Quick question...

wolfpack2kPosted on 01/16/06 at 16:35:28

How can I get my version of TNM7 SE to open up in a "Windows" page - providing me with toolbars to cut and paste my circuit results onto here.

Just curious.

While in the circuit menu, hit "M" this will bring up another menu.  From there choose the "html" option.

Then from within Windows explorer, find the folder where your TNM is saved, open the folder and look for the folder for your circuit.  Open the circuit folder and find the html folder and open it.  From there, open the "welcome.htm" file and there will be your entire circuit dumped into HTML format which you can copy and paste from your browser.  (If you plan on doing this a lot, I suggest making a shortcut to the html folder that you will be wanting to access frequently so you don't have to search for it each time)

You can also cut and paste directly from the TNM screen, but it requires a bit more time intensive work and if you mismark what you want copied, you have to go back to the beginning and start over.  HTML is the way to go in my opinion.

Rick

Thanks for getting back to me...

The latter option is the way I want to do it...

However TNM7:SE opens up in a stand alone window that doesn't have all the stuff at the top like I am guessing the page that you are currently viewing  has... That's how I would like to appear though...

Neil, there are two ways of doing this.  One (which really isn't the best option) is to hit "print screen" and then paste the the copied contents into an image editor, thusly making it really hard to make any potential corrections.

The second and better way is to right click on the blue bar at the top of the window assuming you have a title bar at the top of the TNM screen.  Then from there you choose edit and mark.  Then using the arrow keys, highlight what you wish to copy and then right click again on the blue bar, choose edit and copy.  From there you can paste into whatever application (i.e. notepad, word, et al.) you want.

Although it sounds as if you are not seeing the "title bar" at the top of your TNM screen, meaning that your TNM is probably set to open in a full screen.  This most likely means that you are using a shortcut to open your TNM.  You can change the settings from the shortcut icon, using properties.  Under options, you will see "window" and "full screen".  You are probably wanting to see your TNM in window format instead of fullscreen.

Hopefully this answers your question.

If your TNM is in full screen mode, you can also just hit Alt-Enter to switch it to windowed mode.

Once in a Window, right-click the title bar, go to Edit, then Mark. Highlight the text you wish to copy, then press Enter. Now you can paste it to notepad or whatever.
