creating new wrestlers: first move?

Hello, I fired up TNM7SE tonight and decided to create some wrestlers. Looking in the New Wrestler section of the Manual, it says:

The first move selected must be a move that can be done out of the ropes.

Can someone clarify that for me? I would guess it means the first move can't use the ropes in any way, but I thought I'd ask before rushing ahead.

I would interprete this as off the ropes, like clothesline, lariat, leg lariat, etc...

Have fun

I seem to recall Oliver saying that this requirement was removed in later versions. I think it's been a while since there was an update to the manual :) .

Yeah, I don't think that that rule still applies.  In fact, I never even heard that rule before, and all my created wrestlers work fine, so I really think that it doesn't matter what your first move is.

But, if I am incorrect, please, someone correct me (but I really do not think I am).

As people have said, it used to be a requirement, but I believe since TNM 7 SE has come out, it isn't. It was always one of those little things a lot of people never knew about - heck, even I didn't find out about it until years of using TNM.

Its not like it would spell imminent doom for a wrestler without one. I believe it was just the way that the program interepted that slot, so if your wrestler had a superplex in the first spot, well then you might see something like "Wrestler A runs into the ropes and hits a superplex." That was the only real snag it would cause if my memory serves me correctly.
