Taking some observations from many of the rule sets and Circuits that are posted here, I am in the beginning stages of a new project based on founding a new indy fed.  I have offered contracts to talent currently not employed by WWE or TNA for monthly shows based in a local arena setting and will ride things out through at least 1 year of shows before looking to add TV coverage or such.   As this begins, I hope to get feedback and I will appreciate any that I receive.

Middle Georgia Mayhem Wrestling

We are proud to bring to you tonight, Live from the Macon Coliseum in Macon, GA, The first of hopefully many Middle Georgia Mayhem Wrestling Shows.

Pyros go off and the lights go out as the music starts...

Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow makes his way out to kick off his full time return to Professional wrestling for the first time in years.  It looks like he has gotten himself back into rather decent shape considering the years since his last retirement.  At his side is long time friend & training partner from his years in Japan, Tajiri.

Bam Bam talks of his return after all these years, and the fans are still the same bunch of rejects and scum he remembers.  The wrestlers aren't any better, rejects and losers.... But if he has to start at the bottom and regain his glory, this has to be the place.

Music hits and out walks Brown and Johnson.  D'Lo tells Bam Bam to put up or Shut up, and the first match for Middle Georgia Mayhem Wrestling is on.

Brown And Johnson (Ahmed Johnson and D'Lo Brown) defeated
Bam Bam Bigelow and Tajiri when A. Johnson pinned Tajiri with the
Pearl River Plunge in 0:19:35.
Rating: *** 1/4

The Crowd was really behind D'Lo and Ahmed.  Both teams had great offense, and they fought all over the area surrounding the ring, in the end Tajiri missed with the Kick of Death and Johnson took full advantage and nailed him with the Pearl River Plunge while D'Lo kept Bigelow at bay.

Charlie Haas pinned Chris Kanyon after a power bomb in 0:03:30.
Rating: *** 1/4

Chris put up a good fight, but not good enough.  After a missed suicide dive to the outside, Haas quickly took advantage with a Power bomb and cover.

Andrew Martin pinned Bryan Clark with the Test Drive in 0:15:41.
Rating: **

In a slow moving match between two men of Power, Andrew "Test" Martin got the win with the Test Drive

Scott Steiner defeated Mike Awesome by countout in 0:05:50.
Rating: * ¾

Mike Awesome held his own until Rick Steiner made his way down to ringside and hit Awesome with the ring bell.

Diamond Dallas Page and Sean O'Haire defeated Mark Jindrak and Frankie Kazarian when O'Haire pinned F. Kazarian after a powerslam in 0:12:51.
Rating: **

Under the new mentorship of DDP, O'Hare looked very strong in this tag team match.  After the match, Page and O'hare continued the beatdown of Jindrak and Kazarian until security separated them.  This does not look to be over by a long shot.

Lance Storm pinned Chris Jericho with the Superkick in 0:08:17.
Rating: ***

Great match between 2 technical veterans and career long friends.  Storm managed to nail Jericho with the Superkick out of nowhere.

21-Man Gauntlet Battle Royal for the vacant Middle Georgia Title:
Brian Adams won a 21-man Pinfall Battle Royal:

(Brian Adams won the Middle Georgia Title.)

"The Crusher" Brian Adams gloated as his valet, Vincent, brought his newly acquired title belt into the ring and secured it around his waist.  Adams played possum while Tajiri worked hard to eliminate Chris Kanyon and Justin Credible, only to attack Tajiri from behind and take advantage of the Buzzsaw.

Good show, man.  I thought you weren't using wrestlers in WWE or TNA?

Isn't Jericho still in the WWE?

Adams should make an interesting champion.

Also, is this booked or unbooked?
UnrightPosted on 12/29/05 at 21:25:49

Man.. Bam Bam Bigelow is awesome. Too bad about his loss, but he got partial revenge by eliminating D-Lo along wih two others.

I mark for Bigelow the way I mark for La Parka. And I really mark out for La Parka.
MGDukesterPosted on 12/29/05 at 21:38:58

I thought you weren't using wrestlers in WWE or TNA?
At the time the Circuit was started a month or so ago, none of these guys were under contract.  Tajiri had just been released from WWE.  And while Credible and Kanyon were both recently used in TNA, both guys were on one night only contracts from what I've read.

