Match #1
"Primetime" Elix Skipper/Low-Ki vs. Team Canada (w/ Dawn Marie)
Though Elix Skipper and Low-Ki did not take the World Tag Team Titles at Gold Rush, they showed that they most certainly can compete with teams the caliber of the World's Greatest Tag Team. Tonight they had a match with Team Canada, who are still looking for respect in the tag team division. Hart and Williams are very capable, and with Dawn Marie at ringside, they are a very dangerous team. But it's hard to bet against Skipper and Low-Ki these days. The former champions look poised to get a rematch against the World's Greatest Tag Team for the World Tag Team Titles, and they kept rolling with a victory tonight after Low-Ki kicked Petey William hard in the chin and knocked him into a German suplex from Primetime.

Elix Skipper and Low-Ki defeated Team Canada (Teddy Hart and Petey Williams) when Skipper pinned P. Williams after a German suplex in 0:07:59.
Rating: ***

Match #2
Non-Title Match
"The Alpha Male" Monty Brown (North American champion) vs. "Surfer" Cody Hawk
The great thing about Global Championship Wrestling is that it's all about opportunity. Wrestlers can come in and try their best against GCW's finest and possibly impress officials enough to walk away with a job. That's exactly what "Surfer" Cody Hawk was looking to do tonight. Unfortunately, Hawk's opponent tonight was North American champion Monty Brown. Not only Monty Brown, but a livid Monty Brown. Hawk seemed pumped up, but this just wasn't going to be his night. The Surfer didn't even get a punch in as the Alpha Male completely ripped through him and took the win with the Pounce.

Monty Brown pinned Cody Hawk with the Pounce in 0:01:31.
Rating: ** 3/4

It's matches like these that remind us just how dominant Monty Brown can be. Eddie Guerrero doesn't know what he's gotten himself into.

Match #3
Rob Conway vs. Abyss (w/ Shaniqua & Lamont)
After watching this match, only one question can be asked: how scary is Abyss? Abyss has become such a scary and dominant force every time he steps in the ring that the fans are really starting to take a shine to him. Shaniqua has done her best to keep Abyss deaf to the cheers, but you can tell that Abyss enjoys hearing them. I certainly did not envy Rob Conway in this one. He tried what he could, but it's so hard to hurt this behemoth. Once Abyss got a hold of him, this one was over.

Abyss pinned Rob Conway after the Torture Rack Bomb in 0:01:53.
Rating: ***

Another win for Abyss, who got even more cheers this week. Hearing this, Shaniqua took some time away from making Lamont extremely uncomfortable to get Abyss out of there.

Match #4
MAIN EVENT
Cruiserweight Title Match
Paul London (c) vs. Matt Stryker
This match was originally supposed to be a non-title match, but Paul London showed just what kind of guy he is, offering Matt Stryker a title shot since this is Stryker's hometown of Cincinnati. Stryker was undoubtedly wrestling in front of many friends and family and as such, pulled out everything he could. London is usually very well prepared, but it looked like he was caught a little off guard by Stryker's tenacity and hometown advantage. Stryker even had London all set up for the Stryker Driver (Death Valley Driver) but the champion had the presence of mind to spin out of it with a twisting DDT. The London Calling followed, and London retained, but almost regretting his decision to make it a title match in the first place.

Paul London pinned Matt Stryker with the London Calling in 0:08:20.
Rating: *** 1/2
(Paul London retained the GCW Cruiserweight Title.)

We went off the air with Paul London shaking Stryker's hand and giving him a nice round of applause.

I like the angle going with Abyss. I could see this turning him into a monster face.  Always nice to see my man London get a win, too bad it was over an area guy in Stryker.
