Raw comes on live as we see Eric Bischoff makes his way to the ring.

He says that since Brock Lesnar is now exclusive to Smackdown, then the Undisputed title is disputed. RAW fans deserve their own Champion, exclusive to RAW. Stephanie can call the Undertaker the #1 Contender all she wants but everybody know who the true #1 Contender is. It was easy for the Undertaker to jump to Smackdown and be a big fish in a little pond. But he knew staying on RAW would be like swimming with the sharks! Now I give you the REAL #1 Contender, Triple H!

Triple H clarifies that Brock Lesnar left because he was afraid of him. Eric says (again) that if he signed Triple H to Nitro, then he would have won the Monday Night Wrestling wars. He opens up a briefcase and retrieves the old WCW World Championship belt. Raw needs a champion, so I give you a champion. I hereby announce that Triple H is the 1st and New Raw World Champion!

Just then the music of the WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon struts down the ring.

He says I heard that you were going to pull a stunt like this. Bischoff says it needs to be done. Since Lesnar won't wrestle Triple H then He will become the Raw Worlds Champion. McMahon tells Bischoff he will not let him water down the Worlds title by bringing in this thing. There will be no Raw worlds title. Unless you can get Lesnar to join Raw, Raw has no World Champion. He takes the belt from Triple H and makes his way out the ring.

Triple H looks at Bischoff; He asks what the hell is going on? He tries to calm Triple H down when Ric Flair's music hits as he makes his way to the ring.

Flair tells Triple H that it's a good thing you weren't given that belt. I had to fight and scrap to win that belt 16 times. Nothing was handed to me. Triple H tells him to go back and mind his own business. He could take Flair down at any time. Flair taking that as a challenge gets up in his Triple H face. HHH already upset about not getting the title slams the mic in Flairs face and tosses Flair out the ring and heads up the ramp as we head to our 1st Commercial break.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

[Backstage]

Triple H is back stage flipping over trash cans when he bumps into Bubba Dudley. He asks if he has a problem. Bubba tells Triple H that the World title is on SmackDown. I guess Raw has officially become the B squad. This only makes H even more upset as he pushes past Bubba and heads down the hall.

Christian says that they are not the bas guys, their just trying to tell the Americans the truth so that they can change their ways. Test says they will finish this week that they didn't last.

[Backstage]

Ric Flair is stopped by Chris Jericho. He thinks that Flair had something to do with McMahon pulling the RAW Worlds Title. That he was upset that he was no longer a factor in winning the title ever again. Flair tells Jericho to watch his mouth. Jericho reminds Flair that technically he was the last WCW World champion and that eats Flair up inside. Flair smiles and says yea but I can't be to out of it I was the one that made you tap at Summerslam. Flair smiles and walks past Jericho who is fit to be tied.

"The Game" Triple H vs. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair

This one went back and forth with Flair going for the submission moves while Triple H went for the power. Flair worked on the head and knees of Triple H trying to slow him down. Triple H got Flair in a choke hold and almost got disqualified twice for not releasing at the 5 count. Triple H was about to set Flair up with the Pedigree when flair hit Triple H with a low blow. He laid HHH with a clothesline then signaled for the figure 4. He locked on the figure 4 as Triple H tried to fight the pain. They were dead center in the ring as H tried to find a rope after a few he dropped his sholders and the ref counted 3. Flair won the match but before Jimmy Korderas could raise Flairs hand. Chris Jericho came down and started to go off on flair. The Intercontinental Champ RVD came down and pulled Jericho off Flair and they start at each other. Triple H then got into it with RVD.

Handicap Match:
WWE World Tag Team Champions (Lance Storm/Christian) vs "Big Red Machine" Kane

Last week in New York the UnAmericns tried to make a statement by burning the American flag but Kane, Booker T and Goldust had other ideas. Tonight The Tag Champs look to get their revenge on Kane. It was as expected with it being 2 on 1 the champs had the advantage but what ever they tried they could not keep Kane down. The action spilled out the ring as the count quickly got to 10. No one seemed to care about the count out as Test came down to make it 3 on 1. Test grabbed a chair and went over Kane head 3 to 4 times till he finally got Kane to fall. Storm got an American flag and draped it over Kane and tried to light the flag again but Bradshaw came down to make the save as the UnAmericans made their way back up the ramp jawing at Bradshaw and some of the fans.

UnAmericans (Christian and Lance Storm) and Kane battled to a double countout

Triple H bursts into Bischoff's office demanding a match with RVD but Bischoff tells Triple H that RVD is taking on Jericho. Triple H says that he's the man and that he wants RVD. Jericho comes in and tells Bischoff that he wants tonight's match to be for the IC belt. Bischoff with a smile on his face tells the 2 how about a tag match you 2 vs. Flair and RVD, and next week Jericho you will take on RVD for not just the IC title but the European title, as of this moment, I'm un-unifying the titles.

***Main Event***
Triple H & Chris Jericho vs. Ric Flair & Rob Van Dam

Van dam came down to the ring with the IC title around his waist and plays to the crowd as word was announced that next week the European Title will be un-unified from the IC. Some would have wondered how Triple H and Ric Flair would handle since they just had a match a few ago but both men showed no effects of the prior match. Flair and Triple H again spilled outside the ring while Jericho and EVD battled in the ring. Jericho went for a side kick but missed but RVD hit one of his own. He the set up for the 5 star frog splash and connected to pick up the big win setting up next weeks exciting match. RVD stands over Jericho holding the IC title high as Raw goes off the air.

For those who may not what is going on Here is te premise of this version of RAW

Undisputed

Premise: Fresh off his SummerSlam win against the Rock, new Undisputed champion Brock Lesnar is slated to face RAW superstar and new number one contender Triple H as his first challenger. But to Eric Bischoff (and everyone else's) surprise, Stephanie McMahon has signed the champion and the championship to a SmackDown! exclusive contract! Left without a world champion, Bischoff is prepared to re-introduce the WCW championship as the RAW-exclusive World Heavyweight championship.

WHAT IF...Vince caught wind of this and refused to allow another world championship to cheapen his creation. RAW is left with the Intercontinental title as it's main singles belt, and althouh they still have the tag team belts to help their cause, their highest-profile superstar, Triple H is poised to jump ship at year's end, realizing his futures as a singles competitor lay with SmackDown! Despite a talented, though fairly raw roster, RAW is relegated to B-show status and must make it's championships and superstars more credible without the top prize in the wrestling world.

That definitely was the lowest point for the RAW brand I think. Which is always good as far as TNM booking is concerned because it provides a challenge to the booker.

The thing is, the Intercontinental Title could easily be considered a "World Title"...I mean intercontinental means the belt is defended throughout every continent. So I don't think getting that belt over as the main belt for RAW will be as difficult as first believed. It's just making it prestigeous again after the previous years where a guy like Albert was the champion.

Well, seeing as this is kinda my baby :) I'll comment!

Good start to open the show, and era (kind of). The thing I had felt was that while the IC title would become defacto "world" title, but the fact is it's not and it never has been. It's not THE prize and nobody on RAW can win THE prize, making RAW the B-show for real.

Seems like you're sticking very close to storylines, if only to start. Not a bad idea, but I'd love to see you veer in your own direction at some point.

Interesting choice to bring the Euro title back. I'd have just done the Hardcore myself, but different strokes, different folks.

Pretty good start overall... I'll be reading.
