***The Show opens to the end of the last match on CyberSlam.***

JS- Hello everyone. I am Joey Styles, and this is ECW. Last night we witnissed one of the most shocking outcomes in a while. Shane Douglas beat Christian, the former 130 day reigning ECW World Champion, for the ECW Title. I am lucky enough to have the new ECW Champion with us here tonight, in Part 1 of 3 segments of Q&A.

SD- Joey, it's time to stop praising Christian. He is nothing now. He isn't even supposed to be here tonight. But guess who is? Me. The new ECW Champion, and that isn't going to change for a while. I am the Franchise, the heart and soul of ECW, and nothing is going to stop me from being the best ECW World Champion in history. Nothing... (Screen Fade)

Triple X vs The Briscoe Brothers:

Low-Ki, hot off the X-Division roster decided to take some time off of as a singles competitor, and get back with Elix Skipper to face off one of the most up and coming teams in ECW, The Briscoe Brothers. This was a very fast paced match, and Low-Ki was the one who got the most ring time in this, dominating The Briscoe Brothers. Mark Briscoe about, 7 minutes into the match executed the Cutthroat Suplex on Low-Ki and nearly picked up the win, but Elix Skipper broke it up with a top-rope legdrop. Jay Briscoe jumped into the ring and Low-Ki executed the Ki-Crusher and Jay was knocked out, and Mark was still suffering head pains from the top-rope leg drop. Elix Skipper picked up Mark, and Low-Ki picked up the win after taking him down with a Double Roundhouse Kick to end The Briscoe Brother's impressive winning streak.

Interview:
Styles is shown with the Impact Players

JS- I am here with the new tag team champions, the Impact Players!  Now, I understand that you don't want to be asked any questions, but you wanted to tell everyone something?

JC- We didn't want to tell everyone something, just Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley. (Justin turns his head and tells someone to come here. Dawn Marie walks up.)Hey Bubba you fat piece of ****, remember this chick? The chick who, "Loved you"? She never loved you Bubba. Your brother D-Von knew, evryone knew it, except you. I mean seriously, who the hell can love a fat **** like you?

(Bubba Ray barges in and tackles Justin Credible off of the stool. He throws some stiff punches and knocks Credible out. Bubba runs after Storm, but Storm runs away. Bubba turns around and sees Dawn Marie all alone, and grabs her by the hair. Storm comes back with a chair and hits Bubba in the back of the head with it, and saves Marie. Storm picks up Credible, and the Impact Players w/ Dawn Marie walk away.)

Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka:

This is a classic ECW feud, and these two stars have just been signed b ECW this past Monday. The two former FMW superstars have been battling for the FMW World Title since the death of ECW in early 2000. The match tonight was no different than their classic ECW on TNN battles an not one bit least impressive as the big man Mike Awesome picked up the win after he crushed Masato Tanaka after the Splash Mountain.

RVD & Sabu vs The Gathering (Match of the Year Candidate ):

Both teams came out of the ring at CyberSlam as losers, but now they have a chance to prove to us that they are worthy of fighting for the ECW Tag Team Titles. Tonight, they did just that, giving us one of the best Tag Team matches of the year. These four young superstars showed us exactly what they are made of this match, lasting over a half an hour. Late in the match, RVD executed the Vandaminator on CM Punk, laying him out in the middle of the ring. With Christopher Daniels outside the ring, recovering, Sabu and RVD got on turnbuckles and got ready to do the 5-Star Frog Splash and the Leg Drop to Punk, when all of the sudden Muhammad Hassan knocked RVD off of the turnbuckle to the outside of the ring! Sabu executed the LegDrop and ran after Hassan, and Daniels threw RVD back into the ring. Punk and Daniels executed the Doomsday Deviice and pinned RVD.

After the match, Hassan came back down to the ring, cautiously looking around him to see if Sabu was there.

MH- Sabu! I don't understand you my friend. I watch you on TV, losing match after match with this man. This man who doesn't even appreciate you, all he cares about is getting the titles, and you know it. I came here to ECW to save you from him, and to ask you to team up with me, so we can rip apart the prejudice and people who put us down, ho hold us down and identify us as terrorists. I have come here to climb up to the top, and bring you with me. If you don't want to, fair enough. I'm going to prove myself to you, and all the doubters and prejudice who are in my way, that nothing will stop me.

