TNA Impact!: February Show 4

We cut straight to the action tonight with John Hennigan making his debut against Bobby Roode of Team Canada but tonight, in our main event, Christian Cage takes on Christopher Daniels. Also, America's Most Wanted takes on two of Kip James' old friends in Kevin Nash & Sean Waltman tonight! Also, the final spot in the X Division Ladder Match will be decided tonight in what Jim Ross is calling a Second Chance Battle Royal in which all the losers in the past qualifying matches will face off in a 5-man battle royal where the men can only be eliminated by pinfall or submission. The winner takes the final spot! Now, onto the action!

John Hennigan pinned Bobby Roode with the Standing Shooting Star Press in 0:19:25.
Rating: ** 1/4

John Hennigan looked good in his debut tonight against Bobby Roode.

Simon Diamond pinned Shark Boy with the Simonizer in 0:09:17.
Rating: ** ¾

Chase Stevens pinned Brother Ray with the Shooting Star Press in 0:12:36.
Rating: ** ½

Kip James and Petey Williams battled to a no contest in 0:01:33.
Rating: * ¾

This match ended abruptly when Petey Williams collapsed a minute-and-a-half into the match and began grasping his knee. EMTs had to be called out and a look of concern took over everyone's faces including Kip James. This doesn't look good for Petey Williams who was slated to be in the X Division Ladder Match at Fist of Vengeance.

Sabu and Samoa Joe defeated 3 Live Kru (B.G. James and Ron Killings) when Joe pinned B.G. James after a power bomb in 0:20:26.
Rating: ****

This match ended when B.G. James was pinned by Samoa Joe after a power bomb and Ron Killings was too concerned with a heckling fan to break up the pin. Afterwards, B.G. James got in Killings face about not being there to help him. Killings tried to explain but James simply shoved Killings back and walked out. Things aren't looking good for 3 Live Kru... However, it's now time for the Second Chance Battle Royal!

Second Chance Battle Royal

C. Riley defeated D. Young after a vertical facebuster in 0:10:02.
C. Riley defeated Siaki after a sitdown faceslam in 0:13:22.
M. Bentley defeated C. Riley after the Superkick in 0:14:07.
J. Hardy defeated M. Bentley after the Swanton Bomb in 0:17:03.
Rating: *****

Match of the year! It had everything you want! Psychology, high spots, technical wrestling, everything! In the end, Jeff Hardy took the final spot in the X Division Ladder Match however we have been informed that Petey Williams will be out of action so due to this, there will be another open spot. The Director of Authority, Jim Ross, has taken this under advisement and said that he will make an announcement concerning who will get the vacant spot as soon as he comes up with a solution.

America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm) defeated Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman when C. Harris pinned Waltman with the Catatonic in 0:16:27.
Rating: *** 1/4

Kip James had a seat at ringside for this match. Surprisingly, he didn't interfere in the match, simply observed. Apparently, he was taking mental notes to prepare for his match with AMW at Fist of Vengeance.

Christopher Daniels pinned Christian Cage with the Last Rites in 0:16:34.
Rating: **** ½

Christian Cage lost this match due to interference from Jeff Jarrett. We received word that these two will meet in a grudge match at Fist of Vengeance. After the match, Jarrett jumped Christian and began delivering a beat-down. All of a sudden, Edge's music hits and he runs out. He seems to be saving his brother Christian Cage, however he turns on him and helps Jarrett beat him down. Suddenly, Rhino is running down the ramp and he runs Jarrett & Edge out of the ring. He helps Christian Cage up and it looks like things are heating up for Fist of Vengeance. We'll see you all there!

Other Notes: Petey Williams injured his right knee in his match with Kip James and he will be out for around 6 months. We wish him the best in his recovery.

I like Heel Edge alot, glad to see he didnt save Christian. Solid Circuit so far. Looking forward to the next PPV. There is only a couple of things that have bothered me about the new NWA. Jarrett/Trytan at the first PPV. I know Christian's appearance saved this match from being awful. But Trytan isnt even close to being a secondary show main eventer, let alone the first PPV main event. and the A1/Apolo feud. It is striking me as a feud that will never die, or entertain the fans. Everything else is top notch thus far though. Entertaining circuit up to this point, keep up the good work.

Thanks for the feedback. :)

Jarrett/Trytan was a temporary feud I had going for the sole purpose of debuting Christian Cage. A transitional feud, if you will. Think of Brock Lesnar/Hardcore Holly at the Royal Rumble. That's what this was. It served it's purpose and Trytan shall never be in the upper card again.  :P

As for Apolo/A1, we'll wait and see what happens. I needed some kind of lower card feud and TNM gave me this one due to random interference so I went with it. Almost everything in my circuit is unbooked so I mostly go with what TNM gives me although I have to step in every once in a while.

Once again, thanks for the feedback and keep reading. :) The PPV is coming soon.
