NAWA Glory 3/11/04

MattHarmsPosted on 10/01/05 at 04:40:17

This is NAWA Glory airing March 11th 2004(but taped from Fresno California on March 5th 2004). Tonight Teddy Hart defends the NAWA Cruiserweight Title against Elix Skipper, AJ Styles takes on Christopher Daniels, Destruction and Armageddon of the Archangels of Anarchy face off against Shawn Stasiak and Mike Sanders, Sacrifice faces Norman Smiley, and much more. Plus we have an announcement about an NAWA special airing this Monday on Free TV and believe me, you will Beware the Ides of the March...Again, on this very special NAWA Glory Xtra Special.

"Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top plays and the crowd explodes into boos as Miles Stylish makes his way to the ring with the International Title Belt draped over his shoulder and dressed in a three piece suit. Stylish is followed by Jerry Lynn and the Dark Warrior, also wearing three piece suits with the Dark Warrior having his face painted as well. Last week on this program, these three forged what could very well be the most deadly alliance to ever hit the NAWA and there might not be a force that can band together to stop them. Stylish enters the ring, basking in the boos.

Stylish: Only once in a lifetime do three great men unite and show you such greatness so I must request that you keep the level of your inane booing done and bow down to the greatest three man combo in wrestling today. Jerry Lynn, the Dark Warrior, and of course, myself, the NAWA International Champion Miles Stylish. I warned everyone last week. The three of us would take the New Age Wrestling Alliance by storm. We would take what is ours, and who could stop us. Harry Harris? Oh yeah, he is in a hospital bed right now, he was the first unofficial victim of us. Althrough I injured his knee to the point where he had to take nine months off, I give full credit to my good friend Jerry Lynn for starting off the process back at StarClash.

Stylish smirks and mocks someone limping around as the crowd chants "We want Harry" but Stylish shakes his head.

Stylish: You won't get what you want this time. Harry Harris will never be seen in Miles Stylish's New Age Wrestling Alliance ever again. He will never dare show his face, or the three of us, will rise to end him once and for all. Now you might ask, what about Raven? Well what about Raven? The fact that the Dark Warrior took him out with one chairshot. Raven could not hope to beat any of us, but just in case, the Dark Warrior will give Raven an NAWA Xtreme Title match at Reality Check, to crush him once and for all. How about Rapmaster Killings? Well, you saw it last week. Destrucity Death Drop, Rapmaster got dropped on his head, not that it did much damage due to the vacancy up there.

Lynn and Stylish exchange a high five as the crowd boos them.

Stylish: Norman Smiley? Been there done that. Tony Mamaluke? Been there done that. Ron Waterman, hold tight, because we are coming to get our belt, so you will be dealt with in the not so distant future. The Gambler? Been there done that. No one can stop us. No one in this company. Now my good friend Jerry Lynn wants to say something as it pertains to Rapmaster Killings.

Jerry Lynn: Rapmaster, you have something that belongs to me. Back at Wrestleclash II, you took the Television Title Belt from me, when I didn't even submit. Sure, you have since been injured and lost that belt and then regained it, but the fact is, I never technically lost the Television Title Belt in the ring. Come Reality Check, Killings, if you got what it takes, I am coming for that Television Title. We will get more gold, to go with the Xtreme Title and the International Title. So prepare, Rapmaster, because we will be the only thing in this federation that matters when we have all the good. Warrior, the microphone is yours.

Dark Warrior: Once again, it seems like everyone through the vastness of the world, cannot get the method to the Dark Warrior's sophistacated plans. There is no inner meaning, the fact that the three of us will run roughshot over this company, making everyone cower in our wakes, with the only force that can possibally match Destrucity. This brings me to speak upon the next challenger for the New Age Wrestling Alliance Xtreme Championship that I currently possess, the gladiator known as Raven. I hear of your great speaking powers, but they will matter little as I stand on your throat, deprieving you of all the air as it fills your lungs, rendering your ability to speak powerless, as your lungs shall be crushed from the force of Destrucity. Come Reality Check, when I put the Xtreme Championship on the line, Raven will be forced to receive the harsh reality that no one matches up to the Dark Warrior in any form of combat. Get ready Raven, for Reality Check, on the 28th of March of the year known as 2004, Destrucity will strike you down like a well placed lightning bolt.

