World Wrestling Revolt...

After finally getting TNM up and running, I've started my first circuit called "World Wrestling Revolt" with a number of mostly independant wrestlers.  I've chosen mostly indy guys because I find mainstay guys (WWE) kinda boring.  With more of a focus on wrestling (the storylines do develop, but they do so slowly).

Show Structure
Two live shows a week, on Wednesday and Friday and a one hour TV slot called "WWR Revolution TV" that runs once a week on the Saturday from 05/06/06 (TNM-Time)

Titles
WWR World Title
WWR Television Title (defended on "Revolution TV")
WWR Tag Team Titles

Roster
Dick Togo
Jinsei Shinzaki
Chris Hero
Christopher Daniels
CM Punk
Delirious
BJ Whitmer
Colt Cabana
Jimmy Rave
Arik Cannon
Brandon Thomaselli
Claudio Castagnoli
Mike Quackenbush
Beth Phoenix
Austin Aries
Bryan Danielson
Jimmy Jacobs
Christian Cage
Brian Kendrick
Ken Kennedy
Paul Burchill

Stables/Tag Teams
None established as of first card.

The Tournament
A 16-man tournament was drawn up to determine the first WWR World, Television Champion and to 'flesh out' rankings.

The losers of the first bracket will then make up the Television Title Tournament.  Any remaining wrestlers who lose a World Title Tournament match will get a 'second chance' opportunity at the Television Title bracket.  With the exception of the final World Title match.  The Tournament thus functions as a bizarre double elimination system.  Each wrestler gets a minimum of two matches, basically.

The First Round randomly-selected brackets look like this:
CM Punk vs. Dick Togo
Brandon Thomaselli vs. Claudio Castagnoli
Chris Hero vs. Jimmy Jacobs
Bryan Danielson vs. Colt Cabana
Christian Cage vs. Delirious
Arik Cannon vs. Ken Kennedy
Anthony Franco vs. Mike Quackenbush
Peth Phoenix vs. Brian Kendrick

The remaining six wrestlers will get berth into the brackets at a later stage.

The card should be up shortly...

Ah so Beth Phoenix in the main event of your first show was not coincidence then. Tell me, is Beth Phoenix similar to Chyna? I don't watch OVW so I wouldn't know.

Not as such, she's certainly not Chyna's build, however she's got a pretty impressive amateur background.  She was a varsity wrestler and won quite a number of awards.  The fact she went over Kendrick isn't a bad thing, at this stage, I'm playing with the cards that TNM deals me.  Shake things up, I figure.
