Psymin's TNM-RG Feds

Psymin1Posted on 05/04/05 at 19:03:54

I have decided to steal the idea of a man named Ianclark and use one thread for my whole circuit. In here you will the find the two competing feds of:

TNM-RG-Auburn Hills and TNM-RG- Detroit

These two are located where their titles say they are (Auburn Hills, MI and Detroit, MI). Auburn Hills runs its cards at The Palace of Auburn Hills (where the Detroit Pistons play, who, by the way, WILL repeat this year). And Detroit runs it cards at the Joe Louis Arena (where the Detroit Red Wings play...well, used too, anyway).  They share Talent Limitations and I am using Rick Garrards' Old School rules as my format for these circuits.

I will post a backstory of the feds along with the rosters in just a few minutes. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys my feds.

Detroit Free Press- Wednesday, May 4, 2005

THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED
by Psymin- Associated Press

It has been announced that the long time friends, Mick Foley and Terry Funk, have opened up Professional Wrestling Federations. These two have been seen arguing in the weeks prior, and there is even rumor of a fight between the two, resulting in two brand new wrestling circuits in Southeast Michigan. Mick Foley will be opening up TNM-RG- Auburn Hills, while Terry Funk will be opening up TNM-RG- Detroit. They will hold events in their cities largest Sporting arena (The Palace of Auburn Hills and The Joe Louis Arena, respectfully). This is huge news to the world of wrestling that has been going downhill these past few years.

Rumor has it that these two men were planning on opening up a single fed together but could not agree on almost anything. This is what sparked the arguing and the fight this past month. Both Foley and Funk have given me a statement that I was asked to print in this article. Here they are:

Mick Foley: "For years, I have been wanting to give back to the world what they have given me. It has been my dream to start a wrestling federation, and I wanted to do it with my friend, Terry [Funk], but, no. Funk, you bastard, I beat you in Japan in 1995, and now, one decade later, my business will take over the state of Michigan and the world, when we shut your shit-hole down for good!"

Terry Funk: "He wouldn't agree with me on anything. He wanted everything to be his way. Well, now he can have it cus' I aint teaming with that son of a bitch anymore! He's gone crazy if he thinks he can out-sell me. He's taken a few too many shots to the head from The Rock to be thinking straight! [explicit] HIM! Get the hell out of my way."

This is great news for the talent and the fans, but bad news for the owners because now they only have half the options as they did when they were together. Personally, this writer hopes these men can one-day coincide again. But until then, get ready for some professional wrestling at it's best from Southest Michigan!
Rick GarrardPosted on 05/06/05 at 04:28:40

This oughta be a good read.  The RG feds always have a small roster which makes them really easy to remember what is going on with which wrestlers stories.  And to have "competing" feds this should be really good.

Are you doing this within the same TNM circuit using the weight class manager for the roster split?
Psymin1Posted on 05/06/05 at 05:24:24

Thanks for your kind words.  And, no, I am using two seperate circuits and using the Talent Limitation option from the TNM7-SE Options menu (I am sure you know what it is).  I have the Weight Class Wizard plugin, but havent had time to mess with it to figure it out yet.

Anyway, I have two cards done for Auburn Hills, and one for Detroit, and its looking pretty interesting so far.  I will post them sometime tommorow hopefully.

By the way, kudos on the great ruleset.  I use them a lot, but I never seem to get very far for whatever reasons, but I have a feeling this one will be different.

Thanks again,
~Psymin

What a night of action in the Motor City. We witnessed the return of The Thrillseekers to beat the Backseat Boyz in a hardcore Tag Team match! We saw Edge completely humiliate Tony Lazaro in only 2:44. It was a battle of the big men when Vader took on JBL and won with a massive choke slam. And the ECW-esque matchup of Tajiri and Rhyno was also incredible, with Tajiri knocking out The Man Beast with the Kick of Death.

Match observations:

TNM-RG- Auburn Hills Week 2

Week 2 proved better than the first. This week we were supposed to be crowning all 3 Titles but due to time limits, this didnt happen. We did, however, crown our Tag Team Champs, and our Heavyweight Champion.