Miles Stylish nods approvingly before taking the microphone.

Stylish: The fans of the New Age Wrestling Alliance, you are seeing before you the newest force in the NAWA. We are no Triple Threat, because we don't have that aged hackjob Shane Douglas attempting to act like it's 1995 and he's in ECW. We are no Boogie Woogie Regime, as we are too damn good to have such a midcard name. We are simply, the Triumvirate, the force that will take the NAWA by storm. There is no force in the back that can...

"Ready or Not" by the Fugees plays and out comes Kevin Nash to cheers from the crowd. Kevin Nash seems like he would like to disagree that no one can stop the Triumvirate. Nash has a microphone in hand.

Nash: Gentlemen and Warrior, I couldn't help overhearing your promo. You are pretty much saying that you are the elite force in the New Age Wrestling Alliance. Well, I would have to disagree with that boys, because there is another faction in the New Age Wrestling Alliance currently, they are known as the Kliq.

The crowd cheers as Stylish has a sour expression on his face.

Stylish: The Kliq? Quit wasting my time, with trival challenges Nash. Let's face it. The only two good members of your Kliq is up in Stanford Connecticut and they don't match up to Miles Stylish, and I didn't need to marry the Boss' Doctor to achieve my spot and my greatness, which is something I can't say for certain friends of yours, Kevin.

Nash: If you were really so good, you would accept my challenge for a six man tag team match involving the Kliq against you three punks in the ring.

Stylish: You know what, Nash. We accept your challenge. The three of us versus three of you. I look forward to finishing you off once and for all in the ring.

Nash nods and he walks off. Six Man Tag Team Match, the Kliq against the Triumvirate tonight on Glory.

"Take My Breath Away" by Berlin plays and Teddy Hart comes out from the back on crutches along with Petey Williams. Teddy Hart is scheduled to defend the NAWA Cruiserweight Title against Elix Skipper tonight, what the hell is he playing at! Teddy winces as he enters the ring, doing a poor job at faking this injury. It is obvious what Teddy is pulling, he doesn't want to wrestle Elix Skipper, because of the two recent pinfalls that Prime Time scored over the Cruiserweight Wrestling Prodigy. Teddy has the microphone.

Teddy Hart: Tonight was to be the night that I put away another challenger, in Elix Skipper, but unfortunately a horrible accident happened. I suffered a serious leg injury, that will keep me out of action tonight. You see, I slipped on some ice and banged up my knee pretty bad. The only thing that would derail the Cruiserweight Wrestling Prodigy is ice, causing my knee to be banged up severely. So tonight, I will not be able to school Elix Skipper, instead my good friend Petey Williams will do the job instead, but Elix, you better believe when my knee heals, I will prove you why I am Wrestling Excellence.

Teddy Hart is once again doing a bad job to show the supposed injury. That little twit doesn't want to face Elix Skipper, because he knows that Prime Time will most likely walk out of here with the Cruiserweight Title Belt! Prime Time beat Teddy in both a tag team match and a non title match, and now Teddy Hart is refusing to give Elix Skipper his rightful title shot.

"Just Say it, Just Say My Name, Prime Time Baby"

Teddy Hart rams Elix into the corner and hooks him, taking him down with a suplex. Teddy steps to the outside, to the top rope and leaps off. SHOOTING STAR ELBOW TO THE CHEST. Teddy stands over Elix, posing, and holding the Cruiserweight Title Belt over his head, as the crowd boos Teddy Hart.

Backstage:

Raven is standing by backstage.

Raven: Last week, I was ambushed from behind by the Dark Warrior. Warrior, you are really playing a dangerous game right now. My destiny is a one on one match with Christopher Daniels, once and for all to settle the score and anyone that attempts to derail my destiny will be put down. You speak about how you are the greatest orator in the New Age Wrestling Alliance, but your inane babble does not hold up to the sophisicated whit of the Raven. The second thing that troubles me, is that you hold the Xtreme Title. I know all about Xtreme, Warrior. I helped built Phildephia as one of the best Xtreme wrestling towns on the planet. A little operation you may heard of called Extreme Championship Wrestling. The fact that you are called Xtreme Champion, in the New Age Wrestling Alliance, is making a complete mockery out of everything that I and several others have worked to build in hardcore wrestling. A complete lunacy, to put in perspective. Xtreme Rules Match at Reality Check, with that Xtreme Championship that you have made a mockery of on the line. Yeah, I am game. I do not need Xtreme Rules to beat you, Warrior, but you want to be Xtreme, you want to be the hardcore, I will show you the meaning of hardcore. I will show you that it takes more than mind numbing promos to hold a championship belt. The Xtreme Title will go somewhere where it can be respected, to the nest of Raven. So it is written, so it shall come to pass. Quote the Raven, nevermore.

