3CW Disciplined Breakdown 7-29-06

JustinPosted on 06/23/06 at 02:10:54

The show opens with a highlight video from last week's Chi-Town Rumble. After the video, the winner of the Rumble match: "Maverick" Matt Bentley & Traci come to the ring.
MB: That video goes to show all you people just what a REAL superstar looks like. I showed up last week after a phone call from Jake "The Snake" Roberts, begging me to help make his little show a success. But, the one drawback to that was that I wasn't supposed to win. You see, good ol' Val Venis was supposed to get the big push. "The Big Valbowski" was supposed to go on with the possiblity of even getting the 3CW Title; and I took it all away from him! You see, that's what a Maverick does, whatever it takes to come out on top. And there isn't a damn thing that anybody can do about it.
HELLO LADIES.... Val Venis' music hits & the man that placed 2nd in the Rumble last week joins Bentley & Traci in the ring.
VV: HELLLOOOO LADIES! And you too, Traci. First of all, (pointing at Bentley) who the hell are you? I'm not asking who you think you are, I mean it, who in the hell are you? (Bentley gets ready to respond) No, no, I know who you are. You're that guy that was in TNA's X Division who couldn't get over no matter what gimmick they gave you. No wait, now I got it. You're Shawn Michaels' baby cousin! (Bentley gets visibly upset) Well it doesn't matter who you are or where you came from, because I've got some news for you. Not only did you piss off Jake Roberts by not following the plan that was laid out, but, you did one thing that I just can't tollerate. You rubbed "the Big Valbowski" the wrong way. So now tonight, I'm out here to tell you that you can kiss your #1 contendership "goodbye".
MB: What are you talking about? I earned my shot & I plan on taking it.
VV: What I'm talking about, is that tonight, you have to face me one on one & the winner is the true #1 contender to the 3CW Title. And you can choke on that! (Venis hits Bentley with the microphone & the sound thunders throughout the arena.)
The 2 start to brawl as officials & agents come from the back to keep them seperated.

Highlights are shown from last week of the debuts of Mike Mizanin & Austin Aries.

After the match: CM Punk gets on the mic.
CP: Once again, I stand victorious with my 3CW Television Title held high. Week after week, I have proven that I am the best wrestler this company has ever seen. Last week, it was against my former friend & partner: Colt Cabana. Tonight, I just showed this piece of garbage that he needs to go back to MTV & beg to be on another one of their "reality" shows, because he doesn't have what it takes to get the job done in the ring. Now, before I lay out a challenge to whoever is gonna be the 3CW Champion, be it Samoa Joe, Matt Bentley, Val Venis, or anyone else, I just wanna know one thing. Who thinks they got what it takes to try & take this gold from around my waist? Come on now, anybody in the back that thinks they can pull it off. Who wants some? Who wants to be a hero? (Punk looks around as he paces the ring)
STAND BACK! THERE'S A HURRICANE COMIN' THROUGH! The entrance way glows green as the man once known as Gregory Helms steps out dressed once again as his superhero alter ego. Punk is in the ring with a look of disbelief on his face.
H: Did I hear you correctly, Citizen Punk? Did you call for a hero? Well as everyone knows, there is no better hero, than a Superhero!
CP: Now hold it right there! Man, did you hit your head alittle too hard last week? Or are you actually trying to tell me you're going to start dressing up like that bad running joke again? I almost had respect for you, but, now you've just lost that, and whatever dignity you had. Now if you just wanna entertain the kiddies, that's fine. But, if you think that you're gonna come into this ring and try to take MY title, I will Hurri-Kick the living sh....
H: WHOA! So now you've resorted to foul language & threats? Well Citizen Punk, I only have one this to say: WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? Make no mistake about it CM Punk. Just like Superman returned in the movies, The Hurricane will return to the squared circle to take your title & end your tyranical reign. Because: through howling wind, through pouring rain, no evil shall stop; THE HURRICANE! (The Hurricane's music plays as he poses for the fans & as CM Punk paces the ring irate atthis new challenge.

