match, but Kazarian did just win the title back. I've never been a huge Kazarian fan, but he's been great as champ.

BROCK LESNAR IS READY THE THE ELIMINATION CHAMBER
...no shit :P

...interestingness with Rhyno getting himself DQed. I'd imagine it's to soften him up, but not like he's getting another shot TONIGHT, ya know? Unless he's just setting him up for JBL?

Mickie James is... interesting for this role. Not much else to say, though this is a decent job of stalling rather than blowing your wad in two months (cough cough WWE cough)

Williams and Burchill!! Wow, Jericho has gotten beat on his way out the door (if the rumors are true ;)), and Storm is looking great. I doubt you'll be using Lance so much in a full-time wrestling position in the future, but him in a managerial role for Williams and Burchill would be kinda cool.

Kinda unfortunate that Benoit (the only other face in the match) would be eliminated first and Lesnar would come out last, but that led to some interesting dynamics in the meantime. Lesnar looked like God himself at the end of that match. No surprise he went over, but damn... he's Superman! Wonder who is gonna take the belt of him. Everytime you see "someone special" is gonna take away the title, I think Eugene is going over Brock :P ... great show, Ry!!!
rey619Posted on 07/06/06 at 15:23:41

Has anyone ever had an Elimination Match that didn't get a 5-star rating?

I'm a little surprised Angle and RVD won the straps, but methinks they're only transitional champs for the team of Doane and... ? or MNM steal the straps. You do have  a strong tag-division.

I kinda knew Burchill and Williams were debuting soon as they were fired from GLWF, but I didn't expect to see Danielson here. One-time appearance?

The Rhino vs Monty Brown feud is almost animalistic... you have a rhino fighting a... whatever Brown is, but they both belong on the Serengeti, that's for sure.

Good PPV, you can't complain when you pull two 5-star matches!
dabirdmanPosted on 07/07/06 at 05:41:42

You can and I have had a elimination match only pull a 3

I agree with Rey that Angle and Van Dam wont have them long.

Lesnar is a god among men. Would love to see who if ever takes the strap from him

I also agree that the alpha male/Ryno match was something else,

Great PPV 2 five star matches are something to be proud of.

Looking foward to more