Backstage:

Michael Shane and Sean Waltman arrive at the arena in street clothes, looking a little hung over and out of it when they are greeted by a cheerful Kevin Nash.

Waltman: Sorry, Kev, been partying all last night and we overslept, missing the first flight to the arena. After all, our adoring public needs to see their NAWA Tag Team Champions and all the women who are shallow enough to think they have a chance to see two gentlemen who are something they can never hope to achieve. Our male fans need to see something to aspire to greatness. We figure we should make a token apperance at the arena, after all, the four of us can go out on the town after the show, just like old times. This wrestling gig, it doesn't really matter, we only have to defend this belts every thirty days and we can half ass it, these fans still pay to see us all the same.

Nash: Let me ask you one question, Sean? You appear to be a little, drunk.

Waltman: Maybe if I am. Happy hour is noon till midnight after all. Or is it midnight to noon, I can never tell. Anyway, we are the best tag team in wrestling today, and maybe Michael Shane can win that Cruiserweight Title, myself, I can capture the Television Title, Scott can win the International Title, and you can be the champion of the world.

Shane: Yeah, it's not like any team can hope to challenge us. We cannot be touch. All we have to do is go out, defend the belts every thirty days, party, deflower a few virgins, the whole nine yards. We don't have to lift a finger, in defending that title. After all, you headlined WCW all those years by doing that, so we are just leading by your great example. We decided to over do it a little bit, because after all, we don't have a match tonight.

Nash: The thing is gentlemen, is that you do have a match tonight.

Waltman drops his bag and clutches on to the wall for support.

Waltman: What, I don't remember agreeing to this. Was I drunk when I asked for it? If I was, we should get that contract voided, as I obviously didn't know what I was talking about.

Nash: No relax, you weren't drunk. I voluteered you boys and Scott for a little six man tag team main event match later tonight.

Shane and Waltman give Nash disgusted looks but Nash presses on.

Nash: It's a big time match, can really raise your stock in the company. You would need to put in some hard work, so I suggest you sober yourselves up for this match. It's against Miles Stylish, Jerry Lynn, and Dark Warrior. I will be seeing you before the match.

Nash walks off, whistling but Shane and Waltman exchange a look.

Waltman: He can't do that! He can't book us in matches when we aren't prepared.

Shane: Actually, he can. We did sign power of attorney over to him when we became tag team champions, so we can spend more time partying and less time in the office. It was only so he can hand pick our challengers.

Waltman: He has gone to far. It was only supposed to be title defense. We shouldn't have to wrestle in this dump. We are the NAWA Tag Team Champions. I was a member of DeGeneration X and the legendary Shawn Michaels is your cousin or uncle or some family relation. We need to take care of this Nash problem right now.

Shane: I have an idea. Let's talk somewhere where the roaming cameras cannot hear us.

Shane and Waltman walk off as we fade out.

"The French Horn Theme" plays and out comes Pierre Marquette and Lord Napoleon of the French Revolution. Pierre Marquette enters the ring, looking a little pissed.

Pierre Marquette: Last week, the Ding Dongs, yes the Ding Dongs, attacked us from behind, costing us a match. I have reason to believe that the Ding Dongs are the Backyard Dudes who we ran out of the federation forever. I am throwing down a challenge to the Ding Dongs, one match, one match, against the French Revolution. When we win, you unmask but if some fluke happens, the Backyard Dudes can get reinstated or in more correct terms, you can take off those stupid outfits and be your normal, subnormal, selves. As for our opponents tonight. Waterman and Mamaluke, you may think just because you are going to wrestle each other in an NAWA World Title Match at Reality Check, you are good, but you are not. I am going to pin Ron Waterman in the center of the ring and end his undefeated streak. Then, the Council of Five will have no choice but to give me a shot at the NAWA World Title and I will become the first french World Champion ever.