Isn't Jericho still in the WWE?
No, he optioned not to renew his wrestling contract a few months ago and is a full time musician at the moment with Fozzy.

Also, is this booked or unbooked

So far 100% unbooked, but as a few fueds develop, that may change.

I agree Unright, I was always a Bammer Mark.  when used right, he was an awesome heal.  I remember in WCCW back in the day when he was used much like TNA uses Joe now.  A True Beast.
Ghost Mask IIIPosted on 12/29/05 at 21:57:18

I've only been to one wrestling show and that was a WCW House Show in 1997 or 1998.  I believe this was Bobby Duncum Junior's last wrestling show to be on before he died.  It was an awesome night.  I got to see great luchadors in action, as well as Sting and Ric Flair.  But the coolest thing in the world was seeing Bam Bam Bigelow walk right past me as we waited for the wrestlers to show up.  It was awesome seeing him.  All the kids were yelling "YOU"RE NEXT!"  I hated Goldberg!  Anyhoo, Bam Bam and Sting were the main event.  It was Sting's return, so of course Bam Bam had to take the lose.  I just wanted to add my Bam bam memory.

February Fallout
February 3, 2006

Rikishi Fatu pinned Bam Bam Bigelow with the Banzai Drop in 0:04:33.
Rating: ** 1/4
After a solid start to the match, Rikishi turned the tables on Bam Bam with a flapjack on the safety rail at ringside.  The Bammer left ring area with a very frustrated look on his face.  Perhaps his comeback was not such a great idea... Time will tell.

Chris Kanyon pinned Frankie Kazarian after a moonsault in 0:07:41.
Rating: ** 1/4
"Who's better than Kanyon? Nobody!" Chris Kanyon asked as he made his way to the ring. "Is there anyone back there that thinks they are better than me?  Prove it!"  Frankie Kazarian made his way out to the stage and charged the ring, but to no avail as Kanyon went punch for punch with him.

TNA Exhibition Match
Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles battled to a time limit draw in 0:20:00.
Rating: *** ¾
In a perfect example of what the TNA X-Division represents, the "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and the "Phenomenal" AJ Styles put on a clinic in high flying total offense.  Middle Georgia hopes to see more from this tentative developmental partnership with TNA.

Rick Steiner and Scott Steiner defeated Mark Jindrak and Charlie Haas when R. Steiner pinned Jindrak after a bulldog in 0:08:57.
Rating: * ¾
The Steiner Brothers show why they have been a dominate tag team for the last 15+ years.  The relentless attack by Rick and Scott was far too much for the young challengers.  After the bell rang, Scott proceeded to lock the Steiner recliner in on Charlie Haas.  Security had to be called to remove the Steiner Brothers from ringside to allow medical personnel in to attend to Jindrak and Haas.

On Stage
Brian Adams and Bryan Clark with their valet Vincent are standing with Janet Abrhams, the recently crowned Miss Middle Georgia.
"I outlasted 20 other men in the Gauntlet Battle Royal last month.  I've shown Middle Georgia what a dominate force I can be.  Tonight we have one of the youngest has-beens and a never-was wanting to act tough and face us in tag team action.  Bagwell... Martin... You should pack up and go home now. "Adams says.
"Andrew, you may have managed to pull an upset last month, but tonight will NOT have the same outcome.  Count on it!" Clark adds as they walk off.

Diamond Dallas Page and Tajiri defeated
Brown and Johnson (Ahmed Johnson and D'Lo Brown) when Tajiri pinned D'Lo after a rana in 0:00:29.
Rating: *
In a match that showed much promise, DDP used a set of brass knuckles almost before the match started on D'Lo Brown.  DDP then charged Johnson while Tajiri easily finished off Brown for the Pin.  Post match, Page and Tajiri used the knucks to bust both men wide open.  This situation is most defiantly not over.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Lance Storm beat Chris Jericho 2 falls to 1:
x Jericho beat L. Storm via disqualification in 0:16:32
x L. Storm beat Jericho via a crucifix in 0:18:49
x L. Storm beat Jericho via countout in 0:21:06
Rating: * 3/4
Jericho never seemed to have his "A" game tonight.  His one win was when Storm refused to release a choke hold. Once the damage was done, Jericho was never the same.

