General Circuit Question

Snabbit888Posted on 04/21/06 at 08:19:57

Of the active circuits on the board right nows, which ones are booked and which ones are unbooked?  I think with the Roll Call seemingly getting back up and going soon that it could be interesting to have a distinction between Booked and Unbooked, as well as overall champions.

GCW is booked about 98% (occasionally TNM does something though that makes me go, "Hey, I'll keep that.").

WWR is 99% unbooked unless it's vital to a storyline.

WWC is probably a little less booked.. probably around 80% of the matches, with the upper midcard / main event matches alwas booked, and the lower card matches sometimes going unbooked.

UW is about 95 percent booked... interesting idea, Ryan. In what way were you thinking of doing the distinction between Booked and Unbooked circuits? Like a roll call for each?

3CW is about 98% unbooked., like Ravyn unless it's vital to the storyline.

Middle Georgia is about 70% unbooked.  Only booked when Vital to angles at hand, and Most major shows and Title Defenses are unbooked.

The AWF is 100% unbooked Unless something comes up that makes me go "Oh hell no" It will probably stay that way :)

Like doing one Roll Call for Booked, one for Unbooked, and then one combined Roll Call.  That way, by looking at unbooked it gives a sense of how good some of the wrestlers are based on stats, by looking at booked it gives a sense of who the circuit runners are liking and pushing, and then just an overall one.

I haven't posted any of my circuits but they're pretty much all "booked" in some fashion. Either actually booked or through liberal usage of the 'C' and 'R' keys.

WWL is 100% booked -- and if I can't book the match to finish the way I want it to, I will type in a new finish. I don't play God, so I honor injuries and contract disputes (most of the time), but anything that a real wrestling promoter books, I book.
911HijackerDotComPosted on 04/22/06 at 04:10:00

I book about 50% and then develop storylines/etc from that.

Think of it as a tree path

if A happens, do X
If B happens, do Y
If C happens, do Z

Sometimes TNM surprises me and adds something interesting to the mix (like interference or something).

I don't like to book everything because I think that takes away from the fun of it.  I personally enjoy having to work with what I got, rather than make everything work out how I want.
HugeRockStar760Posted on 04/22/06 at 04:23:18

The WWE Smackdown! circuit I've been posting is primarily booked. I say primarily because TNM can be really quirky when it wants to and will not give good results if left to its own devices. Considering the true Smackdown! is becoming more of a workrate promotion (well, at least the main event picture), it helps to be able to book a decent, long tv match of over 20 minutes if lets say Kurt Angle is going against Rey Mysterio. Otherwise, you get a result where Kurt Angle or Rey Mysterio defeats the other in a few minutes.

When I run unbook is when I don't have a particular care who wins (not that I am disinterested in the resut, rather I'm undecided in who I want to win).
rey619Posted on 04/22/06 at 10:36:04

Seems to me that no circuit is either 100% booked or unbooked. So maybe any circuit with >50% booking counts as booked, and the other way around?
Snabbit888Posted on 04/22/06 at 19:14:07

I think there's just a common sense distinction.  For instance, since the only time I go unbooked is when TNM does soemthing and I go, "Cool, I like that," I would obviously consider GCW booked.  If someone goes "I only book when I need something specific to happen," then that would be unbooked.
MatteusPosted on 04/22/06 at 22:14:57

Hmmm... that sounds interesting and doable! I think what I'll do when i reopen the Roll Call thread is have people post whether their circuit is booked or unbooked along with their current champions, date that title was won, and latest card held.

But in my case, I can't tell you whether my stuff is booked or unbooked... it ruins the suspense.  ;)
MatteusPosted on 04/24/06 at 06:01:01

Rick's ruining our fuuuun!! :( PLUS he sad he was gonna kick me in the butt... that's what I get for comparing him to the Undertaker ::)
