Taz- Shut up Joey! Nobody gets their money back. They decided

ever viewed on the forums! And if they don't like it,
I got two words for ya... SUCK I---

Joey Styles- ...calm down Taz. DX might sue you man
if you say that. We're doing fine.
No money back, are you happy? (Taz- Yeah. I'm fine now,
I'm happy.) Okay, have one hell of a card lined up for you
guys tonight, and we are going to kick it all off with
a grudge rematch from our last show, Roadkill will face
off Da Beast.

(GRUDGE REMATCH)
Roadkill pinned Da Beast after a flying legdrop in 0:08:04.
Rating: **
(New Jack interfered against Da Beast)

Match Recap- NEW JACK HAS RETURNED TO ECW! New Jack made his
presence known at the beginning of the night as he slashed
open Da Beast with his blade, pretty damn deep might I add,
and laying Beast up with Roadkill for a flying legdrop.
New Jack left the ring as soon as he sliced and diced Beast,
and did not return. Expect more from this story on...
ECW ON SCI-FI NETWORK! JULY 11TH AT 10PM EASTERN TIME
9PM CENTRAL!!! (... yeah so what. I cheap plugged you.
What are you gonna do about it?)

ECW Semi-Finals TV Title Tournament Match:
Al Snow pinned Brent Albright after a moonsault in 0:18:53.
Rating: **** 1/4

Match Recap- Al Snow wins yet again!!! He barely pulled off a
win in regulation time as he finished off Brent Albright with
a moonsault as 18 minutes and 53 seconds passed in the match,
only leaving a minute and seven. Al Snow will go on to face
either Ken Doane or Masato Tanaka in the finals.
------------------

ECW Semi-Finals TV Title Tournament Match:
Masato Tanaka pinned Ken Doane after a backslide in 0:12:59.
Rating: **** 1/4

Match Recap- Ken Doane is no male cheerleader, and he proved
it tonight puting up one of the best matches WWE has ever
produced. (Face it, WWE sponsors the new ECW..:-)) Ken Doane
showed no signs of a hissy fit that he would have if he were to
lose in WWE as a member of the Spirit Squad, but ended his
night by raising Tanaka's hand in victory himself. Though
Doane's night came to an end, Tanaka's was just beginning.
Tanaka will go onto face Al Snow in the finals in a TV Title
Match.

===================================================:
ECW Tag Team Title Match
The Untouchables The Impact Players
VS
Dead Rising The FBI
===================================================
Untouchables/Dead Rising/The FBI/The Impact Players
1st Elimination- Dead Rising may have been on a run in the
past couple of weeks, but all of their weeknesses were shown
in tonights match as Nunzio defeated Gangrel, eliminating
Dead Rising.

The FBI/Impact Players/Untouchables
2nd Elimination- Nunzio may have gotten the credit for the
1st elimination, but he was the victim of the 2nd. Deuce
Domino took him out with the Deuces Wild for the 2nd pin of the
match.

Impact Players/Untouchables
3rd and Final Elimination- In my opinion, it was down to the two
teams who truly deserved a shot at the titles. One team being ECW
Legends, a tag team that reigned supreme, and a team that is on
the rise and looking to beat the legends in their own game. Tonight,
the Impact Players put up an amazing fight, but The Untouchables
put up a flawless one. The Untouchables defeated the Impact Players
to become ECW's Newest Tag Team Champions!!!

The Untouchables (Deuce Shade and Dice Domino) defeated
The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm),
Dead Rising (Gangrel and Zombie) and Nunzio and Tony Mamaluke:
x Nunzio beat Gangrel via the Arrividerci in 0:12:15
x Deuce beat Nunzio via the Deuces Wild in 0:18:31
x Deuce beat Credible via the Deuces Wild in 0:29:59
Rating: ** 1/2
(The Untouchables won the ECW Tag Team Titles.)
------------------

Match for the vacant ECW Television Title:
Masato Tanaka pinned Al Snow after a Death Valley Driver in 0:12:04.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Masato Tanaka won the ECW Television Title.)