The night began with a Mystery Opponent vs. Mystery Opponent match. The fans got lucky and watched Spike Dudley, hardcore young man, take on Mick Foley, hardcore legend, and Owner of Aubrun Hills! This match got so out of hand that they knocked each other out outside of the ring and ended up drawing with a double countout!

Then, we were planning on finding out who would take home the Auburn Hills Television Title next, but due to a time limit expiration, this was not possible. I am sure that there will be some type of rematch next week (though sources say Mark Briscoe may not be in it because the crowd didnt like this man too much). And then Elix Skipper made James Storm tap out to the Fujiwara Armbar submission hold.

Finally, we were able to crown our first ever champions in the Auburn Hills Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match. We witnessed The SATs (Jose and Joel Maximo) take on the team of Tennessee Turmoil (Jeff Jarrett and Jerry Lawler). The veteren team was able to capatalize on a rookie mistake made the two young fellows and won the Tag Team titles after Jarrett applied the Figure-Four leglock.

Then, the main event of the evening. A Two out of Three falls match-up featuring Paul London against Steven Richards (who knocked out his opponent in only 8 seconds last week). Steven Richards took an advantage at about the 14 minute mark when he was finally able to nail his super kick, which is now known as The Career Ender on London to get the first win. But, London was able to come back and get the second win just 3 minutes later. However, the match continued on and Richards looked great like he did last week and nailed The Career Ender once again, knocking London out which allowed to get the 1-2-3, and allowing him to hold the Auburn Hills Heavyweight Championship high into the air, much to the fans resentment. After the match, Richards started spitting into the crowd and even on Paul London's motionless body causing debris to be thrown into the ring as the show went off the air.

Join us next week for even more great Auburn Hills action!
americamamushiPosted on 05/08/05 at 22:06:49

Looks like Terry Funk's Detroit faction got off to a better start.  Foley's Auburn Hills faction bumped things up a notch this time, but as long as Funk can put on a show of the same caliber as last week he should be able to keep pace.
Shaun SindelmanPosted on 05/08/05 at 22:16:32

NO WAY IN HELL Homicide jobbed to Stevie Richards in 8 seconds!
Rick GarrardPosted on 05/08/05 at 23:53:56

at least it wasn't jobbing to the masterlock in 8 seconds
Psymin1Posted on 05/09/05 at 03:30:43

"NO WAY IN HELL Homicide jobbed to Stevie Richards in 8 seconds! "

lol, it was all unbooked, but I couldnt believe it either.  However, it works for the angle I am going for with Richards.

"Looks like Terry Funk's Detroit faction got off to a better start."

It's funny you should say that because I actually thought Auburn Hills got off to a better start and Week 2 was really good for Auburn Hills.  I will be running Week 2 for Detroit later tonight, so hopefully I can post it later.

Thanks for reading guys,

~Psymin

TNM-RG- Detroit Week 2:

Interview with Terry Funk

(TNM-RG- Detroit comes on the air and the shot is in Terry Funk, the Owner's, office. He is sitting in a big black chair with a smile on his face. He begins to speak.

Funk: "You know why I'm smiling? Because I just got done watching Mick Foley's Auburn Hills fed Week 2 taping, and it was shit, man! This is going to be a breeze getting that company off the air. Anyway, unlike my, and I use this word very loosely, 'competition', I am going to make my men fight, and EARN, that Heavyweight title. Tonight, in front of the world, you will see a 16-man tournament for the Detroit Heavyweight Championship! This will mean the Champion, who will be crowned tonight, will have to not only have strength, toughness, and athletisism, but they will need endurance. Because they will have to win FOUR matches in order to become Heavyweight Champion, something not done since the 'Macho Man' did it on Wrestlemania! Why, you may be asking yourself? Because it's all about Prestige. That belt will have the prestige it deserves after tonight, and the champion will have the respect he deserves. That is why I am putting my athletes through this tournament. But, enough of me, lets get the first match of 15 started!"

(The shot goes to the ring where Rhyno is already in it awaiting his mystery opponent.)

