As the show opens, 3CW Champion: Doug Basham is arriving alone at the arena, dressed in a suit. Suddenly, out of no where, Shane Douglas attacks him. The 2 brawl for a moment with Douglas getting the better of it. Douglas then grabbed Basham's title belt and started pounding the invading champion on the head with it, busting him open. Road agents, officials, & security rushed back to pull them apart. But, after separating them, Basham laid there motionless & Douglas was dragged off kicking & screaming for further revenge.

M-N-M (Joey Matthews and Johnny Nitro) defeated America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm) when Nitro pinned C. Harris after the Snapshot in 0:18:31.

MJ: Christopher Daniels, last week , you arrived here to officially kick off 3CW's attempt to shut us down.
CD: Look it's real simple. I'm here as part of 3CW's shut down crew because I'm the best. I've wrestled all around the world & I've dominated where ever I went. I've been an X Division Champion in TNA and I've dominated all over Japan and the indys here in the states. I'm the best there is in that ring & everybody here knows it. Tonight will be no different as I go out there again & prove my supremacy. This interview.... is over.

Shane Douglas comes to the ring with Doug Basham's bloody 3CW Title belt.
SD: Cut the f**king music! For the past 2 weeks, I've been jumped by people wearing masks. You can only guess that they came from 3CW, so, I tonight I took matters into my own hands. (holds up Basham's belt). The first part of my revenge is complete. I showed not only beat down Doug Basham, I took his belt & showed him just what happens when you f**k with "The Franchise"! And now, Doug Basham can't compete tonight. So, I'll tell you what., if anyone has the guts to team with Morgan & Cage, you're more than welcome to get your ass....
Just then a masked man comes from the crowd & attacks Douglas from behind. He not only takes Basham's 3CW title from Douglas, but, he grabs the Western States Title from him as well. The masked man then stands over the fallen champion and pulls off his mask revealing himself to be KURT ANGLE!
Angle grabs the microphone.
KA: Douglas, if you want a fight tonight, you got one. I'll see you in the main event. And then on Sunday, I'll see you in the ring when I take back my title for good!
Angle drops the 2 belts on Douglas & leaves the ring.

TD: You know, last week, you (pointing at VW) ha the chance to squash this whole thing before it got off the ground. But you couldn't get the job done. And you (pointing at Raven) so far 2 of your "unbeatable team" have gone down to the same guy. Well, the punishment for failure is steep gentlemen. Warrior, you need to go get ready for the match I made just for you, because it's next. You are going one on one with Kane. And not only will you, Raven, be banned from ringside, but, you are going to have a tag team match tonight against William Regal & CM Punk.
R: I don't have a problem with that. Since Seven is the only member of The Dark Side left without a match, I can assume that he will be my partner.
TD: Not quite. Tonight, your partner will be the man that you have been trying to destroy lately: Diamond Dallas Page.
R: Page??! Are you serious? You can't expect me to team with Page. I won't do it.
TD: Oh you've got no choice. You will or you'll be suspended. (laughs)
DiBiase walks away leaving Raven seething mad & Vampire Warrior looking upset.

Vampire Warrior defeated Kane by disqualification in 0:05:13.

MJ: Raven, tonight, Ted DiBiase is forcing you to team with your longtime rival, Diamond Dallas Page. Can you two trust each other enough to work together?
R: Trust and hate, and love and fate, and I don't understand. Social grace, the human race, confuse me. These words I speak, bring forth a world of emotions. Emotions of dreams lost, dreams found, and dreams I'll never see. So it is written. So it shall come to pass. But the questions is, will I, or will I not be Diamond Dallas Page's partner? But isn't that the same question, that I've been asked time and time again, since my childhood? Isn't the question really, are there any dreams I'd like to sell? Quote the Raven:"Nevermore."

Ted DiBiase is in his office to make a special announcement.
TD: This Sunday will be our fight for survival. A stand will be made against those who are trying to run us out of business. And to them we have set a limit. We dare them to cross our "line in the sand".While the final card won't be determined until later tonight, this Sunday's pay per view A Line In The Sand will have an unusual format. It will be comprised of mostly Triple Threat & Four Way Matches. I can however tell you right now that the main event that night will be for the Western States Title as "The Franchise" Shane Douglas defends the title against 3CW Champion: "Machine" Doug Basham and Kurt Angle in a 3 man elimination match. The rest of the card will be announced no later than tomorrow morning as we find out just who from 3CW will be participating. Thank you to all the West Coast fans for your support in this battle that we must win.

Apolo pinned Colt Cabana with the Rock Bottom in 0:19:17.

After the match:
Dustin Rhodes runs down to the ring & attacks Colt Cabana. After a brief brawl, Cabana gets control & starts pummeling Rhodes. Suddenly, from out of the crowd, The Midnight Rider gets into the ring & saves Dustin from further abuse. Cabana runs off & The Rider helps Dustin to his feet. When Rhodes sees just who helped him, he pushes The Rider away. The camera picks up Rhodes saying that The Rider let him down 2 weeks ago & that he no longer trusts the masked man. As The Rider begs forgiveness, Rhodes turns his back on him & walks away.

Kurt Angle, Chris Cage and Matt Morgan defeated Matt Striker, Frankie Kazarian and Shane Douglas when K. Angle made Striker submit to the Ankle Lock in 0:25:42.