Match Recap- Al Snow came within moments of winning ECW Gold,
but Masato Tanaka stole it away from him! Sabu was right when
he said that Snow wasn't going to be able to pull it off.
No anger was shown between the two after the match, ending
with a very respectful handshake.

-The "X" Factors-:
1. ECW One Night Stand (Rob Van Dam made wrestling history as he was
the first wrestler to win the WWE title at an ECW event. We
also learned on ECW's debut show on the Sci-Fi channel
that he got rid of the WWE title, and crowned it the ECW World
Title.)
2. #1 Contender (Kurt Angle was lucky enough to be one of the
first men to challenge Rob Van Dam for his title. The other
being Sandman. Because of the interference of Nick Dinsmore
Kurt Angle was crowned the #1 Contender and was set to face
RVD in a 1 on 1 title match.
3. Big Problems (Rob Van Dam wanted to prove to Kurt Angle that
at Heatwave, Angle was going to lost and told us he was going to
beat the Big Show. RVD's plans backfired and Big Show defeated
the ECW World Champion. The following week, Angle wanted to prove
to RVD that he could beat show, but his plans ALSO backfired.
This led to a Paul Heyman decision of a Three Way Elimination
Dance at Heatwave, and the match is NEXT.)
===================================================
ECW World Heavyweight Title Match (3 Way Dance)
Rob Van Dam (c) vs Kurt Angle vs The Big Show
===================================================
RVD/Big Show/Kurt Angle
1st Elimination- Rob Van Dam, as champion, was starting the match
with his newest challenger, The Big Show. There is no easy
way to defeat the Big Show, especially if its ECW's Big Show.
He has shown no points of weakness in the match until RVD
tagged out to Angle and had a chance to double team the fat
bastard. Angle worked on Big Shows chest/stomach areas,
applying as much pressure as he could during moves such
as the Camel Clutch and bearhugs. Kurt Angle got off a
ring rumbling german suplex and made a tag to RVD. RVD
sprung to the top rope and executed a 5 Star Frog Splash!
He goes for a pin, 1...2...3!!! The Big Show has been
eliminated from the Three-Way-Dance.

Rob Van Dam/Kurt Angle
The 2nd and Final Elimination- Kurt Angle and Rob Van Dam
shook hands, knowing this is the match that was met to
be. The second fall started off with a counter to counter
to counter (so on) moves which led the two to endup in a face
off with a crowd ovation. But instead of waiting until RVD
was ready to face off, Kurt Angle took him down with a
BEAST clothesline. Angle destroyed RVD in the coming minutes,
and concentrated on his ankle mostly. RVD came up with a counter
and got off a roundhouse kick, but it was reversed into an ANKLE
LOCK! RVD writhed in pain for over a minute. He crawled to the ropes
and extended his hand, but Angle just walked back to the middle
of the ring. RVD somehow manages to find the strength to flip
Angle out of the Ankle lock, bouncing off the ropes and taking
him down with a spinning heel kick to the chest. RVD executed his
"Rolling Thunder", and got off a 5 Star Frog Splash. 1...2...3!!!

Rob Van Dam defeated Kurt Angle and The Big Show:
x RVD beat Show via the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:24:08
x RVD beat K. Angle via the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:33:18
Rating: **** 1/4
(Rob Van Dam retained the ECW World Title.)
------------------

