Match #1
The Hurricane/Shark Boy vs. The Basham Brothers (w/ Shaniqua & Lamont)
Tag team action kicked of this week's edition of High Voltage as the Basham Brothers took on The Hurricane and Shark Boy. This match was about what was to be expected. A very solid tag match, no doubt, but there were few doubts in anyone's mind as to what the result of this one was going to be. Doug and Danny get a good victory after the Ball And Gag Bomb on The Hurricane.

The Basham Brothers (Danny Basham and Doug Basham) defeated Shark Boy and The Hurricane when Danny Basham pinned Hurricane after the Ball And Gag Bomb in 0:08:57.
Rating: *** 3/4

We have heard some rumblings backstage that Shaniqua is in the works of getting the Bashams another shot at the World Tag Team Titles, so every win counts at this point. The Bashams are certainly talented enough, and since joining forces with John Bradshaw Layfield, they look to have regained their edge.

Match #2
Team Canada (w/ Dawn Marie) vs. Buck Quartermain/Lex Lovett
The tag team competition continued as Team Canada took on unsigned Buck Quartermain and Lex Lovett. Quartermain and Lovett had a great opportunity to prove themselves to GCW officials, but this wouldn't be their night. They weren't firing all cylinders whereas Teddy Hart and Petey Williams were doing the exact opposite. Dawn Marie's charges had little trouble with their opponents and notched up an impressive win.

Team Canada (Teddy Hart and Petey Williams) defeated Buck Quartermain and Lex Lovett when Teddy Hart pinned B. Quartermain after a flying legdrop in 0:04:43.
Rating: ***

Match #3
MAIN EVENT
Rob Conway vs. Sean O'Haire (w/ Daffney)
Our main event pitted Rob Conway, who's still trying to find his niche in singles action, taking on the Prophecy's muscle and overall scary dude, Sean O'Haire. At first glance, one would expect O'Haire to have little to no trouble with Conway tonight. That's why we have the matches. Conway brought it tonight, stunning O'Haire early with several nearfalls. O'Haire did get the advantage, but Conway refused to die, catching O'Haire in more than one precarious position with roll ups and inside cradles. Conway would get the advantage once more, almost hitting the Ego Trip, but O'Haire got out of it and almost took Conway's head off with a lariat. The Seanton Bomb followed, and victory was O'Haire's.

Sean O'Haire pinned Rob Conway with the Seanton Bomb in 0:10:58.
Rating: ***

This match goes to show what can happen if you underestimate your opponent. One break and Conway could just as easily have won the match.

No surprises there. I think the Bashams needed a win here more than everyone, if only to remind us they're still around and kicking. I doubt they'll dethrone the reigning champs any time soon, but good luck to them anyway.
