Ted DiBiase is in the ring as the show opens.
TD: Last week, we found out that Third Coast Wrestling is going to try and impress the NWA board of directors & run us out of business. They started by attacking our champion & putting him out of action not only last week, but, this week as well. Well I can guarentee that Shane Douglas will be here next week to not only address the situation, but, take action against it. Now as far as this so called "invasion" goes; I have been in contact with 3CW's governing body & we have come to this conclusion that until A Line In The Sand on July 17th, 3CW wrestlers will be allowed to appear on our show. And in some cases even compete against our talent. This is by no means an admission of defeat, it is meerly a chance to showcase some new talent & maybe WHEN we win on the 17th, sign some fresh blood. Speaking of blood please allow me to introduce the man that won the right to face the first 3CW star tonight, The Vampire Warrior.
Vampire Warrior's music plays as he comes to the ring with his traditional goblet of "red liquid". DiBiase shakes his hand & then leaves as we await the arrival of 3CW's first challenger.
As heavy metal music plays a man dressed ina red & black robe steps out from the back. The announcers immediately recognize "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels.

Christopher Daniels pinned Vampire Warrior with the Last Rites in 0:05:57.

Backstage; Western States Tag Team Champions: Frankie Kazarian & Matt Striker are talking when Michael Shane walks up.
Shane: Hey, hey! Frankie! How's it going partner?
Kazarian: Hey man! It's great to see you again. (Kazarian gets up to shake his hand) Yeah I got some gold here (points at his tag title belt). This is my partner.
Shane: Oh yeah, you're that teacher right? (laughs) Well, Frank, it looks like you can do it all for sure if you have a tag title with him.
Striker gets mad and lunges at Shane, but, Kazarian steps in.
Kazarian: Easy Matt, don't let him get to you. He just loves to rib guys.
Shane: Yeah easy buddy, I'm sure Frankie here picked the right guy since I wasn't around.
Striker: Well, on the 17th there won't be any reason for you to stay.
Shane: That's right because 3CW's gonna run you guys out of business. But, don't worry, maybe I can put afew good words in for you. (Shane laughs & walks off leaving Striker & Kazarian looking upset)

Mark Johnson is backstage with the Pacific Coast Champion: Edge.
MJ: Edge, last week you & Elix Skipper both felt the brunt of the 3CW "invasion". Tonight, you take on one of their champions: Sean Waltman.
E: You know Mark, last week, wasn't the first time Sean Waltman & I have had problems. We go a little way back. As a matter of fact, with the exception of Michael Shane, I've fought all three of the other guys that jumped in at the end of that match. RVD & I have been up against eachother once or twice. I've destroyed Billy Gunn not only in the ring, but, I've left him speechless in face to face promos. You remember, it was after I won King Of The Ring. I think I have a clip: (footage is shown from 2001) 'Wow Billy, you sound like a human vacuum cleaner, managing to both suck and blow at the same time! And Billy, since you're not really doing anything lately, I was wondering if you can do me a favor. If in 2 years time at the King of the Ring, I'm not defending a title or even in a match, and my very special assignment is to go to WWF New York and eat a meatball sandwich, then please just shoot me in the head! 1999 is so 2 years ago, and it's not my fault if you've done a big pile of nothing since then. That doesn't give you the right to come out and rain on my parade. And Commissioner, I vow to you that I will not 'Billy Gunn' this King Of The Ring title, because, Billy, I plan on being entertaining! (after the Edge/Billy Gunn match is made) Then I hereby decree that the first act in the "Era of Awsomeness" will be to totally anihalate Billy pregnant dogcakes!' (camera goes back to Edge & Johnson) And as for Sean Waltman, 1998 called and they said that they're sick to death of you. Maybe it's time you joined us in the new millenium.(Edge walks off)

After the match:
Matt Morgan, Chris Cage, & Doug Basham, all beat down Kazarian & Striker, until Shane Douglas; with his head bandaged, runs to the ring with a chair & clears the ring, saving the Western States Tag Team Champions.

Raven is backstage alone, standing with his back to a mirror.
R: Different people need different things. Some people need a family. Some people need titles. Some people claim to need neither. Diamond Dallas Page is a prime example. But I would have to beg to differ with Page. You see, I've known him for a very long time. We've been friends, we've been enemies, we've been friends, we've been enemies again. Diamond Dallas Page swears that he need nothing. Nothing whatsoever. He doesn't need titles. He says; "I don't need a belt to show everyone how great I am." Yet he constantly brings it up. He says I don't need anyone. I don't need the fans. I don't need the support, I'm glad for it, but I don't need them. Yet he panders to the cheers of the fans every single week. It's a little odd to me. You know maybe Page isn't giving the whole story. You see Page and I go back a long way. We both had the same mentor. And as our mentor told us there can only be one. There can only be one who is the best. And Page may have come up with the Diamond Cutter, but the Snake. He gave me the DDT. So it is written, so it shall come to pass. Quote the Raven: "Nevermore."
As Raven walks away from the mirror, his reflction doesn't move. When Raven is completely out of the shot, the "reflection" turns to reveal himself as CM Punk.

Raven pinned Diamond Dallas Page with the Raven Effect in 0:10:07.

Mark Johnson catches up with Shane Douglas in the parking lot.
MJ: Shane Douglas, you were supposed to be under a doctor's care this week thanks to the attack that 3 masked men.
SD: They may have been masked, but, everyone knows d**n well just who they were. Basham & those to outcasts Morgan & Cage tried to put me out. Well this week, I evened the score.
Just then another masked man ran up & attacked Douglas from behind. The 2 brawled around the parking lot until the masked man managed to throw Douglas head first into the front end of the production truck, rendering the Western States Champion unconcious. The masked man then jumped into a waiting car & took off.