-The "X" Factors-:
1. ECW One Night Stand (At ECW One Night Stand, Nick Dinsmore (then
known as "EUGENE"), was caned silly by a Sandman, after trying
to be friendly with the ECW Crowd.)
2. ECW #1 Contenders Match (Sandman was set to face Kurt Angle
and the winner would face RVD at Heatwave 2006. Sandman had the
match won when Nick Dinsmore debuted on national TV and cost
Sandman his shot at the belt.
3. Paybacks a Bitch (Sandman wants no more than to cane the
holy hell out of Dinsmore tonight in his Stairway To Hell
Match, and promises to do so tonight.)
===================================================
Singapore Cane Stairway To Hell Match
Sandman vs Nick Dinsmore
===================================================
The Match- Sandman and Nick Dinsmore met in the middle of the ring
and exchanged harsh words. Nick Dinsmore softly shoves Sandman,
hoping for a soft shove back. But in return, Dinsmore gets a
hard right hand to the face! This match has the potential to be
one of the month's most brutal matches. Actually, this brawl
surpassed that point after ten minutes! Sandman was climbing
the ladder to get the cane, and lays his hand on it. Just as
he does that, Nick Dinsmore shoves the ladder over causing Sandman
to fall all the way out of the ring. Dinsmore mocks Sandman and
mouths "Was that familiar ass hole?". Dinsmore retrieved the
cane, and was ready to beat the **** out of Sandman with it.
Sandman crawled back into the ring, but before he did that he
reached under the ring and brought a cane of his own! The two had
a "cane"fight, and Sandman came out on top sneaking a fast and
painful shot to Dinsmore's face. Sandman took advantage
of Dinsmore's "hardcore" pain, and executed the DDT to pick
up one of his most meaningful wins to date.

The Sandman defeated Nick Dinsmore in a Singapore Cane Stairway To Hell Match
by pinfall after the DDT in 0:18:47.
Rating: *** 1/4

-The "X" Factors-:
1. CM Punk= Technical Wrestling (CM Punk has been breeding and evolving
what wrestling is today during his run in the independents. Since day
one in ECW, he made it clear to everyone that he is here to change
the face of ECW, and transform it into CM Punk's "perfect form" of
wrestling.)
2. Tommy Dreamer= Innovator of Hardcore (Tommy Dreamer has two important
things in his life, his wife, and his job. He has stood by ECW from
the best of times, even to the worst of times. He's not going to
let CM Punk ruin his life, and will do anything to stop CM Punk's
run.)
3. ECW Past vs ECW Future (Tommy Dreamer, to many, IS ECW.
CM Punk, to many, is the face of what wrestling will become
in the near future. As these two battle it out next, the
future of ECW will be in jeoprady.)
===================================================
-Flaming Table Match-
CM Punk vs Tommy Dreamer
===================================================
Before the Match- AFI's "Miseria Cantare" hits the speakers and
out comes CM Punk in his original attire. He makes his way to
the ring and is offered a microphone, but denies it and demands
Dreamer to come down. Alice in Chains' "Man in the Box" blasts,
but is barely heard considering there is over 10,000 fans going
nuts of the arrival of Dreamer, who slowly walks through the
curtain to the ring. The two can't wait to rip each other apart,
and run at each other. The bell rings.

The Beginning- As the two fought for a bit, the "ECW Chants" died
down and the match shut the fans up, as what was going on
was truly impressive. Tommy Dreamer was not only showing
how brutal he could be with weapons, but how lethal his moves
are also. Dreamer was truly home in his ECW enviorment and
had the clear cut advantage. CM Punk showed his spirit, and
fought back with great pride, showing an ugly side to his
skills using weapons. The fight went from a brawl in the ring
to a fight in the stands.

The End...- CM Punk has been in control, and is still dominating
He brings Dreamer back to the ring and sets up a table on
the outside of the ring. He asks the announcer for lighters and
lighter fluid, and starts dousing the table in gasoline. CM Punk
empties the bottle and out of nowhere crawls Tommy Dreamer.
Dreamer is obviously in no condition to go on. Punk laughs at
Dreamer and abusues his verbally, and with weak slaps. Dreamer
executes a quick low-blow, and regains his strength, and
dawns a smile of satisfaction on his bloody face. He throws
Punk in the ring and sets the table on fire! Dreamer slides
into the ring and sets tries to roll Punk out of the ring onto
the table, but Punk stops short on the apron. Dreamer lets
Punk get up, and starts opening up wild haymakers and closed
fist punches. Punk is leaning back, hanging onto the ropes
with one hand, and is about to fall through the table! Dreamer
winds up his final punch and connects with a strong right,
but at the same time, Punk knees Dreamer in the stomach!
With Dreamer bent over, Punk leads Dreamer to stand on the
apron and tucks Dreamer's head in between his legs and hook
his arms... AND EXECUTES A PEPSI PLUNGE OFF THE APRON ONTO
THE FLAMING TABLE!!! The bell sounds and CM Punk is announced
as the winner!

