Classic Championship Wrestling #1

Triangle Match
Nunzio
Rey Mysterio
Chavo Guerrero

Classic Championship Wrestling started the night out with a triangle match in progress between Nunzio, Rey Mysterio, and Chavo Guerrero.  The match was dominated at first by Chavo who made Nunzio tag in Mysterio.  Chavo kept Mysterio grounded until Mysterio managed to fight back and nail Chavo with a top rope Frankensteiner.   Chavo eventually tagged in Nunzio who quickly applied a Fujiwara armbar on Mysterio.  The fans cheered Mysterio throughout the whole match, though they gave Chavo and Nunzio a classic heel pop.  At the end of the match Nunzio went for another Fujiwara armbar, but Mysterio blocked it.  Mysterio then executed an amazing springboard sitdown faceslam on Nunzio.  Mysterio had the crowd going wild as he took Nunzio down with a spinning leg lariat and prepared to end the match.  Mysterio used the 6-1-9 before executing the West Coast Pop on Nunzio for the win.

Tag Team Match
Tajiri & William Regal
Steven Richards & Mike Awesome

This match started out with Richards attacking Regal before the bell, but Regal managed to brawl Richards into the turnbuckle to eventually hit a huge superplex.  This was a pretty nice start for the match but the match did somewhat die down.  The crowd was quick to get behind Regal.  Richards was almost put into the Regal Stretch but he blocked it.  Regal tagged in Tajiri but Awesome wanted in on the action.  Awesome ran in and tossed Regal out of the ring.  Awesome and Richards double teamed Tajiri with a double clothesline, but Awesome left the ring right away.  Father Jim Mitchell started to interfere in the match and Charles Robinson threatened to disqualify Awesome and Richards, so Awesome told Mitchell to leave the ring area.  Richards eventually nailed Tajiri with a superkick and caused Tajiri to collide into Charles Robinson.  Mike Chioda came to the rescue but Robinson shook off the pain and kept his position.  Father Jim Mitchell interfered again when it looked like Awesome was about to try and finish off Regal.  Awesome and Richards were disqualified, but all four men had a blast performing their finishers on Father Jim Mitchell.  He was then banned from the CCW by Awesome and CCW Commissioner Mick Foley because he was never under contract.

Tag Team Match
Mitsuharu Misawa & Kenta Kobashi
Matt Hardy & Masato Tanaka

This tag team match was the match of the night.  The CCW Tag Team Division looks to be molding into a top division with some great teams.  This match was constantly back and forth.  It was interesting to see Hardy brawl with Misawa and Kobashi, but Hardy managed to hold his own throughout the whole match.  Hardy eventually tried to go for the Twist of Fate but the smart Misawa blocked it.  Kobashi ended up nailing Tanaka with a backdrop driver that shook the ring.  He went for the pin but Tanaka kicked out.  Tanaka came back with a rolling clothesline on Kobashi.  Toward the end of the match Tanaka entered the ring and threw Kobashi out.  Tanaka left the ring.  Hardy tried to go for an inverted DDT, but Misawa blocked it.  Misawa then attacked with multiple elbow smashes.  Misawa followed the elbow smashes with a huge jumping clothesline on Hardy.  The crowd was really behind Misawa as he hit a series of forearm smashes.  Misawa stayed on the offense as he hit a rolling elbow smash on Hardy as the bell sounded.  The time limit expired.  The four men shook hands at the end of the match.  A rematch has been scheduled for the future.

CCW TV Title Match
La Parka (Champion)
Cibernetico

The match started out with Cibernetico chocking La Parka against the ropes.  Nick Patrick had to constantly warn Cibernetico.  Cibernetico tried to finish off La Parka early when he went for the CiberBomb, but La Parka countered it with a backdrop.  La Parka gave Cibernetico a chop, but Cibernetico only stared him down.  Cibernetico went for a kick to the midsection, but La Parka countered it with a dragon screw.  In turn, Cibernetico countered it with an enzuigiri.  At the end of the match La Parka whipped Cibernetico into the ropes, but Cibernetico reversed it.  La Parka missed with an elbow.  Cibernetico missed with an elbow.  Cibernetico and La Parka then hit each other with a double clothesline.  Cibernetico was the first up.  He pulled La Parka to the ropes and choked La Parka.  Nick Patrick warned Cibernetico to let go.  Cibernetico didn't let go and Patrick called for the bell.  Cibernetico was disqualified and La Parka kept his hands on the CCW TV Title.  The fans were behind La Parka all the way with a "La Parka" chant.  Cibernetico seemed to want to destroy La Parka, rather than win the CCW TV Title, which might make for an interesting rematch.

No Disqualification Match
Abyss
Gene Snitsky

Not a whole lot can be said about this match other than the fact that it was a sloppy brawl fest.  Abyss and Snitsky were really performing horrible with botched moves here and there.  Snitsky tried to end the match with a bearhug, but the big Abyss broke free easily and managed to hit Snitsky with an ugly power bomb.  It didn't take long before Abyss tried to finish Snitsky, and he did finish him with the Black Hole Slam.  Abyss got the pin and the crowd didn't give him much of a reaction due to a poor match.  Snitsky went into a rage, tossing chairs and yelling at the fans.