He knew that Roode had no chance in the Rumble so he had to pull every string & cut every corner he could to give his man an advantage. Well tonight, that all changes. I know that in a one on one match, I have the advantage. I'm a former 3CW Champion. All Bobby Roode has done since he's been here is a whole lot of nothing, but piss & moan about being the only Canadian on the roster. I don't care if Samoa Joe outweighs me by (looks at Traci) what is it? 500 pounds? That fat turd hasn't ever faced anyone like me.
MM: But, didn't he beat you in TNA?
MB: (looks at Melissa menicingly) That's just because the management there wanted him to. If it were a real fight, I would've beat him within an inch of his life! Just like I will after I'm through with "the Big Blowhardski". Come on, the guy hasn't done anything in years, and he probably never will again. Good way to open the show. You seem to find really interesting ways to use guys that other people shy away from, including myself. The whole kayfabe/not kayfabe thing was a great touch.

Okay, I wasn't for The Hurricane return segment there, but by the end of it you had me liking it and wanting more. I was feeling Helms before, but this should be good too.

mmmmMMMisterrr... Kennedyyyy... Kennedy... LOVE IT!

Skipper and Lethal has def potential, as evidenced by this 4-star display

I love Cade and Strong together... they strike me as a more dynamic AMW. Hope they don't break up... Rough break for Shinzaki there. I like them as a team. Your tag division rocks, Justin!

Good promo from Stevie, but he fails to back it up. Roode keeps winning, but goes nowhere. Happy to see him win, but in the words of The Hurricane: What's up with that? :P

Team Canada, eh? Hmmm... theres only one Superstar I can think of to fit the bill. Plus Lance loses... Canadiens banding together so rules.

Wooow, the matches keep on coming! Great win for the Tag champs. They've been ruling for awhile now, I don't think I've ever read 3CW where they weren't champs. I honestly thought Air Raid would be the next to do it. Next!

Main event time, and I can't wait! Huge win for Bentley, but I really wanted Val to get the duke. Oh well... Joe vs. Betley will be awesome ;D! Great show as always!
JustinPosted on 06/24/06 at 18:17:42

You seem to find really interesting ways to use guys that other people shy away from, including myself.
Hey when life gives you lemons... you make lemonade. Then you find someone that life gave some vodka and you have a party. (I got that from Ron White)

Great win for the Tag champs. They've been ruling for awhile now, I don't think I've ever read 3CW where they weren't champs.
Go to my section for 3CW and there is a post giving all the 3CW Title histories so you can see how long everyone has reigned.
JustinPosted on 06/25/06 at 01:08:37

3CW Newsline:

"Maverick" Matt Bentley made it quite clear the when it comes to the rules, he makes up his own. First he admitingly breaks policy & wins the Rumble match that he was told is supposed to be going to Val Venis. Then he flaunts that & more in the faces of "The Big Valbowski" & 3CW's governing body. Then he finishes the night by calling out the 3CW Heavyweight Champion: Samoa Joe, who proceeded to choke out the #1 contender after attacking froim behind, bringing up the question: Why would Joe attack from behind? Is he afraid of Bentley?

CM Punk has been so dominant since becoming 3CW TV Champion. He has beaten back challenges from Sonny Siaki & Colt Cabana as well as won a few non-title matches in between. But, will his reign as champion come to an end soon with the return of The Hurricane? Can Gregory Helms finally capture 3CW gold as his highly entertaining Superhero alter ego? Or will he be just another name on the growing list of those that Punk has held off?

Ken Kennedy seems to have turned his losing ways around by getting a big win over Colt Cabana. Now its up to him if he can make it 2 in a row to start up a winning streak.

Jay Lethal & Elix Skipper lit the arena on fire with their high flying match. We can only hope to see them face off again soon.

Jinsei Shinzaki will be on the shelf for the next few weeks thanks to what was originally thought to be a torn ligement. It has been determined now that it's just a strain. We still wish him a speedy recovery.

Speaking of mending: Lance Cade & Roderick Strong may finally be at the point of non-repair. After their heart-breaking loss to Shinzaki & Rey Mysterio, String toild Cade that they were through as a team. In an interview after the show, he told Melissa Martinez that he would be teaming with a new partner next week. Where does this leave Cade? Only time will tell.

Steven Richards was quite verbal in what he wanted to do to Bobby Roode & Scott D'Amore, too bad he couldn't back it up. Roode & D'Amore also crossed paths with Lance Storm, even going as far as to offer him a spot on the new Team Canada. Storm respectfully declined, but, D'Amore, never one to take rejection lightly, has petitioned Jake Roberts for Roode to take on "The Canadian Superstar" next week.