16-Man Detroit Heavyweight Championship Tournament:

Round One- Side A:
Rhyno vs. ??? ("Classic" Colt Cabana)
Vader vs. ??? (Tony Mamaluke)
Mike Awesome vs. ??? (Triple H)
Tony Lazaro vs. ??? (Danny Basham)

Round One- Side B:
Edge vs. ??? (Akio)
Tajiri vs ??? (Chris Divine)
Quiet Storm vs. ??? (Christopher Daniels)
John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. ??? (Kid Kash)

Round 2- Side A:
Rhyno vs. Vader
Mike Awesome vs. Danny Basham

Round 2- Side B:
Edge vs. Chris Divine
Christopher Daniels vs. John "Bradshaw" Layfield

Round 3- Side A:
Vader vs. Mike Awesome

Round 3- Side B:
Edge vs. John "Bradshaw" Layfield

Detroit Heavyweight Championship Finals:
John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. Vader
Winner and NEW Detroit Heavyweight Champion:

Vader with a Powerbomb in 12:32

Match Observations:

The fans said it best when they started the "Holy Shit!" chants after Vader was able to pickup JBL, and then through him back down on top of the announcers table! Yes, you read that correctly: Vader powerbombed JBL through the annoucners table, dragged him into the ring, and got his FOURTH 1-2-3 of the evening to become the first ever Detroit Heavyweight Champion!

We first heard from the Owner, Mr. Terry Funk. He explained that there would be a tournament for the Heavyweight Title ion order to bring Prestige to the belt. And that is exactly what happened. Vader beat Tony Mamaluke, Rhyno, Mike Awesome, and John "Bradshaw" Layfield in order to become the Heavyweight champion here tonight.

Everyone in the tournament during the first round had to fight against Mystery Opponent, but the only man who was not on a "One-Night Only Contract" was Christopher Daniels. He was re-signed to a 6 card deal after the show, as were The Thrillseekers. Be sure to join us next week for some more fatastic Motor City Mayhem!

I've been away trying to get my TNM fixed (still trying), but I just wanted to congratulate you on an excellent fed(s).  Nice to know my attempt at a circuit had some minor influence on others, but the quality of your thread far surpasses anything I managed.  But, I WILL BE BACK!!!
Psymin1Posted on 07/06/05 at 18:39:49

Hey everyone,

I have succesfully returned home from my month long Study Abroad in Moscow, Russia.  It was the most amazing month of my life, but I am very happy to be back home.  I am just posting to let you guys know that I plan to be starting up my two competing feds from where I left off.  I am going to be very busy the next few weeks, however, as I am moving out of my parents house, working 5 days a week, and trying to find a new laptop to buy.  Alright, again, its great to  back to te TNM world and I hope you will all be excited to see what happens next in my circuits.

Thanks for all your comments,

Rating: *** 1/4

Interview:
The Champ is Here...

{Stevie Richards came out to the ring, yelling at the fans, even slapping an old lady on the way down.  The crowd truly dispises this man.  Richards talks about how easy it was to beat the hell out of Paul London last week, and how he can do it over and over again if he wanted too.  London, sick of hearing these comments, came down to the ring.  The fans gave London an amazing face pop.  London asked Richards to try to beat his ass again tonight in a heavyweight  title match.  After a brief delay, and to the fans dismay, Richards said NO.  He said London had to earn his title shot, and that he had to do it by beating one man...STEVIE RICHARDS HIMSELF!  London accepted and the match is set for later this evening!}

After The Match:

{After the match is over, the Midnight Epress stand on the turnbuckles recieving a major reaction from the crowd.  Then, from behind come Jeff Jarrett and Jerry Lawler, Tennessee Turmoil, the Tag Team Champs!  The crowd boos them as they run into the ring.  Midnight Epress doesnt see them.  Lawler runs for Eaton and turns him around and throws a few punches at him.  Then he hits a Piledriver!  At the same time Jarrett turns Lane around and nails The Stroke!  The tag champs jump up on the turnbuckle with their tag team belts around their waist as the crowd boos them to Hell!}

Auburn Hills Week 3:

Auburn Hills action is back and badder than ever!  This week we crowned the first ever Auburn Hills Television Champion, Al Snow, as he beat Christian.  And we saw the domination of Stevie Richards continue as he beat Paul London again this week.  And we watched as Midnight Express made their debut in Auburn Hills earning the Number one contendership for the Tag Team titles, and a Title math next week against the men who attacked them after the match, Tennessee Turmoil.  There is no guessing what will happen next week in this action packed circuit!  Seeya then!
