UWA MAYHEM - 8/7/06 - The PPV Qualifier Finals

WACHOVIA ARENA AT CASEY PLAZA
WILKES-BARRE, PA

Shane McMahon says that last week, he met with his accountant in order to
determine if he had funds available to hire a new employee for UWA MAYHEM.
Shane says that after consideration, he has made a decision on a new
Executive Assistant for UWA MAYHEM. McMahon asks the crowd to welcome
Mr. Fit Finlay to the ring!

::Mr. Fit Finlay makes his way down to the ring, wearing a suit.::

::The crowd doesn't quite know how to react::

Finlay: Mr. McMahon, I'd like to thank you for the opportunity. The UWA
is plagued by people who think they run the show, and who think they can
do as they please without repercussion. I am here to tell you all that it
ends tonight.

::Randy Orton's music plays and out comes the "Legend Killer"::

Orton: Shane, I'm sure your intentions were good, but this has to be some
kind of a joke. I mean, come on! Fit Finlay? This guy will be too drunk
to enforce any rule, let alone maintain order.

Finlay: How's this for maintaining order. If you so much as get 5 feet
from this ring at any time tonight, you are FIRED!

::the crowd cheers and we go to commercial, when we return, Jeff Jarrett
and Rey Mysterio will go at it in our first PPV Qualifier Semi Final!::
::Triple H comes out, he will join announcing team tonight.::

It has been announced that before the PPV QUALIFIER FINALS there will be an
8 man tag team match. Kurt Angle, Mark Henry, Chris Jericho, and Shelton
Benjamin will take on JBL, Justin Credible, Chris Benoit, and William Regal!

PPV QUALIFIER SEMI FINAL:
JJ vs. REY:
Before this match started, Jarrett got on the mic and complained that he goes
from wrestling a couple of "brothers", he has to wrestle this illegal
immigrant! The crowd and Rey did not appreciate that! Rey comes down and the
two go at it before the bell rings! This match was fast paced. Rey Mysterio
made a crucial mistake. He attempted a dropkick, but Jarrett saw it coming
and Rey fell. Jarrett used a piledriver and a DDT to set up the Stroke, and
Jarrett finishes Rey Mysterio off to advance to the finals!

Jeff Jarrett pinned Rey Mysterio with the Stroke in 0:09:36.

backstage, Chris Benoit tells Chris Jericho that even though they are on
different sides tonight, they are still a team after their match at MELTDOWN,
and when they get the chance they will win the World Tag Team Titles.

PPV QUALIFIER SEMI FINAL:
BATISTA vs. RVD:
The crowd was fired up after that explosive first match! Rob Van Dam and
Batista stood toe to toe for almost a minute after the bell sounded. They
both paced the ring and eyed each other up. The crowd definitely favored RVD
than Batista, but Batista got his share of cheers. Batista collided with the
referee! Rudy Charles ran down. Randy Orton came out to the top of the ramp,
and Fit Finlay made his way toward Orton. This distracted RVD before he
could hit his Frog Splash. Batista got up and hit a vicious powerslam!
Batista scored the 1,2,3! Batista faces Jeff Jarrett tonight
for the shot at Ric Flair for the PPV Title at MELTDOWN.

Batista pinned Rob Van Dam after a powerslam in 0:11:12.

backstage, Orlando Jordan is telling Shane McMahon that he has a sprained
ankle and cannot face The Undertaker at MELTDOWN. Shane tells OJ that if
he doesn't compete, he's fired!

Angle/Henry/Benjamin/Jericho vs. Credible/Regal/Bradshaw/Benoit
8 MAN TAG MATCH:
Benoit left the match after an exchange with Angle left him outside the
ring. Benoit walked away from the ring and was counted out! Jericho went
after him a minute later. Justin Credible ran in the ring and attacked Kurt
Angle. William Regal followed. Benjamin came after Regal, and Bradshaw and
Mark Henry fought each other. Not much solved here tonight.

Kurt Angle, Mark Henry, Shelton Benjamin and Chris Jericho defeated
Justin Credible, William Regal, John "Bradshaw" Layfield and Chris Benoit when
K. Angle defeated Benoit by countout in 0:10:27.

PPV QUALIFIER FINALS
JEFF JARRETT vs. BATISTA:
Jarrett attacked Batista as he entered the ring and it was on. Jarrett hit
the stroke on Batista 5 minutes into the match, but Batista kicked out!
Jarrett tried to use his guitar, but Finlay prevented him from using it!
It was finally Batista hitting the Batista Bomb for the pinfall victory that
determined the PPV Title Match! Ric Flair will go one on one against his
friend, Batista!

No-Time-Limit-Match
Batista pinned Jeff Jarrett with the Batista Bomb in 0:14:06.