Marquette has a really inflated opinion of his ability if he thinks he can beat Ron Waterman. Waterman has never lost a match in this company and Pierre Marquette's biggest win was a fluke win over Miles Stylish back in both men's days in the minor leagues, which it was basically Pierre rolling up Miles and Miles kicking out just at three. "Stayin Alive" by the Bee Gees plays and out comes Tony Mamaluke. Mamaluke will face Ron Waterman for the NAWA World Title at Reality Check but tonight he is going to team up with him.

"The Unforgiven" by Metallica plays and out comes Ron Waterman to a massive pop, with the NAWA World Title Belt over his shoulder. Waterman steps into the ring and the French Revolution attack Tony Mamaluke beating him down but Waterman pulls them off as the bell rings.

Cover but two count when Pierre breaks up the cover. Pierre pounds Waterman from behind but Waterman whips Pierre into the ropes and huge spinebuster. The Ding Dongs are watching this match from the ramp, with their big ass bell in toll. Waterman has Pierre pressed over his head and he dumps him on top of Napoleon. Waterman drops a double elbow down across the chests of the French Revolution. Waterman lifts up Napoleon and power bombs him. Waterman lifts up Pierre and scoops him up, before throwing him onto Napoleon with a fallaway slam.

Waterman walks over and tags in Tony Mamaluke. Mamaluke enters the ring as both French Revolution are down as Mamaluke leaps onto them with the Sicilian Jam. Mamaluke lifts up Pierre and double leg takedown itno the Sicilian Cloverleaf. Mamaluke pulls back on the hold, attempting to get a submission out of Pierre. Lord Napoleon slowly pulls himself up and attacks Mamaluke from behind and this brings Waterman into the ring. Waterman goes to lariat Napoleon but Napoleon ducks and WATERMAN CONNECTS WITH A VICIOUS LARIAT TO THE CHEST OF MAMALUKE. Napoleon dives at the ankles of Waterman, holding him back as Pierre has Mamaluke pinned with a roll up and scores the pin!

The French Revolution (Lord Napoleon and Pierre Marquette) defeated Ron Waterman and Tony Mamaluke when P. Marquette pinned Mamaluke after a roll up in 0:04:23.
Rating: * 1/4

Pierre and Napoleon leave the ring, with the back, stealing the win. Mamaluke is up and he looks ticked off. Waterman has his back turned as Mamaluke snatches the belt from the referee. Mamaluke runs around and SMASHES THE BELT INTO THE HEAD OF WATERMAN. Mamaluke kneels down and fires some punches to the face of Waterman, as a few boos are heard from the crowd but some cheering too. Mamaluke backs off and tucks the belt underneath his legs and LEGDROPS THE BELT INTO HIS FACE! Mamaluke looks down at Waterman for a minute before a horrifying looking crosses his place. Mamaluke mouths: "I am going to die." Mamaluke leaps out of the ring and runs to the back. Waterman is up but Mamaluke is out of the ring and to the back as the crowd chants "Fuck him up." We will be right back.

"Going Under" plays and out comes Norman Smiley. Norman has had many tough bouts throughout his two year stint in the NAWA but Sacrifice may be the most unbeatable wrestler he has ever competed against.

"Hell's Bells" by AC/DC plays and out comes Sacrifice along with Christopher Daniels. Sacrifice steps into the ring, showing no emotion. Sacrifice stares down at Norman blankly as this match begins.

Sacrifice(w/Christopher Daniels) vs Norman Smiley

Raven and the Dark Warrior in a non-title debate... hilarious  ;D

You certainly put a lot of effort in your cards, and besides a few spelling errors, they are an enjoyable read.

Is Dark Warrior a fantasy wrestler? Or the Ultimate Warrior? How about Stylish, the french dudes and Daniels' people?

The Dark Warrior is indeed The Ultimate Warrior under a sinister evil heel persona(which may have in fact saved his career in the NAWA, because I was going to fire him a year and a half ago.) and all the others are fantasy.