CM Punk defeated Tommy Dreamer by putting him through a flaming table in 0:29:14.
Rating: **** 3/4
------------------
End Of Show- "HOLY SHIT" CHANTS flood around the arena, and the
crowd gives a standing ovation to both men, heel or face,
they put on a helluva match. The screen faded as Punk was being
helped to the back.

I apoligize for the length and the delay. I've had a very, very busy weekend and week so far (yeah, its only monday i know) and I have had no time to write this out. I have finally found time and decided to enjoy myself in the process, so please tell me what you think of the write out. Thank you guys... ;D

It's definetely different, but I think that's your point anyway, isn't it? ECW was so very different from all other types of wrestling, so you want to promote a promotion here on the forums where your style is quite different as well?

I'm not sure how well I like it though, but I DO appreciate you escaping the mold of forum writing in order to recreate something alternative. I will be watching though, maybe it'll grow on me.

Thats what I'm trying to do, make a new ECW, something that is very different from everything here on the forums. That is the write-out I'm gonna do for PPV's, but the weekly shows will remain the way they have been written. I thank you for noticing what I'm trying to do, at least people aren't like "WTF?".  ;D
Psymin1Posted on 06/28/06 at 01:48:23

Did it live up to the hype?

Absolutely! Amazing show. Your lineup will leave the IWC debating for months to come (the title match wasn't the main event!?! ;))

NEW JACK IS BACK! Wow, this guy, IMO, should be in jail (hearing him speak about Vic Grimes in the Forever Hardcore documentary is some of the most frightening stuff I have ever seen). But, New Jack is always a great hardcore guy willing to take bumps, and it's great to see him arrive here in ECW. I am interested to see if you have him fued with Da Beast, or go a different road...maybe Grimes will make an apperance??

Loved that Doane showed the great sportmanship at the end of his match with Tanaka. That should help get him over with the ECW audience (which, this leads me to a request at the end of this post). Both of the qualifying matches were great, with 4 1/4 star ratings for both. Great work by the four men, here.

And damn the FBI- who, IMO, shouldn't have even been in this match for the Tag Titles- for eliminating one of my favorite teams on the roster, Dead Rising, first. I was hoping, and thought for sure, with their hot streak, that they would be one of the last two teams, and maybe even win the gold. But, it was just not to be. When it was Untouchables versus Impact Players, I was rooting for the Players, but, it was a good match either way. I can't wait to see who will be getting the first shot at the champs (though, I'd have to assume it would be The Impact Players).

I thought for sure that Snow was going to do the impossible and win the TV title, but, that damn Masato had to ruin my dreams for Snow. Hopefully, Snow will get a rematch later on.

X FACTORS FUCKIN RULE! I love this idea. It really adds to the hype/excitement of the match.

The triple threat match really delivered. I think it shows, that even though Big Show got eliminated first, he definitely fits in the new ECW. Angle and RVD had an awesome matchup, and it was great to see RVD retain his gold. We don't want to have him turn into a transitional champ, damnit! The only odd thing here was the placement of this match...but, overall, it definitely worked. I mean, I believe the next two matched were actually the "Had to Buy" reasons for this PPV.