Mark Bagwell and Andrew Martin defeated Brian Adams and Bryan Clark when Bagwell pinned B. Adams after a dropkick in 0:13:23.
Rating: ** 1/2
[Vincent interfered against Mark Bagwell.]
Adams and Clark were brutal in the beginning of this match, but Bagwell and Martin seemed to work very well together.  Bryan Clark took Andrew Martin to the outside as Adams strutted around beating on Bagwell. As Bagwell lay beaten, the champ removed the pad from one of the turnbuckles. Bagwell made a quick comeback and managed a Dropkick that sent Adams face first into the exposed turnbuckle.  Allowing Bagwell the win.

TerryFunkaPosted on 03/16/06 at 20:10:15

While I like the idea,  there are just alot of things keeping me from viewing this as a brand new indy fed. Roster size, big names on the roster, how much contracts would cost things like that. Good job nevertheless.
MGDukesterPosted on 03/16/06 at 22:22:49

I know the costs and such don't make much sense unless it had huge backing with the names used.  With previous feds, I used the typical dream rostes that fit what I've seen and liked.  With this project, I really didn't want to use anyone that was currently employed by one of the big 2 on the day the circuit was created.   So I guess to a point I'm trying to use a select composite of some of the Indy fed rulesets that I've seen, but using major names that I know.

Thanks for the feedback.
Rick GarrardPosted on 03/17/06 at 04:33:00

Don't tell Snabbit that you're using rules sets.  :)  (Hi Ryan)  Me and EricCotD and a few others however, like those that use them.
Snabbit888Posted on 03/17/06 at 20:01:28

*commits ritual suicide at the sight of another circuit using a ruleset*

:)
MGDukesterPosted on 03/18/06 at 17:04:12

Please don't hurt yourself over me, as I said I was using a composite of many.  Not following any one by the book.  just using some of the better ideas that I've seen in them.

Lance Storm toyed with Jericho most of the night.  It was Obvious that had the "Canadian Technician" wanted to win tonight he would have.  Tonight's match was not about winning, it was about punishing Chris Jericho.

After the Match, Storm grabs a Microphone from ringside and gets down in Jericho's face.

"Chris, this has gone on long enough.  You've lost your edge.. Next month, we go at it one last time... I Quit Match.  When you quit in the match, you leave Middle Georgia.  I'm tired of seeing you disgrace what we once had.  What you once were."

Direct Sanctions From the Macon Civic Center
April 9th, 2006

As the pryos go off signaling the start of the show, Brian Adams and the rest of the Midas Touch come out to the stage.  All are wearing nice dress suits except for Bryan Clark.

Adams: "As I stated at our last show, those that have the gold * he pauses to adjust the Title belt over his shoulder*, makes the rules.  And it looks to us like we have a proposition for those of you out back."

S Steiner: "We fear no man, so we've all decided to place open challenges for tonight's card.  Anyone with the Guts to step up to the plate can show us what you got."

R Steiner: "And to show you we have no fear, The Titles will be on the line!"

Bryan Clark heads to the Ring with the mic "Who wants the first beating?"

*Music hits. . .  Mike Awesome charges the ring to show that he has no fear either*

Sean O'Haire defeated Mark Bagwell by disqualification in 0:01:27.
Rating: **

The match started out strong, and while Bam Bam Bigelow accompanied Sean O'Haire to the ring, he was behaving himself for once.  Tajiri seems to have taken exception to being dropped on his head and comes down to interrupt the match.  Bagwell gets out of the way as Tajiri tries to take on Bigelow and O'Haire, but in the end takes a wicked looking combination Sidewalk Slam/inverted DDT.

Chris Jericho makes his way to ringside as officials have finally cleaned up after the last match and EMTs have taken Tajiri away for further observations.

"Lance, you challenged me to an I Quit match tonight and the loser leaves Middle Georgia Mayhem.  I accept and I'm ready to go.  To take a line from a Legend in the business, I'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum.. and I'm all out of bubble gum, Junior."