Triangle Match
Samoa Joe
AJ Styles
Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle and AJ Styles locked up.  Angle nailed Styles with a back elbow and then worked the crowd.  Angle started to get under the crowd's skin when he hit Styles with a forearm to the back.  Angle then whipped Styles into the ropes.  Angle missed with an elbow and Styles hit an Asai moonsault into an inverted DDT on Kurt Angle.  Styles went for the pin but got the count of only two.  Styles held his arms out like a cross and the crowd started to really get behind him.  Styles went for a snap suplex, but Angle blocked it and performed a belly-to-belly suplex.  Angle hit Styles with another forearm smash.  Angle went for a roundhouse right, but Styles blocked it and tagged Samoa Joe.  He hit Angle with a powerslam and tried to get the pin but Angle kicked out at two.  Samoa Joe ended up hitting Angle with a tiger driver and Brain Hebner hit the mat for a quick three count.  Styles didn't make it in time and the fans gave Samoa Joe a nasty heel pop.  Angle cried "foul play" to the referee but while he was looking away Styles dropkicked him out of the ring.  Angle was raged and has planes of getting Styles back for humiliating him in front of all his fans.

Non-Title Tag Team Match
Evolution (Triple H & Batista)
Sting & Randy Orton

The main event between four of the biggest superstars in Classic Championship Wrestling wasn't much of a match.  The teams kept brawling and hitting the ring, constantly distracting Earl Hebner, allowing Evolution and Ric Flair to get a lot of cheap shots in.  Toward the end of the match Sting was thrown out of the ring.  He was hurt against the guardrail.  Batista tossed Orton out of the ring and hit him with the Demon Bomb on the concrete floor.  Orton was counted out and Evolution got the cheap victory over Sting and Orton.  Orton had to be carried out by CCW officials, Sting, and Matt Hardy.

The Commissioner Speaks

The CCW Commissioner Mick Foley came to the ring and said next week Randy Orton will get a match against Batista and Sting will get a match against Triple H.  The crowd went wild, but Foley was not done at all.  Foley announced Ric Flair would have to face Mitsuharu Misawa as well.  The crowd went wild as Foley left the ring and the show came to a close.  Evolution responded by attacking Sting and Orton backstage; however, Kobashi and Misawa came to the rescue.

Yeah, this is not the best card, but I have already ran my second and it was way better!

Good highflying opener.. Nothing pumps up a crowd better..

The Father James Mitchell angle is a little confusing... Did you just forget to remove him as Awesome's manager? Does it help represent a face turn for Awesome & Richards?

Matt Hardy seemed like the odd man out, but I think he can hang.

Nice La Parka & Cibernetico feud. I mark out like hell for Parka, but Ciberneticois damn cool too. I'll be watching this.

I can see Abyss having a decent hardcore title reign. Snitsky doesn't do much for me.

Huh... Samoa Joe gets the tainted win, but Styles takes out Angle, who whines.. I'm not sure who comes out as the face in the exchange..

Nice main event. A strong heel partnership between Batista & Triple H should run roughshod over your fed for months.

Keep it up, I dig the overall format and feel of it.
Ghost Mask IIIPosted on 12/25/05 at 22:49:35

Yeah, I forgot to take Mitchell out.  He appeared on the card so I used to it show that Awesome and Richards are face.  I think Mitchell will be added as Abyss' manager.  I have Samoa Joe as a heel right now, Styles is my face.  I don't know where I'm taking Hardy right now.  I feel I need to add another singles title with all the stars I have.  Thanks for keeping an eye on CCW.  I'm watching the Universe as well.

Also, I just couldn't run a circuit without La Parka~!  ;D

OK, I'm a little out of sync here, who are the current champions in CCW? La Parka is obviously TV champion and one of the teams in the main I guess are tag champs (I'm assuming Evolution), otherwise I'm not sure. Still, I'll keep reading in order to pick everything up and learn who are the big names (La Parka, I can see...  ;) ).

And I'll ask the same question I ask everyone - booked or unbooked?
Ghost Mask IIIPosted on 12/26/05 at 21:10:59

Unbooked.

I'm thinking of adding a CCW North American Title because I don't know what to do with Hardy, Tanaka, and some of my other mid-card/main event guys.  Orton is my CCW World Heavyweight Champion.  Evolution (Batista/Triple H) are the CCW Tag Team Champions.  La Parka is my CCW TV Champion.  Corino is my CCW Hardcore Champion.
Snabbit888Posted on 12/26/05 at 21:14:55

ACK!  Unbooked docks you a few points in my book. ;)
Ghost Mask IIIPosted on 12/26/05 at 22:16:55

Yeah, I'm thinking about going "booked" because some outcomes have just sucked.  I have ran up to the fourth card (though I have only posted two), and it bothers me when something doesn't go the way I REALLY wanted it to.  I hate title changes that happen fast, ya know?
UnrightPosted on 12/27/05 at 01:46:06

I think if you want to run an unbooked fed like yours, don't be afraid to use the 'r' and 'c' buttons. That way TNM will still surprise you, but you can eliminate any those heat-killing results.
rey619Posted on 12/27/05 at 08:18:00

Or you can what I do, push-cheating. Whenever a champion defends his title, he gets +10 push points over his opponent (or if both are at 100, his opponent gets -10)

Helps champions last longer
Ghost Mask IIIPosted on 12/27/05 at 18:19:59

Cool.  However, I have already go booked.  :-*
Ghost Mask IIIPosted on 12/27/05 at 18:21:36

What am I the Hulk now? I GO BOOKED~!  I have gone booked.  Geee wiiizzz!