(World X Title Match):
Muhammad Hassan vs Tajiri (C)

Muhhamad Hassan was right when he said he was here to make an impact in ECW, as he debuts tonight against Tajiri for the title in his first match. Tajiri was not about to let Hassan take his title that easily though, and put up a great fight. Muhammad Hassan went for a shoulder block one point in the match and "acidentally" hit the referee. Tajiri hit the Kick of Death and would have had the three count, but the ref was down! The lights went out, Sabu was behind Tajiri and took him down with a DDT. He helped the ref up, and Hassan slapped on the Cammel Clutch to win his first match, and the X-Title.

(ECW World Television Title Match):
Matt Hardy (C) vs Shawn Michaels

This was the final encounter between the two, and HBK was not about to go down w/o a fight. At the start of the match, HBK gored Matt Hardy down to the ground, and started throwing stiff and furious punches. Matt Hardy didn't know what to do. HBK continued his raged assault and threw Hardy outside. HBK followed and slammed Hardy's head against the turnbuckle. This is a side we have never seen of HBK before. HBK rolled up the mat on the floor to reveal concrete. HBK executed a piledriver on the floor and caused Hardy to start bleeding. Hardy was tossed back into the ring, and HBK fetched himself a chair to continue the assault. He was stopped short when Matt Hardy dove rom the inside of the ring to the outside with a suicide dive. This gave Hardy the slight upperhand and a bit to recover from the crazed attacks from HBK. The two battled through thed match, the upperhand changing thorughout.  HBK went for the Sweet Chin Music, but Hardy ducked and executed the Twist of Fate to pick up the win.

Interview:
Part 3 of Q&A.

JS- Our last guest tonight is the former ECW World Champion, Christian. Christian, you lost he title to Shane Douglas last night, do you feel like you lost it to soon?

C- Some people would find me selfish by saying yes, but yes. I do feel like I lost it to soon. You would figure holding the title for the 130 days I held it would keep me stisfied, but that is where you are wrong. I feel an empty hole in my heart without that title, that was all I had in this business. And I am going to get it back. And if that means I have to go through Tommy Dreamer, the #1 Contender to do so, so be it. I will have that title around my shoulder once again.

Taz vs Shane Douglas (NON-TITLE MATCH):

These two superstars know each other very well. They knew every move, and they had a counter for it. That is what made this match so speacial everytime they fought. Eventhough Taz has been on a role, Shane Douglas was still the champion, and he would do anything to prove that he was worthy of carying the company on his back.

Before I give full feedback, do you run booked or unbooked?
colmatteusPosted on 08/03/05 at 23:50:51

Quick intro for the new champ, hopefully he's not gonna be Batista on SD! and he gets some mic time :)

Well, I never! I should never have praised the Briscoes... it's the kiss of death. I really like Triple X, however, and this tag division is just stacked now. Good to see a tag division that is actually active... cough WWE cough cough. Nice opener though.

Oooo, I wouldn't have commented on his weight Justin. He'll beat you like you stole his cake or something. I did like this spot though... I had forgotten about Lance, so it stands to reason that Bubba did too. Plus, the dastardly heels still have the upper hand, so I must watch on!

...Lynn/Malenko = ** 3/4? Damn you randomly-generated TNM crowd!

Non-title I suppose. But a good win for the tag champs. Can't wait to see what happens with Bubba and D-Von with this...

And yes folks the obligatory Masato Tanaka/Mike Awesome match. I wonder sometimes if God put them on this earth just to kick one another's asses. Mike Awesome big splash from the top rope = instant death.

Wow... a MotY candidate before it even happens? Super duper! Muhammad Hassan?! WTF, mate? Well it'll be interesting to see where you take that. Super-long match but good things come to those who wait... namely a ***** match.

Man, I hope Hassan can convince Sabu to join him. I can't tell you how many times I confused Sabu for a terrorist in the past several weeks... (PS - "My friend" = LOL)

Well, he did say he'd make an impact. Tajiri should have listened I guess. Sabu!! Oooooh, they're friends :)! Good ending though and Hassan as X champion should be interesting if he can play off the prejudice angle and carve himself a niche for that belt. Interesting move.

Oh Shawn, when will you learn? Version 1 owns your ass. Good desperation from HBK here. Nice match and good defense, but I never want to see these two in the same ring again :P ... well, maybe someday. Just not now. Give HBK a break. Feed him Barry Horowitz next show or something.

Christian!! He IS here (Douglas you lying sack...)! I feel like you lost it too soon too, but hopefully you'll stay in the main event picture. I believe in you, man. And go kick Tommy Dreamer's ass... just for fun but also to get the shot.

Wow, that's gonna be a tough first match as champ. Fairly short for the World champ, but a wins a win. No Horsemen tonight, though... kinda disappointed. But next week's another week :)

Pretty decent show. I'll say 2.5 kudos (out of 5)