The fans know who hit him though. That's Raven and Perry Saturn.  Rick Steiner is out cold.  And Raven and Saturn slide out and back into the crowd as security is after them. "Where the hell did they come from?" Scott asks the 3 at ringside who did nothing to assist.  They had no time.

Before they can worry about where Raven and Saturn went, Music hits.

Andrew Martin appears at the stage "Hey Adams, Its time to pass the test!

With assistance from Bryan Clark and Vincent, Martin was no challenge, but as the theme music for the Midas Touch begins, it seems to fade out and "a real American" plays for a few seconds before going back to normal.

The men of the Midas Touch look at each other confused and continue to celebrate.

See you on Saturday Slaughter.

Saturday Slaughter - 5/6/2006

This show was taped live in front of a Studio audience at the Earthlink Live Auditorium.  This building has a history rich in the art of Pro Wrestling as it was once called Center Stage and home of WCW Saturday morning.

The pyros fire, the music plays and the Middle Georgia Mayhem logo shows proudly on the new Video-tron on the Saturday Slaughter Stage.  Welcome to the first broadcast of Saturday Slaughter.

As the smoke clears from the opening pyros, Bam Bam Bigelow makes his way to the ring accompanied by Sean O'Haire. Bammer has a renewed focus in his eyes and a blaring look of rage on his face as his opponent makes his way to the ring.

After the bell, Bigelow and O'Haire continue to work over Charlie Haas, until Tajiri makes the save with a chair in hand sending Bammer and Sean running.  As they reach the stage, Bigelow gets a mic. "I've told you I was done with losing.  Tajiri, you should have listened."
O'Haire gets the mic. "This man is a locomotive. He's building steam, and if you get in his way, prepare to be run over."
They drop the mic and make their way to the back to a chorus of Boos as the First commercial break begins.

*** Commercial Break ***

As the show returns from commercial break, the video-tron shows a dark screen begins to show historic landmarks from around the USA with "A real American" playing loudly through the arena. And it settles upon a silhouette of a masked wrestler. The promo fades with the words "Midas Beware" on the screen.

Rating: *** 3/4

As the match gets under way, "Hotshot" Johnny Devine comes out on the stage and watches the match with his arms crossed.  After the bell, Johnny gives a slow applause as if he was not impressed with Jericho and the match and walks off as Jericho celebrates.

*** Commercial Break ***

As we return, all 4 members of Midas Touch is in the ring, and looking none too happy.  Brian Adams has a microphone "Ok, who in the back offices is going to tell us what the hell that last promo was and who the hell thinks they can threaten the Midas Touch.  Don't you morons know that everything we touch turns to gold?"
Clarke: "Brian, It doesn't matter who it is.  They cannot think of comparing to us.  Ok, Mr. Real American, so you want to get a beating, Bring what you have.
S Steiner "And as for you Raven and Saturn, you are not to be forgotten either.  Who do you think you are that you can lay hands on us?  You are no match for the Genetic Freak and the Dog faced Gremlin.  You stick your nose in our business one more time, and you will find out the hard way that we don't play games."
R Steiner: "WOOF WOOF"

***Commercial Break***

Clarke, Adams and Vincent head to the back as the Steiners tell them they have this match under control.  And the Music hits for "Prototype" Mark Jindrak and "The Future" Frankie Kazarian.

Mark Jindrak and Frankie Kazarian defeated
The Steiner Brothers (Rick Steiner and Scott Steiner) when F. Kazarian defeated S. Steiner by countout in 0:17:57.
Rating: ** 3/4
[Raven interfered against Scott Steiner.]

The Steiner brothers have full control for most of the match, after they tire of torturing their opponents, Scott lifts Kazarian up to set up a tandem top rope bull dog.  Saturn and Raven come from out of the crowd.  Saturn hits Scott Steiner with a chop block and Raven shoves Rick from the turnbuckle down to the concrete floor.  Saturn and Scott battle down to the floor and Saturn and Raven hit a double-DDT on Scott on the floor.  Both Steiners are left lying as the rest of Midas Touch runs back down and Jindrak and Kazarian manage what has to be considered an upset win on our opening broadcast.

Midas touch is calling for medical attention as the credits roll.
