Would anyone be interested in this?

DaBoyPosted on 02/17/06 at 22:05:21

Hey guys,

I've been thinking about starting a hosting site for TNM7 Circuits. I'd give you your own space, FTP, E-mail address. Your address would be

www.tnmfeds.com/feds/circuitname

I give this to you for FREE. I've been bored and just want somthing to do in my spare time and I figured I can be giving back to the TNM Community.

All I ask is you don't abuse it IE. Host video, audio files or use the space for your personal websites or to transfer large amounts of data.  Again I'm doing this for free just because I'd love ot help out. If I get enough responses I'll register the domain name and get everything up and running.

what I was thinking was make a landing page www.tnm-feds.com listing the feds that are being hosted with a logo and link.  I'd also make a message board for our use to contact each other maybe start a MP page we'll see where this all goes.

Bottom line if your in please reply to this post sorry to be so long winded.  Hope to see some responses!

I would be interested in doing this.  I'd still probably keep my other site that I currently have though.  Either that, or would you have a section where clicking on the GCW link for your site would transfer it to mine?  I'd love to be part of the message board community and such, but don't want to abandon the site I have now.
DaBoyPosted on 02/17/06 at 23:27:43

If you wish to use your current site that is fine by me. I'm just giving the free space option so people who have wanted to do this don't have to view ads or other B.S that comes along with having a hosted free site.

I can just add your logo with a link to your site :)

Snabbit888Posted on 02/17/06 at 23:44:43

Sounds good.  Whatever helps the community I'm all for.  You have any circuits to post?

http://www.pedpix.net/wcw

I really didn't make the shows for anyone else to read so forive the lazyness on some interviews or some random things :P I just do this for fun of couse I don't spend tons of time playing or creating storylines ect. I'm a person who isn't super indeth I just like to progress my circuit is all :)
PulsarPosted on 02/18/06 at 03:41:58

I must say, sounds like a great idea, but I personally haven't done a published fed since GWA (Umbrella Fed) died.
DaBoyPosted on 02/20/06 at 18:32:03

I've went ahead and bought a domain name. Now I just gotta get some hosting. The domain name will be www.tnmfeds.com

You don't have to have an elberate webpage it can even just be your default pages that TNM7 made.
HugeRockStar760Posted on 02/20/06 at 18:54:42

It's a great idea! And to think you actually put your own money into this is even more impressive. I'm always impressed when people think more about other people than themselves. Very admirable trait.

Since my circuit currently is NWA World Championship Wrestling, it will be rather easy to create a logo for this one as there's already a logo out there. Of course, considering how the WWE wants to control everything, I'm not sure if publishing circuits will be wise. I bet WWE goes after TNM circuits next. But I definitely will check this out. TNM definitely needs more user interaction as it trails TEW in this regard.
AnubisPosted on 02/20/06 at 22:11:47

Don't worry, WWE can't touch NWA.  It's the one thing they don't own yet.  As for TNM and TEW, well, they COULD nail Oliver for providing the real wrestlers, but then Oliver would just remove them and it'd move to exports.  They can't touch TNM or TEW without claiming ownership rights on all of professional wrestling, and that simply can't happen because broad ideas can't be copyrighted (especially when there are already others out there who have been around LONGER, like NWA, which has a good 50 years over WWE's history).

So no worries.

Actually, it's not a case about the NWA itself. The time period and promotion my circuit is in is Jim Crockett Promotions which later became WCW. They down own that. However, it would be very unlikely they would ever come after someone running a simulation of a defunct promotion from a long time ago.

Besides, if I or anyone else had money were sued for it, we could just claim what the WWE does is not professional wrestling to begin with. Talk about a countersue!

I'll definetely be interested in this! Thanx man.

As for lawsuits? I think the WWE has bigger fish to fry than us.. (Lesnar, the Dudleyz, etc..)

And besides, the reason why wrestlers aren't incorporated into the program to start with is to avoid these kinda things. I think I remember Olly saying that as long as the wrestler exports are free, nobody is making any money of it, thereby legal. Same thing with TEW and the Ravex guys.
HugeRockStar760Posted on 02/20/06 at 23:18:24

I wouldn't mind a spot for NWA World Championship Wrestling.
TrancePosted on 02/21/06 at 00:59:07

Sounds cool, count me in as well

Exactly. Don't you think if WWE was going to sue Oliver and TNM, they would have done so, already?
Snabbit888Posted on 02/21/06 at 02:22:04

I think Oliver gets around it in that the exports of wrestlers don't come with TNM itself.  It's like when NCAA basketball games come with all fantasy guys, but have the ability to change them all to their real names.

I would like a link to GCW from this site, good sir.

Yes, but if you recall, versions of TNM prior to TNM 7 did include wrestlers and managers.

He had some sort of unofficial deal set up if I remember correctly.  Plus, some of the early versions were free.  Not sure what bearing that has if any.
AnubisPosted on 02/21/06 at 09:09:36

Wait, I may not have used TNM in a while, but even my TNM7FE came with wrestlers in it (selecting them upon installation).
ZedjaPosted on 02/21/06 at 09:19:09

Since it comes with FTP access I'll think about it.

I won't need an e-mail though. I'll get back to you if I can get a good design going :)

Rey: You use IWA as an abrivation right?? If so I might need to change my circuit name... Again...
DaBoyPosted on 02/21/06 at 14:14:51

We've got two WCW's going on. I can put your username down below if your fed picture.

First edition, yes, not second edition

Missed both my post and my PM huh?

Nevermind had to restart yet again anyway.. My TNMWA wrestling persona just happened to win one of my Heavyweight Titles too.. But I felt it was way too many wrestlers in it so I axed half of them for a new try.

So now to get a new federation name... I think I have one.

True, but on TNM 6.2, you could purchase an upgrade license
