3CW Hostile City Showdown 7-15-06

JustinPosted on 06/08/06 at 16:14:37

The show opens with Jeff Jarrett's music as the "King of the Mountain" comes to the ring.
JJ: Samoa Joe! I'm tired of waiting  I don't want to wait til next week at Chi-Town Rumble, I want my title shot tonight! So get out here & let's make this official. (waits a few seconds) Come on Joe! I can wait all night if I have to. Nobody's gonna get me out of this ring, until I get my match.
Jake Roberts' music plays & the commissioner comes to the ring & joins Jarrett.
JR: So you want your title shot tonight, huh? Well, I'm sorry to tell you that it's not gonna happen, my man. You see Jeff, if I were to grant your title match tonight, then well, if you did manage to win tonight, next week, Joe would just demand his rematch & we'd be right back where we are now.
JJ: That's where you're wrong Jake. I made sure that when I win the belt from his fat ass, that there'd be no way he could come back after the title again. There's no rematch clause in that contract.
JR: So you're so confident in your abilities that you don't have a any doubts that you will become 3CW Champion. Well Jeff, that's impressive. So impressive that I am gonna do something for you. You want to be in the ring with Samao Joe so bad tonight, you got it. It won't be for the title but you will have him in the ring.
JJ: I don't want another tag match either.
JR: Oh that's not a problem. Just leave the ring now, and later on tonight you'll get what's coming to you. (Jarrett leaves the ring & heads up the runway) Oh one more thing Jeff that I forgot to mention, tonight while you're wrestling, I'm going to assign a special referee to make sure that everything goes smoothly.
JJ: You assign whoever you want, Roberts, as long as I get what I want I could care less. (Jarrett laughs on the runway as Roberts stands in the ring smiling.)

A short highlight video plays showing the recent rivalry between Gregory Helms & Jay Lethal. AFter the clip, Gregory Helms is with Melissa Martinez.
MM: Gregory Helms, over the past 2 weeks we've seen you have trouble with the young Jay Lethal. First he takes you to a double countout at Bad Blood. Then last week at Capital Combat, both of you ended up getting pinned when you tried to use his own finisher on him. What do you think you have to do to beat him?
GH: Let me tell you something Melissa. Two weeks ago at Bad Blood, I was beating the hell out of Jay Lethal when we got counted out. Last week, I was beating the hell out of him when I got overly cocky & tried a move that I wouldn't normally do. Tonight, I'm gonna do the same thing with one exception, I'm gonna put his shoulders down on the mat for the 1, 2, 3 & I'm walking out of here the winner. Whether people hate me or they love me, it doesn't matter. I'm not a role model. I'm not a hero. I'm just the best. (Helms walks out)

Greeeat great finish to the Best of 7 series, and surprisingly Brent Albright comes out on top. I have to admit, you have me looking at The Shooter in a whole new light of reespect. Nicely done.

I'm loving Helms' newfound attitude and he gets a big win over Lethal to back it up. Great match, I'm looking forward to Rey/Helms next week. BTW, I love his new catchphrase.

Whoa, Edge?! It'll be interesting to see where this goes. I wouldn't have seen  him as a 3CW guy. Good thing he beat Shinzaki, that would've been a really bad debut otherwise.

The tag division in 3CW is hot as always, as no one ever seems to be that far behind the pack. Love it. Good win for Lo Down.

Great segue between Siaki and Venis' matches. But two straight DQ finishes with the same finish? Bah... you do what you can.

Joe is awesome. Nuff said.

Aaaaaw, damn. I almost wanted to see Air Raid get the belts, but I'm all for stretching things out. Hope there's more between these two soon. Great show, Justin!
