NAWA Luck of the Draw Preview-Predictions Welcomed

MattHarmsPosted on 08/15/05 at 02:32:51

It is that time of the month again(no not that one). It is time for the NAWA to return to Pay Per View with a blockbuster lineup of matches. Also around the time this Pay Per View is posted, the winners of the 2003 NAWA Awards will be posted, so if you haven't voted already, you still have a couple of weeks left to vote. Now on with the Preview:

Luck of the Draw Match, for the Vacated New Age Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Championship Belt.

Featuring the Talents of: The Gambler, Miles Stylish, Tony Mamaluke, Scott Hall, Jeff Jarrett, Ron Waterman, Norman Smiley, CM Punk, Juventud Guerrera, Lenny Lane, Christopher Daniels, Jack Evans, Johnny Devine, Petey Williams, Pierre Marquette, Barry Horowitz, Johnny Swinger, The winners of the latest installment of the French Revolution vs the Backyard Dudes, and the NAWA debut of...Kevin Nash.

The first main event of the first NAWA show. The Luck of the Draw Match. To crown the very first NAWA World Champion. On that night, Jeff Jarrett walked out with the NAWA World Title. Last year, the event was brought back as a way to crown a number one contender for the NAWA World Title. Raven won the 2003 installment of this event. This year we find ourselves without an NAWA World Champion due to the vial and henious actions of the Archangels of Anarchy who took out Raven, just after he won the NAWA World Title. Due to mass internal injuries Raven suffered in that beating, he had to be stripped of the belt by the Council of Five and the belt is going to be put on the line at Luck of the Draw. Everyone wants the belt. Only one person can have it. Two men start out. Every ninety seconds a new NAWA superstar enters. The last man standing becomes the NAWA World Title.

Now these questions, I must ask you, the NAWA reader.

Who will enter at numbers one and two?:
Who will enter at number twenty?:
Who will be in the final four?:
Who will be the runner up?:
Who will be the victor and the  brand new NAWA World Champion?:

Tony Mamaluke vs Miles Stylish:
These two men have been going at it for months but they have never stepped foot into the ring until tonight at Luck of the Draw. This all started back before the End of the Days when Stylish commentated during a Television Title Match between Ron Waterman and Tony Mamaluke. Stylish cost Mamaluke this match due to a distraction and this led to a three way dance between Waterman, Mamaluke, and Stylish. Waterman had scored the pin over Mamaluke, much to the irritatation of Stylish. This was going to lead to a match at Last Chance at Redemption but due to a beating from Miles Stylish, Mamaluke was put on the shelf for over two months. Stylish went on his way and pretty much forgot about Mamaluke but the reflections of the past always come back to haunt you. Mamaluke returned, saving the Backyard Dudes from a beating from Stylish. This was to lead to yet another match between Miles Stylish and Tony Mamaluke, but once again it did not happen but for different reasons. Stylish faked an arm injury(in an interesting twist of fate) and brutalized Mamaluke with a pipe. Finally, it will happen at Luck of the Draw. Mamaluke is going into this match at less than one hunder percent due to cracked ribs he suffered at the hands of Miles Stylish(and aggravated by Sacrifice last week on Glory). Can Mamaluke finally shut the mouth of Miles Stylish or will Stylish add another feather in his cap?

Prediction?:

NAWA Cruiserweight Title Match:
AJ Styles vs Teddy Hart(c)

Teddy Hart has held off a number of tough challengers but none more Phenominal than AJ Styles. AJ Styles is perhaps one of the most gifted athletes in the world today and has been on a role like none other over the past couple of months. However, Teddy Hart says he doesn't sweat AJ Styles and says that he would be more fitting of the title "Phenominal". Teddy Hart has worked out a counter to the Styles Clash and has called AJ Styles a one dimensional wrestler. However, there is indeed more than the Styles Clash to AJ Styles. Styles has promised to shut up Teddy Hart once and for all and has hinted that he may be developing a new finishing move that Teddy Hart will not see coming. Will this be enough to take out Teddy or will Teddy Hart continue his reign of terror of NAWA Cruiserweight Champion?

Prediction:

NAWA Tag Team Title Match:
Shawn Stasiak and Mike Sanders(w/Vince Russo) vs Sean Waltman and Michael Shane(c)(w/Kevin Nash)

Last month at StarClash featured Shane and Waltman capturing the NAWA Tag Team Titles from Sanders and Stasiak and that was the beginning of the downhill spiral that Team Jarrett(Jeff Jarrett, Vince Russo, Mike Sanders, and Shawn Stasiak) as they have been losing and bickering a lot over the past couple of months. They have a chance to turn it around and indeed for a couple of weeks, Stasiak and Sanders appeared to have the number of Shane and Waltman but the great equalizer arrived. The man who walks into battle, Kevin Nash. Nash has been the cause of even more bickering. Stasiak and Sanders winning the tag team titles is crucial to the future of Team Jarrett. They will fall apart at the seams as another loss by Sanders and Stasiak to Shane and Waltman could very well send Jeff Jarrett over the edge. Who will walk out with the gold?

Prediction:

Kaz Hayashi vs Elix Skipper:
Prime Time Elix Skipper has been riding high after coming into the NAWA back last October. Kaz Hayashi has stepped up his game in recent months during his tour of the NAWA's sister fed in Japan, Ultimate Japan Wrestling. Both these men will meet at Luck of the Draw, the winner could very well be in line for a shot at the Cruiserweight Title. This should be one to watch.

Prediction:

This Match will be on every Pay Per View between now until the end of the world, get over it, winners qualify for Luck of the Draw:
The Backyard Dudes(F.R.E.D. and Twizted Youth) vs the French Revolution(Lord Napoleon and Jacques Strap)

These two teams have been feuding ever since the French Revolution have come into the NAWA back last fall. They have had many negative star anti-classics. Ricky Ricardo, the third member of the Backyard Dudes, is still in a coma due to taking the Reign of Terror. Either that or he is hiding in shame for selling such a shitty move. Either way, there had been many matches. Pinita on a Pole. Backyard Wrestling Matches. Six Man Tags. Tag Team Matches. Singles Matches. Matches involving salsa and burittos. Matches involving Twizted Youth coming in high on paint and/or glue. If this match gets a DUD, it will be counted as a modern miracle. The winners will get a spot in the Luck of Draw, which will be the only NAWA World Title shot these choads will ever get as long as I'm typing this stuff, bucko.