Sandman vs. Euge...I mean, "Mr. Wrestling" Nick Dinsmore was hyped to perfection (hell, the next match was also, actually). You didn't kill the momentum early, and I needed to see the carnage that it was sure to produce. And boy, did it deliver. Though, I don't think this was the best match of the match (second for sure), it was definitley Main Event quality. I loved that Sandman was able to pick-up the victory, and if I was at the arena, I'm sure it would have been a magical ECW moment. I have a feeling this fued is over, but I could be wrong...guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Finally, the Main Event of the evening! The match I personally wanted to see the most, and the best match of the New ECW to date. The fact that the match "shut up the crowd" was incredible. It really showed that what these two men were doing/were going to do was something special. I love that Punk started to use some weapons, because if he hadn't, then this match would have been very one-sided. And the finish was great- a Pepsi Plunge onto a flaming table?! Does it get any better? Although I was rooting for Dreamer to take the win here, I think Punk winning is just as good. And this fued could still go on for quite some time with a LOT of fan interest, I think. I see a Best of 3/5/7 series happening with these two men (not on purpose, necesarily, but it will just happen that way). The crowd ate up the match and I think Dreamer and Punk must be two of the most over guys in ECW. This was the perfect Main Event.

Overall, as I said, and absolutely fantastic (first? second? third?) return PPV. I hope that the next PPV can live up to this one, though it's gonna be tough. As for the format, I think it is great. I could tell that you were having fun with this card, which, I think, made it the best ECW card to date. I like the idea of keeping the weekly shows the normal length, and going balls out for the PPVs. It makes the PPVs special, and it gives us something to look forward to. Again, you did an awesome job with this. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next, which is the point of all shows (to get people to tune in next time).

Now, for my request I mentioned earlier. This being an ECW fed, one of the most important things (I would say) is seeing, since we can't hear or feel (since it is only typed words, after all) how over a wrestler really is. You could write up that someone is extremely over, which is fine, but I think, being an ECW circuit, it would be cool to actually see for ourselves just how well a wreslter is working "in the arena". So, my request for you is, could you possibly post the Heat ratings for your roster? You could do this after every PPV, or once a month, or not at all if you don't want to. I just think it would be fun to see the actual numbers to how over a wrestler is. But, this is just a request, feel free to ignore it. I don't want to tell you how to run your fed (which you are doing a fine job on your own).

Alright, I guess that covers everything. Apologies for being so lengthy, but I think you're PPV deserved it. Great job. PLEASE, for the love of God, keep it up. ;D

EDIT: Wow, this really is long.  Again, sorry for that, lol.  :-X

-I'll work on posting the heat ratings, right now I'm actually getting ready to head out to the new "Superman" movie... dunno if it'll be good, but i hope so. I'll work on it tho, and it'll def happen by next show.

-And I like seeing lengthly posts, lets me know people would take more than 2 mins to write a review. I appreciate it bro  :)

-New show to come on within the next 3 days... maybe even tomorrow... ??? :P
MatteusPosted on 06/29/06 at 00:14:14

New Jack returns! Not bad, not bad... I'm not the biggest New Jack guy, but putting him with Gaspard is a good new school/old school thing. I likes.

Snow vs. Tanaka in the finals. I gotta say, I saw Albright beating Snow, but I'm happy you had him go on. Personally, can't see Tanaka getting the strap, but we'll wait. Nice show of sportsmanship after the match by Mr. Ken Doane.

Wow, I'm shocked the Untouchables won. I would've bet money on Credible and Storm. Thankfully Dead Rising wasn't in the ENTIRE match. I love them as a comedy team, but can't buy them as a credible duo. The Untouchables will be good if you can write for them well ;) ... I think you can.

More mutual respect, man! Tanaka is your new TV champ and I'm shocked. I can see Tanaka getting a nice, long run wih the belt. He doesn't seem to have much of a personality past being a tough SOB, so a TV title run would do good for that. Rematch for Snow, please!!

X Factors are a nice touch! Great title match and RVD haad to win that one. I still hope Big Show gets a shot down the road, but for now long live the champion!

Very very good match! Sandman and Nick Dinsmore would seem underwhelming elsewhere, but here it works to perfection. Happy Sandman won and hope this means a push is in store.

That... was... AWESOME! I'm shocked you let Punk win to close out the PPV, but that's just the breaking-the-mold kind of stuff I'm coming to expect from you and ECW, Bizz. The ending was awesome and the crowd reactions were a nice touch.

Great show, bro!! Now if I could get off my ass and finish my latest card for UW we'd be unstoppable! :P
