Ep 11 - Mysterious Figure - 3/15/89

Dungeon Title:
Dick Slater vs Random Challenger from Roster

Devon Storm is met with a mixture of cheers and boos.
Devon Storm hits Dick Slater.
Devon Storm leaves the ring.
He returns with a chair.
Devon Storm sets up the chair.
Devon Storm executes a spinebuster slam onto the chair on Dick Slater.
Earl Hebner counts: One, two, kickout.
Devon Storm hits a spinning leg lariat on Dick Slater.
Earl Hebner removes the chair from the ring.

Dick Slater goes for a roundhouse right, but Devon Storm reverses it.

Devon Storm accepted the anyone in the locker room challenge from Dick Slater and ended Slater's run as the Dungeon Champ after only one week.  Storm will face Sam Houston later on tonight.

The crowd is starting to get behind Jim Neidhart.
Tony Anthony chops Jim Neidhart.
There are chants of 'boring, boring'.

Sgt. Slaughter hits Tim Horner with a spinebuster slam.
Chad Patton counts: One, two, in the ropes...
Sgt. Slaughter gets a chokehold on Tim Horner.
Chad Patton warns Sgt. Slaughter to let go.

Sgt. Slaughter goes for a bearhug, but Tim Horner counters it with a facerake.
Tim Horner whips Sgt. Slaughter into the ropes.

{Camera starts on a shot of the side doors and they then open to reveal a shadowing figure that we can't quite make out and who's voice has been digitally altered}

Mystery figure:  "Bret Hart, I made the call to John Kronus, because I know he's got the one think you want, the Universal Title.  You can't live without that title.  And I know that.  But there is someone else that can't live without the power that comes with being a champion, and that person is me.  {evil laugh}"

Sam Houston gets the win, but not the title, as Tammy Lynn Bytch, B-Y-T-C-H, trips Houston and gets her man, Devon Storm disqualified.  And Dick Slater entered the ring after the match and argued with Charles Robinson for the disqualification, leading to Slater giving a piledriver to Robinson to the cheers of the fans, as Houston and Slater shake hands after the match.

Chris Jericho vs Mando Guerrero

Mando Guerrero defeated Chris Jericho by disqualification in 0:17:12.

[John Kronus interfered against Mando Guerrero.]

Jericho wins the match thanks to a chairshot from John Kronus to Mando Guerrero.  And the weirdest thing about it, is that Kronus showed no signs of even trying to hit Jericho.  After the match Jericho was confused as to why he was being disqualified, while Mando was irate and gave chase to Kronus, a man that he thought was his friend.

Bret Hart vs Apolo Dantes

Bret Hart nails Apolo Dantes with a Russian legsweep.
Bret Hart hits an elbowdrop from the second turnbuckle on Apolo Dantes.
Mike Chioda counts: One, two, thr... shoulder up.
Bret Hart gets a sleeperhold on Apolo Dantes.
Mike Chioda asks Apolo Dantes if he should stop the fight.
Apolo Dantes doesn't respond.
Mike Chioda stops the fight after 16 seconds.
The crowd is on its feet cheering for Bret Hart.

Bret Hart defeated Apolo Dantes when Apolo Dantes passed out in a sleeperhold in 0:03:23.
Rating: ***

Bret Hart puts a quick end to Apolo Dantes, and then grabs the ring announcer's microphone.

Hart:  "John Kronus I know you are here tonight.  Get out here right now!"

And with that, the side doors open, the arena lights go out, and headlights from a car in the parking lot illuminate a figure standing in the doorway that looks familiar, but can't quite be made out, while the figure stands laughing at Bret Hart in the ring.  And just as quickly the doors close, and Kronus is in the middle of the ring attacking Bret Hart from behind.

Hurry!!  Post EP 12!!!  I gotta see what happens next.  This is one of my favorite circuits to date, keep up the amazing work.
